"Suibian?" Xichen asked. "Really, Wangji? What kind of name is that?"

Lan Wangji suppressed the urge to shrug. Instead of looking at his brother he looked down at the small black rabbit sleeping in a nest of hay inside a transport box. He hadn't had the heart yet to wake it up by taking it out, despite there being a whole, fully bunny-friendly furnished room waiting for his new roommate.

"It's the name Wei Ying wanted to give his bunny," he eventually said. Even saying his name was hard and he had to swallow a couple of times. He managed to keep himself from tearing up but his voice broke slightly at the words. "Mine was supposed to be called Bichen." He didn't add that his was supposed to be white.

"Oh, Wangji," Xichen sighed.
