Cat Comcatibility - Chisa

Chisa gets a whole comic for her Cat Comcatibility Check! She unfortunately chose to try and make friends with a cat That Did Not Want Pets. So now begins her arc of declaring war on cats, not helped by her Father seemly siding with those feisty furballs over her!

All in one version below and some more details.

A stunning example of Father's parenting! Keeping it spoiler free for this post, but his current perspective and priority Chisa, life, cats, and so on causes some friction between the two.

While Null understands Father's perspective they have become incredibly protective of Chisa, and at times a little much like this cat interaction here. They didn't need to pull Chisa away so strongly and scare away the cat and they didn't need to try and confront Father about it so strongly.

Chisa knows a cat scratch wouldn’t have been awful, and she knew there was a possibility of it happening in the first place but she was hoped it would be ok somehow. Despite that, she was hoping her Father would have shown at least a hint of proper care towards her. Just a small, even lightly spoken, “You ok? It’ll heal over quickly, see?”

It's something she wants to hear.

2024 Art Summary!

Summary/main points:

Picked up crochet and started working on simple baby jellyfish

I put July as "July" in double quotes because I posted the Null Jellyfish crochet a few days before July and I had posted enough things in June and August that I just nudged it a little!

April isn't close from what I can tell. I did a lot of doodles and WIP during that month that some could have been posted but ended up being forgotten about for months. Website work for my art was pretty constant during the year but March/April is when it really took off so I wanted to note it.

Some amigurumi I made this year! Featuring jellyfish of my OCs - Chisa (brown and blue), Null (black and pink), and Mother (light purple and yellow) - and a grey cat!

Also made modifications to make Null a little bigger and taller cause he was looking smaller than Mother when I made them and wanted them to at least be as big as her. Might have made them a bit too big, whoops!

Chisa, Father and Null art dump!

I don't think I've said much about Chisa on here, but she is Father's daughter. Yes, his once human daughter. Her Soul was lost during The Incident but years after Father ascended and became an Angel, Null gave up their Composer position and focused on finding a way to restore lost Souls like Chisa's without telling Father.

During the time Null was fixing Chisa's Soul, she grew attached to them and adopted Null as a new parent, who she calls "Null-ren", and also inherits their scarf. Chisa is eventually reunited with her Father and there's a lot they have to catch up on.

I've drawn a surprising amount of Null over the past few months. I still haven't worked out how they looked as a Composer but I've really liked the idea of associating them with some dark branching form with hints of light/color at the edges.

Father wants to give a hug but can't quite...Embrace it. But it's ok. Null understands.

It's probably going to be a bit before I can properly explain it, but Null has done a big Thing for Father and Father is so, so, so thankful for it. So much that Father wants to give Null a hug! It's difficult for Father to full commit to it because of their rocky history, and especially since this Thing seems too good to be true.

Null has a bad habit of not revealing everything, especially when it's something unpleasant, and Father is wary of that. Father can't bring himself to press on that right now, and when Null says it will be fine, Father is trying, again, to trust Null.
