something about the first few episodes of the terror having so many numbers. the men, the provisions, the inventory; but also the tension of counting. the scene where goodsir takes a picture of john franklin and his men and he's counting down the seconds. the lashes being counted down during hickey's punishment. and something about how in later episodes, numbers get lost. dates get forgotten. counting just stops. all of it becomes insignificant. like it was a countdown at first but now the time is just running out instead

really an inexplicable train of thought but i feel like taako is the kind of person who in a modren era au would just decide to go to a shooting range and learn how to shoot a pistol for funsies, but would consider learning to spin the pistol all cool like they do in cowboy movies to be his first and foremost priority. like hes already bought a holster and the moment he is given a gun he immediately starts trying to twirl it. the instructor has to tell him to stop or theyll take the gun away from him. he keeps trying to lead the conversation back to it anyway because he really feels like theyre putting the cart before the horse here if hes learning how to shoot the gun before even knowing how to dramatically reholster it if he were to get in some sort of cowboy duel. hes actually really good at the shooting part but he gets kicked out of the class after his eighth guntwirling attempt in which he accidentally flicks the safety off mid twirl and shoots one of their light fixtures

Whooo, that was a lot! I only got properly started on these like a week ago; I’ve been back at school for the first time in like 3 years which is really eating up my executive function, and with all the crap that happened in Jan/Feb on top of that I wasn’t even sure I was gonna do Forduary at all ^^’ Not half bad for a very very very last minute mad rush to get something out before the late entry cutoff deadline :D

I had a lot of trouble figuring out what to do for the prompts this time around, and eventually ended up making two sketches for each prompt! ...buuuut I absolutely did not have time to do all of them with how late I left it so I just picked my favourite for each week to polish up. I’m probably not gonna finish the others, but I liked how the rough blocking was turning out and I thought the progression of all of them together looked pretty cool, so since I didn’t wanna just not post them I’ve put all the thumbnail sketches under the cut so you can see ‘em ^^

anya and curly i think fascinate me the most. anya for obvious reasons. but curly, he's an enabler but he's not a bad person. it took him being burnt to a crisp and seeing the turmoil and carnage caused by jimmy's actions to realize it was never worth protecting jimmy in the name of friendship. he never could've fixed this, or him. even though he wanted to believe he could, believe in jimmy.

in another situation, with different circumstances and different people - it'd be commendable how he sees the bigger picture and tries to fix things and wants to believe in those around him. but one bad apple spoils the bunch, and he chose his bad apple.

he's a very realistic character in this regard.

OOOOOO!!! I've been waiting for someone to ask since I never actually mentioned the other members of Tommy!!!

They are:

Carson “Vortex/Tex” Shelby — bassist, (31 when they start).

Sarah “Apple” Appelbaum — co-drums, backing vocals, keyboardist (20 when they start).

Lucas “Cass” Jefferson — guitarist, (26 when they start).

So, the band is actually much older than Ice when Tommy starts, he's only about sixteen. He takes on the role of their little brother/kid (LB for Apple, kid for Cass and Tex). They have all been in the music industry for a while, having no luck with frontmen when a label kind of dumps Kairo Jett in their laps. He's perfect, but he's already been so messed up by his time with Disney that they get to watch his slow spiral as he gets consumed by their industry completely. They all partake in the same vices, but never to the same extent as Ice, and they try to protect him and Apple both, but it chews them up and spits them out anyway.

They hold no ill will against Ice for having his own life now, in fact they are unbelievably proud of him. Apple and Cass run their own record label and Tex takes care of his family farm and raises his kids. They're all happy and support him completely. Found family all the way 😭❤️

The reveal that joshua knew about Ben being a double agent in ESS. the scene where ben and murray both LITERALLY REACHED FOR A GUN in secret service. the scene with mrs e in SSBI. the betrayal scene in ssr (not the best moment in the fandom but still works) the scene where murray pushes ben off the boat in SSAS, and most recently the glacier scene in SSGN.
