Kageyama Relationship Head-canons!!

a/n: hiiii! yes of course! i don't know if this was what you were looking for but i'm going to try my best! p.s this is my first-time writing head-canons!!! let me know if i did anything wrong!! thank you for your lovely request i enjoyed writing kageyama relationship head-canon’s!

How You Met:

You see him a few times in the hallway, but never acknowledged each other until later.

One day during a math assignment you asked Kageyama because he seem to be struggling with the same question as you. You show him your answer and he show you his, both completely different answers. you and him in sync "How you come up with that answer??" You didn't realize that this was the start of a new bond.

2. How You Asked Him Out/How He Asked You Out:

Kageyama approached you first confessing his feelings for you outside of the gym before his volleyball practice "Y/n we known each other for some time." he was rushing his words out because he knew that you were in a hurry. "Would you make me the happiest king on earth and be my queen?"

You responded with, "Yes of course, I would love to be your queen!" Knowing that you are officially out of the friend zone. You had a crush on Kageyama for a while now, but you were eventually going to confess however you were nervous of being abandoned.

3. Comforting Each Other:

Kageyama is awkward when comforting others, but when he’s with you he feels like he can tell you anything without hesitation. He is concerned about you as he sits down so you can relax your head on his lap as his fingers runs through your hair affectionately, he listens to you keenly.

When he's upset, you calm him, make his favorite food, and let him know that it's okay to vent. You encouraged him to communicate with you.

you open your eyes at a shout of your name.

“[Name]!!”

your boyfriend was sliding across the ice at an alarming rate. About two feet away from you he picked up one of his feet to take a step, and immediately trips onto you.

“NoyaaaaAAA!”

he fell right into you, taking the both of you down crashing onto the ice, you underneath him cushioning his fall. You let out a small groan, before pausing for a second to look down at him. Much to your surprise he looks up grinning at you.

He coughs out one line,“I guess you could say… I really fell for you.”, before laughing hysterically and rolling off of you.

you take a moment to process what he just said before breaking into a laughing fit yourself. “Pffft- what the hell, out of all things, this!”

the two of you make your way over to the side of the skating rink, and use the wall to help yourselves up. As he gets up, he moves right up to you with his face in your face.

“is this not romantic enough for you?”

You blink once before you stammer out;“I can’t tell if you’re serious or not.”

not losing a beat he replies; “Thats the best kind of flirting though” with a small smirk on his face.

deciding that two can play this game, you lean in closer, look him dead in the eyes and say; “Oh yeah lover boy?”

his eyes widen so quickly, and he blushes, his mouth icing like a fish out of water. When he eventually forces the words out of his mouth they come out something akin to, “I- uh what, I have to go”

he skates off, or at least tries to (he slips multiple times) and you let out a small huff of amusement, knowing that the two of you took the same car.

An Idea!! ..An Imagine ..?

I was in a road trip with my family and I cant help but think about this!!

Timeskip!Noya and You,

maybe you both are previously friends in Highschool (could be Childhood friends or not, doesn't matter)

OR

you both meet while Noya was travelling around the world, and Noya somewhat motivate you to go out of your zone and travel or maybe you are also a traveller like him, again doesnt matter but at the end you both started travelling together.

And you both have been enjoying travelling together for quite sometime now!

So maybe you both started this Road trip journey a bit late. Maybe you both were suppose to go a bit earlier at the day but of course... It didn't go as planned. But you both were enjoying time anyways!

Eventually its night time and you both are still on the road but decide to take a rest at a near by cliff? (Idk how to describe this?) And just enjoying the scenery, the stars, the atmosphere. Maybe you both are side by side, both sitting on the car trunk , drinking each your favorite drink, eating your favorite snacks, joking around and reminiscing about your friendship and how it led to that moment. And maybe you were a bit sleepy, accidentally leaning on his shoulder and snoozed off in the middle of the conversation. Maybe he went stiff when he felt you on him, and maybe his shocked expression change into an adoring one. It definitely wasnt the first time he felt this when he looks at you, but maybe tonight he finally felt sure with himself, part of him wonders if you feel the same. ... But it doesnt matter right now, what matters is that you both are here side by side enjoying life together.. (Little did he know that maybe juuuust maybe you also have been holding onto those feelings for him, and maybe one day it will be expressed)

daichi.

the truth is, he never thought this moment would come. even after all the pining and wishing and staring at you from behind textbook covers, over group projects, after standing outside the school gates waiting for you to walk by only to chicken out last second and duck behind the pillar when you actually do show up. after days and days of agonizing over how to ask you out, if suga is sure that you like him back (”yes, daichi, i’ve asked her.” “okay, but did she say ‘yes’ hypothetically or —” “daichi i swear to god if you don’t ask her i will do it for you!” “ah! suga! don’t you dare!) — after all of that, he never thought he’d ever get here. sitting across the cafe table from you, watching as you laugh over some stupid meme, turning your phone around to show him, your cheeks flushed with color, the light of the setting sun outside draping itself across your shoulders like something of a daydream. you tell him that he’s staring, but he only shakes is head, leans forward, props his cheek on the heel of his hand and says, “yeah… i know.”

suga.

the truth is he cheated — no, no! not that kind of cheat, he would never, he could never — but he maybe might’ve kinda sorta asked noya to befriend you, because he makes friends with everyone so easily, and it’s not like suga doesn’t, but for some reason with you, it was different. it felt different, like it was more real — not that any of this other friendships aren’t real, because they are, god they so are. but… then again, he didn’t want just a normal friendship with you, did he? so.. he cheated. he got noya to ask you all your favorite things, your favorite flowers (lilacs), your favorite drink (iced lattes), your favorite food (red bean mochi), your favorite season (winter), and so on. till he’s sure he’s got the perfect confession planned. but when he actually gets to it, he forgets the speech he wrote, forgets to cue asahi for the bouquet of lilacs, leaves the latte out too long and forgets that in the miyagi winter, iced lattes will become just ice if it’s left out too long, realizes that the mochi were all smushed in hinata’s frenzy to rush them to you, and nothing goes right. but you still say yes, and the truth is, he realizes that none of it mattered anyway.

asahi.

the truth is, he’s scared, terrified, really, of how it’s all could go, and no matter how many times suga and tanaka and even shimizu tells him that this is normal, that the anxiety goes hand in hand with the anticipation, the euphoria just on the other side of fear, he still shakes when he goes to grab your hand. he can’t stop the traitorous pounding of his heart because he knows that this, whatever this is, is a delicate thing. made of porcelain and glass and he knows just how breakable those things are, because he’s made of them too. but you laugh and squeeze his hand tighter, reach up to pull him close, to whisper in his ear that breakable and precious aren’t mutually exclusive words, that sometimes, the most beautiful things are made so by their vulnerability. and somewhere between one moment and the next, between this step and that one, he finds that he’s not afraid anymore.

tanaka.

the truth is, he over-did it. because he did it like he does most things — with too much gusto and not enough thought, and now that he finds himself committed to hanging out with you and your friends on a “girl’s day”, because that’s what great boyfriends too, he thinks he’s truly bitten off more than he could chew. i mean, how’s a boy man to live when you keep asking for his opinions on dresses when the only thing he can see is the pink of the blush dusted across your cheeks, and how can he advise you on what gelato flavors to try when all he can think of is the way you lick your lips, and really, how’s he supposed to be a good, loving, caring boyfriend when all he wants to do is push you back into the dressing room and kiss you till neither of you can breathe properly. he does it anyway, and judging by the way you grin against his lips, your fingers digging into the front of his freshly laundered slogan-tee, that you don’t think he over-did it at all.

the truth is, he’s loved you from the moment he laid eyes on you, exactly three months ago, and sure, asahi had told him that ‘love at first sight’ doesn’t really exist (”it’s actually more of an infatuation… or at least that’s what i read in one of those self-help books…”), and sure, he’d said just about the same thing about kiyoko the first time he saw her. but this time, noya had known, with all the certainty of the east-rising sun, that you were meant to be his, and he was meant to be your’s. and okay, maybe you had laughed a little (with him!!! not at him!!!) when he’d first declared his love for you in the middle of the cafeteria, loudly proclaiming that he’d spend the rest of his life making sure that you knew he loved you each and every day but… you said yes, didn’t you? you said yes, even though he really wasn’t sure what you’d say but he hoped. and you said yes. so, i mean, it was the same thing as knowing, right? and every single day since then, he’s known, from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep that this love can only grow stronger, and that he really would spend of the of his life making sure you knew he’s yours.

tsukishima.

the truth is, he’s been planning this for ages. ages and ages and ages, not that he’d ever tell you if you asked, but he has. and poor yamaguchi’s had to be there to remind him that sometimes, the best thing to do is just to ask the girl out on a date already! but tsukki knows better — he knows that girls are mysterious, multi-faceted, nebulous creatures. impossible to reason with and even more impossible to pin down. logic does not work here, so he had to plan it down to the last nonchalantly styled tuft of hair on his slightly damp forehead (he’d done some practice serves with yamaguchi because it has to look organic, okay? and looking too put together is a gigantic tell he simply could’ve afford). when he finally, finally asks you, you laugh, quirking your head to one side as you bite your lips, mull over your answer, and he swears you’re doing this on purpose (you are), just to watch him squirm. “you planned this, didn’t you?” “h-huh? no… why would you say that? i just thought i’d ask since we stayed late practicing and you happened to walk by.” a pause, a smirk, a well-timed blush. “yeah. right. okay.” tsukishima blinks, “so… is that a yes?” “i dunno, tsukki… i gotta think about it! i mean, you totally caught me by surprise, not like i was planning to be here, right?” “…yamaguchi told you, didn’t he?” “he might’ve let a few things slip.” “i’m gonna kill him.” “don’t you wanna know my answer first? or should i just wait to tell you on our first date?” “just tell me on our — oh. wait —”

kageyama.

the truth is, he doesn’t know what he’s doing. and sure, he’d rather quite literally lay down on the ground and perish than to admit that this whole physical intimacy thing is completely uncharted territory. but… well, somehow, he doesn’t think he can quite fake it through this one. “tobio…? are you… okay?” you look him over, sitting on his bed, his oversized shirt slipping from your shoulder and he swears that death seems more like a possibility with each passing second. “uhm, yeah. i’m — i’m good. you?” he curses himself for sounding so childish, but you grin and pull him to you, pressing him back onto the mattress, slowly drawing him close, and then closer. “is this okay?” you ask, your lips brushing by his ear. he shivers, curses, bites down a moan, “y-yeah. that’s — i mean, it’s good — really good.” “good.” he thinks he can hear you smiling. “stop worrying so much,” you tease, threading your fingers through his hair, pulling ever so slightly, just till he’s arching up against your touch, hissing out between his teeth, “just follow my lead and… i have a feeling you’ll catch on pretty quick, hm?”

hinata.

the truth is, he isn’t quite sure how he got here, with your hand in his, laughing about something that the teacher said that day, turning to ask him if he wants to stop for popsicles on the way home, because it’s too hot, isn’t it shouyou? because it had just started out as a crush, and okay, sure, he’s not known for subtlety but he thought he was doing an okay job of it! he’d only run screaming to suga-sempai twice this week (last week it was three, so there’s been improvement!!!) and he’d only panic called yacchi four times (she picked up every time, but by the fourth time, even hinata could tell that her infinite patience was wearing thin), and yeah, when you’d found him after school the other day to ask if he wanted to catch a movie, he’d said yes before you’d even said the movie name but he’s just!!! that!!! enthusiastic!!! all the time!!! so it’s not weird, right? but when you got one bag of popcorn instead of two, and turned to ask if he minded sharing straws, he starts to wonder if this is all some sort of cruel and beautiful daydream. “uhm — uh — yeah — straws — that’s good — i like those.” “shou?” he jerks, realizing that you’re still watching him with an amused smile, the pair of you poised outside the corner store, the sunset blazing across the far horizon. “gah! s-sorry, i zoned out for a second there — i was just — uhm…” “reminiscing on our first date?” he jumps at the word date, but a second later, you’re giggling, dragging him into the store for popsicles, and he lets out a punch-drunk puff of laughter, following behind you, mumbling the word date under his breath till it doesn’t sound like a real word anymore.

how to crash a date

summary: friends are the best thing in our lifes, with a big talent for crashing dates.

with: Tsukishima Kei, Akaashi Keiji, Iwaizumi Hajime and Kenma Kozume (and their respective "besties").

⊛ tsukishima kei: be oblivious!

Kei has been planning this date for a week already. Take you to the carnival, walk with you hand in hand, buy you some sweets, win you a teddy bear and maybe get some kisses on the way, the perfect plan. Even if he doesn't enjoy going outdoor, he's feeling excited for tonight, knowing he’ll have plenty of time to spend with you alone.

At first, things were going so well that he actually pondered going more to those carnivals.Though his main motivation wasn’t the colorful scenario, or the funny attractions over the booths; his eyes could only focus on your bright smile, luminescing the place better than those lanterns hanging above your heads.

Everything was great. Until two morons noticed your existence.

“TSUKI!” His body automatically stiffens after recognizing the voice of his two teammates, Tanaka and Nishinoya. Grimacing, he slowly turns sideways, hoping that he’s just hallucinating and the two annoying boys waving at him aren't actually real. Of all places in Japan, they had to be at the same place as him? Really?

It didn’t take long for them to approach and introduce themselves to you. “It’s nice to meet you,  ______. Tsukishima didn’t tell us he had a girlfriend. Not that we thought he could date someone.” Tanaka humored, making Noya chuckle along and Tsukishima’s face reddened with pure loathe. Before he could protest, Noya excitedly pulled you towards a game booth, breaking Kei’s hold on your hand, which made him even more annoyed. First they interrupt his date, and now they steal his girl? Tanaka rested his hand on the blonde’s tense shoulder.  “Thanks for the invite, man. We’ll have a great time together!”.

It was the worst two hours of his life.

He had to watch and control his boiling temper as his teammates spent the entire time playing and chatting with you. At least, you seemed to be having some fun with them by your expression and non-stop smile, and that only made Tsukki even more grumpy. It was his time to make you smile, not theirs.

By the time they left, it was too late for him to have a quality time with you there, so he ended up taking you home. He was already planning to punch the boys the next morning for ruining his date, but to his surprise, the night wasn’t a complete failure.

“Thank you for tonight Kei. I know it wasn’t what we planned, but I had a lot of fun.” You said genuinely, embracing him and giving his cheek a gentle peck. And for the rest of the night, Tsukishima smiled like a fool in love.

⊛ akaashi keiji: be clingy!

Akaashi and Bokuto are lifelong friends. They go to school together, have the same classes, eat at the same time, play on the same team and even return home on the same path. Literally five of the seven days of the week, Akaashi has Bokuto’s company. But as every human being, he needs an amount of time for himself and others. Especially time for you, his girlfriend of almost a month. On your days, he plans to spend time with you only, dismissing his other obligations; however, it is easier said than done when it comes to dismissing Bokuto.

Bokuto doesn’t quite understand that his friend needs space sometimes, so he gets sad when he receives a ‘no’ as an answer to his invites. Don’t get him wrong, he doesn’t mind if you’re going to be with them, he adores you. He just doesn't get why he can’t tag along with you guys.

He doesn't like to feel left out, so he decides to follow the two of you on a coffee shop date one day, to express his feelings. Yes, he was not invited, but what’s the harm, right? He’ll just sit at a table closer to yours, and wait for the right moment to make himself noticed.

Meanwhile, you and your boyfriend are chatting about your weeks, his right hand intertwined with yours on the table. Keiji’s so focused on you, that you’re the one who noticed the white-haired boy trying to hide his face behind the menu two tables from yours. 

“Kei, isn’t that guy Bokuto?” He goes mute as soon as you pronounce his best friend’s name, turning his head dreadfully in the direction your eyes indicated. Finding the noisy owl, he sighs in frustration, raising from his seat and walking toward his friend. “Bokuto-kun, what are you doing here?” He hisses to not make a scene, but his friend, emotional as he is, reacts oppositely and raises from his chair with his arms crossed and pouting like a three-year-old toddler. 

“I wanted to spend time with my friends…” He confesses gloomy, making even you feel a bit conscious at the same time amused by the scene, as Akaashi rolls his eyes. Before the brunette could reject his friend again, you decide to invite the ace to join you, receiving a confused look from Keiji in return. You simply couldn’t resist his sad puppy face. Without thinking twice, Bokuto lifts up a chair and puts it between your seats before sitting down with a huge smile on his face — much to Akaashi’s dismay.

It’ll take a while before Akaashi finally gets some time alone with you.

⊛ iwaizumi hajime: be overbearing!

Even though he’s quite popular at school for being an athlete, Hajime isn’t a flirtish guy like the rest of his friends. That doesn’t mean he can’t win a girl, it’s simply the fact that there weren’t many girls he found interesting. And after finding you, he doesn’t see himself with anyone else. But regardless of that, his friends always thought he had difficulties with romance, especially Oikawa: which explains why the brunette got so concerned when Hajime told him he asked you out on a date.

Toru didn’t want things to go wrong on this date, especially since his friend is clearly smitten by you, something that doesn’t happen often with Hajime. So he offered (imposed) his help, giving tips and tricks to turn his friend into the king of romance. The problem is that Oikawa’s a very intense teacher, wanting to give lectures every day and every time, making the brunette go crazy for good. It didn’t take three days before Iwaizumi refused further assistance, assuring his friend that he’s capable of handling a date. 

Did Oikawa listen though?

The night was going so well. Hajime took you to a friendly pub, which helped to dissolve the awkwardness of the first minutes, and made you both feel more intimate as you spoke about multiple topics. You two got along so well through the afternoon, that you already looked like a long-term couple, laughing and enjoying themselves. While Hajime told you one funny story of his childhood, he noticed something unusual through the pub’s round window, in front of him.

It’s Oikawa, waving at him while holding a sign written in bold blue letters: “Say she looks beautiful, and don’t forget to clean your teeth!”

“Can you excuse me for a second, sweetheart?” He was so nervous that didn't notice the pet name coming through his mouth, nor the way you got bashful when he said that. He just wanted to finish Oikawa’s life right there, and as soon as you nod at him, he quickly walks out for that. 

“Yo-hoo!” His captain waves as he exits the pub, smiling like a proud dad. “Iwa-chan, thought you needed a-” He doesn’t finish the last sentence since Iwaizumi hits his arm hard with the cardboard sign, making Oikawa yelp. “WHAT? WHAT DID I DO?”

⊛ kenma kozume: be noisy!

Almost all of nekoma’s volleyball team sees Kenma as someone who needs to be taken care of, even if he’s perfectly capable of doing that. When they find out that their setter started dating from other sources, everyone gets curious to know how things are going with the new couple, even if it had nothing to do with their lives, as Kenma “gently” reminded them once. Some even followed you around school sometimes, just to get to know the girl who stole the mechanic heart of their friend.

They immediately took the hint when Kenma announced one day that he needed to leave practice early for something important: it must be something involving you. Ten minutes after he left,  Kuroo, Yaku, Yamamoto, and Fukunaga initiated a secret mission to follow their teammate to his destination. Throughout the journey, Yaku kept whispering how bad spying on Kenma was, but still continued to follow the path, just as curious as the others. Kuroo didn’t waste the chance to snicker at him. 

The path leads them to a public park not too far from school, and they get just in time to witness the most surprising scene only a few bunches away: Kenma and you sitting on a red towel on the grass, having a cute picnic together. Kenma was chuckling so carefree, while you were throwing small cubs of apple into his mouth,  and no sign of his console beside him. 

The boys quickly hid behind a large bush near the spot, spying on the couple’s moment with a content smile on their faces. “Own, look how happy our Kenma is. He’s so hooked.” Kuroo says, a prideful grin taking on his expression. It’s good to see his best friend having that type of experience. 

“What are you guys doing there?” Out of nowhere, Levi appears near them, his loud voice attracting the couple’s attention and revealing their hiding spot to everyone around. The boys grimace as soon as they’re discovered, all of them feeling Kenma’s fulminant gaze. “Oops… my bad.”

Hinata:

It was on a winter's day when he had an important game when he felt it for the first time

He had just arrived at school on his bike when he saw you

You stood there, snuggled up in your jacket in the icy cold outside the school gates

How you waited for him even though it was freezing cold just to be able to wish him good luck for the upcoming game before school

For him, no one else is as perfect as you

Kageyama:

He realised after thinking about it for a while, in his room

It was already late at night but the thoughts of you just wouldn't let him sleep

He thought about every moment he had with you over and over again

Your laught, your pretty face everything about you was charming and your character, it was made of gold, you never called him king and never judged him

He had never felt this way about anyone before, but then you came into his life

Daichi:

He realised it when he saw how you treated his team-mates

You are simply the nicest and most self-sacrificing person he has ever met

All together you laughed and joked around as if all was right with the world

He just really recognises how you try to get on well with everyone he cares about

He just loves you too much for that

Sugawara:

He realised it when he woke up on a sunny spring morning

You lay curled up in the blanket in his arms

You just looked too perfect at that moment

He just hopes that he has the opportunity to wake up like this every morning

from that moment on, he realised that you were the most important thing for him

Asahi:

He saw you for the first time in a coffee shop where he is a regular customer and he was in love with you at first glance

All of a sudden you were there and have been there every day since

He also comes more often than usual, in the hope that he might find you there

Every time he sees you there he orders the same thing and waits until he has enough courage to talk to you

After at least two weeks he dared to speak to you and it was wonderful, a feeling he would like to have all the time

Tanaka:

He recognised it as soon as you walked through the classroom door for the first time

The way your hair was bobbing slightly and the way your beautiful eyes were looking around curiously just made him feel so good

Without knowing it, he's been nudging you the whole time

In his mind, he imagined you not walking towards your seat but walking down the aisle in a breathtaking wedding dress

From then on, he also stopped looking at other girls, you are everything to him

Noya:

Similar to Tanaka, he falls in love very quickly

He felt it straight away when he saw you in the stands at one of his matches

He had just held a ball when his eyes met yours directly

Everything around you stopped for a moment

From that moment on, he couldn't stop thinking about your pretty face, so much so that he was so distressed not to know who you were after the game, he approached you

Tsukishima:

He realised when you suddenly sat down next to him during the lunch break

Yamaguchi hadn't been there that day and so he was sitting there all alone

And you apparently felt sorry for him, so you just sat down next to him and started eating your lunch

You even offered him some of your food

I think he simply fell in love with your kind, cheerful and thoughtful manner

Yamaguchi:

He noticed when you smiled at him for the first time and he fell in love with you at the same second

It was a normal school day and he was just sitting in maths class, which he has together with you

You had to do group work and you turned round so that you could work together

You gave him a friendly smile and from then on it was over with him, he turned into a red mess

He wants to make you smile as often as possible, he just loves you and wants to see you happy as often as possible

it was raining a bunch right … and there was this lil nature reserve near my house . w a path you could walk up on a hill but also down by a river….. and it was raining sm that the whole thing was just FLOODED. you couldn’t see any of the rocks in the river…. or the grass you could walk on beside it…… so little ari decided to go down there anyway. for the sake of adventure. and i made it to the end of the path to a fence that you could jump over to get to The Normal Road Home .

BUT …. gasp ………. little ari came face to face w a bunch of cows . up on the hill. right by the fence. they were eating the grass and i was scared bc they were fucking HUGE mickey :((( i was shaking n shivering and trying to blend in w my surroundings……… carefully making my way towards the fence that they were kinda blocking.

BUT THEN …. another gasp….. suddenly i was face to face w this One cow/bull and it just stared at me. for a couple seconds. and then it ran right towards me and my childhood instincts kicked in …. so i like. ran down the hill and then back up so i could jump over the fence . and then i was ok :) but ever since that fateful day i’ve been scared of cows….. i can only admire them from afar 😔😔😔😔
