#now why you would cut gerri giving roman a tissue is another question

watching succession 4.09 “church and state” twice in one night has rendered me so mad with feelios that i am here to bust a common myth: that roman and gerri had no interaction whatsoever in this episode.

also i have visual aids.

when roman sits down, while shiv tells hugo to go get him a water, gerri gets her bag out and is digging through it:

then later, listening to ken’s eulogy, roman has a tissue!

then later, after shiv’s eulogy, gerri is dabbing her eyes with a tissue!

we can therefore infer, from the evidence at hand, that gerri gave roman a tissue.

(i know lots of people bring tissues to funerals, but then why the bag searching as roman was sitting down, huh? WHY??? exactly. there is no other answer.)
