Some Alpha-Pups Dog World Tidbits

Some fun little tidbits of "canine culture" in the Alpha-Pups (the ABC pups) world

- dogs do have bathrooms like humans, but they all look like backyards with plants, with how lavish it looks depending on the place. Places like hotels have very lavish yards with multiple trees and shrubs, while something like a simple half-thorned bush with dried grass is their equivalent of a gas station bathroom. They're also split up sex-wise like human ones, with male ones being the only ones with fire hydrants (like the dog version of urinals)

- In older days it was common for dogs to ha e usual litters, but now through some evolution mumbo-jumbo, dogs usually have one pup or two. Litters of 6 and more can still happen, but it's usually rarer for a dog to have more than 3. Technically, the Stan Clan would've been considered a normal sized family, but that's also because half of them would've died before reaching puberty

- Squeaky toys at the equivalent of baby toys, especially when babies are teething.* Stuffed animals exist, but most dogs don't chew on them unless if they're under serious stress. Usually, it's limited to just one specific toy they chew on, like a security blanket.

- Fetch is seen as an ultimate sport, as well as their version of football, as well as ultimate frisbee.* Pilot and Marbles will later excel at said sports as teenagers becoming the family's pair of jocks

- Dogs do have their own alcohol, but it's all sold in shoes, so dogs can drink it and then usually chew on the shoe after it's empty. Louie himself likes a nice brandy liquor in a size 9 1/2 loafer.

- Louie and Florence's spa days also include massages that have ear scritches, belly rubs, and soothing music with soft whispers of "good boy" and "who's a good boy".

- Also I assume most dogs wear at least one accessory to give off that they have a home, homelessness "stray" dogs are the only ones that go completely naked. Dogs can go naked, but most wear at least something like a tie, hat, or necklace for the pups' case. Fancier or professional business dogs tend to wear shirts (Louie does for a lot of meetings, one of his being Indigo's smock), but pups can also wear t-shirts. Pants for dogs do exist but are much more rare and pants on a dog usually means either A) it's a very formal serious occasion, like a wedding or a funeral or B) it's a female who's in the middle of heat

- Heats kinda work like a human period, except instead of one week a month, they happen for 3 weeks every 6 months. It is pretty similar aside from that, and like humans it can affect their moods too. Felix is more irritable, Zero tends to cry a lot, Leigh-Ann tends to want to eat a lot of bacon, and Kai more or less stays the same, just with pants on. The only big difference is that the most likely time a female can have babies and for some adults, really want babies.

Those are the scariest 3 weeks of Louie's life
