VIRTUAL VISITA IGLESIA 2021 - Day 14⁣ Ermita dela Nuestra Senora delas Angustias, Tayabas, Quezon⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Ive encountered several secondary chapel or ermitas suppprting the town's main church but the ones in Tayabas stands out for having 2 - the one pictured here blocks from the Basilica and the other one at the old cementerio dedicated to San Diego de Alcala outside the town. This #purple chapel is largely intact with its facade festooned with elaborate ornaments. The shape is made graceful by cascading scrolls giving it a distinctive profile. Painting it a purple hue might be more of paying homage to the Dolorosa delas Angustias whom the chapel is dedicated to than historical accuracy. ⁣ ⁣ Seven Churches in Seven Days, seven of the nicest #church #facades ive been to in the country, one per day of #semanasanta till #easter.
