:3 I'm back!! So how would BJ2 and the NSRtist react to receiving valentine's chocolate? ( :) Platonic chocolate for Yinu , Sayu and Tatiana and the others can be romantic if you want to)

Depends on who is giving it to them.

For all of them, if a random fan is giving them chocolates then the artist would just thank them and take them. Probably not eat them though (Mama would make sure Yinu doesn't eat them because 1. they could be tampered with, and 2. Yinu is lactose intolerant and those chocolates most likely have lactose in them and Yinu would try to eat them anyway).

If it is one of the other NSR/B2J cast giving chocolates I would say it is not romantic except in cases of dating (so like if May decided to give Remi some Kosher and gluten-free chocolate that would obviously not be romantic). If that's the case it's more of a "thank you," make sure the person can eat those chocolates. So like Sofa without nuts, Remi May and Eve having Kosher chocolates, Yinu without lactose, Tila getting vegan chocolate, Zuke getting dark chocolate or low/no-sugar chocolate, you know, stuff like that.

In that instance the person would just accept the gift and maybe return a chocolate present if they had one. Or offer a piece if they knew the giver could eat that specific chocolate and they didn't have a chocolate gift to give back.

Now for romantic chocolate exchanges then obviously the giver would either make or buy chocolate they absolutely know their SO could eat (or even non-chocolate foods/gifts if their SO doesn't like sweets like Rin doesn't really care for sweets)

I'll put the rest under the cut as I go into details about what each couple would do for food/gifts on Valentine's day.

Haym/May/Eve: Haym would make a date out of cooking with Eve and May. The three would go to Eve's house and make kosher and gluten-free chocolates and other snacks to enjoy. Then sit and watch movies together.

Zuke/Rin: These two probably wouldn't even do chocolate or sweets, they would go out on a date to a nice restaurant and then on a walk near a beach. If they did do anything with chocolates Zuke would get Rin a more salty/less sweet chocolate and Rin would get some rich dark chocolate for Zuke. They'd spend the night at Zuke's place and cuddle while listening to music or a podcast in the dark.

DJSS/Neon/Mama(?): Whether if all three, just two, or none of them are dating, I still think they spend the day together. If no one is dating then they are all spending the day with Yinu, Carna, Maragold and the Sayu Crew/most of the Club.

If two are dating then the kids are with whoever is not in the date (so with DJ if it's Mama/Neon, with Neon if it's DJ/Mama, and obviously with Mama if it's Neon/DJ). The one watching the kids is also probably hanging out with the Crew and Club.

If all three are dating then the kids are alone with the Crew/Club as the horizon ship goes on a date together.

Horizon: Nice dinner date. Neon showers them in gifts he made, both edible foods and just physical stuff. Mama brings them into an off-limits-to-the-public garden where they relax and talk, probably eat some edible flowers with DJ while Neon listens to the two laugh. DJ shows them intricate space magic, letting them touch space dust in a controlled manner and creating beautiful works of light for the two. They go to someone's home after picking up Yinu and all have a snack and talk some more.

NeonNova: I can see the two going rollerblading/skating together. At first Neon thinks he's going to have to help DJ get used to the skates only for DJ to literally be better than Neon and out dancing him altogether. The two end up in a friendly dance-off, trying to be better than the other which just turns into the two skate-dancing together until basically being too exhausted to continue or being kicked out from the place closing. They would have had a lot of fun and would go to DJ's place where they would order some food/smoothies and relax together for the night.

Heartmonitor: They go straight up dancing. The two put on some clothes they haven't worn in a while and find a place that has enough space for them to dance. Mama and Neon teaching each other how to do certain dances. Even though Neon is a great dancer he doesn't know everything, so Mama teaches him some dances her and Papa would dance to and they just dance the night away until the early hours of the morning where they would go to Mama's home and pass out on the couch together.

Treespace: These two go and get some dinner together and then see a movie. They then go on a small walk together and talk about what they watched while eating snacks they brought. I can see them holding hands or Mama with her arm around DJ's shoulder and DJ having a hand around Mama's waist as they walk. They get to a point where they are in a clearing under moonlight and just hug each other with their heads touching and do a small slow dance. The two probably even singing softly to each other, like a duet song. They then head to one of their homes and cuddle together until they go to sleep.

Haru/Dew: Though not officially dating, Dew would try his best to spend the day with just Haru, taking sear out on a little adventure instead of staying with their younger siblings, Yinu, and the Crew/Club. Haru would probably object at first, not wanting to be rude and leave, until the rest of the Club kinda pushed sear to go saying it will be fine (Haru not knowing Dew really likes sear). So the two go out and get snacks and some toys, just walking around Akusuka and having fun. They would probably spend most of the time in an arcade playing two-player games.

Purl/West/Cyril: These guys are out of the city for the day. They just up and leave to get away from it all. West brings them to secluded nature places while Purl and Cyril take all kinds of pictures (with digital and analog cameras they brought). There are some tourist attractions they go to where Purl spoils them and buys a shit ton of stupid stuff for the two. They probably also get lunch at some crappy looking place that serves the most amazing food that Cyril got recommended by Rei a while back. By the end of the day they either get a hotel somewhere back in the city (where they get room service) or just crash at West's place for the night (where West cooks for them). Then they have "fun" for the rest of the night.

Zimelu/Celine: I don't know why but I see these two going to like a car race or wrestling match. It would probably be Celine's gift to Zimelu as I don't see Celine into wrestling, she might be into races though. But yeah, they have a date at a racetrack most likely and then Zimelu will bring Celine to an upscale clothing store where the two find some new outfits. They would then go to a restaurant together, eat, get some desert to go, head back to Barraca Mansion and eat their desert while watching a show or movie together in the living room/TV room.

Eloni/Barbara/Joey: I don't see these three doing anything special for Valentine's day. Barbara is probably working on some kind of article while Joey's cynical ass thinks the holiday is stupid and only promotes capitalism and fake love. That won't stop Eloni from sending each of them a rose or two with a box of chocolates/snacks he knows they like. I don't think they do hang out on the day, but they do send texts celebrating the day (Joey texts a small rant about the holiday, goes silent for a moment and then sends them a gif that says "I love you" or something with a heart so they know he still cares).

Rei and his girlfriend: Rei would leave Vinyl City for the day (probably a few days actually) to travel back to his girlfriend who is in another country. The two would just stay in together, order food, Rei might play her a song he wrote, and the two would make up for being far away with each other the whole time Rei was over there.

Elivy and his husband: These two are going on a date somewhere in an upscale area. Maybe to an art museum or a theatrical show. They go to a restaurant and then back home. Probably kiss a bit and then do some work together before going to bed early and cuddling together. Maybe they have fun but I see them more as just keeping the day pretty not-special. This would be an average date for them anyway.

Quida and her Ex: She would get flowers and chocolates from her ex-boyfriend/husband (I don't know which he is yet), which she would promptly throw out and send a vague tweet about men being desperate and to get over themselves.

Joust and his Ex: Joust ends up getting drunk and texting his ex a lot. They hook up for the night (more for her pitying him than her actually caring about him) and then she basically leaves his ass again before he wakes up.

Martha and Aria: Both of them are romantically alone so they spend some mother-daughter time together (along with Aria's baby). They watch some animated movies and eat snacks. They get the baby some stuffed animals and probably dress them up in a cute Valentine's day heart outfit and have a little photo shoot. Anything to stem off the loneliness the two feel. (Neon also might have sent a small card to Martha, nothing romantic but still as a nice gesture to hope she and Aria are going okay).

[Okay, I think that's all the couples I have (also Martha and Aria for some reason). I can see Tila trying to ask a girl she likes out, or maybe Noa and Asa going to a bar and trying to hook up with people. Also on the fence of whether Sofa has a partner, right now they don't, but if they do they would take them to the movies].

Yinu's mother Natura woke up in the dead of the night, hearing miscellaneous violent noises. She immediately got out of her bed knowing exactly what was happening.

When Natura got to the next room she saw Neon with a knife, violently mumbling to himself.

"Neon?" Natura said, onto which Neon immediately turned around. He looked at her as if he saw a ghost, creeping closer to him.

"N-n-no!" Neon said holding his knife up, "G-get away f-f-from me!"

"Neon, you are going through another episode." Natura said still walking up to Neon, "Please, calm down."

"I SAID GET AWAY!" Neon then swiped his blade across Natura's face, causing a large scar to appear over her eyelid.

Natura screamed in pain while putting her hand over her newly made scar, while Neon kept his guard still believing she was some sort of enemy. Natura's eyes then turned to a pale white as her hair had turned to many branches. She then punched Neon into the wall, breaking his screen.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!" Nature said now blinded with rage,

"BRING IT ON!" Neon said knife out ready to defend,

But before the two could do any more damage to each other, a set of voices started calling out for them.

"MAMA!"

"DAD!"

Before they knew it, Yinu was there hugging her mother's side and 1010 was there pinning they're father down.

Once both sides started to calm down, they both saw the damage one had done to the other. They were both filled with shock, worry, and sadness.

"I... I didn't mean to..." Natura said,

"Oh god, what have I done!" Neon said,

Before anything else can happen, they both dropped to the floor, crying.

(Think I’ve spent a good minute trying to understand if that was a a sad clown face or something like “:Oc” a gasping face- before giving up lmao. Doesn’t matter, both clowns and amazed folks are welcome here ahah.) I think I had already responded to an ask about my ships in the fandom but since I only talked about Neon/DJ and Eve/Tatiana (my main ones) I can add on it!

Mhhh- I weirdly don’t directly ship a lot of stuff but I did see around some interesting pairings so- here we go!  (Note- I personally see most of these more like, close friendships/bromances than actual ships- but I also like when I see ‘em portrayed as romantic ships!)

Mayday/Eloni (GreenDay(??)) I like the chaotic duo/”I like them ‘cause they make me laugh” dynamics I’ve seen around with these two! Also I’d say they look adorable together;; it’s a ship that makes me smile!

Mayday/Eve  This one I see more as close friendship rather than romantic. I like the idea of May trying to get close to Eve with their shared interest in art (I headcanon that MayDay draws B2J’s covers herself, while Zuke paints them), maybe with the excuse to learn more about painting and “art understanding” from Eve! They do be looking cute when together with their contrasting personalities and styles though-

Zuke/Rin This I can see as both romantic and platonic with how I headcanon Rin and how they started getting close. Platonic- Rin hanging out in the sewers with the duo, especially Zuke, and getting close to ‘em since that’s where he can be himself without worrying about his image. The good feeling of finally having friends based only on who you truly are and not who you’re supposed to be, ya know? Romantic instead- Rin falling for how carefree and laidback he looks, and with how he isn’t fazed by his flirting but when he starts talking about their interest in technology and other kinds of music, Zuke's interest sparks up. He loves the smile he gives him when he knows Rin is being himself, and Zuke highly prefers that part of him as well.

Neon/Mama (HeartMonitor(?)) Two single parents teaming up together?? Hell yeah. Also like- Amaranth(Mama) being tall protective wife material? Just lovely.  They’d look extremely sweet together, also 1010 being Yinu’s watchfull brothers/babysitters is something I cannot have enough of (guess Yinu is a rare exception to my deep hate for children eh;;) so that would only add to the ship! :,> I do like them only being close with one another, supporting each others’ in losses and hard times. 

Purl-hew/DK West I have absolutely zero idea how this came up and around but- heck it’s interesting as all hell. I like the idea of Purl-hew having a strong bf double his size (size difference baby wHOOP WHOOP)- Purl might be surely able to defend themselves from 1010 or nonbinary haters but sometimes all that “robot/android laws” stuff can be a bich to deal with when the threat is only vocal- so that’s where DK could come in 👀. Also like- contrast of personalities once again eh eh;; calm android lad with lound and energetic titan of a man,,,

And that’s all the new stuff I guess- the rest I got is like,, friendship only headcanons (it’s mostly about 1010 though lmao.)

What would happen if Yinu and/or her mother died in the FRAU?

Depends on when they die. Since you're asking this I'm gonna assume you mean relatively close to the time the FRAU takes place and not like in 20+ years from now.

Anyway, under the cut because it's kinda long and also has some triggering stuff. Warnings for suicide, drug/alcohol use, car crashes, talking about death (obviously).

It's hard to pick who to start with because I can see them affecting each other a lot. I guess I'll start with Yinu.

There's a few ways I can really see Yinu dying young. The main one being that the stress and lack of care for herself actually makes her really sick and (because of her father's genetics) she ends up dying because of medical problems. I doubt at this point she would want to get cybernetics because of how depressed she is, and it would be a thing her and Mama fight about but Mama just decides to let Yinu go and not force her to get cybernetics because Yinu said she would never forgive Mama if she did.

In that case, Yinu and Mama wouldn't be working for NSR anymore as Yinu would physically be unable to do so. A new charter would be put in place and really nothing much changes. Sayu's Crew feels a little bad, Neon J is devastated but couldn't even say goodbye because of how much Mama hated him, 1010 aren't really effected except maybe Blue, Eve just ignores it and doesn't think about Yinu or her mother, DJ is probably a little sad but isn't all that affected by it, and Tatiana is sad for Yinu and her mother but doesn't believe it's her fault as Yinu never spoke up about the stress so there was no way Tatiana could have helped prevent this.

Another way could be in an accident, such as a car accident or possibly a house fire. Mama is always with Yinu in the car/limo, so I doubt one of those would kill Yinu as Mama would immediately encase Yinu in a protective field of vines and her body. So unless they got t-boned on Yinu's side, which is definitely a possibility (and would end in Yinu's death), Yinu is going to survive that. It is an accident and more people are sad but in a way you pity someone who passed that you don't really know. There would be a mourning period for NSR and the city, but a new charter would be elected soon after (probably "in honor" of Yinu) and things would go on as usual (similar reactions from NSRtists, except maybe Tatiana is more affected by the loss).

The house fire though is something I can see happening a lot more than the car accident death. Either Mama is out or is asleep and Yinu is making herself some food. Her depression and probably playing the piano a lot more to just escape reality has made her tired and she leaves the stove/oven on as she lays on the couch. She forgets to set a timer and what she's cooking catches fire, setting the whole house on fire along with all the plants and killing Yinu (and possibly Mama).

If Mama is out, she comes home to either the blaze or the aftermath (probably close to the end because someone would have called her about it and she would have rushed home). There's nothing Mama can do to help Yinu and so she is devastated and wants to find answers as fast as possible only to learn it was a kitchen fire and Yinu was most likely asleep on the couch. Pretty sure Mama would never forgive herself for leaving Yinu alone like that, and would even more hate herself once she heard rumors that people were spreading that Yinu did this on purpose (or even that Mama did it to get life insurance on her daughter, which would infuriate Mama to no end).

Same deal with the NSRtists as the car accident. The only difference I see is that Neon J would go out of his way to try and connect with Mama and comfort her. Even through all the shit she put him through, he lost his kids in a house fire and knows exactly what Mama is going through. She actually lets him in a bit and the two share a heartfelt moment but it doesn't erase the years of pain the two have been in (so no heartmonitor).

If Mama is in the house when it happens, so this is probably the middle of the night, they both just die from the fire. It's seen as a tragedy, but people just move on. Basically same reactions as the car accident scene. Neon J and Green probably go to the site to pay respects to Yinu (and sorta Mama).

Now, technically there is another way Yinu could die. It's not suicide. Yinu, to me, isn't the type of person who would ever commit suicide, at least not the standard ways (like medical suicide is probably one she would allow to happen to her, as seen in the sickness one where she refuses medical help that could save her). However, Yinu does do some drugs and drinks a bit of alcohol in this AU, so this ask I got earlier (one I didn't really want to answer) will also go here

"What if Yinu died from acute alcohol intoxication? (FRAU) how would her mother act?"

In that case, if it's either alcohol or other drugs (though I don't see Yinu doing hard drugs, mostly recreational stuff like pot and mushrooms probably) that kills her, then Mama would probably be arrested for neglecting her child or possibly allowing her child to use substances (pretty sure Mama knew but didn't fully want to stop Yinu as she didn't think it was abnormal for a teen to have a "little fun" but she didn't know how far Yinu was going with this stuff).

It just becomes a huge scandal, and while some people are sad for Yinu's passing, a lot more people are saying it's her own fault, she should have been taking better care of herself/not doing that stuff, just a lot of victim blaming is being done. NSR rejects Yinu's action and makes the Megastars do a drug test (only for publicity reasons, none of them are passing but Tatiana doesn't let the public know that and says all her artists are clean). So yeah, a lot less sympathy for Yinu or Mama in this version, with Mama probably getting put into jail or something like that.

Now, for Mama's turn.

Firstly, in a lot of the above cases, Mama would actually commit suicide herself because of the loss of her daughter. In another AU she would go to her mother for solace, but in the FRAU, Mama feels like she has absolutely nothing else and ends up ending herself. This is most likely to happen in the medical suicide, house fire, and drug death versions.

However, if Mama were to die first it would be most likely a freak accident or she gets some kind of disease specific to her species (which would also kill Yinu since Yinu's would also be affected but also has a weaker immune system).

Freak accident would probably be another car crash, but not with Yinu in the car. If Yinu is in the car, Mama would use her powers in a much quicker manner than if she was alone in her car (she wouldn't be in a limo without Yinu). If she is by herself, her guard is a lot more down and she... she doesn't drive recklessly but she isn't being the most super attentive or careful driver. So she would end up in a crash and, probably from lack of sleep or something, ends up not using her powers in time to take most of the blow. Probably the car blows up or there is a fire that also hurts Mama a lot. I can only really see this taking place at night, so she'd probably not be getting any help soon and ends up passing in the car. If someone does get there in time, she would end up passing in the ride to the hospital or at the hospital from her injuries.

Another freak accident could be a kitchen accident which ends in Mama being very badly burnt (I'm thinking oil fire that got out of control and as Mama was trying to put it out, the thing fell over and splashed over her, causing severe burns). They are so bad that she does survive the initial burning, but the infection that comes from the burns is too much for her to overcome and she dies.

I can see in both of these scenarios that Yinu is nowhere around Mama, and is told secondhand that her mother had just passed. Yinu is numb at first, not knowing what the fuck to do or how to feels. She just keeps doing what she was doing beforehand for a few minutes (probably playing the piano, but like in a much more slow and "just doing it to do something" manner instead of actually playing).

Yinu is just stunned, shocked, doesn't know what to do. She just shuts down and can't even leave where she is because Mama was her ride (would be worse if Mama was on her way to pick Yinu up, otherwise Mama would have been making food for Yinu to come home to). She probably just stays in her practice hall for the night not even bothering to sleep (she doesn't practice at home).

I can see Tatiana trying to reach out to find Yinu, but no one knows where she is. She isn't at home and is no longer in her practice hall by that point. Yinu would most likely wander the streets of Vinyl city for a while before heading to Barraca Mansion since Green is really the only other person she really cares about at that moment.

Neon would obviously invite her in and try to take care of her, allowing her to sit with Green in the mansion's courtyard as he takes over trying to contact Tatiana and the hospital on Yinu's behalf. He would help contact Esther and make sure Yinu is okay (as okay as she could be in that moment). The other NSRtists are probably staying away from the whole mess, but are also trying to send their condolences to Yinu (which she absolutely hates, especially from the Sayu Crew and Eve).

I can see Esther and Neon working together to make funeral arrangements for Mama while also trying to take care of Yinu, who just hasn't done or said anything for the past few days (literally her and Green would just silently sit in the courtyard for hours, just staring at the grass and weeds growing). She's barely eaten and is truly just numb to everything. This whole time she is just silent and hasn't even cried, only thinking about what the last thing she said to her mother was and if she could have been better.

The funeral happens and that is when Yinu breaks down. She decides to go back to Mexico with her grandmother and leaves behind NSR. Tatiana doesn't give her the benefit of getting paid a certain amount of time after quitting NSR like OG Tatiana would, and is probably never going to be signed onto NSR again even if Yinu did want to come back in a few years.

A new charter is selected for Yinu's position and things just go on. No one really contacts Yinu again except for Neon and Green (which Blue and Red sometimes sending a message or saying hi over the phone/video call). Otherwise Yinu just goes on to live with her grandmother until she is old enough to go out into the world and NSR just continues as if nothing really happens.

Going back to if Mama got a disease that killed her.

Like I said, it would also affect Yinu. The two would be sick and just kept getting worse and worse, not being able to overcome it. If it's a plant disease then they wouldn't even be able to call Esther to come visit them because of the risk of her getting it. If it's a snake disease though, Esther would be there at the hospital with those two trying to help them get through it.

Ultimately it fails. Yinu would die first, being the one with the compromised immune system, stress, and lack of sleep. Her will to go on was already really low so this just let her die quicker. Mama, after hearing her daughter is dead, would also just give up (especially if it was the plant disease without her mother around to help her). If it's the snake disease, Mama would hold out a bit longer, trying to stay alive for her mother, but would end up dead as well.

The reason I put this under Mama death and not Yinu death even though Yinu died first, is because Mama is the one who contracted the disease first and gave it to Yinu by accident.

Anyway, NSR would see this as a tragedy and honestly probably make a fund for this kind of disease because it was probably really rare (and can be used as a marketing campaign). Otherwise it would just be the same situation as like the car accident or something. Yinu is replaced, people are ignoring their feelings about the situation, and the world keeps on moving.
