I really hope that in future we will see "A child who hates his parent with all his heart actually becomes more and more like them" trope in Rin's case.

I want to see how Rin has some, for example, minor habits that are suddenly identical to Huey's and everyone who knew Grand Sorcerer gets a damn vietnam flashbacks from this.

While Eiden has no strong opinion on Huey because "well, I didn't meet him in person", Rin just fucking hates and despise him. To be fair, as a child who probably was stuck with his parents'corpse as an expired packed lunch in isolation for a minimum decade - Rin has full rights to hate Huey. Oh, forgot about something: also due to the parent's fault the closest and most dearest person [older brother] for that child has fate as fucking sacrificial lamb for the sake of world saving.

And guess who from these two has most similarities with Huey? Hell yeah.

Anyway, I hope that Rin has kicked Huey's corpse at least ten times a year.

And that Rin would go full berserk if someone would dare to tell him something about "acting like Huey". I mean, he already went crazy when the old fox mentioned the Rin&Eiden's link with Huey.

MASSIVE spoilers for Rusted Nation, and perhaps the entire game as well.

Of all the things I would've expected from this event, getting an Actual Sprite for Huey was not something I thought I'd see!

Okay, while we still can't see his face there are other things to take note of. The fact that he's blonde, then again this hair color could just be another part of his disguise. The most interesting part, is his cane.

And were did we see a cane similar to this?

I wanted to write something about my new Nukani oc so Of Course I had to add Kuya, and then it got out of hand-

Kouchirou sinks to the ground, back against an old oak tree, as he struggles to regain his breath. Ever since that blasted extra moon appeared in the sky, the forest has been wrong; ill at ease and thrumming with strange essence, it turns the tanuki away from home again and again, guiding him deeper into the choking undergrowth.

For the first time since his recent transformation, Kouchirou yearns for his animal form. If he reverts now it will take days of pain to return to this human shape, but the memory of his soft, thick fur and sturdy body tempts him desperately. He wants nothing more than to crawl into an old den and hide, to curl up and wait for the pounding between his ears to go away...

But before he can make a decision, a thrill shakes down Kouchi's spine, causing the sensitive fur of his ears and tail to spring to attention. Though he can't pinpoint its source, he knows this feeling. A predator is nearby, one more dangerous than any of the crazed monsters he has faced in the last day. A yokai, and a powerful one at that, is watching him, stalking him, and it wants Kouchirou to be afraid. Well, two can play at that game; Kouchi is a predator too. He rolls to his feet, balancing on hybrid toes he's barely used to. Eyes flicking to and fro restlessly, the tanuki allows his claws to extend and bares his teeth at the thick darkness between the surrounding trees.

"Oh? What's this?"

Any thought of fighting flies out the window when this silken voice drifts through the forest. It seems to come from everywhere and nowhere, bringing with it an aura of power, of presence, that sends Kouchirou's animal instincts completely haywire. He freezes, his breathing shallow.

"Fox got your tongue, pup? You're quite a long way from home, you know. The eclipse is dangerous for such a defenseless little thing."

Kouchi can't respond. Even if he wanted to, fear has glued his mouth shut; he can only stand there, frozen to the spot, as a delicate but wild scent overwhelms his sensitive nose. It's almost familiar, and he tries to place it, but to no avail.

A lilting laugh like the chime of a windblown bell swirls through the forest.

"Won't you speak, pup? I do suppose I'm asking a lot of you. You're so new, after all. Haven't even learned to hide your markings, how sweet."

Kouchirou resists the urge to tuck his hands, fingers stained the same deep brown as his claws, into his robes. It's true he hasn't been able to hide his mask yet, or the dark rings circling his chest and torso, and dismissing his ears, tail, and furred, canid feet is entirely out of the question. He has no mentor, no older yokai to walk him through the process of learning to navigate this new existence.

"Though I suppose that's not your fault either. You reek of human." The word is laced with disgust. "You must be living with them, no? It's no wonder you're behind the curve. Poor thing," the voice coos. "You don't know any better."

At this, Kouchirou finally finds his voice.

"You're wrong."

The next laugh is more of a bark, canid and dripping with malicious mirth. "Am I? Let me guess; they've been kind to you, they've housed you and fed you, they've obviously clothed you. You wear the garments of their delusion."

Kouchi's hands ball into fists, and he takes a step forward. This is also true; the old priest did give him the robes he currently wears, embossed with sigils of the Church of Klein. He has listened raptly to the priest's words, learned to read from the Holy Book, and he believes in God's works.

"The God of Klein is not a delusion! His works are all around us, and he loves all things, even yokai! You're-"

The tanuki's jaw audibly snaps shut as a pair of glittering golden eyes emerge from the darkness barely ten feet from him. A body follows, thick purple mist coalescing into a lithe, elegant form. The essence-laden musk of an alpha predator clogs Kochirou's nose and his nostrils flare; as much as he tries to resist the instinct, his tail curls between his legs as this new presence demands his submission. Tall purple ears and a sleek tail are the last detail Kouchirou can parse before a terrifyingly strong grip on his chin forces his gaze upwards.

"This forest is not the domain of humans, little puppy. They are parasites, leeching off a land they will never own, creating false idols to mold the world to their expectations and to shoulder blame when the karma they've collected turns to take it's due."

The kitsune's claws dig into Kouchirou's cheeks, drawing blood that tickles as it runs down the tanuki's throat. Despite his previous bravado, Kouchi is mesmerized by those golden eyes, drawn in by the delicious essence that fills his lungs as he pants in his captor's hold.

Those eyes crinkle as the kitsune smiles and leans closer to whisper into Koushi's ear.

"You'll do well to remember this, pup. As long as you live in this forest, I am your God."

Huey: It’s a handle taken from a Night Lantern.

Huey: I left the rest of the lantern somewhere in the desert. Perhaps one day it will have some effect on the area.

Huey: If so, that handle will begin to glow. Feel free to come back and investigate if that day ever comes.

Kuya: But you have no idea when this thing will start to glow, or what might happen?

Huey: Exactly. Even if something happens, there’s no guarantee it’ll be of any interest. Whether you come back to investigate or not isn’t important to me.

Kuya: …

Kuya: … We’ll just have to see what mood I’m in when that day arrives.

Many years ago, during one of the Grand Sorcerer’s countless visits to the Fire Territory—

Kuya: So you’re saying… this outfit is specially designed for desert climates?

Kuya glides his fingertips over the fabric and feels an instant cooling sensation spread through his skin.

Stallkeeper: That’s right! This type of fabric keeps you cool in the sun and gives the feeling of a light breeze blowing over every inch of your body.

Kuya: Oh…

Stallkeeper: Gold coins…! Thank you, sir! You have spectacular taste!

Kuya: Hmm… The cooling features are intriguing, but the overall look of the ensemble leaves a lot to be desired.

Background: None

Music: None (Kuya snaps his fingers)

Like a flash, the outfit goes up in a burst of purple foxfire. But rather than turn into ash, it morphs onto Kuya’s body, unrecognizable from its previous form.

Kuya: Will do nicely. 

Eager traveler: Hey, have you heard…? There’s a rumor going around about an ancient palace filled with treasure and surrounded by a vast oasis somewhere deep in the desert.

Skeptical Traveler: Yeah, I also heard that the treasure is in fact a Night Lantern that can grant any wish. Sounds a bit rich if you ask me. Kuya: (There it is again… I’ve heard that same rumor mentioned several times in the past few days.)

Kuya: A Night Lantern hidden somewhere in the desert…

Kuya turns the handle over his hands as he ponders the rumor spreading throughout the Fire Territory.

Kuya: (Hmm… Could it have something to do with Huey?)

Kuya: Heh… this little thing might just be more interesting than I thought.

A familiar figure passes silently by, his footsteps soft enough that no ordinary person would notice him, but not soft enough to escape the keen hearing of a fox yokai.

Kuya: Slipping away without so much of a word, as usual?

Huey: The altar has been regulated. You can stay here and explore if you like. As for me, I’m leaving.

Kuya: Already?

Huey: Yes, there is nothing here that interests me.

With that, Huey disappears into the shadows amidst the bustle of the marketplace.

Kuya: ……

Kuya: (Perhaps the next time I’m here… I’ll feel the same way.)

Headcanon time: Who might be on the aroace spectrum in a sex game?

I missed arospec week by... a few weeks lol. And hey look i'm making a Nukani headcanon post instead of a questionable theorizing analysis for once! If you have contributions for characters I don't have enough info on (especially Quincy), please add on!

Disclaimer: I'm aromantic but allosexual. For me, this means I experience sexual attraction, but not romantic attraction. In my local kink scene, I actually personally know several community members + friends who are asexual or aromantic or both, and some engage in sex while some don't. And lastly for demographic proof only, I'm in an unofficial discord server where some unspecified members are asexual, but they still play this porn game, so yes not everyone who plays this game are into romance or sex.

TLDR: someone can be asexual or aromantic or on the aroace spectrum and still have sex but that varies for everyone!

Now that that's out of the way, here are my headcanon times! None of this is true or ever will be true due to the marketing of a porn harem game, but I think it's fun to headcanon! Feel free to disagree cause I know how people reacted to that "Is Aster trans" reddit post.

Speaking of Aster. I think he's also aroacespec! In his SR room 5, we got text narration ONE time that he gushed or orgasmed or something with a vague hot rod behind Eiden's back. But we've never seen Aster naked nor involve his genitals with another body in the 5 H scenes we have with him. And unlike EVERY other character, he’s only described to have orgasmed once. He also constantly talks down on morvay’s sexual habits, and while it’s a running gag that’s played for laughs, isn’t it possible Aster actually thinks this way? But is still willing to engage in sexy times with Morvay because they're essence creatures so that's how you exchange essence, and they’re basically an old married couple & deep down they do care about each other. And remember what I said about aromantic or asexual people who still engage in kink or sex.

Next, Karu my beloved chew toy. At the time I wrote Garu/Karu analysis part 1, I thought both of them were firmly allosexual but also presented some evidence someone could use to argue Karu might be demi or aroace or something else. But the more I think about it, the more I think yeah, he might be. Or he’s just a tsundere. I swear I'm not delusional and am a logical canon-based theory fan. (Btw, according to google searching, it is possible for different alters to have different sexualities, so this does not apply to Garu).

Quincy- I have never watched a Quincy intimacy room (including his SR & R cards that I have unlocked) but my vibes based off all the other story content with him makes me think he might be in the umbrella, so Grey-ace, Demi, etc. From what I’ve heard other people say, Quincy has had a lover in the past but currently only has sex if Eiden begs for it. This might fit into the definition of people who don't really care for sex themselves, but is interested in it for their partner. If anyone has Quincy cards and has more information, please let me know!

Huey: ok so we have almost no information on him. But he didn’t have sex with his clan members. He was definitely not romantically invested in any of his clan members nor do I recall him having hints of being sexually or romantically invested in anyone else, which does not equate aromantic or asexual but its still possible. And that’s all I got. Anyone got additional input?

Eiden: ah our beloved Eiden. Let’s ignore that in meta, he’s supposed to be the audience self insert (even though he’s the least self insert type MC ever) and therefore he is not going to “prioritize” one ship over another.

Anyways, so I am 100% sure he’s not asexual. BUUUUT he has not expressed romantic lovey dovey attraction to his clan members. More significantly, he does not seem to pick up MULTIPLE clan members’ romantic hints towards him. Yes in Fateful Aegis, Eiden says “I love you too” back to Yakumo, but it’s prefaced with something like Your grandparents love you and I love you too-ish, which to me indicates found family love. Kuya has said the Chinese/Japanese equivalent of “I love you” (“the moon is bright/the moonlight is beautiful tonight”) and that totally went over Eiden’s head. Dante & Edmond are also intensely crushing on Eiden… but they’re tsunderes so it’s probably gonna take forever to get across. The other members are different types of dedicated but open relationships rather than traditionally romantic relationships (except for Rei, who’s still getting there). And I think this is a great thing! All these varying relationship styles that are given the same weight & importance & Eiden has such appreciation & care for all of them, despite not providing traditionally romantic affection back.

Aromantic people can still love their friends & family! We’re not heartless emotionless creatures. We just may not experience or be able to comprehend romantic attraction. And i don’t think that’s a defect nor a bad thing.* And I think it’s especially cool when we compare Eiden’s bad hookup habits in the real world with how he has multiple regular partners that truly value him and a new found family in Klein. If he was aromantic this whole time, it’s kind of a positive perspective, isn’t it? Some aromantic people do experience “squishes”, which is a term for when we feel emotional desire for a platonic relationship. Obviously none of Eiden’s relationships are truly platonic due to the sexual element, but they all lack the romantic element from Eiden’s side.

(Anyways, Eiden won’t ever “reciprocate” romantic love because it’s a harem game, but shhhhh. Also to anyone who says it’s an Asian game and the characters aren’t going to say “I love you”…. Well in their newest intimacy rooms, both Kuya and Yakumo literally just did. Heck one of Forest Night Kuya’s sprite dialogues repeats that!)

So yeah, I hope you enjoyed this pointless headcanons!

*Speaking from my personal experience, I’ve have several sexual partners over time, but I never had the desire to date them or be romantically invested in them. And a weirdly telltale sign, that Jaidenanimation pointed out quite nicely, is that when she listened to romance songs she was like “wait that’s what people experience when they’re in love???” I’ve read a TON of romance and have heard a TON of love songs, but I cannot relate to any one of them. I literally have not felt any of those feelings. And when I have sexual partners, the horniness is definitely the forefront compared to any “falling in love” feelings. I did have what I now realize were several “squishes” in high school/college. What squishes feel like to me, are like “I wanna be your friend & you’re really cool & I cherish you! Like a lot! And also I don’t mind if you fucked me!” which emotionally feels different from “I’m in love with you!!!” (Which yeah i still don’t know what “in love” feels like, and I’m fine with not knowing!).

Eiden remembers asking Dante about Solorian religion. And of course, Dante swells with pride, conversing about his culture.

From what Eiden remembers about Akua o ka lā is that, He made the sun in the lands of the fire territory. Legends has it that with the sun, he used it to control the weather. Dante stated that he was rumored to have long, chocolate brown hair fading into a gold color and pink feminine eyes.

The way Dante described him, he sounded hot!

He wanted know more about him. Eiden asked Olivine, but the priest knew as much as Eiden.

Basically nothing.

So, he wanted to ask the oldest person he knows.

Quincy.

And that's what led him to his current predicament.

On the outside of Quincy's door, listening in on a symphony of high pitched whines and low octave groans.

-On the other side of the door-

Quincy nips at the smaller man's neck. The smaller arches his back in pleasure.

"Winnixa..." Quincy called to the man currently taking all of his thrusts.

"Ah~ha, ah~" the man now identified as Winnixa violently moves up and down at the pace Quincy has set.

Quincy abrupted stops his movements and Winnixa loudly cries out.

"W-why~ y-y~you sto-"

He was cut off by Quincy quickly pulling out and suddenly changing his position.

Ass up, face down.

With a swift reentry, Quincy redoubles his efand increases his speed tenfold.

Winnixa's cries and pleads are also increased tenfold.

He was actually screaming his lungs out.

Winnixa lost count of how many he came.

He had tears running down his pink colored eyes.

Winnixa felt Quincy's big hand in his chocolate brown and gold curly hair.

-Back to Eiden-

Eiden was flabbergasted on so many things.

Who's Winnixa? How does Quincy know this man? What's their relationship?

He decides to leave the 'lovebirds'(?) alone.

He would ask Quincy about it tomorrow.

-The next day-

Eiden intercepted Quincy at breakfast.

"Hey Quincy!" Eiden greets.

"Hm." in Quincy language that means 'God morning to you too.'

"So um, I have a question for you. Who was tha-"

"So I was right. You were the snooper last night."

"Wait, so you knew I was there for awhile?!" Eiden nearly yelled out before realizes they are right in of Edmond and Dante's room.

They both are grumpy in the morning when awakened before their natural time.

"Follow me." Is all Quincy said before making his way back to his room.

Now, Eiden is face-to-face the mystery man from last night.

With a slight blush on his face, Winnixa introduced himself.

"Hello, I'm Winnixa. I'm also a member of the clan back when Huey was around."

Then, that's when Eiden put everything together.

"YOU'RE AKUA O KA LA?!?!?"

"Um, yes."
