is it possible for you to make any sort of shinsou related fics? I think it would be really cute to see him take the reader on a date or maybe a valentines special eventually?
Valentineâs Day with Hitoshi.
1,700 words~
"Isn't it so cute!" Mina exclaimed hugging a teddy bear to her chest. You both were walking back to the dorms after the conclusion of classes.
"Yeah, it's a pretty fluffy guy," you said smiling back at her. Mina was overjoyed to show off the teddy bear Eijiro had gifted her earlier in the day as a Valentine's gift.
"Do you have any plans for today?" she asked, releasing the teddy bear from his suffocating hug.
"Yeah, I do...," You answered already prepared for the several questions that were bound to come next.
"WHAT!?! WITH WHO?! DOING WHAT!?! WHEN?! TELL ME EVERYTHING!" Mina demanded.
You laughed at her predictable behavior, "I'm supposed to meet Shinso in about an hour," You answered.
"HU?! Shinso?! Wait- the purple-haired boy from general studies?! NO WAY! He asked you out?! You can't just leave me hanging without any details! When did you two even talk?!" Mian asked surprised.
The truth was you were surprised too. Hitoshi was in the general studies course, so you hadn't really crossed paths with him during your time at U.A., despite that you found a letter stuffed into your locker a few days before Valentine's Day.
You unraveled the letter from your pocket and handed it to Mina who took the liberty of reading it out loud.
I apologize for doing this informally. However, I am unsure if we will cross paths in time for me to ask you directly. I've been interested in getting to know you better for some time now and was hoping you'd be interested in meeting me after class this Wednesday. If you are, meet me at the stairs of the main entrance of the school at 7 pm. -Shinso
Mina cried out loud after finishing the letter, "This is so romantic! The dork could have left his phone number though."
"Yeah, I thought that too- it would have been nice to confirm with him but- that's all right. I'll get ready and, meet him over there," You answered.
"You have to text me right away after! He seems so mysterious- such an interesting quirk. I wonder what he's like. OMG! What if he brainwashes you, good thing you told me! If I don't hear from you by 9 pm I'm calling Aizawa.," Mina spoke, causing you to laugh.
"You're always so dramatic," You laughed as you both entered the dorms.
"You can never be too careful!" She spoke before giving you a wink. "Good luck! I'm off to meet up with Kirishima!"
You gave her a wave and made your way to your room.
Once you finished getting ready you made your way back to the school. You were shocked to see Hitoshi was actually waiting on the school steps, hands in his sweater pockets and backpack at his feet. His eyes lit up as soon as he spotted you.
"Hey," You greeted him nervously unsure of what to expect. You had never talked to him one-on-one before.
"Hi!" He greeted you back, unable to keep the smile that erupted on his face. It excited him to see you had come- and that you weren't afraid to talk to him in spite of his quirk. "I uh- apologize for asking you out in such an informal way- I would have liked to ask you in person but, I hadn't run into you at all the last few days," He explained.
Truth be told you don't ever remember running into him. Were you crossing paths with him before without noticing? He certainly seemed to be noticing you.
"Informal? What do you mean? A letter is as formal as it gets," You laughed, hoping to lighten the awkwardness and break the ice. "I didn't mind it at all, in fact, it was pretty thoughtful."
"I'm glad you think so, and I'm glad you came... you didn't have any other plans?" he asked, hoping he wasn't prying too much too soon.
"Mm no-," you said glancing to the side, slightly embarrassed that no one else had taken any interest in making plans with you this Valentine's Day.
Hitoshi tried to hide the smile that threatened to break through on his lips at hearing you weren't seeing anybody. "Well, I uh- got you something," he said leaning down to pick up his backpack and search inside. He pulled out a purple plushie cat with a pink bow tied around its neck. "Hope it's not too dumb," he said holding it out to you.
A squeak escaped you at seeing the adorable stuffed cat, "This is so cute!" you exclaimed, grabbing it eagerly and squeezing it.
"I'm glad you think so," He spoke, blush tinting his face at your excitement.
"I got you something too," you said reaching into your bag.
"Hu? You didn't have to-," he replied, a stunned look on his face.
"Of course I did, it's Valentine's Day and you were sweet enough to want to spend time with me so- here," you said handing him the chocolate bar you had picked out at the store.
"That's really nice of you," he spoke a full blush on his face now as he grabbed the bar from your hand. Hitoshi cleared his throat trying to get his composure back, "I uh- wasn't sure what you'd be interested in, so I had a few ideas but- are you ok with walking to the cafe to get something to drink?" He asked.
"That sounds fine to me," You smiled hugging the stuffed cat in your arms and you both started the walk to the cafe.
"I've uh- been admiring you for some time now," Hitoshi disclosed, as you both walked down the street.
Your face flushed, you'd never met a boy to be so honest and straightforward before. "Really?" You manage to squeak out.
"Mhm-" He nodded. "You work so hard in your courses- I know you'll be an admirable hero one day."
"Oh, thank you- I'm not really sure how to take that compliment," You laughed nervously. "You're in the general studies course, right? What is that like?"
"It's fine I suppose- but I'm working hard training with Aizawa to transfer into the hero course," He answered.
"You're training with Aizawa!?" You asked shocked.
"Yeah- he's your teacher, right?" he asked, as you both approached the cafe, and he held the door open for you.
"Yup!" You nodded happily, entering the cafe. "If he is training you, I have no doubts you'll be transferring to the hero course in no time!"
Hitoshi smiled and glanced at the floor flustered by your praise. "Thank you for that- it's nice to have the approval of someone like you," He spoke causing you to fluster slightly.
Hitoshi ordered your drinks and you both started the walk back to the dorms.
"What do you mean someone like me?" You asked curiously, still taken aback by his comment.
"Hm? Well- I suppose I put a great deal of importance on the hero course so... hearing that a strong hero student like you thinks I have what it takes to make it... It's nice. I'm not used to that. Most people are scared to talk to me because of my quirk or say it's a perfect quirk for a villain," He explained.
"Oh- well don't pay too much attention to those people. Your quirk is amazing and could definitely make for a powerful pro hero. So- just stay focused on your training and maybe I'll see you in my class before I know it," you said encouragingly.
Hitoshi smiled, "I would like that... to be in the hero course but also, to see you more often."
"Oh-," You exclaimed feeling your face get hot again. "I've never met someone so blunt as you- it's refreshing," You spoke hoping your cheeks weren't too obvious.
You both approached the dorms and came to a slower pace. "I don't have any problems expressing my true feelings- if I wasn't training so much with Aizawa I would have liked to ask you out sooner. These are your dorms correct?" He asked.
"Yeah..." You said a little downcast that you were back and already going to part ways.
"If it's ok with you- I would like to take you to eat after classes on Friday," he said. Hitoshi felt his stomach flutter at the way your eyes lit up at his invention. He had admired you from afar for so long that it was overwhelming to see how much you appreciated his attention.
"Yeah! That sounds good," you said excitedly, the stuffed cat bouncing in your arms due to your excited rocking on your heels. "Oh! Why don't you let me give you my number-" You offered holding your hand out.
Hitoshi fished for his phone in his pocket and handed it over. He couldn't help but grin at the careful way you kept the stuffed cat in your arms as you typed out your number.
"Here you go!" You said handing it back to him. "I uh- thank you this was really nice."
Hitoshi nodded in agreement.
"I guess I'll see you Friday then," You spoke feeling hesitant to walk away. You wanted to spend more time with him and get to know him more. You stared at the floor waiting for him to give his farewell and walk away.
"Mhm- I'll see you then. You can let me know wherever you want to go...," he said, and you both silently waited for the other to make the first move to leave.
Hitoshi let out a small chuckle, "I guess neither of us want to go do we?" He observed.
You blushed slightly and looked at the stuffed cat giving it another squeeze, "This was nice- I uh feel calm being around you." You spoke, giving a Hitoshi another flutter in his stomach. He was used to hearing he put everyone on edge because of his quirk. It was intoxicating to hear you felt the opposite.
"Friday will come soon," He spoke and stepped closer to you closing some of the distance. You stared at him with doe eyes, as he moved closer placing a kiss on your cheek. "See you then," he smiled and left making his way back to the general studies dorms.

OK I LIED (or rather I couldn't stand the spoilers so I went to look up the last chapter early)
and I'm CRYING AND SOBBING and I've got a soaked kleenex next to me and asdfghj
Spoilers for the last chapter:
8 years later and Horikoshi ended the manga, exactly at the time frame that it took to make it (roughly 10 years for each). I'm absolutely sobbing. Am I still pessimistic? yea of course, but I'm so so happy with the ending. The looking back, the looking forward, seeing all of the characters aged as much as we have. It was a really good end to manga. Any specific grievances aside, it was a good last chapter. Uraraka's mention got me - I couldn't continue reading through the tears ahaha. i don't know how I feel about suddenly getting support items to jump back in - I rather liked that Izuku lived an average life, still a hero, just not a Hero (job). But being able to join the race with Bakugou again? To chase after his classmates? Sorry I'm sappy I'm also crying over that, it was really sweet. It doesn't help that the easiest way to get me to cry is with the passage of time. Also seeing Aizawa with short hair got me. I lost it at that, had to scroll back up to process and then scroll back down and then absolutely lose it sobbing. Actually just the thought of it has me crying again. I do have mixed feelings about Shoji's cameo. But overall good, I think? A little sad that the only villains we got to see the end of are La Brava and Gentle who only ever wanted to be a hero and couldn't be judged on the same level as the rest of the villains. I assume Touya died at most months after the battle - the doctor indicated that he wasn't able to live for long. And nothing about Spinner - who was perhaps the only villain to be comfortably assumed to be alive. Nothing about his story. And nothing about heroes reaching out to villains, to try to create a bridge or at least learn from them to help create a better world. But for a manga I started following for the heroes? A very very good ending. My tears have only just slowed down. (Still don't understand how Deku finished high school? Unless he switched into general studies? And Momo finally got a better hero costume) "This is the story of how we will continue to reach out" - sick as hell full page but.... how is doing a rescue mission any different than before? asdfghj anyway enough rambling! thank you horikoshi for all your work and taking us along on this journey, i hope you get to take a nice break.
(I need y'all to understand that I have two sides one is : wow what a nice story that I've followed through a lot of shit IRL and I'm happy with the overall conclusion as it follows the continued mood and and ambitions of the MC and two: I'm still letdown by the handling of aspects and the simplistic approach despite seeing that nuance can be handled in story. I know a lot of people want to be on only one side of this - and that's fine, but I've never been particularly good at that black and white approach to things)
Fully caught up on the manga (minus spoilers for the last chapter) and..... Ya know what maybe I am a villain stan because I just.... Don't trust that anything really changes in society. Everyone outside of heroes, when given speaking parts, seems to indicate that they'll step in or do something in order to protect themselves - not out of any sense of responsibility or community, but to safeguard their lives in case the other person ends up a villain. Or maybe I'm just pessimistic? But we've seen irl time and again that this ending attitude doesn't work. Doesn't have change. Certainly not long lasting change. I really really wanted to finish the series still liking Deku but throughout the fight, every cut back to someone other than Deku, talking about his heart and how good he was and how much he was doing to fight for the person - and the cut back is just "punch". He never responded to Shigaraki's words. He never engaged with the man himself. And at the end of the day, I feel more trust in Uraraka. More trust that she'll actually work on saving people's hearts. And she's back in construction work like her parents. And of course the camera dies and no one sees Toga's heart. Because how dare anyone think a villain could be a person (paraphrased that one interview guy).
I really really wanted to end this manga happy with it. I'm not stupid enough to conflate the reality of the story with fandom. I'm not. I really wanted to enjoy it for what it is. But when they directly ask "how do we fix villains being made" the answer is "you don't. We can't" and ???? That's supposed to be what the manga was working towards this whole time? I - .....
#mha spoilers#bnha spoilers#bnha manga spoilers#mha manga spoilers#the bee talks#mha#bnha#pretty happy that i ended up catching up right for the final chapter. if i had to wait like the rest of you i dont think i'd have made it#being able to read this one chapter after another in succession is so much better than an ending dragged out over a month or two#like... cathartic-ly so much better than having to stew in it all.#now to wait for the actual release and see if shinsou is in the last class page#yes i might have my issues but never forget that i'm reading the story because i like it.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Letâs spread the self-love â¤
Two ppl actually tagged me in this so thank you @malewifetouya and @happyely đ¤đ¤đ¤
Sadly some of my most favorite projects are ones that are still sitting in my drafts unfinished đ but out of all the ones I've posted these are the ones I'm most proud of <3
"Come Home" â Deku:
I don't even know if this would be considered a fic?? Cuz honestly this was such a short little thing that I wrote in under like 15 minutes đ probably the shortest amount of time it's taken me to ever write literally anything. But it was after I watched S6 E136 and literally that night I had a dream where this whole scene was played out in my head. And it just felt so dramatic in the right ways and just raw emotion that I had to write it down. And it's STILL my most liked post on this entire blogđ but honestly understandable bc sometimes I go back and read it and I'm just like "damn wait I wrote that????" lmfaoo
"Only for you, Toshi" â Shinsou:
Completely opposite from the last one, this is actually the longest thing I've ever written. (that's posted anyway, there's a few longer still in my drafts) I just feel like Shinsou doesn't get enough love but he definitely deserves itđâ¤ď¸ all my friends that read it said they really enjoyed it and I'm just really happy with how it came out after working on it for a couple weeks, and that not touching it for a few months and then coming back to it only to finish it in like 2 days lmao
"Attention" â Dabi:
Now this wouldn't be a post about my fics if I didn't include something for my absolute favorite character in the entire showđ¤ this fic was very self indulgent bc I'm such a bratđ¤ and I'm convinced that Dabi is the king of brat taming. Fun fact, the outfit I described is something I literally own in my closet đ
"Secrets" â BakuDeku x reader [UNFINISHED]:
This is a multi-part series I'm co-writing with my bsf @haru-x-ren on a joint account we made. (@bunny-x-haru if you'd like to follow) it's currently still a work in progress with only a few parts released, but it is a continuation of a 2 part fic I wrote when I first started called "You're the Only Thing That Makes Sense" â Bakugo So I do recommend reading this one first before Secrets for context and background info. I feel like you can really see my growth in writing from then to now, cuz that was like literally the second thing I ever posted lol. And Haru was literally my biggest fan bc he's the one that got me into writing fanfic<3 so after he read it, he had this absolutely BRILLIANT idea (spoiler) to take the scene I wrote where bakugo and deku were caught fighting after school hours (similar to that scene from season....2? When Bakugo learned about OFA) and turn it into a BakuDeku love triangle and I was honestly obsessed with the idea
And lastly
"For Your Eyes Only" â Dabi:
Another one for my fav<3 this one was for his birthday and is very nastyđ¤ also with a little bit of fluff at the end bc I am indeed a hopeless romantic with no romance𼲠also, the cover photo is most definitely the reaction I was imagining when he walks into the room lmao
Side Note:
I know it's been a while since I've posted any writing and I am so sorry đ I guess I've just been in a little bit of a funk when it comes to my creativity lately. I mean I've got plenty, and I do mean PLENTY of ideas written down, but Im having a hard time executing them and turning them into something I can post. But I promise I'll get back to posting as soon as I can and I'm really sorry to everyone who has been waiting for stuffđ I appreciate your patienceâ¤ď¸
Here's 5 other writers I recommend<3
@cathwritestragediesnotsins @aquadenks @kemakoshume @coffee-colored-hopeless-romantic + any other writers who'd like to make ur own posts<3

warnings: MINORS DO NOT INTERACT! 18+
Picture credit to: @Milmil21229 and @BrttPaige on Twitter
Pairing: KatsukiBakugouxreader
Summary: you and Bakugou are exâs (yay plot twist) bad break up involving another female. Both your bands show up to a battle of the bands, you both get to watch each other perform. In the end your band wins and his is runner up. both your bands go out to celebrate..
A/N: I actually ended this very abruptly after the smut part, Iâm sorry if this isnât as good as my other ones I just really fantasized over drummer Bakugo. I would definitely say this is Bakugo fluff. He is not even half as rude as usually portrayed. Side note: your band~ misery business;paramore His band~ can you feel my heart; BMTH
https://href.li/?https://www.instagram.com/reel/CQF9pZBJb8y/?utm_medium=copy_link
You push threw sweaty bodies making a path for your band to get backstage, and to your dressing room. You elbow and shove people creating a commotion as people start to recognize you and your group. You finally break through the crowd and you wait for your band members to emerge from the pit. Shinsou, Amajiki, and Jirou all stumble forward. Amajiki rams into you and you somewhat catch him before you both land in a pile on the ground. He looks down apologizing but you stand straight brushing off your skirt and fixing your thigh high boots. âYouâre fine, Iâm fine. Weâre good then.â You show him a gentle smile before your resting bitch face is plastered back on. You look around at the different bands making their way to their rooms, and grabbing various things getting set up for their performance. You find the closest person with âStagehandâ printed on their shirt. You sauntered over to him his arms crossed right below the words heâs directing people in different directions. You walk up and glance at his name tag âTokoyamiâ. âHey Tokyo, can you point us in the direction of The Shadows dressing room.â He looks at you seemingly annoyed at his nickname you gave him as he looks at your group before pointing you in the right direction. Your band makes it to the door of your dressing room, but right before you get the chance to enter you see a bright flash of red in the style of spikes. You only know one single person to have that hairstyle meaning there was someone youâve been avoiding not to far behind him. Shinso seems to notice and he looks at you, âjust ignore it, we came here to perform and win.â He puts his hand on the small of your back and you turn into the room.
Bakugou is following behind Kirishima as the are a few feet away from their dressing room. Multiple people had stopped them on their way recognizing the attractive band members, trying to get pictures and congratulating them on their recent release. Kirishima pushes the door open and they all start to flood in. Denki quickly grabs Bakugou pulling him back and pointing a couple doors down. âThatâs Jirou isnât it! From the Shadows?â Bakugouâs hands spark knowing that could only mean one thing. His ex was here to perform. He shoved denkiâs hand off his arm and stomped into the dressing room. âWhatâs your problem?â Denki looks confused. âShut up, Pikachu!â Bakugou screams at him. The door closing behind him.
You and your band are ready to perform, and your up next. Youâre waiting off stage watching the band come to a close, the crowd erupting into cheers. Jirou slings an arm around you grinning. âYou ready?â You turn to her, âMore than ever.â Shinsou smirks knowing now that you knew he was here you were going to give it your all even more so than before. Especially with your song choice. You were going to perform your cover of âMisery Businessâ by paramore. Which always killed the crowds. You abruptly turn around to face him and catch his smirk. You look into his deep purple eyes, âhow do I look?â Amajiki answers before he can in a quiet whisper, âamazing..â You look to him and hug him noticing how nervous he is, âThank you Jiki, letâs kill this.â You squeeze his shoulders and turn around. The band that was once on stage is now gone and the stagehands quickly adjust everything for your band to perform. You fix your skirt that is just long enough to cover your round ass, and your crop top that has several tears on the shoulders. Your curls are sticking to your forehead already from the heat. You swing your hair over your shoulder so it falls down your back. You shift side to side in your thigh high boots loving the way they made your legs look and how they hugged your thighs. You took a deep breath as you hear your introduction and the lights dim. You look up through your lashes with a grin on your face, and start to walk out onto stage with your band mates. You listen to the crowd chant your band name, and occasionally you hear different fans shouting out for their favorite band member. You all take your places on the stage that now had fog spreading over it swallowing your feet, and only dim purple lights shining enough to give the illusion of you and your band only being shadows. You hear Shinso start to tap his drumsticks and thatâs when the performance begins.
Bakugouâs band made its way to the side of the stage as they were told to get ready, they were on next. As he got nearer he could hear the current band playing. All his band mates slowed their steps until they finally came to the clearing. The crowd was going insane, the pit was a blur of movement. There was bands on both sides of the stage watching as the band onstage performed. His band mates slowly looked to Bakugou as they realized the person in the middle of the stage singing standing between a guy and girl strumming their lives out onto their guitars. Bakugouâs face turned red as he knew that voice anywhere, the lyrics shaking his whole body.
âShe's got a body like an hourglass, it's ticking like a clock! It's a matter of time before we all run out, when I thought he was mine, she caught him by the mouth! I waited eight long months, she finally set him free, I told him I couldn't lie, he was the only one for me. Two weeks and we had caught on fire, sheâs got it out for me, but I wear the biggest smile!â
Kirishima put his hand on Bakugouâs shoulder, âitâs just a song bro-â
âShe looks.. so good.â Bakugou was entranced by the emotion you put into the song and how happy you looked to be performing. He couldnât believe it was your band getting this big of a reaction out of the crowd and the other bands. The heat in his face quickly rushed to his lower body as you started to walk away from your other band mates and he got an actual look at you. Your skirt was just the kind that use to drive him so crazy he would have to take you wherever he could back when you were together. His muscles tensed as you walked back to your drummer, looking at him and running your hand down his chest as he hit played. As you ran your hand down seductively and slowly you sang out your part, âbut god does it feel sooo goood!â Bakugouâs hands sparked and he took a step forward just for Kirishima to grab him by his bicep. With his fist clenched he stepped back into his place, he knew why you chose this song. He knew who you sang about when you screamed the lyrics, âonce a whore, youâre nothing more-â into the microphone. It was his fault. He shouldâve never messed around with the groupie he did. Back when he first started performing shows with his band. Dismissing you not believing your potential to be a lead in a band yourself. And here he was eating his words. Your song came to a close, and all he could do was decide to show you just the way you showed him, through his performance.
âWeâre changing the song.â He growled out.
âWait- what.â Denki and Sero said together.
âBro are your sure thatâs a good idea weâve been rehearsing for weeks over this song.â Kirishima spoke out. âShut up shitty hair I know what Iâm doing, weâre doing the cover!â Bakugou snapped. Kirishima looked at the other boys and shrugged, âOkay bro- if youâre ready to perform it.â
You stood in the middle of the stage your curls sticking all over your face. You beamed in the lights shining on you and your bandmates. The crowd drank every bit of your performance in, they couldnât get enough. The screams drowned out everything, making your ears ring. You all took a bow and walked off the other side of the stage. Other bands clapped you on the back and beamed at you explaining how amazing your performance was and theyâve never seen the crowd so alive. Some back stage helpers handed your group towels and water bottles, which you all gladly accepted. You showered your bandmates in compliments making sure they knew how well they did. You were so wrapped up in everything going on you completely missed the next band being introduced. Jirou and Amajiki went to stand off stage to watch the rest of the performances. Shinsou moved over to you and placed his hand on the small of your back where it comfortably rest. He eyed you, âhow do you always still look so amazing after a performance like that,â You stomach tied in a knot and you smiled down at your boots. Shinsou had been there for you since your rough break up a couple months ago, he was there when you first started your band up. He happily offered to be your drummer, after he fell in love with your voice. You felt as if someone was staring at you so you stepped away looking around to see the culprit. Your eyes never met with anyone elseâs everyone seemed occupied with their own things. You took another drink of your water bottle and wiped your face and neck. âLetâs go watch the last few performances, see if theyâre really any competition.â You dragged him off to the side stage meeting Jirou and Amajiki. Jirou held her hand out stopping you from moving all the way to the front of the crowd of bands. You stopped in your tracks looking confused at Jirou then peering over to see who exactly was performing. Thatâs when red vermillion eyes met yours.
Bakugouâs anger was soaring through the roof as he watch Shinsou place his hand right above your perfectly round ass, at the small of your back as he whispered in your ear. He almost snapped his drumsticks in two as he watch the interaction, with only himself to blame. He kicked himself again, as he watch you take his hand pulling your new drummer to watch HIM play. His friends started preparing for their performance, getting their instruments tuned and ready. Until you finally looked up and met his eyes. His face still holding a scowl as he watched your close actions with your drummer boy. Kirishima stepped up beside him and softly spoke to him, âitâs time to start bro..â
Bakugou tore his eyes away from yours after sending a threatening glare to the lavender hair man hovering behind you who only smirked in response. His hands tightened around his drumsticks as he walked back to his set and got ready. His knee was already bouncing in irritation. He was ready to play all his anger and mixed emotions into this song, even if that meant leaving a pile of wreck in replace of this drum set. The song started and it was time to show you exactly how he felt, and to show pretty boy who was the real drummer.
You stood frozen in place as you realized the eyes you felt staring at you watching your every movement belonged to no other than your ex-boyfriends. You watched as he ripped his eyes from yours and stomped to his place. Once the stage came alive you couldnât help but only watch him. You felt weak, giving him all your attention like this. You should have walked away and not even stayed for his performance, but you were intrigued just by the song choice. Anyone who was here at the battle of the bands would recognize this song. Kirishima had started the song, instantly grabbing the attention of the crowd. But thatâs when the next verse came and your attention was snatched from you.
âCan you help the hopeless?
Well, I'm begging on my knees
Can you save my bastard soul?
Will you wait for me?
I'm sorry, brothers, so sorry, lover
Forgive me, father, I love you, mother.â
Your gut wrenched at the thought of him pouring his emotions into the lyrics of this song. Showing you just how he felt. Here he was usually boarding up his heart and hiding his true feelings, but now he was on stage in front of hundreds of people pouring out everything into one song. You were mesmerized by the way he so effortlessly played the drums. The crowd loved the drop dead boy band group, they looked just as alive as when your band performed. You looked to your bandmates as Jirou had her eyes set on one of Bakugouâs band mates, known as Denki. They were basically eye fucking across the stage his whole body shifted in her direction. Amajiki was hidden between other bands but still looked interested, you remember him saying he enjoyed this song before. Shinsou who was now besides you instead of behind you looked at you, as you looked at him. He mouthed, âare you okay?â You nodded your head. The other bands buzzed and vibed enjoying the performance just as much as the audience. The song was coming to an end and your eyes couldnât help but fall back onto the drummer who you used to call your own. Tears threatened to prick your eyes as he closed the song,
âI'm scared to get close, and I hate being alone, I long for that feeling to not feel at all
The higher I get, the lower I'll sink
I can't drown my demons, they know how to swim!
Can you feel my heart?
Can you hear the silence?
Can you see the dark?
Can you fix the broken?
Can you feel, can you feel my heart!â
The song ended and your heart was aching, you had so many different emotions running through you your mind was spinning. The crowd cheered screaming their band name. You were still looking at Bakugou whoâs head was hung and eyes still closed. You wanted to go to him but everything inside you was fighting it. He finally looked up. He stood walking around the drum set emotionless. He tucked his drumstick into his pocket and the band threw their fists up. They all then dispersed off the stage. You felt suffocated and turned and walked away from the side of the stage your group following behind.
The battle continued to go on as you stayed cooped up in your dressing room. It was pretty much silence as no one knew what to say after the performance. You had teased Jirou for a little but everything went back to quiet. You all just sat on your phones scrolling through trying to distract yourselves until the end of the battles. A notification pops up at the top of your screen, you pull it down to see it was on Shinsou texting you. You peek over your phone to meet his purple ones. You smile and sigh setting your phone down. Just as your about to say something thereâs a knock on the door. Jirou jumps up to crack it open until she swings it open. âTokyo!â You say. He grunts, âtheyâre about to announce the winner.â You chuckle and look at your friends and gesture towards the door indicating you should go. You all stand up and walk to the stage where all the bands stand. You take your place among a few other groups on one side. You catch yourself innocently looking for the blonde hair sticking in different directions until you feel an arm sling over your shoulder. You look over to see your band members anxious yet excited to hear the winner.
âThe winner of tonightâs battle of the bands is..â everyone on stage holds their breath, itâs the quietest itâs been the whole night. You could even hear a pen drop.
â THE SHADOWSâ the crowd erupts into a crazy frenzy and Jirou jumps up and down her ear jacks going everywhere. Amajiki looks shocked beyond relief as Jirou shakes him back and forth. Shinso squeezes your shoulders, âwe should probably step forward.â
Youâre in a daze as your all walk to the front of the stage. âRunner up, they almost knocked them right out of the first place spot..â
âExplosive Riots!!â The crowd goes even crazier jumping and screaming the boys names. Everything starts ringing in your ears as you look over and watch the band make their way to the front. Kirishima walks ahead of the others as Bakugou is right behind him stalking up towards the announcer. Heâs glaring in your direction but his face softens and he just looks at his feet. The announcer hands the trophy to you and you gingerly take it but then remember the nights you stayed awake, the hard work you put in, the tears the pain and you grab that award and you lift it into the air stepping forward more proud of yourself than anyone. The bring the check out and hand it to your bandmates. They then bring the last award out and hand it to the other band. âCongratulations to both bands!â You step forward to shake hands with Kirishima as theyâre about to take a picture but Shinso steps in front of you first placing his hand right into the same place he always rest it. Bakugou notices immediately and yanks kirishima back grabbing Shinsouâs hand roughly then letting a small explosive go off into his hand. Shinsou only grins and steps back. Everyone starts to disperse off stage and out of the building. Thereâs a couple more photos taken and you and your band make your way backstage. Your standing talking to some other bands as everyone is leaving as itâs already late at night. You suggest going out to celebrate your win with your band when you see people being dispersed in a bee line headed straight for your band. You look over to see a seething Bakugou headed straight at you. Or you thought he was coming for you until his hands are balled up in Shinsouâs shirt. Kirishima and the rest of his band coming quickly behind him. Just as Bakugou goes to shoot a blast off in Shinsouâs face, Kirishima grabs his arm once again pulling him back making him drop Shinsou. Both bands facing each other you step in front of Shinsou.
âWhat do you think youâre doing?!â You shout.
Kirishima gingerly chuckles and steps in front of Bakugou shoving him back.
âWe were just on our way over here to invite you to come celebrate our wins together. Thereâs a club down the road, we occasionally hit after shows.â He rubs his hand behind his neck. Youâre looking between his band and your band, Jirou and Denki making small talk sheâs twisting her ear jacks around one finger. Amajiki and Sero are discussing their cords. Itâs just you four facing each other. You cross your arms and stand back a little closer to Shinso. âSo what do you say?â Kirishima pushes the question further. Shinsou flashes a toothy grin and throws and arm around your shoulders, âweâd love to join you.. if you can keep your Pomeranian on a leash.â Bakugou fights to get around Kirishima, âoi, move it shitty hair!â You sigh rolling your eyes walking past all the boys making sure to sway your hips and barely brush against Bakugou as you pass by him. âIf weâre going letâs go, before I change my mind.â Bakugouâs full attention has shifted to you as he watches you in your short skirt walking away. Heâs like a Lion watching his prey as he walks after you before Kirishima then grabs him by the collar of his shirt holding him back. He watches as Shinso passes by smirking and shrugging. Jogging to catch up to you, the rest of the bands following after.
Bakugou follows behind the two groups down the road, walking beside Kirishima. He kicks rocks as he walks groan and grumbling as he goes. Kirishima laughs and nudges him, âyou know you canât exactly be mad when youâre the one who got yourself in this mess.â
âShut. Up. Shitty hair.â He grumbles. Heâs angry because he knows itâs his fault, heâs very aware and has been every cold lonely night since you left his sorry ass. All he wanted was to make things right with you. He missed you in his bed, at his performances, standing in his kitchen with just his shirt to cover that delicious figure of yours. He missed your crazy sex sessions. He missed everything about you. He couldnât help himself but be upset when he saw Shinsou do those things, itâs like he knew it got under his skin. He looked up the sidewalk to see you both walking beside each other, Shinsou had just said something to make you laugh, and add that to the many things he missed. Your laugh. Echoing through his ears. He slouched his shoulders. âMan, cheer up you can always tell her how you feel. Without the song. Tell her tonight or just simply congratulate her. Shit, she did damn good tonight.â Kirishima boasted. âTch- I already know this.â
You walk up to the club doors going inside and making your way to the bar. The two bands find a booth area to share and sit down. Some order drinks from the waitress walking around, but you chose to order straight from the bar. Shinso had sat down with the others. You took a breath an image of Bakugou performing earlier crossing your mind. It made your cheeks warm remember the unknown emotion spilling out of him. That warmth spread straight to your core remember his face and the sweat. His muscle contracting as he drummed his heart out. His tattoos danced on his skin. You licked your lips and ordered your drink. As soon as you got it gulping it down. If you were going to face your ex tonight youâd definitely need a couple drinks first. You get a refill and head back to the booth area everyone is chilling at. Jirou is already deep in conversation with Denki whispering in her ear and her giggling. Amajiki continued to converse with Sero as Kirishima chimes in every now and then. Then there was Bakugou sitting with his arms crossed on his chest legs planted apart you followed his state to Shinsou who sat with his arms behind his head, relaxed back. If looks could kill. The waitress comes up with a round of shots and you quickly take that moment to break the tension. âShots everybody!â You clear your throat and everyone starts grabbing one. You take two in your hand, handing one to Shinso who happily takes it. Then you turn to Bakugou and lean down letting your crop top pool away from your body revealing your black lace bra to him as you hand the shot out to him. His eyes quick Avery to your breast that are practically spilling out of your bra and you smirk, âeyes up here Katsuki.â He looks up to you and takes the shot. âCheers for tonightâs performances and winning the battles!â You shout already feeling good from your two drinks. The bands shout cheers and tilt their drinks back.
Bakugou watches you over his shot as you down your shot. Everyone goes back to socializing but in a brighter mood. Soon they start to disperse and make their way to other areas of the club. Shinsou stands up and whispers something into your ear and a blush creeps across your face. Bakugou watches intently as he walks away and leaves just you two. You look down at him and he picks up another shot tilting it to you. You sit across from him and grab another picking it up and tossing it back. Youâre now feeling tipsy. And you cross your legs giving him a clear view of the barely there lace between your cushiony thighs. He was in the middle of taking his shot when he slightly chokes then roughly swallows the rest of the liquor. âThereâs something I need to say-â Bakugou clears his throat. Your eyes havenât left him as you raise and eyebrow. You get up and walk over to him sitting next to him. âSpeak then.â You whisper into his ear as he clutches his knee with his hand shivers run through his body. He takes another shot and he word vomits.
âI know I hurt you, and I know thereâs nothing I can do to change that. But I wanted to let you know I see you. I see how much better youâre doing without me. How much your striving. You killed shit tonight. I was so impressed, I knew you could sing but you surprised me when you owned the stage like that. I shouldâve never doubted you. I shouldâve never let those groupies get in between us and ruin the amazing thing we had. None of them could compare to you. Youâre literally everything anyone could want and more. I guess thatâs why Iâm so jealous of Shinsou, being close to you. Being in the spot I used to be in. The way he touches you and makes you laugh. That should be me, I miss you. I miss everything about you, your entire presence. I-â You slip your hand on his thigh. His cock twitches in his pants and he looks up to you. Youâre already looking at him, you lick your lips and smile. His eyes follow your tongue as it drags across your lips. You tilt your head. âKatsuki, Shinsou isnât your replacement. But he was there for me. When you did what you did. And he helped me learn that I can forgive you. But I needed to stop thinking about you and think about me. And now Iâve become stronger, and more confident and resilient. Iâm me. Iâm not the same person I was when I was with you. But.. Iâm willing to work on things if you are. But you actually have to try. That doesnât mean things will go back to the way they were but itâs a start.â He just looks into your eyes for a while not believing you are actually willing to start things anew with him. He pushes one of your stray hairs behind your ear and you lean into his touch. Your eyes flutter shut at the feeling, how much youâve missed his intimate touch. Bakugo takes the opportunity to lean forward and capture your lips in his. You pull back and open your eyes. He pulls his bottom lip in between his teeth, âshould I not have done that?â Heat is pooling in your core right now, you chuckle. âYouâre still a cocky son of a bitch.â
You wrap your hands in his blonde tresses pulling him into a heated kisses moaning into his mouth. He shoves his tongue into your mouth his stud hitting your teeth then exploring your mouth. Your hand moves up his thigh and rubs his hard on. He groans into the kiss and pulls away leaning his head on your neck. âWant to get out of here?â He leans back and looks at you. Iâll probably regret this in the morning you think to yourself but the alcohol in your mind shoves the answer out of your mouth, âyes.â He links his fingers between yours as he basically drags you out of the club. He calls a cab over and you both slide into the back seat. You both steal kisses here and there until you get to a familiar apartment building. He pays the taxi and you both get out dashing to the door. You stumble through already locked back into a passionate kiss. Your arms wrap around his neck pulling him deeper in and he kicks his door shut, locking as it closes. He breaks the kiss and you look around. Heâs definitely switched it up since you left but not even in a bad way. It looked a lot nicer, you took a deep breath in taking in his sent as it surrounded you completely. Bakugou already had his shoes kicked off and his shirt ripped up off his shoulders. You went to take the skirt off but he growled, âleave it on.â You smiled knowing what these skirts did to you. He pulled you back into him crashing your lips together then trailing down to your neck. He nipped and sucked at your skin leaving love bites everywhere. He knew all the places to make your pussy so wet your underwear were soaked. He lifted you up and set you on the counter pulling your shirt up and over your head. You trailed your hands up his tattoo arms then down his chest to his abs. You kisses his collarbone and rubbed him through his pants. âMmmâ He tilted his head back. You unbuttoned his pants as he I clipped your bra. You let the bra slide down your arms as you flung it somewhere into the room next to where you sat on the counter. He shuffled out of his pants putting the pitched tent in his pants on full display. He wedged himself between your thighs gently laying you back, he pulled your panties off from underneath your skirt. âDamn princess, are you that wet already? You havenât been taking care of yourself have you..â he ran his hands down your body grabbing your below the knee and spreading you open so he could see just how wet you were for him. âThe toys just donât do it for me-â you breath out shakily as the cool are hits you. Bakugo runs his hard length along your slick, only to pull away. âDo not tease me Katsuki.â He tightens his grip on your legs. He loved when you addressed him by his first name. He planted kisses along your thighs until he reached your core. He blew cold air onto your wetness. You clenched around nothing and arched your back. He looked up at you from between your thighs, you squirming already. He let your legs rest on his shoulders as his hands reached for your hardened peaks. Twisting and pulling your nipples as he licked up your slit. You gasped taking in the sheer pleasure feeling as if youâd reach your climax right then. He took your clit into his mouth and hollowed out his cheeks sucking on it before flicking his tongue over it. âKatsuki,â you moaned out for him ready to fall apart. He let go of your right bud to bring his hand down to where he was feasting on you. He slowly rubbed circles around your entrance with his middle finger as he licked viciously at your clit, his tongue piercing rolling against your swollen bud of nerves. âYou like that teddy bear?â You reeled in the bliss of him using your pet name from when you were together. It made you even wetter. He caught on right away as you pushed your wetness onto his finger, he took his ring finger and collected your slick with his fingers before slipping them gently into you. He pinched your nipple as he start to thrust his fingers in and out of your core, letting the lewd sounds fill his apartment once again. How he missed the sounds of your moans ringing through his empty apartment.
His cock throbbed, pre cum dripping from the tip. He hooked his fingers inside of you feeling you clenching around his fingers, your release approaching quickly. He released your clit and stood connecting his lips to yours. You moaned into his mouth as he muted you with his tongue. You tasted yourself on him, he pulled away from you a long string of saliva still connecting your mouths as you let your tongue hang out of your mouth with your eyes glazed over with lust. Bakugou loved seeing you melt under his touch, being so open and vulnerable to him. He plunged his fingers in and out of you at a quicker speed pressing against your g-spot everytime. He looked into your eyes as your mouth still open for him with drool running down your chin and the corners of your mouth. He collected the saliva and juices in his mouth and grabbed your throat with his hand he had occupied with your nipple. He didnât want to spat into your mouth but let the string of spit drip down into your mouth as you happily let it intrude your mouth dripping onto your tongue and you swallowing. He then took your nipple into his mouth shoving his fingers into your mouth to replace his tongue. You sucked on his fingers as you went over the edge squirting on his hand. He let go of your nipple with a pop and watched as you squirted up his forearm. âThatâs right teddy bear, cum for meâ Your back arched off the counter as you finished your legs quaking. He eased you out of your orgasm. He scooped you up your skirt wet sticking to your ass as he walked into his living room and dropped onto the couch you straddling his hips. He kissed your jaw and your neck as you caught your breath. You grabbed both sides of his face kissing him, then trailed your kisses down his neck biting his collar bone and moving down his chest. You licked one of his buds pulling it into his mouth as he moaned and moved to his other repeating the action you then, licked his abs leaving a trail of marks down then until you reached his massive cock. You grabbed it wrapping both your hands around it and started stroking it. His hands gripped the couch cushions, he leaned his head back eyes closed in ecstasy. You took his engorged head into your mouth swirling your tongue around the tip. He wrapped one hand into your hair as you slowly bobbed your head making your way down his entire length. It had been a while since youâve performed on him so you couldnât go all the way before he hit the back of your throat triggering your gag reflex. He slightly chuckled moving your curls away from your face wrapping them in his big hand, âtake your time teddy bearâ you look at him through your lashes with your big doe eyes. âYouâre so fucking beautiful with my cock in your mouth.â Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as you tried to force more of him down your throat. His hips bucked into you causing him to shove more down your throat. You swallowed and it aloud you to take more of him. You cupped his balls massaging them and he couldnât help himself to continue to fuck your pretty face. âMmm, just like that teddy bear. Youâre doing so good for me.â He shoved his cock into your mouth repeatedly until he couldnât take it anymore.
He pulled you up to him by your hair and flipped you over so your knees were on the cushions and your arms were resting on the back of the couch. He rubbed his head at your entrance, âare you ready teddy bearâ you nodded quickly confirming this is what you wanted. He ran one of his hands down your back to the small of it right about your skirt. He unzipped it and let it fall onto the couch. He slapped your ass and slowly eased his head into your entrance. You whimpered as he stretched you. He grabbed your shoulder while the other hand rest on your hip and slowly eased himself in. He bottomed out letting you adjust to him. You slowly shifted yourself and starting to move front and backwards rocking yourself on your knees fucking yourself on his cock. âFuck- baby.. your so tight.â He started thrusting into you and you hesitantly looked back over your shoulder. Bakugo was staring at where you both met, as he was entering you enjoying the view of his cock splitting you apart. Youâre cheeks reddened as he looked up and caught you watching him. He smirked at you and slapped your ass leaving a pink handprint. He pulled you back onto his cock picking up his pace fucking you hard showing you just how much he missed you wrapped around him. You faced forward now moaning crazy almost positive any of his neighbors could hear you. He grabbed your hair and rutted into you slamming himself into you hitting your soft spot as your gummy walls sucked him in. He felts himself coming closer to his finish. You started to throw it back at the same time he was thrusting in and he groaned loudly, âfuck teddy bear you like throwing that ass back on this fat fucking cock donât youâ another rough smack landed against your opposite cheek, your ass now a pink on both sides. You both moved in sync and he grabbed both your hips. âIâm about to cu-â he slammed into you hitting your cervix as you screamed out, âKatsuki.â He grinded against you riding his finish out. He then pulled out watching as his seed dripped out of you onto your skirt. âSo sexyâ he rubbed circles on your ass. You lay slumped over the side of the couch. He grabs a throw blanket from one of the chairs sitting off to the side and wraps it around you picking you up bridal style. You lay your head against his shoulder. âYou can rest, Iâll clean you up teddy bear. Donât worry.â You relaxed into him and let your eyes close, not sure if youâd regret it anymore in the morning.

Warnings: yandere, adult themes, bordering Stockholm syndrome, hints of dubious consent
A/N: hereâs another fic I posted and deleted a bit ago, but I edited it and revamped it a bit. I was in a weird place when I wrote this, but itâs content! Gonna stop impulsively deleting shitđ
âAre you in love with me?â
What a pathetic question. You know it is, but itâs been on your mind all damn day. That, amongst other things. Insecurities have been bombarding your brain and consuming your thoughts. Theyâre the kind that youâve managed to repress for years, but today, while bored of all the nothing you had to do while Shinsou was away, they came at you full force, as if they were paying you back for forgetting about them.
Before Shinsou took you, happiness had been perpetually evasive. Some days you could pretend like it had been there, but that had just been a trick of the mindâa phantom emotion that muzzled how youâd actually been feeling.
The truth is, your friendsâyour familyâeveryone you know has always simply tolerated you. You could go to them when you were feeling down, but they never really wanted to hear your qualms. Theyâd always tell you anything you needed to hear to get you to stop whining. Thereâd been an art to ignoring how they grimaced at your attempted humor and hope for you to stop trying. They never wanted to hear about your interests or aspirations, eitherâmost of them were too big for you anywaysâbut they would smile and wait for you to finish prattling on, then exhale with relief when it was over.
So, it hadnât been like you could tell them how you felt, lest you wanted to risk being a ceaseless nuisance.
Some days youâd wondered if they wouldnât mind if you just disappeared. Now you find yourself wondering what they think now that you have.
Itâs fine. Rather, it had been fine when you were around them. However, the more time youâre forced to spend with Shinsou, the more you realize how unhappy you used to be.
You canât say youâre happy now, either. With the reality of your situation, youâd actually have to be insane to say that youâre happy. A caged bird could never thrive if he couldn't fly. But Shinsou has been the first person that wanted to hear you talk about anything and everything. He wants to know youâto be there for you. He actually asks about your likes and dislikes, how youâre feeling, what he can do to make things better, while youâve always been reluctant to answer him.
Still, you want to know. You want to be sure. You can assume that he does love you. Afterall, heâs taking care of you right now.
Earlier, he sensed that you were stressed and offered to give you a massage. Normally you would slink away from his touch, but you were feeling weak, so you said yes. You have to admit that having him touch you is... nice.
A deep groan escapes your chest when he presses on a particularly tense spot in your back, so he rubs the area more, making sure to massage all of your anxieties away. He leans down low to press his lips against the shell of your ear. You can feel the curl of his mouth when he says, âthatâs a stupid question.â
I know. You want to tell him that, but you wonât. You wonât open up to him. You know heâd like that too much. Itâs ironic, really. The one person who wants you to open up to them and itâs the last person on earth youâd want to tell anything too personal to.
âI wouldnât have asked it if I didnât need to hear the answer.â
âYou wouldnât be here if I wasnât in love with you,â he counters.
TouchĂŠ, asshole.
âSo the moment you fall out of love with me, youâre going to let me go.â
You very nearly say âyouâre going to kick me out,â but itâs not like youâre simply visiting with him. Youâre there against your will. He's your captor, youâre his prisoner.
âThatâs not going to happen.â
âBut if it does-â
âIt wonât.â Shinsou begins kissing down your spine. âGetting you here was a drag, but I wonât be letting you go under any circumstances.â
âWhy?â
Darks skepticism envelopes his timbre when he asks, âwhy, what?â
You can't blame him. Thereâs been plenty of one-sided conversation where youâve practically begged to be released, only to have Shinsou give you the cold shoulder. This wonât be another one of those discussions. You couldnât bear it.
âWhy do you like me?â
âWhy do I like you, or why am I in love with you?â
You think about it for a second and decide to hell with it. You threw your dignity out the window the second you asked your first question. You hide your face in the pillow and mutter, âboth.â
Shinsou hums against your back, pretending to consider the question while he squeezes your hips, pressing his thumbs into either side of your tailbone.
âOh, god,â you sigh, pushing your ass up so he presses deeper on you, âthat feels so good.â
âReason one as to why I like you-â Shinsou moves his hands down to your ass. He kneads your muscles, partly because he knows you want it, but mostly because he loves handling your ass- âyou sound like that when you moan.â
âBe serious!â You bark back half-heartedly, because he seriously knows how to give a good massage, and you canât stay annoyed when heâs touching you like that.
âIâm being plenty serious. Itâs hot.â He squeezes your bottom, adding just the right amount of pressure to get you to moan again. He chuckles and thumbs the side of your underwear, letting it snap back to your skin pap! âSo hot.â
âSo, you like me because Iâm hot?â You exhale when he squeezes more lotion onto your back, the cool sensation making goosebumps rise on your skin.
âWell-â thereâs a shrug in his voice when he makes his way back up to your spine-âitâs one of the reasons.â
Shinsou begins listing things he likes about you: the curl of your hair, the dip in your hips, the curve of your ass, the way your nose scrunches up when you smell something you think is going to be nice, but is actually unappealing, and that âcute little mole in that one place,â he suggests, âyou know, the one I like to kissâŚâ
Itâs all almost nice to hear, except they all have one thing in common: theyâre all physical. You wonât always look like what you do now. You donât think that Shinsou is so superficial that he only judges you on your appearance, but you canât stop the swelling in your chest.
âAnd I especially like your neck,â he whispers at the column of your throat, right before licking a stripe up to your earlobe. You shudder when he smiles against you. âSo sensitiveâŚâ
âSo thatâs it?â
Youâre being negative, demanding even, and you shouldnât feel bad about it because itâs with Shinsou, but you do. You need to hear more. You need to feel like you matter.
âThereâs loads more, but this is what Iâm focusing on right now. My partnerâs half naked in front of me and Iâm only human.â
You turn to face him, maneuvering the pillow your head was on to the front of you, hiding Shinsouâs eyes both from your chest, and from the tears youâve left behind.
âWhat about when I change?â You ask, squeezing your fluffy shield against your stomach.
âWhat do you mean?â
âLike-â you bow your head, fiddling with the fringes on the pillow- âI donât know. If Iâm gonna be stuck here forever, then obviously Iâm gonna age.â
Shinsou frowns. âSo?â
âSo...I wonât always be-â you make a flippant gesture at him-âyour version of hot!â
He snorts. âMy version of hot? Whatâs that?â
âYou tell me!â
He shakes his head, laughing as he brings his hand to the back of his neck, looking sheepish. âYouâre my version of hot...it wonât matter if your hair turns silver, your skin wrinkles, you get all saggy and crinkly-â he chuckles- âsame thingâs gonna happen to me, only with my job, I might end up losing an arm orâheaven forbidâI get a scar over an eye.â
You dismiss that. âScars can be hot.â
âDuly noted.â He smirks. âI might have to be extra reckless on my next mission. See how you react to my battle wounds.â
âPlease donât,â you say immediately. You gaze up at him to see that his usual sleep-ridden eyes have softened. Geez, heâs acting as if you said something nice to him.
âWhatâs going on with you?â Shinsou asks as his hand falls over your pillow shield. He tugs on it to move, but you keep it clawed to your chest. âCâmon...let me in.â
Itâs hard because you want to. You want to let him in, and youâre stupid for it. At least you have the mind to shake your head at him.
âAlright then,â he says, âwhat do you like about me? Or should I say, do you like me?â
âNo.â That part is easy enough to say. Even if it's a lie, which you arenât sure if it is or not, you know itâs what you should say every time. Regardless of what he makes you feel, what he does for you, how he takes care of you, youâre still there against your will.
You donât get a moment to feel guilty about saying it either, because as soon as the answer rolls off of your tongue, you freeze, unable to move or speak. Immediately you want to rebuke, tell him off, scream at him, but your body disobeys every single one of your furious demands. Shinsou hasnât used his mind control on you too much lately, and you let yourself forget that he has it. Youâre absolutely seething.
Bastard.
âIâm sorry, darlinâ. Iâm a slave to my own whims.â Shinsou takes the pillow away from your body. His eyes scan over your torso appreciatively before finding the dark dots stained from your tears on the fabric of your pillow. He flexes his jaw, then places the pillow back behind you.
âLay back,â he commands, and youâre helpless to oblige.
For a moment, the two of you are still. Shinsouâs staring at you, but not in a way thatâs weird...er than normal. Heâs seen you naked plenty of times, so heâs not being entirely a pervert. Itâs only when he rolls down to level his face with yours, you see that thereâs mist in his eyes.
âYouâre intelligent,â he says, placing a hand over your navel, âand not in a way thatâs annoying. You can hold stimulating conversations, and you think...differently, but youâre also interested in listening to divergent viewpoints.â
Shinsou starts moving his hand in circles, using his fingertips to draw intricate designs across your skin.
âYou donât know how to make a proper playlist, so when you listen to music, the weirdest shit comes on, and you sing along to all of it. And youâre so bad at singing, but you belt that shit out like you donât even care.â
You kinda wanna hit him. You kinda wanna laugh. You kinda donât wanna accept that you've gotten comfortable enough around Shinsou to actually sing around him, even if itâs in the goofy voice that you use.
âYouâre kind to animals, you laugh in your sleep, you yell at inanimate objects, and you always read the last page of a novel once youâre halfway through it, which is infuriating, but itâs because you get so excited that you canât stand not knowing whatâs going to happen.â
Shinsou brings his hand up to cup your face. âYou piss me off. You challenge me. Youâre stubborn and defiant and abrasive and I-â he pauses, sighing- âand I love it. I love every part of youâvexing vices and valorous virtues.â
He leans down so that his lips are a hair away from yours. His voice is tight, raspy from something heâs holding back, but still, he speaks. âI know Iâm fucked up for this. I know you hate it here, but thereâs no way in hell Iâd ever let anyone else have you. Youâre so fucking weird, and beautiful, and angry. Youâre precious to me, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that Iâll always be in love with you. And that means damning you to me. I would say that Iâm sorry, but Iâm not. At least, not for keeping you. Youâre the only thing I've ever wantedâthe only sin I donât regret.â
Your brain is ocean fog when his lips meet yours. He kisses you softly, because he doesnât want to bring you out of your stupor just yet. His fingers travel down your sides, resting at the waistband of your panties. He pulls back and eyes you deviously.
âAnd if you donât like me yet, I guess Iâll have to deal, but that doesnât mean Iâm not gonna keep gunning for your affection.â He smirks, hooking his thumbs around the sides of your briefs. Your entire body flushes in direct reaction to him, anticipating what comes next. It doesnât go unnoticed.
With a devilish glint in his indigo eyes, he smirks up at you and says, âat least I know some things you love about meâ

The Great Academia Road Trip, Part 2 (My Hero Academia)
Primary Universe
Summary: On their first morning away from home, Deku and Aoyama meet in the early hours and wind up passing the time waiting for the others to wake up in an unexpected and playful way.
A/N: I feel like a genius for finding a way to combine these two prompts. I also consider myself a genius for finding a temporary solution to my "I hate titles" problem. Hahaha! Enjoy!

Part 1
~~~
âGood morning, Midoriya.â
Deku turned, smiling when he saw his sparkly blonde friend entering the bathroom they shared with the rest of the guys in their class. It was their first full day of activities on this training/vacation road trip they were on, and â as usual â Deku had been up earlier than most everyone else just out of habit. Heâd thought to go ahead and get dressed and wash up before the rest of the guys woke and caused chaos with their limited space, so he was pleasantly surprised when his quiet morning was interrupted by one of his more relaxed classmates.
âMorning, Aoyama,â he replied. âDid you sleep well?â
âOui.â Aoyama nodded, stretching his arms above him before turning on one of the faucets and splashing his face with cold water. âYou?â
âPretty good, actually.â Deku smiled. Thanks to Kacchanâs random tickle attack last night, any uneasiness he may have felt about sleeping in a new place had been all but eradicated. âIâm not sure what time weâre allowed in the lobby. Do you?â
âNo, but if we are quiet Iâm sure we couldnât get into trouble for just looking to see, you know?â
âRight.â
Deku stepped outside to give Aoyama some privacy, and when they were both ready to go, they made their way down the hall of sleeping classmates and other hotel guests to the stairwell, where they poked their head down to see if anyone was moving about in the lobby yet.
It looked astonishingly empty.
âPerhaps it is too early?â Aoyama suggested.
Deku hummed thoughtfully, frowning. âI donât know. I mean, itâs only an hour before weâre supposed to be up; donât you think at least one of the teachers would be up by now?â
âI donât know.â
âWellâŚâ Deku glanced around, then pointed to the landing halfway down the stairs where theyâd be between the two floors. âWhy donât we sit down there until someone else shows up? That way we can talk without disturbing anybody, and when the lobby opens up weâll see movement.â
Aoyama nodded. âGood idea.â He stretched again. âI slept well, but my back is sore.â
âToo used to the beds in our dorms?â
âOui. In comparison, these bedrolls we use during travel are made of concrete.â
Deku chuckled. âThey are a little harder, huh?â He watched as Aoyama stretched his arms above his head yet again, tilting from side to side to try and ease the soreness in his back. Deku felt an incredible urge to tickle him while he was exposed, but forced himself to stay put.
Then Aoyama groaned and placed both hands on his lower back. âMidoriya, I donât suppose I could ask you for a favor?â
âOf course!â
âWould you mind massaging my back a little?â the blonde asked sheepishly, unable to make eye contact. âThe muscles are so tense and I donât think stretching is going to help.â
Deku smiled. âTotally. Here, lie down on your stomach. Iâll do what I can.â Once Aoyama had done as he was asked, Deku gently felt around his lower back, searching out the tense spots his friend was talking about. It didnât take long at all to find them. âWhoa, Aoyama, youâve got some serious knots of tension. What did you do? Sleep like a pretzel?â
âSome things cannot be explained, mon ami.â
Deku chuckled again. âOkay, well, just let me know if anything hurts too much. Iâll try and ease the pain for you.â
âMerci.â
For several minutes, Deku worked gently on Aoyamaâs back, easing the knots of tension as best he could, massaging the area to ease the pain. He worked for almost ten minutes before checking in. âHowâs that? Any better?â
âMuch better,â Aoyama sighed contentedly. âI owe you one.â
âNot at all.â Deku hesitated, that urge to tickle him rising up again. Now that he was no longer in pain, it was definitely temptingâŚ
Oh, what the heck? Deku lightly scribbled over Aoyamaâs sides, grinning when the blonde yelped and slapped a hand over his mouth, rolling into his side with wide eyes.
âM-Midoriya?â
âYes?â Deku asked innocently, slipping his hands under the blondeâs shirt to scratch at his lower ribs. âAre you still feeling pain?â
âN-No, y-you â Midoriya, stohohohopâŚâ Aoyama let a couple of giggles loose, rolling onto his back and trying to sit up.
Deku straddled him. âBut I think I feel more tension. Right here.â He kneaded his thumbs into the sides of his friendâs belly, right near his navel. When Aoyamaâs stomach clenched with suppressed giggles, the green-haired boy nodded seriously. âYep, thereâs definitely tension. Let me work on that, too.â
âN-Nohohohoho! Midoriya!â Aoyama used on hand to cover his mouth and the other to try and push Deku away. âThehehehereâs no tehehehension! Y-Youâre tihihickling me! Plehehehease!â
âTickling?â Deku exclaimed as though heâd never heard the word. âIs that why youâre giggling? Oh, that makes sense. Definitely.â
âStohohohohohohop!â
âBut I like making my friends laugh,â Deku teased, shooting one hand up into Aoyamaâs underarm. Aoyama screeched and finally released his mouth, using both hands to push his assailant away as laughter poured from him freely. âYeah, just like that!â
âPlehehehehehehease! Midoriya, stohohohohohop!â
Deku beamed, then climbed off of him, patting his knee. âSorry, Aoyama. But you kept stretching in front of me and then you asked me for a massage and I really couldnât resist.â
Aoyama kept giggling, catching his breath, and when he looked at Deku, there was a wicked glint to his eye that made the freckled boy both nervous and excited.
âYou said you like making your friends laugh? Well, so do I.â The blonde grabbed Dekuâs hip, and Deku slapped both hands over his mouth to keep from letting out a scream of laughter, falling back against the wall with Aoyama quickly climbing into his lap, trapping him so effectively he couldnât move at all. He could only sit there and take it, and the sparkly teen was pressing his thumbs into Dekuâs hips so deliberately.
âPlease!â Deku squealed, trying his best to stay quiet as he dug his heels into the carpet and wiggled back and forth against the wall, fighting between his desire to cover up his boisterous laughter and his desire to push Aoyama away â or tickle him back again. âP-Plehehehease, not thehehehere, Iâll whahahahake everyone up!â
âThen you shouldnât have tickled me while I was helpless to fight back,â Aoyama teased, grinning.
âBut you wheheheheherenât helpless - Aoyama nohohohohohohohoho!â Deku arched his back as much as possible when he found the hip bone, forcing the green-haired boy to thrash against the wall, finally pushing at Aoyama with desperate laughter bursting from his lungs. âPLEHEHEHEHEASE, NO, IâLL WAHAHAHAHAHAKE THE WHOLE HOTEL â AOYAMAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!â
âGood morning, you two.â
The third voice put an abrupt end to the boysâ play, drawing their attention to the top of the stairs, where Shinsou stood with one hand in his jeans pocket as he began his descent.
âSh-Shinsou!â Deku yelped, pushing Aoyama away now that he was distracted. The blonde tumbled off in a heap. âG-Good morning!â
âHaving fun, Midoriya?â the purple-haired boy smirked, walking past him without waiting for an answer, continuing into the lobby.
âI â w-wait! We donât know if weâre allowedââ
âDidnât you read the handout?â Shinsou looked back up at the both of them once heâd reached the base of the stairs. âWeâre allowed in the lobby after six in the morning, even if weâre not required to be up by seven. They start serving breakfast at six.â
Deku and Aoyama exchanged surprised glances.
âI take it neither of you have eaten yet?â
âNo,â said Aoyama. âWe were waiting for someone else to show up.â
Shinsou was silent for a long moment, looking between the two of them before his eyes settled on Deku. âWellâŚIâm here now. Do youâŚwant to join me for breakfast?â
Deku leapt to his feet, nearly pulling Aoyama up with him. âOf course!â
Shinsou nodded, then kept walking.
Aoyama followed Deku down the rest of the stairs, but before they could get too far into the lobby, he pinched Dekuâs ribs, making him squeak. âJust getting the last tickle in, Midoriya. Youâd better be careful who you choose to tickle fight with.â The blonde winked at him. âI may not go so easy on you next time.â
That was going easy? Deku thought, a thrill shooting through him. He could still feel ghost tickles in his hips where the blondeâs hands had been just a minute before. Still, he couldnât let Aoyama think he was intimidated. âIâd like to see you try and beat me in a tickle fight, Aoyama.â
The blonde smirked at him just as they caught up to Shinsou in the dining room. âChallenge accepted, mon ami.â
your next date happens the same way, just tells you that you guys are going out, but you get it this time
katsuki in street clothes is just beautiful, just ART, a masterpiece, he looks like a grumpy piece of ART
Katuski had just asked Y/N on a date, completely out of nowhere. Katsuki had asked Y/N on a date. It was difficult to believe, and considering his loud tone, the rest of Class 1-A also found it shocking, the student who claimed to have all his focus on becoming the number one pro-hero was now seeking a relationship. Ironic.
Though Y/N herself initially didnât understand what he had been trying to say, she quickly got the message, and off they went. She was necessarily shocked by his feelings for her, they had discussed it in the dead of night, when she couldnât sleep so he decided to forgo his normal grandpa sleep schedule. He fell asleep shortly after that conversation though, in her arms, heâd likely deny it if she ever mentioned it though.
Now, she sat on the counter in his parentâs kitchen, though neither of them were home, and the kitchen looked mostly unused. Y/N had tried to assist him but heâd brushed her off, âI asked you out. And youâre a horrible cook.âÂ
Y/N hopped off the counter and came up behind him, âwhatever.â She mumbled, half expecting Katsuki to shove her away as she wrapped her arms around his torso as he sliced vegetables. He didnât, though he did freeze momentarily before grumbling something about how dumb she was, Y/N knew he didnât mean it based off the blush on his cheeks.Â
Katsuki placed the vegetables into a pot of boiling water, covering it with a lid before tapping Y/Nâs hand, signaling for her to let go. When she did, he turned around, and Y/Nâs brow was raised. âCâmere.â He pulled her closer with one hand, and placed another on the back of her necks, bringing their lips together.Â
She hummed in response, hand tangling into his hair, this wasnât the first time theyâd kissed. But it was the first time theyâd gone on a date, heâd been sure to hide the dining room from her on the way inside, and she couldnât help the excitement that bubbled up inside her.Â
Y/Nâs free hand found itâs way to his bicep, nails digging into his soft skin, courtesy of his quirk. Meanwhile, Katsukiâs hand found its way to the curve of her back, pushing her body closer to his only for Y/N to pull away, âpay attention while you are cooking.â
Turning to look at the pot, heâd realized that it was boiling far too much for comfort and cursed, releasing Y/N to salvage his food, she began to laugh. Katuski glared at her as he turned off the stove and put the put the vegetables into a nearby plate.Â
With a smile on her face, she pressed a kiss onto his cheek, only for him to roll his eyes as he picked up the plate and moved out of the kitchen, Y/N trailing close behind as he headed to the dining room. âCan I see now?â She asked.
After a moment of contemplation, he nodded, and together they entered the dining room. It was a basic set up for a date, but it certainly set an intimate atmosphere that was rare when you lived in a dorm with several other students, and Mineta. There were candles lighting the room, and a rose in the center of the table, along with more food that he had already placed on the table.Â
Grinning at him, Y/N spoke, âgod you are such a sap.â
His cheeks flushed as he responded, âshut up.âÂ
SHINSOU HITOSHI
lol cutie, he asks you out on a date, you two are probably close friends and he just really likes your personality and attitude and stuff
âyou donât have to- well you know that but-â
âno, iâll go out with you.â
âitâs fine i understand- wait what?â
did not think heâd get this far so he had no plans, he was expecting to plan a funeral for your friendship
ends up being the basic movie and food date
he picks a horror movie because he wants to protect you!!!
it makes him feel useful and bb needs validation
hold his hand during the movie
give him AFFECTION
you guys end up skipping dinner because you filled up on popcorn and other snacks during the movie so yâall just walk around
gives you his j a c k e t if its cold
heâs classy like that
unlike other people, he would kiss you on the first date
it would be an AMAZING experience that probably occurs at your front door, super adorable, he asks if he can kiss you
âcan i kiss you?â fully expects you to say no
âyeah you can.â
âits fine, thanks for going out with me- wait what?â
same vibes as asking you out, did NOT expect this
walks you home because he is a GENTLEMAN change my mind, Shinsou brought back chivalry 2020
treats you RIGHT!!! the entire date, opens doors for you, pulls out your chair if necessary, pays for you unless you try to split the check but he might propose if you do that and pay for you regardless
When Shinsou asked Y/N out, he genuinely expected her to say no. His plans for the date included a funeral for himself and the friendship between the two of them. But, Shinsou was an honest guy and wanted to confess his feelings to her, secrets were a rarity between them, and this was no exception. Theyâd known each other for a while and his feelings werenât something he could make disappear, no matter how hard he tried.
The last thing he expected was for her to agree to go out with him.Â
She was still clinging onto his arm rather harshly as they exited the movie theater, having seen a horror movie, she exclaims, âI am never letting you pick the movie again.âÂ
Shinsou canât help it when his heart skips a beat at her comment, looking over to her as he smirks, âagain? So there will be a next time?â He asked, hoping that he hadnât misunderstood.
Her cheeks warm, even though he asked her out, and Y/N looks away, âyes, if you want.â She mumbled, loosening her grip on his arm as they stepped outside. Cool air hits her, and Y/N canât help the shiver that goes down her spine at the sudden cold.Â
âI asked you out, of course I want a second date.â He replied, taking his arm from her grasp to remove his jacket, which he puts around her shoulders. âYou still want dinner?âÂ
Y/N hums, taking his hand in hers and grinning as his cheeks turn red, âIâm not really hungry after all the snacks we had.â She replied, leaning her head onto his shoulder. âLetâs just walk.âÂ
They walked throughout the small shopping center, speaking with each other in regards to a variety of topics before beginning the walk home, when it started to rain. Thankfully, they were nearby Y/Nâs home, and the laughs that consumed them as they ran didnât stop as they ran up under the roof of Y/Nâs porch. Shinsouâs hair was now matted onto his head thanks to the rain, their clothes soaked.Â
Looking up at him, Y/N let another laugh escape her, âI like your hair.â She teased, bringing a hand up to ruffle it, though it had little effect.
Shinsou playfully glared at her, âyeah, yeah.â A smile found its way onto his face as he looked at her, the rain still hammering down on the roof, he found himself not wanting to let go of her hand as he asked, âcan I kiss you? You donât need-â He began to ramble, and Y/N was reminded of when he first asked her out as she watched him.Â
Y/Nâs hand released his and she grabbed his face, bringing his lips to hers, effectively silencing him as his hands fell onto her hips. They broke apart momentarily, only for Y/Nâs arms to circle around his neck and pull him closer for yet another kiss.
âIâll take that as a yes.â He mumbled as they pulled apart.
Tilting her head, Y/N smirked, âyouâre cute.â Shinsou ducked his head to hide the pink in his cheeks at this comment. âBe here next Saturday around 2 in the afternoon. This time I pick the movie.â
Looking back up, he raised a brow. âI happened to enjoy the movie, particularly the parts when you-â
âI donât have to agree to a second date.â Y/N threatened as she playfully slapped his shoulder before heading to her front door, looking back at him as she walked.
Shinsou hummed, eyes meeting hers as he grabbed her hand and yanked her back. âI think I liked the way you shut me up the first time around better.â He presses a gentle kiss to her lips before releasing her hand so that she can head inside.Â
TODOROKI SHOUTO
THIS BOY
you probably donât know its a date heâs like âso how was the dateâ
and you there like âim sorry how was the WHAT?â
asks his siblings for help because heâs clueless, also asks izuku and maybe even bakugo during their remedial course, though camie is 10x more helpful
this is because shoto always spends all of his fatherâs money on you
while you two are just best friends, heâll see you look at something and then heâll just buy it
you guys already act like a couple. like stfu we get it, you have Class 1-Aâs resident pretty boy wrapped around your finger jeez no need to brag
it because heâs in love with you already but he doesnât know that its not his fault he is oblivious to his own emotions
this just amplifies on a date
tries to take you to a ridiculously fancy restaurant and youâre like???
settles for a cafe
you get lost in the convo and forget to actually drink your drink so he just reheats it or makes it nice and cool again ya know
super useful bb
give him validation
listens to you super intentlyÂ
intellectual conversations EVERYWHERE he is literally so fun to talk to like discuss any and everything with him
First date at a cafe, heâs rich, he stole his dadâs credit card, and he happens to love trying new things since he was sheltered as a child so he will buy EVERY S I N G L E DRINK for you two to try them all together
50/50 chance he kisses you on the first date
100% chance a kiss happens if you initiate it
he walks you home, and depending on if you are feeling hot or cold, youâll stand by his side, preferably away from the road because shoto is a gentleman who gets hit by cars for his partnerÂ
When Izuku had suggested that Shoto take Y/N out on a date to help confess his feelings for her, he figured it would be a good idea. Except, he forgot the part where he asked her on the date.
Oops.
This didnât really dawn on him as she led him away from the fancy restaurant he had tried to convince her to enter,  âwe both know that neither of us would understand a thing on the menu because itâs probably all in french.â Though she had dressed for the occasion, and so had he. âWhy do you even want to eat there?â Y/N asked, her hand still holding his as she dragged him along the side walk.
She knew very well how much he disliked such places. They reminded him of all the high end restaraunts he had been forced to go to as a child. And since his father was an infamous pro hero, and Shoto himself was one of the more popular Class 1-A students, it wasnât uncommon for reporters to frequent areas he was seen in. Carrying their cameras as they tried to get a story about him or his father. Heâd told Y/N numerous times how much he disliked the attention, which is why he avoided certain areas of the city.Â
Shoto stared at their joined hands, that feeling of joy bubbling in his chest, âmy understanding is that you take people to a nice restaurant for a date.â Came his response.
Y/N stopped walking, though Shoto didnât, causing him to run into her and nearly trip her had he not grabbed waist to keep her from falling. âThis is a date?â She asked, hands clinging to his arms as she tried to maintain balance. Heâd been acting different, so Y/N felt as though she shouldnât be shocked, but the fact that Shoto liked her?
He said nothing, releasing her from his arms before taking a step back, âI feel as though I should apologize-â Shoto began, realizing his mistake.
âI know a nice CafĂŠ Iâve been meaning to visit thatâs nearby, you want to continue this there?â She interrupted, extending her hand. Y/N wasnât stupid, neither was Shoto, she knew he was inexperienced in the romance department and it was clear this was his attempt to woo her.Â
It was cute.Â
Looking up at her, he couldnât help but give her a small smile, which she returned as he took her hand. Shoto was thankful that she hadnât mentioned his poor preparation for the whole âdateâ thing, since he failed to really ask her about it. Thankfully she was just going with it, âI really like you, Y/N.â It was blunt, but it was the truth, and it was Shoto, being himself.Â
Y/N felt her cheeks warm as they approached the CafĂŠ, âI really like you too, Shoto.â He moved in front of her to open the door, âand here we are.â She gestured to the small CafĂŠ as they entered, it was a nice set up and she had been meaning to visit. The fact that it was Shoto that she was visiting with made it all the better.
âWhy donât you go find us somewhere to sit?â He suggested, small smile on his face. âIâll save us a spot in line.â Y/N nodded, and it was clear that she had yet to notice that there was no line, and Shoto had Endeavorâs beautiful black mastercard in hand.Â
Which is how they ended up with every possible drink on their table, some of which were going cold, and the cashier thanking Shoto for the $200 cash tip, laughing quietly side by side in their small corner within the CafĂŠ. Y/N had chosen a more isolated part, though there were already very few people within the store.Â
She looked up from her drink to find Shotoâs eyes on her, an unreadable look in his eyes, but she couldnât help but smile at him, one that he returned. âI like this.â He said, his hand finding hers as he played with her fingers.Â
âMe too.â Y/N replied, watching his movements. She found herself Y/N bringing her hand to Shotoâs cheek, and his eyes met hers momentarily, looking up at her in awe as she leaned forward and pressed a kiss against his lips.
Neither of them knew what they were doing, Shotoâs delayed reaction reminded them both of this fact as he finally kissed back after a few moments. The hand that had once been fidgeting with Y/Nâs free hand, making its way to her bicep to rub circles in the spot.Â
The moment didnât last long, and when she pulled away, his lips were chasing hers, âwe should do this more often.â
A small smile was on his face as he stared at her with what seemed like stars in his eyes, âyeah.â He pressed a kiss to her hand, âwe should.â
A/N: when i tell you season 4 made me CRY
I was trying to imagine what Deku v. Kacchan part 3 would be like and it quickly turned into a whole fic lol! Anyways here it is...
A Hero Distracted
(now on ao3 by pearl_sailboat)
word count: 2,641
tags: manga spoilers, izuku midoriya / katsuki bakugou, angst with happy ending, vigilante deku, deku is going through it, soft bakugou, cursing
summary: takes place right after Deku leaves All-Might and the bento. But he doesn't know that Kacchan will bring him back one way or another.
Deku zipped through the sky, using blackwhip to propel himself forward, so he could put as much distance between himself and his mentor. He didn't look back, he couldn't look back. Whatever scene he'd left behind had to stay behind or else he might lose his nerve and go back to the teacher, the father-figure, who had already given him so much. Deku would not let All-Might give his life too. End of discussion.
He could actually feel the anxiety rolling off the vestiges as they watched him fly across the skyline. They were silent, probably still trying to figure out how to tell him to go back. But it didn't matter what they would eventually say, nothing was going to change Deku's mind. Nothing.Â
Deku was so distracted by his resolve to keep moving forward that he didn't notice the three figures floating ahead until they'd launched themselves at him. It didn't matter though, he was no longer the helpless kid he used to be. He'd left behind everyone in his life and that meant that the only one in danger was him. Yes, he thought as blackwhip shot out of him in all directions, let me be the only one who gets hurt. Let me take all the damage, let everyone else stay safe.Â
The thought was so all-consuming that his landing was a little rough and he flinched a tiny bit when his legs absorbed the shock. But smooth landings were at the bottom of Deku's priorities⌠right now he had to incapacitate these three so he could keep moving. He turned to look at his attackers, still entrapped in blackwhip, but⌠they were already knocked out? And when did they get so many cuts and bruises? Had they been this badly beat up when they first attacked him? Hmpf, maybe they fought over who would get to take me in⌠Guess there must be a pretty great reward but, still, it's oddâŚ
Before he could finish his thought, he felt a searing pain against the side of his face and the explosion made his ears ring. Dammit, what now? He shot out blackwhip in all directions but before he could even get up, he felt a boot kick him in the shoulder. Hard.
"ARGHHHH," he cried as he moved to grab the leg attached to the boot.
He still couldn't see his new attacker but dammit, it had been a really long day and he was starting to get mad. His hand latched on to the leg and he was about to send his attacker flying over his shoulder when he felt another boot smash down on his wrist. This time he yelled so loud it almost drowned out the sound of his wrist breaking. Who was this person? They were certainly more skilled than the last three...
"You done, nerd? Or am I gonna have to break your legs too?"
That voice⌠I know that voice⌠But why? Why is he here? He can't be here⌠He's still h-
"Dammit, ANSWER ME DEKU!!!" Kacchan yelled behind him as more explosions went off, but this time not aimed at him.
Deku still felt like his wrist was on fire but he made himself get up. He turned around to find Kacchan smiling maniacally, suited up in his hero uniform. No, he's still hurt! He can't be out here! Why did he⌠oh. All-Might must've sent him. How could he? When he knows-
"Shitty Deku, you never listen, do you? Do. I. Have. To. Break. Your. Legs. Too?" Kacchan said with a small explosion to emphasize each period.
That's when Deku attacked. He didn't want to hurt Kacchan but he knew that the angry blond would never let him go. For some reason, Kacchan had decided that it was his job to protect Deku even if it cost him his own life. Idiot, he thought, not for some reason. He did it because he had too; you were weak so he had to protect you so that All For One wouldn't take the power of One For All. This is your fault. That's why he had to be strong now. That's why he didn't hesitate to connect his fist to Kacchan's face. That's why he didn't hesitate to grab Kacchan's shirt and send him fly- BOOOOM!!!! DAMMIT, how can he still attack when I'm literally throwing him?!?! And the explosion hurt. so. damn. much. Somehow, Kacchan kept firing even when he slammed into the roof's exit door, using his AP shot to blast Deku in the stomach.Â
"Is that ALL YOU GOT DEKU??? DON'T TELL ME I CAME ALL THIS WAY FOR YOU TO GO EASY ON ME???" Kacchan cackled.Â
He was seriously laughing at a time like this? Deku shook his head, he couldn't afford to get distracted by the Kacchan of it all. He shot out blackwhip again, but Kacchan dodged just like he always had.
"SERIOUSLY, YOU THOUGHT THAT WOULD WORK??? YOU'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO CATCH ME, NERD!!!"Â
Was Kacchan actually⌠enjoying himself?!?!? Deku wasn't surprised that Kacchan would brag about always winning Catch-a-Kacchan but those memories seemed so far away⌠No, stop getting distrac- BOOOOMMM!!!!! Kacchan had blasted him again, Deku needed to get his act together and quickly! He took a deep breath and just as he felt Danger Sense activate, he dodged Kacchan's next explosion and launched himself forward. He grabbed Kacchan's hair and yanked him downwards so he couldn't fire. Deku was about to kick him when he felt a pain in his legs. Kacchan hadn't been able to fire at Deku's face so he'd fired at his legs instead! Nothing seemed to be broken yet but, god it really, really hurt.
"HAHA I TOLD YA I WOULD BREAK YOUR LEGS TOO DEK-" Kacchan didn't get to finish that sentence because Deku sucker punched him so hard he went flying into the closest building.
Kacchan coughed up some blood before grinning wide, "NOW WE'RE TALKING!!! OHHHHHH BUT I'M STILL GONNA KICK YOUR ASS NERD!!!!!"
But Deku was frozen. No⌠No, no, no, no, no, no⌠I - I punched him right where⌠right where⌠I wasn't thinking⌠He coughed up blood⌠No, no, no, NO, NOOO!!!! He pressed his hands to the sides of his face, well the sides of his mask, as he sank to his knees. This is why he had left in the first place. He didn't want anyone else to get hurt. The people he cared about always got hurt. It was all his f- BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Deku's ears were ringing so bad he was pretty sure he would never hear again. The flash of the explosion had blinded him, how long it would last was unclear, but Deku knew he'd been blasted onto his back. He groaned as he registered the shape his body was in, thankful that the adrenaline was keeping him from feeling the full weight of his injuries. He lifted his head as he began to blink away the dark spots in his vision. But immediately his head was pushed back onto the floor of the roof. He heard talking but he still couldn't make out the words so he struggled against the hand. He knew it was useless but struggling was all he could do. So he fought against the hand he still couldn't completely see with everything he had.
"God Deku, give it a rest," he heard when the ringing eventually released his throbbing eardrums.
That's when he noticed that it was Kacchan's hand that held his head down and that Kacchan had him pinned to the ground. Wait, where is my mask? Deku's eyes searched for the mask but before he could find it, Kacchan took it out of his pocket.
"Looking for this? Yeah, you're not getting it back, Deku. This piece of shit lets you lock yourself away and I ain't putting up with it."
Deku rolled his eyes. Why did Kacchan care if he locked himself away? Didn't he realize that if Deku didn't, he'd be too weak to stop All For One?Â
"Why won't you say anything, dammit? Never thought I'd miss your nerdy mumblingâŚ"
Why did Kacchan look sad as he said that? Nah, that must've been in Deku's head. He didn't answer that question either though. They didn't have the most traditional friendship, but Kacchan was the only one who stood a chance of bringing Deku back and that terrified him. He knew Kacchan would tear apart anything he said and would use it to convince him to go home. Right now, Kacchan was as dangerous as Shinsou; one word and Deku would lose.
"So you're mute now, is that it?" Kacchan demanded. "Fine then, I'll talk and you better fucking listen, Deku! I don't give a crap about your whole I-need-to-save-everyone routine but I thought you did! Isn't that the whole fucking reason you left in the first place?"
Deku's eyes widened in curiosity. What was Kacchan talking about? His emerald eyes were only met with a ruby glare.
"You didn't even realize, did you? Those three extras you pummeled back there, they looked like they could've used some saving themselves."
What are you talking about? Saving? Saving from who?
"So I was right then," Kacchan sighed and then looked towards the skyline, away from Deku.
When did Kacchan's voice get so quiet? It reminded Deku of how he had been at the sports festival⌠quiet because he was serious. Why did that tone unnerve Deku so much? Why did those words fill him with⌠dread?
"Deku, you ran away so you could protect people. You ran away so you could focus on defeating All For One. But were you focused when you landed on this roof? No, you weren't... If you had been focused, you wouldn't have had such a rough landing. If you had been focused, you would've remembered to pay attention to blackwhip even if the landing was roughâŚ" Kacchan paused to look back at Deku.
Kacchan's eyes searched Deku's face, piercing into his soul as if searching for something. Then he sighed again. Why does Kacchan look so sad?
"Didn't you even wonder how they got all beat up?"
What is Kacchan saying? Why does he look so sad? Why is⌠why is his voice SO QUIET??? I hate this⌠I don't know what's happening⌠I hate this⌠I want him to go back to yelling⌠I want him to stop looking at me like⌠LIKE THAT!!!!
Suddenly Kacchan's eyes hardened and he moved his hands from Deku's wrists to his face. At first Deku was relieved because maybe Kacchan had heard his thoughts and was going back into angry mode but then he spoke. If Deku had thought that tone was awful before, it was unbearable now.
"You didn't mean for the landing to be so rough," it wasn't a question, "even though you were wearing that stupid mask, only an idiot wouldn't have noticed how you flinched in surprise. It was in that moment that you probably forgot all about blackwhip⌠quirks are like muscles, Deku, you know that. When you flinched, blackwhip flinched too⌠you slammed -"
But Deku didn't hear the rest of that sentence. It all blurred away as the realization sunk in. He was responsible for the cuts and bruises on his attackers. He had knocked them out without even realizing. Because he had been distracted. What was he even distracted by at the time? What could be so impor- Oh. That's when he started crying. It was all too much; if he wasn't failing at one thing, he was screwing up another. He had been so distracted by his own resolve to distance himself from everyone that he hurt other people. It didn't matter that they were villains, they were still people. How could he call himself a hero? He was the least deserving person of that title!
"Kacch-" Deku was crying so hard that he couldn't finish before erupting into more tears.
But it didn't matter because Kacchan sat up and pulled him into a hug. He lost track of how long they sat there like that, hugging each other tight like their lives depended on it. And it did, at least for Deku. He knew that if he let go or if Kacchan did, he wouldn't survive. He cried and cried but Kacchan never pushed him away.Â
"Kacchan, I - I messed up!" he wailed, "I c-couldn't defeat All- All For One. I d-didn't protect my f-friends. A-and I h-hurt those people. I c-can't s-save the world!"
"No, you can't," Kacchan said.
Deku stopped crying, momentarily shocked. Before the weight of those words could settle over him, he felt a slight pain in his side. Kacchan had jabbed him with his finger, but why? Kacchan broke their embrace so he could hold Deku's face in his hands again. God, those eyes were so intense.
"You can't save the world alone. No one can. It's a big fucking world, Deku! So cut the crap and let me help you already!" Kacchan said, those ruby eyes softening just a little.
Deku shook his head, "But you got stabbed last time!"
"'Cuz you kept on fucking going on on your own!" Kacchan said, jabbing his finger in Deku's side again.
"Ouch! That actually hurt Kacchan!"
"Tch! That'll teach you to pull that crap again, nerd!"
"But Kacch-"
"Shut up! Don't you fucking realize that you trying to do this by yourself is what caused this whole fucking mess in the first place? So just. Stop," Kacchan pressed his forehead against Deku's, "And let me help you, you damn nerd."
Maybe it was because he was still in shock from all the explosions, maybe he was a bit delirious from all the crying, or perhaps it was because he was just so goddamn tired of running. Whatever the reason, Deku didn't freak out like he would've thought he would've if someone had told him he'd be this close to Kacchan. It just felt so⌠so right. For the first time in a very, very long time, Deku felt safe.Â
He leaned his own forehead against Kacchan's to return the pressure and said, "Okay."
They had so much more to talk about later but, for now, this one word was enough. It said everything that Deku couldn't yet; it promised that next time he would not be alone. It admitted that he had been wrong to isolate himself from the people he cared about. It accepted that Kacchan was right, that no one could save the world alone. And though Deku didn't yet know it, that one simple word signalled the birth of the partnership that would one day be known around the world as "The Wonder Duo."
"Okay," he said again before leaning his tired head against Kacchan's shoulder and closing his eyes.
Deku fell asleep almost instantly but not before he heard Kacchan's light chuckle. Not before he felt Kacchan lift him up in his strong, steady arms. Not before he felt the faintest of kisses on his forehead. It had been days since he'd gotten to rest so he was completely knocked out when Kacchan carried him off the roof. He slept through the shocked reactions of his classmates when Kacchan appeared at the hospital, carrying Deku in his arms. He slept through it all, but Kacchan would tell him about everything when he woke up. One day, though that day was still very far away, he would tell their children about how he'd lost his way and how Kacchan was the one who saved him. He'd tell them about how they took turns saving each other so they could save the world. One day, Deku would smile as he told their children the story of how he and Kacchan became the greatest heroes ever.
Request by @loxbbg:Â Drummer Bakugo x Lead singer Reader (ngl saw a TikTok and couldnât help it) and they have a really lowkey relationship and the reader is singing bad romance and she goes up to Bakugo and is basically like singing to him he like drops his sticks mid play and kisses her sending the crowd crzy and there other band mates (the rest of bakusquard) are like called it
A/N: If anybody asks, this isnât one of my biggest fantasies. Also, no, I didnât listen to Bad Romance a couple times before this to try and nail the âole Tik Tok high note. Anywho, I love this idea! Enjoy this trainwreck of a concert!
Genre: female reader, musician/band au, swearing cause itâs Bakugou, established relationship, pg-13 due to some vulgar-ish things and a suggestive ending, the fans losing their minds over you and Bakugou đĽâ¤ď¸
âYou are such an asshole,â you groaned, pushing your boyfriend on the couch.
âYou are such a bitch,â he growled, pulling you onto to his lap to engage in a messy make-out session.
It was the U.A. International Music Festival, and your group, known as The Chaos Crew, was headlining the event. Today was the first performance, ushering in the exclusive guests who paid extra for V.I.P. status. To say the least, Katsuki Bakugou, your boyfriend and drummer, was a lot more annoying than usual. Some examples were how the kisses you shared were rougher, the hand holding was almost painful with how tight he squeezed, and the mic checks were filled with intense staring. However, the band didnât know you two were together, making the situation much worse.
Somehow, your other friends turned bandmates Eijirou Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, Hanta Sero, and Mina Ashido agreed to pursue the dream with you when you first offered up the idea. Bakugou took more convincing. He thought you were the most idiotic person on the planet. His superiority complex only became worse when you asked him if he could be the drummer for your new group. He agreed after hearing you beg for a couple weeks straight, which began the slippery slope of flirtatious tension.Â
Despite you two being together all the time, the flirting wasnât obvious. Bakugou would notice your skirts when they were just a bit shorter, and you would notice when his shirts when they got just a bit tighter. Neither of you ever let the other one know, though. Both of you despised each other so much that it would be the death of either of you for your secrets to get out.
One day, this changed during a photoshoot for your first magazine article. A rival band, known as The Pros, was at the shoot, and their lead singer, Deku, was asking you questions whenever you werenât working. You didnât mind it. You actually found it flattering how interested he was in your vocal range. However, after watching Deku âflirtâ with you, Bakugou dragged you to the green room.
Slamming the door, he turned around and asked, âAre you fucking blind, (y/n)?â
âExcuse me?â you scoffed.
âYou heard me. Heâs flirting with you for fuckâs sake! Tell him to just leave before I knock it into him.â
His overprotectiveness shocked you. You were more than confused. You werenât that pretty, so Deku couldnât be flirting with you. Your hair was well put together, your makeup was done nicely, and you were dressed with just a tad bit of sexiness, but you still looked average. It didnât add up.
âDeku is not flirting with me,â you replied, rolling your eyes. âHeâs just assessing the competition.â
âHeâs staring at your tits and waiting for your little skirt to flip up,â Bakugou replied, clenching his fist.
âUgh, stop being so vulgar!â
âIâm being honest, princess.â
Marching over to him, you met his gaze. Waiting for him to continue with another statement, you stood in front of him and didnât cower under his stare. Instead of getting an earful, you felt pressure on your lips. He kissed you, and you loved it. You loved it too much. He was like a drug, and your first hit left you wanting more.
You ended up spending the next 30 minutes in the green room making out and telling each other how much you hated it. It was true love, and after this experience, you began dating each other in private. Your family knew and so did his, but your bandmates didnât. At least, you both were in agreement about that.
As time went on, The Chaos Crew began rising in the charts. After releasing 3 number one singles, you started touring and gaining a much bigger fan base. The Chaos Children, or what your fanbase called themselves, began doing every celebrityâs nightmare in a matter of weeks: shipping. The most popular ship within your band was, you guessed it, you and Bakugou. This was a running joke between Denki and Sero, but little did they know it was already a sailing ship. This only made you keep your relationship even more private.
Now, back to the U.A. International Music Festival. The feverish kiss ended, leaving you and your hot-headed boyfriend panting messes. Leaning into him, you nuzzled your face in his neck. You pressed a kiss to his collarbone before stopping to just inhale his scent.
âSince when are you so needy?â Bakugou joked, mocking you.
âSince when did you start acting like a child?â you snapped back.
You yelped, realizing Bakugou had slapped your exposed thigh. Whenever you both were performing, he felt the need to have his hands on you at all times. The band and fanbase, however, couldnât know about you two. It would be too detrimental to your career.
âWhen am I gonna see you in my room?â Bakugou asked, rubbing where a red mark was forming due to his slap.
âTonight,â you coyly replied.
âOh really? Will you be wearing my favorite little outfit?â
âOf course, I will.â
Suddenly, a loud knock interrupted your rendezvous. Brushing yourself off, you leaped off of Bakugouâs lap and stood up as formally as possible. Of course, you two had snuck off together. You couldnât just tell everyone you were going somewhere with Bakugou alone. However, you were relieved to hear a familiar voice on the other side.
âBakugou? (y/n)?â Mina called, waiting for either of you to reply.
âCome on in, babe,â you replied, saying it a little too quickly.
Mina opened the door and smirked when she saw you two. She had her suspicions about the two of you, but they were never confirmed nor denied. She knew she might never get her ship to sail, but she would never tell either of you that.
âWhat do you want, Bug Eyes?â Bakugou grumbled.
âNot much,â Mina shrugged, âbut I have news. We have a schedule change.â
At this, Bakugou exchanged a look with you. A schedule change during the U.A. Festival was like waiting outside of a store for days for a limited-edition item then leaving and never buying it. Someone dropped their act for later that night. There was no other possibility.
âSero got an update from Shinsou,â Mina stated, âand it looks like Deku broke his ankle from a stunt during their last show. They canât perform tonight.â
Bakugou smirked, and you punched him in the arm. Ever since the photoshoot, he despised Deku. It was as if they were born to be rivals, which made you laugh a little.
âWhatâs the plan?â you questioned, knowing that Shinsou, one of the event directors, had already made one.
âWeâre taking half of their slot,â Mina smiled, shoving a set list into Bakugouâs hands. âThe other half is going to Itsuka Kendo, the new solo artist. Sheâs going first, and then weâre up.â
âWe planning on singing from a particular era?â Bakugou asked, focusing more on the set list rather than the conversation.
âThey donât want us singing our songs,â Mina replied, causing both you and Bakugou to choke on air. âThey want us to cover popular music.â
âWe have no idea why, though. Itâs kind of stupid, if you ask me,â Denki complained, walking in with Kirishima and Sero hot on his tail.
Upon their entrance, the boys came over to give you a hug and congratulate you on the earlier show. It went off without a hitch, and they insisted they give you credit since it was due. However, when a question about you and Bakugou running off came up, Bakugou immediately stepped in and said he wanted to jot down some lyric ideas. A game of playful banter began and went on for about 5 minutes before Shinsou entered the room.
âWell, itâs good to see that our fill-ins are ready for tonight,â he chuckled, walking over to place a hand on Denkiâs shoulder. âYou guys ready?â
âObviously,â Bakugou grinned. âHow bad can it be? Weâre just performing covers. Itâll be just like the old days.â
Immediately, your first performances and venues came to mind. Run-down bars and covers were normal for a few months before getting signed on by Shouta Aizawa, president of 1-A Records. After that, you were able to write your own music and live your dream.
âYeah,â you chimed in, moving closer to Bakugou, âwe can perform the last cover set we did before we got signed.â
âHell yeah!â Kirishima yelled, pumping his fist in the air. âThe Bad Romance Set was always my favorite.â
Everyone was in agreement. Shinsou trusted you all enough to bid you farewell for a few hours before you were called back on stage. The Bad Romance Set was, simply, the best cover set The Chaos Crew ever played. It was a tribute to Lady Gaga, and it celebrated her amazing career. Mina was the BeyoncĂŠ to your Gaga on Telephone. Kirishima was the killer guitarist during Shallow. Bakugou was the best drummer on the planet during Bad Romance, the huge finale piece of the set. It was the perfect set to get the crowd hyped and into the show.
Soon enough, the show was about to start. Itsuka was on her last song, a personal tribute to her ex-boyfriend. You were gussied up in all black, sporting a short mini skirt, a low-cut shirt, and a leather jacket. It was perfect. You looked like you could kill anyone that crossed your path, and you probably could. It only attracted your boyfriend even more to the prospect of getting handsy before the show.
âCome on, sexy,â he growled, kissing under you ear. âLetâs do it. Weâve got a few minutes.â
âNo,â you responded, pushing him away. âWe have to stay focused. You know our ground rules.â
Rolling his eyes, he kept trying and trying and trying. After denying him multiple times, he smacked your ass before sulking away to sit at his drum set on the dark stage. Once he did that, the rest of your bandmates followed his lead and walked on stage. The lights went up, causing the crowd to lose their minds over your presence. Glancing back at your boyfriend, you nodded your head to signal him to start the first song.
The act went wonderful. When you sang to the audience, you could tell the hardcore Gaga fans from the fakes. However, no one seemed disappointed in the set. Everyone thought it was fun and easy to dance to. It was very clear, though, that everyone was waiting on one song: Bad Romance. After 25 minutes of Gaga hits, you glanced back at Bakugou and nodded your head again.
Once the drums began for the final song, the rest of the band chimed in to start the melody. Immediately, the crowd recognized it and sang the opening verse with you. Mina chimed in with her amazing voice to layer your vocals. Sero and Denki had the electric guitar and synth timed perfectly with one another, which only added to Kirishimaâs bass. Bakugou, of course, played his drums with passion and never took his eyes off of you.
Once the first bridge of the song arrived, your bandmates began growing with excitement. Your singing ability was always incredible to them, but the first time you nailed the added high note in the final chorus of Bad Romance, they knew you would be their lead vocalist. The moment was fast approaching, and you took the mic from the stand.Â
Finishing up the second bridge, you walked around to personally serenade each of your bandmates. First, Mina and you made sure to twirl each other, causing her to chuckle just a bit. You sauntered over to Denki, jamming out on an air guitar to compliment his real one. Next, Sero was graced with your presence, and he added a riff to impress the crowd. Kirishima was surprised, and you both exchanged flirtatious winks at one another. However, these actions annoyed Bakugou to no end. His blood was boiling, and his jealousy was rising. He needed to show these extras exactly who you belonged to.
The final chorus began, and you arrived at Bakugouâs drum set. To tease the fans just a bit, you decided you were going to belt the high note right next to your boyfriend. Besides, this entire song was about him and you. This song was the most important one in the whole set because of that. You knew it would give the audience the best reaction and moment to capture on film.
I want your love, and all your lover's revenge You and me could write a bad romance Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh Caught in a bad romance
The crowd went wild. A constant chant of â(y/n)â was repeated over and over again and filled the venue. The end of the song was close, and Bakugouâs patience was running thin. You didnât move, stuck next to his drum set. Whether you were trying to prove a point or your affection for him made his brain hurt. All he knew was that he couldnât keep it a secret anymore.
âWant your bad romance,â you sang, finishing off the song as dramatically as possible.
Leaping out of his seat, Bakugou threw down his sticks and bounded over to you before wrapping his arms around you. He pressed his lips to yours, claiming you in front of everyone watching. You fumbled with the mic before successfully flicking the off switch and let it fall to the ground. You wrapped your arms around his neck, melting into him. He tapped your hip, signaling you to jump. You happily obliged, basking in the way his calloused hands gripped your thighs.
Screams filled the venue. Fangirls cried about the way Bakugou held you while others cried because he was holding you and not them. Paparazzi snapped as many photos as possible, hoping to capture the best photo that could be put up on TMZ. Parents tried to cover their childrenâs eyes because they thought the scene was so vulgar. Oh yeah, you guys were definitely going to be trending on Twitter.
In a flash, the lights went dark across the entire venue. The screams didnât cease, even when an announcement came over the loudspeakers. It wasnât heard the first time, probably since you and Bakugou broke everyone there. However, speaker volume could be raised, and the announcement could be heard through the crowd on the second try.
âAttention festival guests,â the lovely voice began, âtonightâs performances are over. Thank you for attending the V.I.P. exclusive day. We hope to see you all tomorrow for the first official day. Have a wonderful night and stay rockinâ!â
Before groans of protest could be heard, your band was escorted off stage and immediately into your limousine. Your were able to successfully avoid paparazzi, but that didnât mean you and Bakugou were safe. You had your friends, and they were all nosy in their own ways.
âIt was the photoshoot,â Kirishima began.
âYeah! Come on, you wouldnât stop glaring at Deku, Bakugou!â Mina grinned.
âWe knew you both were together,â Sero smirked.
âYeah, come on! You think we didnât notice when you guys would run off to lock lips and do who knows what else?â Denki added on.
Bakugou was more than pissed off. After the onslaught of statements brought to the table, Bakugou effectively shut them up by yelling, âIf any of you touch my girl, Iâll your kick your asses. Got it?â
âWhatever you say,â Kirishima replied, flashing a grin and a thumbs-up.
âJust use protection!â Mina reminded, forcing some questionable hand gestures and noises from Denki and Sero.
After 15 minutes of torture, the limo arrived at the five-star hotel. In a matter of seconds, Bakugou had opened the door and picked you up bridal style so he could carry you up to the room. You had all booked the penthouse, since the U.A. Festival was such a big deal. You each had your own room, but you figured you two might have free reign of the whole place for while due to Minaâs previous innuendo.
Once you arrived in Bakugouâs room, he plopped you down on the bed. Smirking at you, he removed his shirt and went to get something a bit more comfortable out of his suitcase. You couldnât help but look at the beautiful muscles that adorned his body. It made you feel hot and a little flustered.
âGo change,â he commanded, turning around to face you again.
You chuckled and replied, âOh, come on. You know me.â
You slipped off your leather jacket, bending forward just a bit to let him gaze at your cleavage. He licked his lips and threw down the extra shirt he had grabbed. Walking over to you, he roughly grabbed your hips and pulled your body into his.
Leaning forward, you smirked and whispered in his ear, âI already have the set on. Wanna help me get out of it?â
Sleepless (LoV x Reader)
Pairing:Â League of Villains x Reader, platonic relationship
Shigaraki, Toga, Twice, Kurogiri, Dabi x reader
@riarora messaged me with the request:Â "So I was thinking platonic LOV x child reader (You can make them 18 if you're more comfortable, but I was thinking more like 14-15)The reader (I'll refer to them as she/her, but you can make it gender neutral) has really bad insomnia so every night, she would be pacing around, doing anything and everything to make sure no dark thoughts take over. Usually, none of the LOV would bat an eye, but considering the fact that she's a child, they feel sympathy, so they indirectly try to get her to fall asleep. Like, sending her on extra missions (always with protection of course) or changing her normal tea with sleeping tea, or maybe just straight up telling her to sleep."
a/n: Thanks for the request sweetie! I hope you like it~
Wrote this while listening to a Shinsou playlist on Spotify and it was pretty chill to listen to, if yâall want the link you can comment or dm me and Iâll send it.  Something different, but I like how it turned out. It's twice as long as I thought it would end up being, but I think it fits.  It's a comfort story that I hope you guys will read even if you don't normally read stuff for the villains. I really like it, I hope you guys read it if you need some comforting. Enjoy~
Like a lot of people, I don't have the nicest thoughts. Â Most nights, I'm trying everything to block them out and find the sweet release of sleep, whether it's trying to consciously think of other things to block them out, escaping out of my sheets to pace or run in place inside this small room I was given, or getting up to get a snack. Â Unsurprisingly, none of it works. Â The rest of the League constantly tease me about my dark circles making me look more villainous all I do is smile, because at least it means I'm part of something now. Â I would ask them to get me something to busy myself, like a sketch book or a notebook to keep me busy at night, but they aren't my parents; they have no obligation to take care of me and they've already give me a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in.
Little by little, the perceived barrier between us broke down before I realized it.
It started when I took one of my late night trips to the kitchen only to see the light on already. Â Toga's crooked but innocent smile beams up at me as she twirls a knife in her hand, leaning against the counter. Â "You're up too, hmm~? Â Wanna take a trip with me?"
We ended up shrugging on our jackets and masks, walking into the dark, brisk night to the nearest grocery store. Â "You waited until 2 AM to get pomegranates?" I raised an eyebrow at her zipping straight to the produce section of the market.
"I didn't wanna go alone~" Toga casually responded in her singsongy voice. Â "A little girl like me shouldn't be out alone at night. Â Besides, late night shopping in a practically empty supermarket is the best time to go. Â It's super creepy!" Â She giggles, filling a plastic bag with three large fruits.
We returned to our hideout and she asked me to help her de-seed them. Â I slide in next to her, taking the knife out of her hand. Â Not like I had anything better to do. Â What was I gonna do, sleep? Â Sure, okay.
She sliced the fruits in half and held her hands over a large, empty container, using just her hands to push the seeds off the bitter white core, humming to herself. Â "Are you sure there isn't a more...strategic way to do this?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at the mess she was making of her hands.
Toga just giggled and held my stare with her cat-like yellow eyes. Â "When it gets all over your fingers, it kind of looks like blood doesn't it?" She shivered in ecstasy as she licked the scarlet juice running down her hands and the knife she cut them with. Â "Mmm, so sweet."
While I continued, trying to avail to be as clean as possible, taking sips of the tea she made for us while we work. Â I chanced a few tastes myself, chuckling at my own hands. Â "You're right, it looks like we've commit murder."
"Right?" she chirped with the widest grin, "Isn't it fun?"
I made a better point to get more juice on my fingers before curling my fingers grossly towards her. Â "I want your heart, Toga. Â Give it to me!" I growled.
She giggled and held one of my wrists so she can lick some of the juice off. Â "Too bad you can't have it."
After we finished gathering the seeds into the bowl, we sat on the couch, munching on them by the handful and finishing our drinks. Â My eyelids kept drooping as I drank my tea.
"We should go on adventures more often," Toga purred as I near the end, taking my cup, laying me down, and covering my body with a blanket before petting my head. Â Her voice singing, "Sleep well, (Y/n)" was the last thing I heard before drifting off. Â It was the best night's sleep I'd gotten in a long while.
.
A few days later, Kurogiri stopped me from heading to bed while the rest went off. Â "I heard you and Toga up late a few nights ago. Â Why don't you help me clean up before going up?"
I agreed, mostly because I would be awake with my thoughts anyway. Â He had me shining his glasses, climbing up a ladder to dust the top shelves of his bar, wiping down the counters, and organizing his liquor.
"Have some of this, child." Â He set down a cup of tea and saucer on the counter while I was organizing his top shelf liquor, the clock flashing 1:57 AM. Â "You've been a big help."
I climbed down carefully and stare down at the translucent, peach colored liquid carefully.
He noticed my cautiousness. Â "How are you adjusting?"
I tilted the cup around, swishing the liquid around before holding it up to my lips. Â "It's better than where I was before, thank you."
"I'm glad you're settling in and getting along with the rest."
"It's just Toga so far." Â I sipped a good portion of the hot liquid, easing down my through smooth as the honey I can taste that he added.
"It'll take time for the others to warm up to you. Â Shigaraki and Dabi especially don't take to strangers that easily, but they'll come around." Â His cold, portal enclosed hand rested on my head. Â "We're happy to take you in as our family, (Y/n)."
I smiled at his assurance of me, nodding in gratitude, but still hesitant about feeling that I fit in here.
We talked for a while more until I finished his tea and he sent me off to bed. Â Though reluctant - I even offered to do more cleaning up to keep myself there - he insisted I leave. Â I trudge to my room, the exhaustion in my bones and muscles more apparent than usual. Â I know this old trick; even when I'm fatigued, my thoughts still keep me up. Â But as I ease under the blanket and close my eyes, I feel myself pulled down into sleep without interference. Â I started thinking there was something in the tea.
.
It took a while for Shigaraki to come around, as Kurogiri said. Â He heard the rustling of me rolling around in bed on his way back from getting a glass of water from the kitchen. Â "Hey, you still awake?"
I turned over and sat up. Â "Am I bothering you? Â I'm sorry-"
"You wanna come play games with me?" Â It was an unexpected question. Â He never talked much to me so I figured he wanted to keep his distance.
But I still agreed, ending up in his dark room where only the TV cast its artificial light over us. Â He pulled up another pillow for me to sit with him, leaning back against the mattress and box-spring stack. Â He resumed his game, some kind of RPG with amazing art and storytelling. Â The main character had jet black hair and traveled with three other guys of varying talents and personalities. Â They seemed to have a great relationship together as they trekked across their virtual world in a fancy car. (1000 brownie points if you know which game i'm referencing)
There was a hilarious part in the game where the crew rode on the backs of these fluffy, yellow birds that were the size of ostriches. Â "What's the point of this part?" I asked curiously.
Shigaraki beamed at the screen, his chapped lips spreading in joy. Â "It's just something you always have to do in these games."
My eyes remained glued to the screen. Â Shigaraki wouldn't ask me if I wanted to play after one time, which I appreciated. Â I'm not too good at playing games, I prefer watching other people play them from the sidelines. Â I followed the complicated story line, impressed with how fleshed out the world is, the detail in the art, and the power system interface. Â If I were better at gaming, I'd understand how amazing it would feel playing it; I was immersed in it even as a spectator.
The game got to a cave-crawling segment. Â The eased up voice acting, ambient noise, and dimmed lighting made my eyes heavy. Â I didn't want to fall asleep in Shigaraki's room, but I also knew that I wouldn't be able to sleep if I went back to mine.
"You can sleep if you want. Â Get comfortable."
Though he didn't particularly use a motherly voice like Kurogiri, I understood he was trying to come off the same way. Â I ended up laying on my head on my pillow, sprawling onto the floor on my stomach, the noise of the game slowly lulling me off to sleep. Â In the morning, I would wake to a blanket pulled over my body. Â It somehow became a weekly occurrence; we wouldn't talk to each other, but the silence was comfortable. Â It was reassuring that I didn't always need that strange tea to put me to sleep.
.
Late nights with Twice are probably my favorite. Â He's like a huge dad, or much older big brother. Â I connected with him on a more emotional level than the rest. Â If I found myself in the kitchen rummaging for snacks, he'd come up and pick out a bunch and sit us at the table with some tea.
"I have trouble sleeping too sometimes," he admitted, popping some chips in his mouth. Â "I was lonely before I found these guys. Â I had no one but myself, and the many versions of myself weren't the most forgiving on me either."
I stared down at my glass of warmed milk. Â "So your thoughts were actually told out loud to you all the time?" I whispered softly.
"Yup." Â He blinked before waving his hands in front of his face wildly. Â "But that doesn't mean I had it worse than you, that's not what I'm saying at all! Â Your problems are just as valid and important and-!"
"It's okay, I understand."
He offered a sympathetic lopsided smile. Â "I know you've been through a lot, kid, and it probably feels like a lot and nothing at the same time. Â The times when it feels like a lot will hurt, and that's okay. Â You'll get through it and grow up to deal with it in your own way. Â And there is a light at the end of the tunnel, believe me. Â You can't see it now, but it's there. Â Keep fighting through it." Â He touched my hand over the glass. Â "I'm here for you, we're here for you."
I felt like crying, suddenly choked up by the bitter nostalgia of missing my parents. Â "You'd be a great Dad, Twice." Â I tried to cover for my tears and unsteady voice by clearing my throat and rubbing my eyes.
He hummed in response. Â "I've always wanted a kid. Â Things never ended up that way though."
I found myself finally sobbing at his misfortune piling on top of mine. Â "That's really shitty actually," I choked out.
He handed me a tissue to wipe my face with. Â "Let it out, kid. Â Sometimes it's good to just cry it out."
And I did, until I finally sobbed myself to sleep at the table, and Twice picked up and returned me to my bed, tucking me in like the soft dad he should've been.
.
Dabi remained the hard nose one, keeping his distance and looking down on me. Â Like Shigaraki, walked by my room while I was tossing around, but he stood over my bed. Â "Hey. Â If you don't go to sleep, I'm putting you to work."
Put me to work he did, sending me out to fetch him snacks, cards, or cigarettes. Â Once, he decided to join me and we ended up on the roof of our abandoned building after coming back from the convenience store. Â The stars already dusted the sky as Dabi lit the cigarettes with his blue flames just for fun, watching them disintegrate into ash in front of his eyes. Â I never knew how to get him to open up, he's too gruff for me to start a conversation with him, so I stuck to being mesmerized by his flames.
"What's on your mind that you can't sleep, kid?" he finally asked, breaking the awkward silence and cutting off his quirk to stare me hard in the eyes.
"N-Nothing." Â I hated to admit it, but I'm scared of Dabi the most. Â Both him and Shigaraki can end my life in a fraction of a second, but Dabi overall has the scarier aura. Â "Just...thinking."
After a few more moments of braving his stare, he looked up. Â "Yeah, we all do that a lot, don't we? Â Us damn human can't help but think. Â It'd be nice if we can pull the cord sometimes, yeah?"
"I guess," I answered carefully.
He studied me again out of the corner of his eye before flickering back up. Â "Do you ever think that's why none of us survive well alone? Â We need other people to distract us all the time because then we'd get stuck in our heads, and we all know how dangerous that can be if we're stuck there for too long. Â It never ends well." Â He adjusts himself, placing his hands behind his head to rest his neck. Â "We all got demons, kid. Â It's what makes us stronger, but you gotta grow from them first. Â And I guess that's what the rest of us are for, so if you need us, you know what to do."
It was with Dabi that I realized he had a point. Â I'm not alone anymore and none of the others seem to think of me as a stranger or a stupid little kid they have to be responsible for. Â I'm a member of this group now, I should rely on them as support, just not in the traditional way.
How I ultimately ended up here doesn't help any of the awful things I tell myself or what happened to me, but being here definitely helps, especially when I'm surrounded by people who subtly share solidarity with for now.
Trust Me?
Bakugou x reader / Shinsou x reader
Warning: Hurt/comfort, Angst, Mentions of cheating, Happy Ending?
Word Count: 6.5k
Summary: You love your boyfriend more than anything but it seems he might not feel the same way anymore. When the same friend that planted the seed of doubt ends up your shoulder to cry on where do you go from there.Â
Authors note: Iâve been dealing with a lot of stuff and this was kind of my self indulgence fic. Please Enjoy!
P.S: I was thinking about jumping on the kinktober bandwagon but Iâm worried I canât do kink justice. Maybe look out for some quick one shots if I do. I am also having to rewrite the fourth chapter of Burn Away With Me because the original file somehow ended up freaking deleted (note to self and others always back up files or make a copy).Â
----------------------------------
Saturdays were meant for relaxation, for hanging out with friends without a worry. The weekend was meant to provide a chance to shed your hero uniform and trade it for a cute comfy outfit. Well thatâs how weekends should be, thatâs what you wish you were able to do. Instead you sat on your couch scrolling through your phone watching your friends have fun without you. Pictures of dancing and drinking continuously pass as your fingers move absentmindedly. A picture of Mina taking shots followed by photos of Kaminari on a tabletop. This always happened, you had been missing out for weeks now. However, this problem went deeper than missing a few weekend hangouts. Your boyfriend, whom you had been with for almost three years, had been canceling plans with you for the last few months. Every time you both had a day off, he always got called in or he had made previous plans. It was starting to get old. Had he always been so flaky? Had you just not noticed before or was this new. Either way you were now fully aware of his behavior and how little attention you received from him. Your screen lit up with messages from friends telling you to âget your ass to the clubâ immediately. Oh, how you wanted too. You wished you were wearing a skimpy outfit grinding against your besties laughing and enjoying yourself. Instead of getting into your club attire you put your phone onto the coffee table. Your back hits the cushions behind you as you fall backward. A sigh slips out and youâre ready to reevaluate your life. What kind of relationship was this? You felt like you were alone, and it was starting to seep into your conscious letting that little voice grow louder and louder with doubt and self-deprivation. It took every ounce of your being to reject the thoughts, to lull yourself back into a false sense of security. Your phone ringing disrupted your thoughts good or bad.
âHey, I was just thinking about you! I miss-â You didnât get to finish your sentence before the deep grouchy voice of Katsuki Bakugou interrupted you.
âI wonât be home tonight. Donât wait up for me, just eat dinner and go to bed.â He sounded like he had been sounding. He sounded tired with a swirl of irritation and it took a lot to convince yourself that it wasnât toward you. You had to bite your bottom lip to prevent yourself from screaming at him for doing this again. You loved him, did so much for him, that it hurt for him to just blow you off. What was even worse was he didnât even tell you why he wasnât coming home. He just expected you to turn in early without even an explanation. You wanted to cuddle or go out with friends and he wanted you to spend the night alone.
âSuki⌠Why arenât you coming home? You said last week that you were going to try to come home early.â A growl of frustration could be heard on the other side causing you to tense up. You knew you were upsetting him but that wasnât fair. He had no right to be upset with you since you were only asking him a simple question and stating a fact. He had promised you that he would start coming home early to spend time with you. You knew that being a hero was hard, you were one. However, you also knew when someone was just making excuses and thatâs what this was becoming.
âChrist woman! I have work to do! I said I would try, and I have tried. Obviously, I couldnât make it home tonight so just listen for once and donât wait up.â No chance of rebuttal, he had hung up immediately after snapping. That was it. The last straw. You let the tears you had been suppressing fall freely. Your phone was aggressively tossed to the ground and unfortunately your body followed it. Your knees hit the ground first before your clenched fist dug into the carpet. Your head buried itself into the carpet before a scream escaped. It was one of filled so much pent up emotion. A scream that needed to be freed, to help release you from this torture he was putting you through. You sat back on the balls of your feet, your hands swiping at your eyes rubbing the tears into your skin. You cried more causing your hands to rub harder, your skin stung and burned from the aggressive motion. Your phone chimed bring your attention back to it. Your hand held the device hoping for an apology but instead read the newest text from Mina. It was another invite, but the party had moved from the club to Yaoyorozuâs house. A smirk replaced your previous forlorn look. You stood up from the floor letting all sadness be hidden away by pettiness. If he could ditch you like that, go back on a promise so easily then you could go against him. He wanted you to stay home like a good girl, but you didnât feel like being that good girl. You had never changed so fast in your life. Your pajamas were traded in for a formfitting outfit, one your kept for special Mina party occasions. You looked at yourself in the mirror with gleaming confidence. You outfit accentuated all your nooks and crannies. You looked smoking hot and with some simple yet stunning makeup you were ready to go. A quick text to Mina and you left the cold lonely apartment
--------------------
The party wasnât over the top and thankfully everyone there was a former classmate. You waved as a few people turned to look at you. Sero had to do a double take to make sure he was witnessing reality and not a ghost. You rolled your eyes as his tape grabbed your wrist before a swift yank had you in his arms. A soft chuckle escaped from your lips that were buried in his chest. He smelled like cedar and felt warm. You let your body relax against his as he let you go but kept his hand on your waist. Kaminari had abandoned his post next to Jiro and rushed over. Before he could try and snatch you away from Sero a new pair of arms circled you. Mina was smiling against you neck as she stuck his tongue out at a now pouting Kaminari.
âIâm so glad you actually decided to make it tonight. We were starting to think you hated us.â You shook your head at the fake hurt in her voice. The boys werenât helping since they nodded along with Mina. You pulled out his grasp backing away so you could see all three of them. They really had changed in the short span of time since you had seen them. Sero was rocking a cool new undercut while Kaminari seemed a little more built. Mina had also cut her hair, but you knew that since you basically stalked your friends.
âIâm so sorry guys. Itâs been crazy, work and home have been a little hectic.â A scoff could be heard behind you. Everyoneâs eyes shifted to Uraraka who had her arms crossed. Midoriya stood behind her awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. Urarakaâs puffed out cheeks mimicked that of a chipmunk. You raised a brow at her strange behavior. âDid I say something to offend you.â
âNo but why lie? We all know that the reason we donât see you anymore is because of Bakugou.â Your eyes widened at her straightforward accusation. You looked at Midoriya waiting for him to comment but he remained silent, probably in fear of getting involved. You narrow your eyes trying to hold some dignity. âBakugou and I are fine okay. I just havenât had the time to make it to any hang outs because I spend time with him.â
Now everyone was looking at you. For being the only sober person in the room you were sounding like the drunk one. Everyone knew that Bakugou had been blowing off plans with you. It was inevitably that they found out since most everyone talks, and things get around. A sigh that matched the one back at your apartment came out. You looked defeated as you returned to Seroâs side. He rubbed your side while Mina shooed everyoneâs attention off you. âYou donât have to talk about it but weâre here for you.â
âThanks guysâŚâ You closed your eyes trying to let your emotions settle before returning to the fun party you had yet to enjoy and partake in. When you reopened your eyes, a smile followed. You were going to have fun even if it killed you. Mina squealed when you asked for a drink and before you knew it one turned to three. Uraraka had ditched her sour attitude and replaced it with giggles as the two of you danced together. You broke free from Uraraka as you watched Kirishima walk through the front door. You didnât even give the boy a chance to take off his coat before you were tackling him. He was shocked to see you at the party just like the others had been.
âWhat are you doing out so late? Isnât Bakubroâs bedtime at 8pm.â Kirishima was able to get a laugh out of you along with the other members of the Bakusquad.
âYeah his bedtime would be 8pm if he ever came home. Heâs always working late. I never see him anymore.â As the words left your lips you felt the air grow cold. Tension was evident. You froze as you felt your blood run cold. There was an unspoken understanding, but you knew that Kirishima wasnât going to remain silent. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly which was accompanied by a shaky laugh that turned into him clearing his throat.
âI might be wrong but Bakugou hasnât been working late⌠I was one of the last people to leave the office. Bakugou left at his usual timeâŚâ You wanted to pretend to be ignorant, but this couldnât be swept under the rug. You couldnât act like you hadnât just been told that your boyfriend had been lying to you for months. Oh god your stomach began to churn, and you pushed passed him and through the front door. You ran into someone before turning and throwing up into one of the planters. Sero and Mina ran after you. Kirishima stood in the doorway feeling guilty but also pissed knowing that the person at fault was his best friend. You felt a comforting hand on your back rubbing it gently. You assumed Mina but when you finally turned around your eyes met with lavender ones. A broken smile cracked across your face. He held his arms open and you ran into them without hesitation. Shinsou had always been there for you when you were both attending UA, but time was cruel, and you couldnât remember the last time you felt secure in his tight embrace. You sobbed and he just let you. Your friends stood by watching with conflicting emotions.
âWhat the hell did that asshole do now.â Shinsou was never one to speak to you like you were fragile; he was always blunt and honest. He also never approved of your relationship so of course heâd blame your current state on Bakugou. You wanted to tell Shinsou but couldnât get the words out. Thankfully you had friends who could speak for you. Sero was the one who spoke up. âShe found out that Bakugou hasnât been staying at work late. She is obviously thinking the worst but heâs probably training or visiting his parents.â
âBakugou? I just saw him at that fancy restaurant that we went to for Midoriyaâs birthday. He was there with some busty bimbo. They seemed pretty interested in the conversation they were sharing. She must be a client or some woman after an interview.â Shinso knew exactly what he was doing when he told you about the mystery woman. He hated hurting you, but it was a necessary evil. Shinsou had always had feelings for you even before he understood them. You were always by his side cheering him on and now he was going to do the same for you. Before he could build you back up, heâs having to let you crumble under the lies Bakugou told you. Your eyes shimmered with unshed tears and a storm was brewing. Your fists were clenched, and your friends hesitated to approach you. You swiftly turned around walking passed everyone back inside before grabbing your keys and leaving. You could hear your friends yelling for you, but you never stopped. Shinsou watched your car drive off into the distance. He knew this was going to end terribly but he would be there to catch you. Thankfully since the ground was already starting to give out.
----------------------
âWhere the hell have you been!â Bakugou almost dropped his keys as you tried to quietly enter your shared apartment. He turned growling at your accusatory tone. He slammed the door before turning to you. In the light that was cast from the hallway you could see his hair was disheveled, his shirt was wrinkled, and you could swear he smelled a little sweeter than usual. The signs all shone brightly in front of you. Bakugou approached you ready to start an argument over your attitude but stopped when he saw your eyes. They were sunken in, bloodshot, and lifeless. He had never seen you like this. His expression softened before he reached up to cup your cheek. His hand never got to touch you before it was smacked away. âWhat the fuck Y/n!â
âWho is she⌠Actually, I donât want to know. I just want to know why.â Bakugou wasnât expecting your accusation so he couldnât help but look shocked. Guilt seemed to creep over him before it was covered up with denial and anger. He scoffed and walked past you toward the bedroom. He didnât make it before you had spun him around yelling this time. âWHY THE HELL DID YOU CHEAT!â
âSHUT THE HELL UP WOMAN! I DIDNâT DO SHIT! Who the fuck filled your head with such idiotic thoughts? Did you go out with those idiots again? Was it raccoon eyes or maybe that shitty Deku. Whoever told you that is a liar and needs a fucking hobby?â Bakugou yanked his arm away before heading into the bathroom to shower, no doubt to hide the evidence of his infidelity. You wanted to keep shouting and accusing him, but you knew it was pointless. If Bakugou thought he was innocent then he was no matter what kind of proof you had, which was none. Giving up was not an option and as much as this was your home you had to leave. Your chest tightened as you packed your bags. The only sound keeping you company was the shower Bakugou was currently occupying. You wrote a note and gently placed it onto your pillow before turning to leave. You felt your heart stop as Bakugou stared at you wide eyed. You felt like a deer in the headlight. He walked toward you, his hand reaching behind you to grab the note. He read it to himself before burning it in his grip. You flinched at the heat the radiated directly to your left. Bakugou growled as he loomed over you. âSo, youâre leaving huh. You think you can just write a fucking note and disappear into the night. You arenât going anywhere.â
A scream escaped as he grabbed you pushing you into the bed. His hands holding your arms above your head. He smirked as his towel fell at his feet. His grip tightened when you resisted. His knee pushing your legs apart. He shifted onto the bed never letting go of you and never moving his knee which was painfully pressed against you. âWhat the fuck are you doing Bakugou!â
âYou think Iâm cheating? Then Iâll just give you the attention you seem to be so deprived of to come up with such bullshit accusations.â You didnât want this. You didnât want his hand aggressively holding you down, you didnât want his knee pushing against your crotch, you didnât want his teeth biting into your neck like some kind of feral animal. You needed to get away. Your head smashed into his face allowing you the time you needed to get out from underneath him. He cursed while holding his bleeding nose. You grabbed your bags bolting to the front door but before you could open it, he caught you. His arms holding your waist from behind. You let out another scream of fear and agony before the back of your head smashed into his nose, again. A growl slipped out and you finally got the door open. Before you could make your escape Bakugouâs fingers slipped into your hair yanking you back. His lips touched your ear and you could smell the blood flowing freely down his lips. âShe felt a million times better than you.â
No words came out instead a choked sob and a whimper as you felt him let you go. You didnât even hear the door slam you were already out of the apartment complex and in your car. Your hands shook as you called the only person you could think to be awake. âHey Y/n, whatâs wrong?
âShinsou, I need you.â
---------------------
Bakugou tried to call you a million times after you left but to no avail. You had even blocked his number. He tried to find out where you had gone but no one would share that information with him. He had even gone to your agency but all they could tell him was that you were on a leave of absence. Bakugou truly had fucked up with no sign of reconciliation. It had been a week of trying to find you and failing. Mina, Sero, Kaminari, and Kirishima claimed that they hadnât heard from you which wasnât really a lie. They knew that you left Bakugou and that you were crashing at Shinsouâs, but they had yet to visit. Everyone was worried about you, but they didnât know the truth. They knew you had some kind of falling out but that was it. They had no idea what had actually happened.
âAre you going to lay in bed all day or are you going to actually get up.â Shinsou was teasing you as he slipped on his hoodie that he had to steal back from you. The day that you called him he was ready to break Bakugouâs jaw. He couldnât believe what you had gone through and he partially felt like he was to blame for telling you about the girl, however you had the right to know that your boyfriend had been cheating on you. Shinsou had tried to make you as comfortable as he could but you were starting to get stir crazy.
âWhy am I hiding when heâs the jerk who hurt me!â Shinsou shrugged as you threw his blanket off your body. You rolled out of his bed and stood in front of him pouting. He ruffled your hair while rolling his eyes at your outburst. He had dealt with multiple versions of you over the last few days. Sad, angry, regretful, spiteful, and any emotion in-between.
âY/n, you donât have to hide. You are safe with me, but you shouldnât feel like you arenât safe out there either. You can go back to your normal life. He wonât hurt you. I promise.â You knew that Shinsou was right and it was time to return to your normal life. Your arms wrap around him before you kiss his cheek thanking him. Before he can respond you run off to shower. He smiles to himself before calling out to you that heâs leaving and will see you later. After you shower you spend some time laying in bed texting Mina that you needed a girlâs day. She was in no way against it and told you she would meet you at her favorite coffee shop downtown. You changed into a cute skirt and one of Shinsouâs shirts that was a little baggy, that you tucked into the skirt. It was a casual and comfy outfit. You grabbed your purse and your phone before leaving the comfort of Shinsouâs apartment.
-----------------------------------
âY/N!â Mina had trapped you in her hug eliciting a laugh from you. She pulled away and grabbed your face looking you over for any sign or marks that you could have possibly obtained from Bakugou. âYouâre okay right?â
âYes Mina. Iâm⌠Iâm not really that okay. Iâm still coping with Bakugou using me, cheating on me, just overall destroying me. Iâm mad at myself for trusting him for as long as I had.â You leaned your head into Minaâs hand feeling shitty once again. Mina pinched the cheek against her palm causing you to groan in slight pain. She looked sad; she was sad. She cared so much about you and it broke her heart knowing that you were still suffering. She was still missing details of what happened, but she was able to piece some things together after Bakugou drunk called her apologizing for what he had done to you. She was sick to her stomach and wanted nothing more than to call you and apologize herself. âIâm so sorry that I wasnât there for you.â
âMina you didnât do anything wrong. Iâm a big girl, Iâll be okay. And I havenât been dealing with it alone. Iâve been staying at Shinsouâs.â That once sad look was quick to change into one of cat like curiosity. You had said the magic words.
âShinsou hm.â You shoved Mina as the two of you entered the shop to actually get coffee. âI NEED ALL THE DETAILS.â
-------------------------
âBakugou you canât be serious.â Kirishima had been following Bakugou after they ended an all-nighter at work. Bakugou was ignoring Kirishima while heading to his destination. He had gotten a text from Kaminari that you were meeting with Mina. Kaminari hadnât meant to send that information, he didnât even remember sending it until Kirishima called him screaming about it. Bakugou already made up his mind, he needed to see you. To tell you how much he fucked up. He needed you back, for you to understand how much he loved you. He regretted everything he had said, he had done. Kirishima had tried to talk some sense into him but he failed. Bakugou thought what he was doing was right and stopping him meant nothing. No one gets in his way.
âMina wait up you are walking to fast.â Mina had run ahead after seeing something in the widow of a shop that she thought would look amazing on you. You had to stop and let a few cars pass before trying to cross to meet your overly excited friend. The moment your foot moved forward your arm was yanked backward. You gasped before trying to pull it away from whoever grabbed you. As you turned to free yourself you came face to face with something worse than a stranger harassing you. Bakugouâs piercing red eyes were staring into yours, a jolt of fear rushed through you causing hair to stand up and your muscles to tense. People walked by with curiosity since neither of you tried hard to hide your identity. What was ground zero doing with Hero/Name? You didnât care what random people on the streets were saying or thinking. What mattered right now was getting the hell away him. You yanked harder but his grip just tightened.
âPlease, Y/n I need to talk to you.â His voice came out pleading. He was begging you to stay and listen but every fiber in your body told you to run or fight. You let your arm go limp like you were giving in. âThank you.â
Bakugou smiled but that was literally smacked off his face when you swung your free arm back before delivering a swift punch. Bakugou grunted in pain letting you go so he could touch his hand to his nose. You hadnât meant to hit him that hard but technically he shouldnât have touched you, so it was justified. âY/N!â
âDonât Bakugou!â Bakugou had reached for you again while Kirishima ran at him trying to prevent this from escalating. Mina had realized what was going on by now and was running toward you. Her and Kirishima were trying to prevent exactly what was about to happen. Bakugou caught you before you could run. His hands held your arms tightly, the fingers digging aggressively into them. You could feel how hot they were, and you were scared that he would use his quirk. You didnât want to show fear to him. Instead you mustered up a face of pure disgust. âYou donât get to touch me. LET GO OF ME!â
âWill you shut the hell up for a fucking second. I just wanted to talk to you. You disappeared and I had no idea where you went, and I was worried believe it or not. Iâve been kicking my own ass over the shit I said to you.â You stood there letting a man who cheated on you, a man who used you and hurt you, tell you that he was worried that he was regretful. He held you like you owed him this. That was all bullshit. Your shoulders shook as you dropped your head biting back tears that you felt he didnât deserve. âI love you Y/n.â
The world had been moving just a moment ago and yet now everything seemed to stop. Time stood still but the words echoed. Mina and Kirishima faded out of existence leaving only you and Bakugou. If this was a romance movie it would be followed by you throwing your arms around Bakugou before kissing him. This was real life and you felt no positive emotions. Bakugouâs grip never loosened and his eyes remained staring intensely into your own. He wasnât going to let you go till you responded. However, no matter how you responded if it wasnât in favor to what he said then you may as well have remained silent. You felt your heart race from the stress he was forcing onto you. The regret reflected in the crimson orbs almost made you feel guilty. You had loved him. You had given him years of your love and he shattered in along with your trust. You had spend the week crying till your eyes were swollen, screaming until your lungs begged for a break, pleading with some other worldly being to help you get over this pain, and wondering what you could have done to prevent this from ever happening. To say you didnât love Bakugou would be a lie. You loved him more than some stupid romance. You loved the way he growled in response when he was bothered, you loved the way he never gives up, you loved his honest laugh in which he truly thought something was funny or enjoyable, you loved the way he would kiss you and run his hand through your hair when he thought you were asleep. You loved and still love so much of him but as you look at him those feelings twist like gnarled tree branches and you feel yourself choking back vomit. When you closed your eyes you could picture a woman running her hands along Bakugouâs exposed body, you could hear them panting and moaning, you could hear the secretive whispers, and you could smell the sweet and salty after sex scent they would leave behind. These things were what you dealt with, they hallucinations that haunted you after his cruel revelation. The cheating wasnât the only thing haunting you. His hands holding you against your will, his teeth biting into you with no consent, and the fingers that entangled into your hair pulling with enough force to bruise. You had experienced fights before, but this was had been different, you were afraid and disgusted with that version of Bakugou. This Bakugou in front of you was the same one just using sad eyes and words of endearment to trap you so he could lock you up properly and punish you for leaving.
âY/n⌠please say something.â The world was moving or at least is seemed like you were a part of the rotation once again. People were watching the two of you, but you didnât notice. You couldnât break eye contact. Your lips were pressed so tightly together that you were afraid if you tried to open them, they would be glued shut. A dry mouth and cracking lips prompted you to have to unseal your lips as your drying tongue attempted to rehydrate your lips. What could you say that would make any of this better? Was there anything that could even be said anymore. You wanted this to just stop but didnât know how to make that happen.
âPro hero Mind Control has everybody on edge with the news of this important somebody heâs been hiding from us.â The moment you heard Shinsouâs hero name the world was back to normal. Your eyes broke from Bakugouâs turning to look directly at the large screen across the street. Shinsouâs figure stood proudly on the screen before it changed to an interview. You watched the woman across from him ask questions. âSo, who is this mystery person that you claim means the world to you. Someone so important that you have taken off a week of hero duties to be with them. â
You were the only person on the street watching this interview play. Minaâs voice once again crossed your ears as she yelled at Bakugou to let you go. Kirishima was going to grab his friend but stopped when you gasped. Bakugou had harshly shook you to return your attention to him. His eyes held a little anger and he seemed to have lost patience. âY/n ââ
âThis person is someone I love deeply; someone Iâd do anything for. I want her to know what love truly is. I love Y/n L/n. Many of you know her as Hero/nameâŚâ The rest of the words faded off as you cried. Bakugou had you at the brink of them but hearing this message broadcast to the world had them freely spilling over. A laugh broke beyond your splitting lips. Your fingers dug into Bakugouâs hands yanking them off you. He looked co conflicted, anger and fear blended. You didnât care about what he was feeling because you finally felt like something was okay. Your hands covered your mouth as you tried so badly not to squeal. You felt the happiness fade as your wrist was trapped in Bakugouâs grip. He wasnât going to let you go without a proper answer especially now that the world knew what Shinsou thought of you. âBakugou please let go of me. This⌠this is crazy. You need to let me go because I⌠Iâm letting you go.â
Bakugou watched you pull your wrist free. He watched you look up at the screen as it played the end of the interview. A smiling Shinsou stood on the screen giving you the confidence you needed. Bakugou wanted to let you leave but he couldnât. When he looked at your smile, he couldnât help remembering the times it was for him. You were his everything and now you were slipping from his fingers and into the arms of another man. You turned away from Bakugou smiling at Mina who was also shedding tears. Kirishima finally moved forward and caught his best friendâs arm. Bakugou looked back at Kirishima who mouthed for him to stop. He quickly looked back at you. You were now wrapped safely in Minaâs arms. The two of you sharing a moment that would live with you forever. He let his shoulders drop before turning around. He shoved off Kirishimaâs arm before his hands found a home in his jacket pockets. He left you under the screen, now playing an advertisement for some useless product, hugging your best friend while crying over a happiness that you deserved. He walked away, one million regrets coursing through his veins. The one thing he wouldnât regret was you.
------------------------------------
âWhere the hell are the rest of the guests.â You rolled your eyes while Momo held your face still. You could hear Mina bitching in the background about the missing members of your former class. She had made sure that everyone had been invited and was keeping tabs of who had arrived. You could hear Uraraka enter the room with an excited scream. She could see your refection in the large mirror in front of you. Mina grabbed onto the girl so they could be over excited together. You felt so much joy watching them feel this happy for you. Momo had been doing you hair and makeup for what felt like hours and you needed to get into the dress hidden behind the bag hanging on the door. You felt a million things; nervousness, excitement, utterly in love. Not once did you feel regret. You could never regret this. You were about to spend the rest of your life with the person that you loved and truly loved you. It had only been six months since the day you and Bakugou had the confrontation in the middle of a busy street, the same one that broadcast the life changing news.
âY/n!â You turned after the third time your name was yelled. Mina was pouting holding up the dress. She had a shimmer in her eyes and you almost told her not to cry or sheâd ruin her makeup. Sheâd just tell you to shut up. âYes Mina.â
âItâs time.â All three girls in the room with you had that glossiness to their eyes as they watched you slip the dress on. It fit perfectly, like it was meant to. You were a different person as you stared at your reflection. This was something you had always dreamed about and here you were living a fantasy, but it wasnât. It was reality. A knock on the door was followed by the voice of Sero. âLetâs get this show on the road ladies.â
The girls opened the door shoving through the waiting boys who were cackling until they saw you. Kaminari pretended to faint while Sero whistled. Both boys admired you and they honestly thought you looked beyond stunning. You were a single star in an almost pitch-black sky, you just needed to walk down an aisle to find another star so you wouldnât be so lonely. The music started up and you nodded at your best friends. They smiled back leading the way to your destiny.
âNervous?â Midoriya had whispered to Shinsou as he stood next to him. He looked over the crowd or friends and former classmates. They all watched with bated breath. You were the star of this event. Of course, Shinsou was nervous. He was marrying the girl of his dreams, the person that gave him purpose. Shinsou watched and when you arrived at the end of the aisle, he felt everything disappear. The guests were gone, his friends gone, the whole world meant nothing. It was black and you were the only light he could see. The way your hair was styled held together by pins and clips hidden underneath a white veil. You were a mystery that he already knew everything about. Like a child who still waited for gifts on Christmas but knew Santa wasnât real. The way your skin shimmered like rare and brilliant gemstones made Shinsou feel like he wasnât worthy. Your dress moved so smoothly around and against every curve and bump your body had. Your body made the dress gorgeous, gave it value. He couldnât see your eyes behind the veil, but he could imagine them. They held stars in them, creating galaxies that he had gotten lost in so many times. Your eyes had depth to them, they told a story and its clichĂŠ but its his favorite story. Shinsou hadnât realized he was crying until your hand gently touched his cheek. Your veil had been flipped over your head revealing your own tears. Shinsou leaned into your touch his own hand moving to cup your face as well. If it hadnât been for the vows, he would have kissed you right then. You both shared a silent moment of unconditional love before the wedding continued.
The vows could have been skipped because anything you both had to say then you had already said before. No words could ever truly describe how you felt about each other because it was more than just words. Your relationship was based on actions, words, looks, gestures; everything and anything you both did for and around the other mattered as an expression of love. He had tried so hard to make up for everything you had to suffer, and he knew that you might have moments where you questioned him, but he always made sure to have answers or words of reassurance. He never wanted to hurt you and he swore on his life that he wouldnât.
âI do.â You had spoken the binding words and Shinsou followed. The kiss was simple and yet it held so much meaning. It meant more than the rings. It was something Shinsou would never forget. Everyone cheered and some people cried. Mina was holding onto Uraraka both girls sobbing, Midoriya squeezed Shinsouâs shoulder giving him a thumbs up while his own ducts betrayed him.
-----------------------
âYou look so god damn beautiful.â A drunk Kaminari was hanging off you while you chatted away with guests. Mina yanked him off scolding him for his behavior before shooing him away. You laughed not minding at all. While you stood amongst friends who showered you with congratulations and compliments, Shinsou stood leaning against one of the walls near the bar. He had watched you cherishing these moments. He turned when he heard a familiar voice enter his vicinity. He turned in time to see Kirishima and Bakugou walking toward you. He was quick to make his way back to your side in case of any bad blood. Bakugou scoffed when Shinsou appeared but didnât give him any attention. You smiled at the blonde and red head. Kirishima told you how happy he was for you before leaving the three of you alone.
âAre you happy?â
âYes.â It was the simplest exchange you had ever had with Bakugou, but it meant a lot to you both. He needed to know that you had finally found the love and happiness you desired and deserved. You needed to know that he was able to let you go without fight. He nodded and hugged you whispering his congratulations. You thanked him before Momoâs voice came over the speakers announcing the first dance starting. Shinsou waved you to the dance floor promising to join you in a moment. He waited for you to leave before looking at Bakugou. Bakugou waited for a threat or some kind of scolding but nothing came. Shinsou remained silent. Bakugou took this opportunity to speak.
âThank you for taking care of her. I can tell you make her happy and thatâs what really matters.â Shinsou still remained silent and Bakugou continued. âI do have a question though. Y/n said I had been cheating and in an angry moment I basically said I was even though I hadnât done so. Shitty hair told me you told her you had seen me with some woman. I donât remember going to that restaurant with anyone other than coworkers or interviewers.â
âI lied.â Bakugou stood there frozen with wide eyes. He slowly turned to catch a glimpse of Shinsouâs smirk and a slight darkness behind his eyes. âI lied to Y/n about seeing you with some broad. I knew she would believe me, and I had my doubts about your faithfulness. I should be thanking you for verifying my lie. You made a single lie into an irrefutable truth all because you wanted to hurt herâ
Shinsou walked away heading toward you. He never spared Bakugou a second glance as he grabbed your hands kissing them. You giggled before the music began. Bakugou stood with Shinsouâs reveal on his shoulders. In the end he was the one who destroyed your trust but Shinsou admitted to planting the seed of doubt. But all that mattered now was your happiness, right?
Part Fifteen: Stay?
{Series Masterlist}
{Next}
Placing your phone down on your bed, you walked back over to your closet, eyeing the two dresses that hung on the door. Youâve been fighting against yourself for days- wondering if these dresses really fit your body type. The more you stared at the dresses, the more insecure you felt. Admiring the smooth texture of the black dress calmed you down, the loose pleats falling between your fingers. It felt like for once in your hectic life, you finally had control. Of course serenity always comes to an end. âHOLY FUCK YOUâRE EVEN CUTER THAN I REMEMBER!â Minaâs shriek echoed throughout your home. âFuck fuck fuck fuck fuckâ You mentally yelled at yourself. You knew Shinsou was on his way. Rushing down the stairs you saw Hitoshi walk through the door, handing Mina a bag of food while removing his shoes. Underneath his white v-neck shirt you noticed a small black design that wasnât there before. Shinsou walked closer to you, placing his hands on your hips and leaving a small kiss on top of your head. âHey baby. I figured Mina would still be here so I brought food for you both.â Shaky fingers made their way to the collar of his shirt gently tugging it down. âToshi? This is fresh⌠I know it wasnât there last night.â A deep chuckle slipped through his plump lips when your brow shot up in confusion. âI know, princess. After you left Sero came over. He wanted to use me as practice. Apparently heâs starting up tattooing.â Tracing over the plastic stuck to his collarbone you tried to make out what was hiding. Shinsouâs hands grasped yours, pulling them around his neck. âItâs just a small sun. All black. Nothing too crazy.â Footsteps interrupted your conversation. âSo Y/n⌠food is getting cold.â Mina glanced at you two smugly before turning back towards the kitchen.
The three of you sat at the dining room table in silence finishing your breakfast. Occasionally your eyes would meet Shinsouâs, receiving a small smile in return. Minaâs bubbly voice finally broke the silence. âThanks for breakfast Shinsou. Now if youâll excuse us, Y/n and I have to start getting ready! Jirou should be here soon and Bakubottom and Kiri are already on their way.â Scooting his chair out, the purple haired man stood up. âNo problem, Mina. Iâll be here later to pick you up Y/n.â Mina tugged you towards the stairs. âWait-â You planted your feet and turned towards Hitoshi. âStay?â Your cheeks heated up. Minaâs squeals became more quiet with each step she took up the stairs. Walking towards you he spoke âI have to go get ready too, sunshine. I have to look my best for you.â You grabbed his shoulders and looked up at him, his lilac eyes enticing you. Mumbling âHave Kami drop off your tuxâ before you smashed his lips against yours. His hands quickly found home on your lower back pushing your hips against his. Swiping your tongue against his lower lip. His mouth opened enough to allow your tongue inside. You could still taste the sweetness from breakfast. Tightening your arms around the manâs neck, his hands patted the back of your thighs, signalling you to jump. âT-Toshiâ you moaned against his lips causing him to slam your back against the wall. âFor fucks sake dumbass. Stop fucking in the living room.â Detaching your lips you turned to see Bakugou and Kirishima. Shinsou released your thighs, allowing you to slide down the wall, landing on your feet. âSorry man.â With one hand holding yourâs, his other reached out towards the blonde. â-âm Shinsou. Nice to actually meet you.â The angry manâs hand connected with Shinsouâs. âBakugou. If you hurt her I will kill you.â He stared at his best friend. Kirishima tugged his boyfriend closer. âHe wonât kill you. But you may end up in the hospital. Kirishima, by the way. Nice to meet you, bro!â
Summary: Y/n is a famous gaming streamer. Shinsou is an unknown homebody with obnoxious friends. What happens when Twitter connects the two through an unlikely way?
Winner Takes It All
A/N: so Iâm the one doing Shinsou, who would have guessed?;)
Pairing: Shinsou Hitoshi x f!reader
Word count: 1678
Warning: nsfw below cut
Shinsou felt the need to defend himself here, because he had no idea what the prize was before he actually won.
He simply jumped onto it because his housemates was being very loud about it and they flipped him off when he slammed the door opened after a long day of training asking them to tone the âanimalistic howlingâ down. It was only out of sheer pettiness that he looked up whatever gaming tournament they were screaming about and pure dumb luck that he ended up beating many other players probably way more familiar at the game than him.
He was still staring at the blinking screen in utter confusion when his friend barged into his room yelling strong strings of profanities, some he hadnât even heard of before, leaving like a storm as they did when they come in and told him to âhave fun with (y/n) on your faceâ.
It was only then that Shinsou remembered about how the email telling him that he won mentioned something about a prize and after leaning forward to read the very small lines on his screen, he wasnât sure if he should be mortified or excited that he got to have a camgirl sit on his face as a reward for winning the tournament.
Now, the right thing and the thing he was going to do was to politely reply to that email saying that while he appreciated the offer and it was not of any disrespect towards ms (y/l/n) but he was simply uncomfortable with the idea of letting a complete stranger sit on his face and he would much rather if the opportunity goes to someone who will make good use of it. But his curiosity got the better of him and he ended up in your streams after typing your name in the search bar. He was supposed to take a small peak and leave, but he stayed through the whole show, and came back the next day
And the next day.Â
And the day after that.
One slip of the virtue could truly lead to great mistakes and now he was in the elevator, going up to the hotel room that the organiser of the event had booked for the occasion, where you would be waiting for him.
A mistake? Yeah, yeah, he could keep saying that as if it could hide how shaky his hand was when it reached for the door.
The click of the lock had his heartbeat sped up and he took a deep breath, trying very hard to remain his composure when the door creaked open. You peaked out, a bathing robe wrapped snuggly around you and his face heated up when the images of what he had seen through the screen flashed through his mind. But still he was not an animal, and looking at someone who he just met like they were a piece of meat would be the last thing he ever does.
âHello.â âHey.â
You hated how meek your voice sounded. You filmed yourself doing far more promiscuous things than this for thousands of people to see on a regular and yet facing someone who you were supposed to get intimate with just like that still managed to fill you with nerves. You were a professional, damn it, you should not be this nervous. Perhaps opening the door to finally see the winner had did nothing to ease your jitters. He was nothing like what you imagined, certainly far more attractive than you had expected. Lean frame but his exposed arms hinted that there was something to look forward to under those layers, and you felt the excitement in you building up.
âWould you like to come in?â
There was a slight tint of awkwardness glooming the room as he walked in and it was just the two of you. He was not as eager as you thought he might be, starting off by a near unnatural attempt at small talk, his expression a very incomprehensible form of stoic. It was rather endearing that he was trying to get to know you beyond the bounds of what he was promised, perhaps it would not be too bold to say that you were starting to enjoy his presence. Before you knew it, you cut off his rambling with a chaste peck at the corner of his lips and pulling him towards the bed. You asked with a teasing smile that âPerhaps we can move onto what you are here for?â, the smile turning into a chuckle when he, whose name was Shinsou as he told you, turned a darker shade of pink and mumbled a soft response.
You enjoyed his reaction when he saw you slowly undid the knot of your bathrob, his eyes widening from where he laid on the bed and his shirt discarted to the ground as you instructed him to. You were wearing barely anything, only a pair of thin lace panties and nothing else. Shinsouâs breath hitched at his throat when you slowly climbed over him, your fingers trailing up his chest as you did so. He seemed to be hesitating, his hands placed at the side as his hot breath fanned your cheek from how closely you leaned down on him.Â
âAre you really ok with this?â He asked, his eyes darting away from your naked frame to your grinning face.
âOf course,â you said as your traced the muscle on his arm, enjoying the way his throat bobbed at the contact, âyou can touch me, you know?â
He tentatively placed his hand on your waist as you hovered above his face. The supple skin under his touch and the sight was enough to send blood rushing to his crotch. With the way his grip on you was so feather light, it was certain that he was still holding back. But the last bit of his rationality holding him back was broke loose when you arched your back at the first lick of his tongue from your clothed slit all the way to where the sensitive nub would be and moaned.
The same sound that rang by his ear every time his desires got the upper hand and clicked into your live streams was so much more tempting when he heard it in person. Reaching down to shove the fabric to the side, this time he did not hesitate when he latched his lips onto your folds. Your hands gripped onto the headboard for balance as you lowered yourself onto him even more, his kitten licks sending you into a frenzy when you felt his fingers digging into the soft flesh of your thighs.
His eyes met yours when you looked down. You looked so good with your face flushed and lips parted, the sight only made him more eager and you mewled when you felt the wet muscle plunged into your tight pussy, his nose brushing at your clit as he swirled his tongue against your walls. The position you were in was supposed to give you more control but it was apparently not the case as his hold on you tightened while you squirmed above him, allowing him better access as he slurped up the juices that was spilling down his cheek.
Trying to get more friction, you attempted to roll your hips against his face but it was no use. You did not need to look down to know that he was smirking all while continuing his devouring of you when you whimpered. It was a wonder how he could switch from the composed persona to this devious smile once he was given the green light.
He licked and sucked on you like his life depended on it, determined to get the most out of you. You could feel the tightening at your abdomen when his hand reached up to grope your chest that was bouncing while the rest of your body shook under the pleasure.
There was no doubt that he was skilled with his mouth, pulling his tongue out of you only to latched onto your clit before you could even made a noise at the lost of friction. With the circling and flicking of the tip, it was getting harder and harder for you to hold yourself together.Â
With a particularly hard suck, you came crushing down. Your cries and the erotic sound of him lapping at your slit echoed off the walls. Your legs were still shaking when you slowly crawled off of his face only to be stopped by his hand pressing firmly on your back. The clear substances of your high was still dripping off his face when you looked down, his lilac irises a dark shade of lust that had you stopping in your tracks. He looked like he was warning you that you were not going anywhere, and somehow the authority in his eyes sent s throb straight down to your core.
âDo you want more?â
His deep tone did nothing to ease that ache at your pussy and with the way his lips ghosted over your inner thigh, it was like he already know your answer before you could say anything.
âPlease.â
Shinsou did not waste another second as he flipped you onto your back, pushing your legs opened with his knee as he kneeled on the mattress. HIs belt unbuckled and pulled down to release his strained erection.Â
He leaned down to capture your lips while his hand went down to rub at your pussy, the taste of your own essence made you moaned into the kiss and adding to your arousal. The moan turned into a soundless cry when he plunged his length inside of your sopping cunt, your hand holding onto his neck as he thrust vigorously inside of you.
One slip of the virtue could turn a man into a beast, but perhaps the mistake could be far more than enjoyable for two people if done right and Shinsou sure his way around as he brought you to yet another high.
And another.
And another.
Bonus
You fell onto the mattress after you lost count on how many times Shinsou had made you cum. Your body was covered in a disgusting sheen of sweat but it didnât seem to bother him as he pulled you close, wrapping one arm around you as he pressed you against his heaving chest.
âWhy that was fun.â You said, your breaths irregular from the adrenaline and he chuckled.
âWas I too rough on you?â
âNo, it was good.â You replied with a smile, enjoying the heat from his naked body. âWe should totally do this again some time.â
âThat good, huh?â He smirked and winced when you pinched his waist.Â
âWho knows,â you said with a sly grin that spread across your face, âperhaps I could even get you to join one of my shows.â
âWho knows,â he laughed, mimicking your tone as his hand tilted your jaw so that you were looking at him, âperhaps I would like that.â
The tour starts tomorrow night in Fukuoka, ending in Sapporo at the end of the month. Tickets | Details
Day 1: Fukuoka
***
The past 24 hours had been hectic and overwhelming; the last minute preparations, the packing, the 17 FaceTime calls Mina insisted were necessary for packing, the flight to Fukuoka, the hotel, meeting the approximately 3674 people involved in the tour (okay, really approximately), the soundchecks, the press, making sure Todoroki didnât get lost (again). It could have been enough to have you considering your plan B vocation of Professional Kitten Cuddler (youâd seen a Buzzfeed article once), if it wasnât for this feeling, right here and now.
The house lights had dimmed away to almost nothing, causing the steady thrum of chatter from the crowd to surge into a roar of anticipation that matched your own perfectly; waiting sidestage in the dark knowing you were on the precipice of doing what you loved most always made you feel electric.
Youâd followed Shinsou onto the stage as the eyewateringly bright lights hit, securing the strap of your bass before looking without seeing out at where you knew the crowd was. You were really here, on this stage, with your best friends, on the biggest tour youâd done so far as a band. You let yourself bask in the joy that brought for a moment longer, before turning towards your bandmates, tilting your head in silent question. Quick nods from Tokoyami and Shinsou and a peace sign from Mina were all you needed before you turned to Todoroki to count in. Everything after that was the most beautiful white noise.
***
8 songs flew by quicker than you could ever remember, Shinsouâs synths fading out as Mina yelled into the mic like she was going for Present Micâs radio slot.
âOur record is available from the merch table and we are on all relevant social media - @ rollingthunder! Our TikToks are epic! We have been Rolling Thunder, you have been fucking beautiful - goodnight!!!â
ââOur TikToks are epicâ?!â Shinsou rounded on the lead singer as soon as you were all sidestage again.
Mina put her hands on her hips, giving off the energy of an elementary school teacher who had to do this a lot. âThey are epic! Itâs not my fault you never want to be in them!â
âMaybe thatâs why theyâre epic?â Todoroki deadpanned, removing the sweat-soaked towel from around his neck.
The snort you gave out at the impossible-to-tell-if-it-was-intended-as-an-insult-or-not-because-itâs-Todoroki insult died off early as you caught sight of him.
Fuck. Heâd actually gotten hotter overnight.
Kaminari made a beeline straight for you from the door that lead to the backstage area, 100 watt smile firmly in place. âHey, you. Great set out there! Totally dope!â
âYou were watching?â You were too caught off guard to school your tone into anything less giddy, and you knew youâd be hearing about it until you could hide in your bunk on the tourbus. Maybe not even then if your bandmates didnât respect the sanctity of the curtain.
âYeah, of course! We were up on the balcony, in the private bit? You know?â You assumed Sero and Kirishima formed the âweâ he was talking about, as they appeared one after another through the same door, grinning widely.
âYeah, totally, I remember they said there was somewhere to watch the other sets from...cool!â
A part of you died inside as you heard yourself reply and you wondered briefly if there was any chance your whole band wasnât watching this interaction. Hearing âcool!!!â mimicked in four wildly different attempts at your voice shut that down.
There was no way Kaminari hadnât heard all four impressions, but he was nice enough to pretend he hadnât.
âYeah! So, uh...you could totally watch our set, now! If, you know, you want...â He trailed off, looking hesitantly hopeful and fiddling with one of his many, many earrings.
His golden eyes had been staring into yours for the whole of your conversation so far and you found yourself getting lost in his gaze, all of the noise of the crowd buzzing and the crew swapping the setup over becoming distant to your ears.
Until his bassist slapped him on his back - hard - shit-eating grin all over his face.
âSmooth like silk, Denks!â
âShut up, Sero!â Kaminari whined, breaking eye contact with you to shove at his bandmateâs arm.Â
No one said anything for what felt like the longest seven seconds in history. Kirishima cleared his throat politely and smiled encouragingly, but seemed to run out of ideas after that.
âWeâll watch you guys! But only if you tell us how awesome we were!â Minaâs arm slid seamlessly to link with yours as you remembered how much you loved this pink-haired angel. She was a socialising expert and had rescued you all right before the silence had slid past the point of no return into Awkwardsville.
Kaminari seemed to share your sentiment, as it wasnât with only a little relief he began to shower the rest of your band with praise. It was only when heâd rambled his way to complimenting the way Tokoyami held his guitar that Shinsou decided it was his turn to steer the conversation. âDonât you have a drummer? Did he not want to watch our set?â
âNah, he said he âdidnât wanna watch a bunch of electro emos with stupid hair sing about going to Hot Topic or what-the-fuck-whateverâ,â Sero cheerfully announced, ignoring the choking sound the apparently-direct quote forced out of the blonde you couldnât take your eyes off of.
âWow. Heâs charming.â Shinsou replied, voice dripping with sarcasm.
âHe is, isnât he?â Kirishima sighed, sounding like heâd have actual stars in his eyes if you could bring yoursef to stop looking at Kaminari and check. Which you Absolutely Could Not.
Youâd met Kaminari at 1 this afternoon, and heâd been pretty much all youâd thought about since 1:01.
***
âOkay, so, Chargebolt - Eijirou Kirishima, Hanta Sero, Katsuki Bakugou, Denki Kaminari. Plus Ultra! - Izu...â
You were pretty sure one of the tour managers was still speaking, introducing the other band you were sharing this tour with, but you couldnât focus on anything else. Kaminari. Denki. Denki Kaminari.
The ear you could see was adorned with multiple piercings, and the one you couldnât was covered with a sweep of blonde hair with a black lightening bolt dyed into it. Golden eyes, pink lips. Not particularly tall, or jacked, but lean and muscled where you could see. A black Fatgum Records T-shirt over a black and white striped longsleeve, tucked into ripped jeans that fell into laced up boots. Were those fingers tattoos? It was definitely yellow nail polish and a multitude of silver rings. Talk about âexactly my type on paperâ. Fuck!
You wondered for a second who exactly it was who had given this man the right. Then you realised he was moving - towards you.
âHey! Y/N Y/L/N, right? I heard you guys on Present Micâs show, the Live Lounge? That was incredible!â
Had your mouth been wide open the entire time he was talking? You really couldnât be sure either way.
âHey! Yeah, thatâs uh...me! Thanks, I was really nervous but he was so cool.â
Kaminari nodded enthusiastically, bouncing on the balls of his feet. âPresent Mic? Yeah, what a legend! We havenât been on for a hot minute but weâll probably go back next album cycle.â
You were pretty sure you were supposed to be making introductions to everyone in the room right now, but before you knew it, it had been fifteen minutes and the only person youâd spoken to was Kaminari. A way-too-stressed-for-the-first-day-of-tour looking woman was trying to politely usher Kaminari away to wherever Chargeboltâs schedule had them being right now, but he hesitated after he said a (hopefully) reluctant goodbye.
âYeah, so...itâs so cool to be working with you! And, yâknow, that work is...touring together, so we could like...hang out! Yeah? If you want?â
You ignored your own manager materialising at your side tapping her watch for a moment longer to nod quickly and breathe out a response.
âYeah, we could, I want.â
Kaminariâs face broke out into a smile as big as the gag Shinsou was doing behind him. âYeah. Yeah! Great! See you later!â
Youâd pretended not to watch them leave the room.
The rest of your band had been only too happy to inform you that youâd failed to pull it off.
Saving Her (Ojiro Mashirao x Wolf!Reader)
Part 14: Shinsou receives some surprising news, Eri-chan is adorable and Aizawa is 100% a proud dad. When you get back to Heights Alliance, Hagakure and Ashido have got a few tricks up their sleeves to push you and Ojiro together. Contains hints of all the ships: Kaminari x Jirou, Kirishima x Mina, Todoroki x Midoriya, Asui x Tokoyami. And a riveting game of truth or dare is finally enough for you and Ojiro to face the truth of the reason why your hearts beat so fast when youâre around each other.
Word Count: 9.9k
That night when you got back to Heights Alliance, you were exhausted but at least it wasn't even near curfew yet.
During dinner, your dad had announced that he talked to the principal and they decided to allow him to fully transfer.
Shinsou's eyes were wide in shock as Aizawa elaborated that he would start classes in the hero course starting next week and Eri clapped her hands together jubilantly, diving in his lap to hug him around his waist.
"Toshi-nii, yayyy!!!"
Shinsou awkwardly patted her on the back, still reeling at the bomb his mentor had just dropped on him. He hadn't been expecting it so soon. According to his sensei's plan, he was supposed to undergo three more weeks of training and then a series of tests that would accurately assess whether or not his physical capabilities had improved enough to let him in.
But Aizawa had made a call, one that told Nezu that the teenager was more than ready to take on the challenges that would come with the transfer. He could handle it. He was more than prepared.
You had squealed happily once the news broke and eagerly asked if anyone else knew about it, to which your dad blankly stated that Nezu had only just informed him, so no, none of your nosy classmates were aware yet.
Shinsou jolted out of his trance when you ran over to him and shook him violently, almost dislodging Eri as you asked over and over again which class he was going to pick.
He stared at you incredulously. "What the heckâ Class A, now stop shaking me!!"
You immediately released him and cheered loudly, grabbing Eri to dance while Aizawa sidled over to his student.
"You okay, kid?" He asked with a touch of concern as Shinsou didn't react.
Blinking, Shinsou nodded slowly. "I just... I didn't expect it to come so soon."
Aizawa shrugged. "Well, you worked hard. You should be proud of yourself."
Shinsou looked down and swallowed hard. Was he proud? He didn't know. It all felt so sudden.
Aizawa's eyes softened as he picked up on the turmoil swirling inside of the younger and rested a hand on his shoulder. "Don't think about it so much. You worked hard, you earned your spot, Toshi."
After a pause, Shinsou dipped his head in hesitant agreement and Aizawa frowned, understanding why he felt he couldn't celebrate yet but almost wished that he allowed himself this accomplishment.
He had worked extra hard on his training on top of all his other schooling. If anyone deserved this, he did.
Another hour passed and after dessert, Eri could barely keep her eyes open.
Aizawa was reluctant to let you and Shinsou take a cab back to the dorms by yourselves since it was already dark out but he had to put Eri to bed and he made you both promise to text him the second you got back.
And under no circumstances were you two allowed to leave each other's sides until he confirmed it with a message that he had gotten your text.
Neither you nor Shinsou had rolled your eyes at the demanding tone he took with you like you normally would have done. This was too important.
The twenty minute ride that followed was uneventful at best but perhaps that was a good thing. It meant that nobody suspicious was lingering around and causing trouble.
"Thank you for your hard work!!" You said, bowing your head as the driver tipped his head in your direction before speeding off.
Shinsou elbowed you in the ribs, stuffing his hands in his pocket to fish around for his phone for a second before he found it. White light blinded him for a second before he got a handle on the device and adjusted the brightness so that it was no longer glaring in his face.
Sending a quick message to his mentor to let him know that you had both made it back safely, he shoved it back in his pocket, heading in the direction of Class 1-C's dorms when you latched around his arm.
"Where are you going?!" You wailed, hanging onto him with the help of your tail as he furiously tried to throw you off.
"Ack, get off of me, you little leech." Shinsou hissed, only growing more annoyed when you shook your head stubbornly and stuck your tongue out at him childishly. "Geez, you're worse than Eri."
The affronted gasp you let out was all the incentive he needed to pry you off and race towards the dorms.
"TOSHI!!!!" You shouted as you barreled after him and he laughed, so openly and freely that you forgot to be mad at him for the comment you know he didn't mean about Eri.
He loved her, he really did, and you knew that the only reason why he said that was to rile you up and get under your skin so you would let go. You hated how it worked.
Waving goodbye for now, you two parted ways.
"Welcome back, L/N-san!!" Midoriya greeted earnestly as you stepped through the doors.
You skipped over to him, giving him a hug as a greeting and he stammered, clearly affected by your presence. Giggling, you took mercy on your friend and did a quick scan of the commons.
Tokoyami, Koda and Hagakure were studying on the couches, Kirishima hanging over Koda's shoulders in an attempt to get the difficult material through his head.
Sato was in the kitchen, no surprise there, but the additional presence of Kaminari had you doing a double-take.
"Uh, are you sure he's meant to be there?" You asked skeptically, jabbing a thumb towards the electric blond who had his tongue poking out in concentration as he stirred something in a mixing bowl.
Sero barely spared a glance in the direction you pointed at, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly as he concentrated on beating Ashido in this round of Mario Cart.
"He hasn't burnt anything down or caused a power outage yet, so Iida says it's okay." He told you, cheering when he passed the finish line first.
As Ashido was left to pout, you observed Kaminari for a second longer. It was rare to see him so focused on a task, you were almost wondering what happened to him.
"Psst!!"
You leaned over as Hagakure gestured for you to come closer, envisioning the smirk the invisible girl must have had on her face as you complied.
"He's getting Sato-kun to teach him how to make chocolates for Jirou!!" She whispered to you so discreetly that none of the boys surrounding her picked up on it as they talked over the paper they had to finish by the end of this weekend.
Tonight wasn't a school night, thankfully, so everyone was a little more relaxed. Which, if you thought about it, actually made sense since less than half of the class that was downstairs was working on homework.
In the group of seven girls, it wasn't a secret that Jirou was harboring a bit of a crush on the electric blond, but what was a surprise to you was that those feelings looked like they were returned.
Your heart skipped a beat and you fought the urge to jump for joy, knowing full well that Jirou would not appreciate you spilling the beans on that secret.
It was just so cute!!
It was nowhere near Valentine's Day, so you wondered what got his heart twisted in a bunch to do this for her, but you couldn't say you were complaining. Practically the whole class was waiting for one of them to confess.
Ashido even managed to lock the two of them in a closet together but it didn't go anywhere, much to her dismay, and she spent the rest of the week dodging Jirou's earphone jack before she readily apologized and the other girl begrudgingly forgave her.
All of that going on took away from the fact that Kaminari's shoulders slumped in defeat as he trudged back to his room, locking himself away for the rest of the day. No one had noticed it except for Kirishima and Hagakure, who happened to look his way by chance.
You were glad that he was doing this though. Something told you he still intended to go after her until he worked up the courage to confess.
It was rather endearing.
Slinking stealthily to the stairwell to avoid drawing the attention of the rest of your classmates, you raced upstairs to the room of the one person you wanted to see the most since he wasn't on the common floor.
Knocking on the door, you bent over your knees and caught your breath before opening it a fraction when you heard him say you could come in.
"Hey," You said softly, bounding inside as he motioned invitingly and nuzzled the top of Ojiro's head from where he was seated at his desk, slaving away over the math problems he got assigned earlier that day.
He turned around the instant you stepped into the room, attention shifting over to you as his tail curled around you in a brief hug.
"You're back." Ojiro breathed in relief, his eyes flitting over you for a second. "Did you have fun?"
"Oh yeah," You giggled, flopping onto his bed, propping your head up with one hand. "Shinsou nearly won the last match they had."
Ojiro laughed, striding over to you and knelt down by your side. "Nearly?"
"Mmhm..." You hummed. "Dad put him in a headlock though that he couldn't get out of."
Ojiro smiled at your tease, shaking his head slightly but was ultimately glad that you were just happy. Even if it had been at the expense of Shinsou.
He was one of the only ones that knew exactly where Aizawa's flat was, that information strictly to be used in an emergency situation only.
The last thing Aizawa wanted was for them to destroy the peace and tranquility he had at home on his days off when he didn't have to deal with something being broken, set on fire, or carelessly thrown around that required funds to fix it.
No way.
The rest of his classmates were aware of how much time their teacher spent with you and Shinou outside of class but nobody minded the favoritism, all equally aware of how tough Aizawa got on you two especially during school.
With your background and Shinsou's aloofness, it was only natural for most of them to be glad that their sensei had taken to you two so well.
Most of them.
Bakugou had exploded on more than one account that he didn't care but in truth, he was just as curious to see where you and the brainwashing kid left after school. You both always came back rather late, it was odd.
Shoji had expressed his concern on more than one occasion, wondering if you really were safe enough to come back on your own after it got dark out but you waved him off, reassuring him that the phone Jirou had bought for you and taught you how to use was very effective in calling emergency services when you pressed a simple button.
You weren't worried. You felt safe.
Safer than you had in years.
You squirmed, trying to get comfortable on the bed even though nothing helped to quell the heat you felt creeping up your neck at Ojiro's closeness.
He raised an eyebrow and you swore you saw a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Y/N?"
That time, there was no mistaking the playful lilt in his voice and you fumbled, throwing the blankets up in your haste to hide under them.
Ojiro's voice was muffled when he called out to you and even though you tried desperately to block it out, nothing worked, your mortification only growing as he pinched a corner of your makeshift den, as though he was going to lift it up.
This wasn't fun. He got too much joy out of teasing you when you two were alone, it was so unfair!!
He always managed to catch you off-guard somehow, with those sweet smiles that radiated kindness and were the beacon of your hope.
It wasn't your fault!! You got flustered easily!!
Throwing off the blankets with a huff, you kept your arms pinned to your body as you pouted up at him.
"Don't tease me!!" You cried indignantly and he laughed.
"I'm not." Ojiro replied but the twinkle in his eye all but gave him away.
You pointed an accusatory finger at him. "You are!!"
Chuckling, Ojiro caught your hand when it flailed in his direction and lowered it gently. "Okay, maybe I am."
"See?!"
As he laughed again, you pushed your bottom lip out even further but when it clearly wasn't dying down, you shuffled back under the blankets until only the top of your head peeked out.
"Y/N, come on out." Ojiro tried to coax, biting his lip when your ears flopped around as you shook your head stubbornly. "I'm sorry for teasing you."
At the genuine tone, you cautiously pulled down the covers, gazing at him suspiciously. "You are?"
Ojiro nodded. "Yes."
As you sat up, satisfied with his apology, you squeaked in surprise when he accidentally leaned closer to you in the process.
Neither one of you expected that proximity. You blushed and stammered while Ojiro ducked his head down to avoid your gaze.
Nothing could be heard except your breathing and the rustle of his tail as he accidentally knocked something over, both of you wincing as the silence was broken.
You giggled slightly, feeling a bit ridiculous. "Mashirao?"
You almost fell over when you caught his eye, the sheer amount of tenderness in his gaze making your heart pound and blood rushed to your head when he hugged you carefully.
"I'm sorry, you're just... very easy to fluster." He said slowly, choosing his words carefully, wondering if you could somehow hear how hard his heart was pounding.
"Oh..." You trailed off quietly, unsure about how that made you feel. So he was teasing you. That hurt a bit more than you thought it would.
But Ojiro's arms tightened around you when you tried to wrangle free, sensing your sadness as if it was the easiest thing in the world. "Wait, I didn't word that right."
You could barely breathe, not daring to take a breath for fear that this moment would shatter. The atmosphere was heavy and it felt as though an invisible tapestry had draped over you both, only to be lifted when he got the courage to say what was weighing on his heart.
"It's... very cute." Ojiro admitted sheepishly, growing shy as you blinked at him innocently. "You're... cute."
His hesitation probably should have raised red flags but they didn't, and that was because you knew he was being completely honest with you. He was never one to waste breath on saying something he thought was unimportant.
It was odd, the giddiness that overcame you as you bumped your nose against his, a spark of joy running through your system as you heard him voice that he thought you were cute.
"Really?!"
Ojiro laughed breathlessly. "Yeah."
It was short but it was sweet. You nudged his jaw and he tilted it instinctively to let you scent him. Sighing when his comforting scent flooded over you, you snuggled into his neck, closing your eyes as he hugged you closely.
You could feel his solid body pressing against yours, it was warm and safe. It felt like home.
Ojiro's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he caressed your hair, drawing back to whisper into your ear before he lost his nerve.
"Y/N, there's one more thing I want to tell you."
You hummed, your tail wagging in lazy eagerness as the appendage answered for you and he laughed nervously, his own tail flexing anxiously as he thought about what he was finally going to confess.
What he was finally going to say after a whole month of debating about it.
His feelings went deeper than a crush. He knew that much. Every time you walked into the room, he was left wondering when you would come over to him and every time you left, he always worried about where you were going and if you were safe.
Nothing set his heart at ease other than having you in his arms after a long day of classes and rigorous training. There was nothing like inhaling your sweet scent and breathing you in until you both fell asleep in each other's arms, limbs tangled together on his bed or yours.
How a proud smile never failed to appear on his face whenever you worked your way through something that was difficult, whether it was an emotional or physical barrier that prevented you from achieving what you wanted to achieve.
You were brave. You were kind. And you were so strong.
Ojiro took a deep breath. "I lovâ"
A sharp knock at the door interrupted him, effectively making the two of you spring apart and shattering the bubble you had been in.
âDownstairs in ten minutes!!!â Hagakureâs voice floated through the door as she jumped up and down excitedly outside. âAnd no excuses, weâre playing a game!!â
The rapid footfalls signaled that she had scampered away, presumably to rope the rest of your friends into this little game that she had schemed up on the fly.Â
You glanced at Ojiro, clapping a hand over your mouth when he stood up and almost tripped.
âIâm sorryââ You giggled, unable to help it at the mock insulted look on his face. âI donât know why Iâm laughing!!â
You really didnât. You certainly didnât think it had anything to do with how fast your heart was beating at how close he was to saying something you dearly hoped wasnât a trick of your mind.
You guessed you would never know now.Â
Timidly taking his hand as he offered it to you, you bit back a smile as he grabbed your favorite plushie and handed it to you.
âWeâre going down now?â You asked curiously as he led you out and closed the door behind him. âHagakure said we donât need to be downstairs until ten more minutes.â
Ojiro shrugged slightly, giving you a small smile. âI donât want them to take all the good seats.â
Throwing your head back, you laughed at the cheeky reply as the two of you made your way to the vacant common floor.
The TVs had been turned off as well as all the lights and you didnât bother turning them on as you got comfortable on one of the couches in the living area.
Five minutes passed.
You wriggled on Ojiroâs lap, trying to contain your excitement. It was almost 11 pm at night, way past Bakugouâs bedtime, and you were currently keeping yourself occupied until everyone else got down here, wondering what Hagakure had planned for tonight.
Given no other explanation, you played with your lion plushie while you waited for her to come back and explain what was going on.Â
âY/NâŚâ Ojiro said with a smile and you froze in place.Â
Willing your tail to calm down and stop tickling his face, you giggled as he rested his chin on top of your shoulder, your cheeks pinking.Â
âSorryâŚâ You said sheepishly but he shook his head.
âItâs okay.â He chuckled, holding back a fond smile.
You were playing with Koko to keep yourself entertained while you waited and his heart warmed when you dropped a kiss on its fuzzy head. It wasnât as though you didnât use the presents that your friends gave you but this was special because this was the one he had given to you.
And this was the one you held every night before you went to sleep.
Everyone else came in a slow trickle, most of the boys obviously skeptical of how Ashido managed to get them all roped up in it.Â
âWhatâs all of this about?â Kirishima asked earnestly, pulling his stubborn best friend who was violently protesting the entire way behind him that this was a waste of time and that he needed his sleep.
Somehow, he had managed to bring Bakugou along. You werenât sure that was a win though, with how disgruntled the explosion boy looked from being woken up.
âWhy do I have to be here?â Jirou grumbled, dragging her feet as Ashido tugged her along.
âBecause~â The pink girl whined. âItâll be fun!!â
âThis is not my idea of fun.â She sighed but reluctantly caved in and took a seat next to Shoji, sitting cross-legged on the couch and twirled one of her jacks around a finger.
Ashido clapped her hands to garner everyoneâs attention, smiling widely.Â
You snuggled further into Ojiro, wanting nothing more than to curl up and take a nap on him. You had thought you would be more nervous around him after what you thought he had almost said before he was interrupted but there was nothing other than the pleasant hum of your heart.Â
 Today had been taxing with news that Shinsouâs dream was finally going to be put into motion and you really didnât want to do anything else besides sleep in his embrace. His hand landed on top of your head and he stroked your hair evenly until you almost drifted off.Â
That was, until you heard what Hagakure announced next.
âLetâs play truth or dare!!!â She squealed and you nearly fell off of Ojiro in shock.Â
Eyes wide in horror, you could practically see the mischievous glint in her eye and your mind raced at a mile per minute.Â
Oh no, no, no, no, noâ
âY/Nâs going first!!â Hagakure shouted.
âNo way!!â You sputtered in disbelief, cheeks coloring as all eyes turned on you. âWhy do I have to go first?!â
Sensing your unease, Ojiro intervened.
âMaybe we should play another game?â He suggested diplomatically.
Ashido pouted, planting her hands on her hips. âNoooooo I have a question I want to ask Kirishima really bad!!â
Kirishima blinked in shock and pointed to himself as though he couldnât believe that out of everyone, she had something to ask him. âMe?â
Your shoulders sagged in relief as she hadnât called you out but that didnât make you any less wary of her or Hagakureâs intentions. They were both well known for being deceptively crafty when it came to anything romance related and you were sure you werenât safe just because you were friends.
Todoroki had Soba in his lap and was petting him idly, largely ignoring the chaos raging around him while everyone bickered about the order to go in.
Yaoyorozu and Midoriya pitched in that there should be an impartial game of chance to determine who was going first, Iida echoing their reasoning with swift hand chops and a shout that could be heard above the clamor.
Eventually, for fairness, Ashido ended up using Aoyamaâs idea of putting everyoneâs name in a hat that Yaoyorozu created for random drawing.
The person selected could ask anyone a question, even if theyâve already gone and once theyâre done, the selectee picks another name from the hat.Â
No matter if the person picked truth or dare, if the person doesnât want to answer the question or do the dare, theyâd have to prank Aizawa.
During class. In front of everyone as proof.
And no one wanted to cross their homeroom teacher. Not even you wanted to take chances with your dad. He could be extremely scary when woken up from his nap during homeroom and no one was willing to take a chance on their life just to avoid answering a question or to negate a silly dare.
Because everyone knew that their lives would be at stake if it boiled down to their furious homeroom teacher who had been disrupted by their antics.
With that, the game began.
Surprisingly, Yaoyorozu got drawn first, and being the kind person she was, she asked Uraraka if she would like to go on an all-paid-for shopping spree the next day they had off, to which Uraraka promptly burst into tears at her friendâs generosity, blubbering out an agreement of sorts.
Once she collected herself, Uraraka drew next, getting Koda and asked him if there were any pets that he would like to own. He shyly signed that he had been wanting to take care of a Mamushi, a Japanese pit viper, but was uncertain about how Kawaii-chan would deal with the snake if and when he got one.Â
The stunned silence that followed was not surprising since this was so far left-field, it even caught Bakugou off-guard.Â
Koda drew from the hat, sweating nervously when he opened it up and saw the name.
â... BakugouâŚâ
Bakugouâs forehead irked in annoyance.Â
âDare.â He spat before Koda even got a chance to ask him.
Kodaâs nervousness grew to unprecedented levels at the red aura emitting from the enraged pomeranian, stumbling over his words so much so that you felt bad for him. He could barely form his thoughts, let alone get his words out.
âI dare you to be nice to Midoriya for one day.â Koda said quietly, shaking frightfully as the aura increased to murderous and he squeaked, absolutely petrified.
Ashido slapped a hand over her mouth to keep herself from laughing as Sero and Kaminari promptly burst into tears of hysteria, smacking their thighs as they howled in laughter.
âBakugou, thatâs enough.â Shoji instructed evenly, shielding Koda before the seething teen could jump on him, though it did nothing to stop the sparks from popping in his hand.
âWhy the fuck do I have to be nice to shitty Deku?!â Bakugou exploded, whirling around at the sound of a throat clearing calmly.
âAre you saying you canât do it?â You asked slyly without cracking an eye open and Ojiro nearly lost it.
Bakugou scowled. âLike hell I canât!!â
âWell then!!â You clapped your hands, sitting up as you flashed him a cheeky grin. âThen this should be no problem for the number one hero, right?â
Bakugou growled at you but he knew he had landed himself in this trap. You had covered it with honey and like an idiot, he went after it.Â
âFuck.â He hissed under his breath, snapping around to face a petrified Midoriya head-on. âIâm going to fucking kill youââ
âAh, ah, ah!!â You tsked, wagging a finger at him. âPlay nice, remember? 24 hours starts now.â
Bakugou raged for a good five minutes before sitting down heavily, glaring holes into the back of Midoriyaâs head.Â
You flashed Koda a thumbs-up and he smiled at you gratefully for enforcing the dare he wouldnât have been able to do.Â
The next several rounds passed by in the blink of an eye.Â
Bakugou dared Aoyama to go outside and yell that he loves cheese, Tokoyami got dared by Aoyama to go the entirety of next week without wearing black, and Tokodoki was dared to leave Soba in the care of Bakugou, to which he promptly responded that heâd rather pour water over Aizawaâs head.
Next week was going to be interesting.Â
You giggled at the horrified expression on Tokoyamiâs face that he had to go without all next week without wearing his favorite color, so much so that you missed your name being called until Ashido and Hagakure screamed excitedly.
âY/N!!!!!â
You nearly jumped ten feet into the air. âAHHH, WHAT?!?!â
Ashido grinned, rubbing her hands evilly. Todoroki had just gotten done asking her a question about what her favorite food was.Â
âOh, Y/N-chan~â Ashido sang and you sweated nervously, subconsciously leaning back into Ojiroâs chest as she trained her golden irises glimmering with mischief on you.
Hagakure tugged on her sleeve, whispering something in her ear and a crafty grin spread across her lips.Â
âTruth or dare?!â
âT-TruthâŚ?â You stammered out uncertainly, wary of that look in her eye.Â
Your heart plummeted as Ashido clapped her hands gleefully.
Oh no.
Ashido wasted no time leaning forward and peering at you with her eyes gleaming.Â
âDo you have a crush on anyone?â She asked cheekily, already knowing the answer thanks to your slip up the last time all you girls had gathered.Â
Your fingers halted from where they were playing with Ojiroâs hands and you squeaked.Â
Behind you, Ojiro went rigid as he tensed underneath you and his breath hitched, unconsciously waiting for your answer along with the rest of your classmates.Â
Playing with your tail anxiously, your ear twitched and heat warmed your face, setting it on fire the instant her question hit you.Â
Biting your lip, you uttered quietly a noise of confirmation that had Hagakure squealing and Ashido jumping for joy.
The majority of the boys looked shocked but Bakugou rolled his eyes, thinking everyone had to be blind not to see it.
âWho is it?!â Hagakure demanded, trying to get you to admit it and you just flashed her a smile.
âNope, I already answered the question.â You said, grinning widely at her whine, thinking you found a loophole to this little game of cat and mouse they were playing with you.
Despite her protests and Ashidoâs pouts, you drew another name from the hat, passing the torch of attention over to Sato as he was picked.Â
Once he picked truth, you eagerly asked Sato if he would ever open his own bakery one day and he rubbed the back of his neck bashfully as he said he always wanted to but he wasnât sure that his creations were good enough.
You shouted incredulously, blurting out that you thought they were amazing along with the rest of the girls, Shoji even inputting that he thought that as well.
âThese truths are so tame.â Kaminari complained after almost everyone had gone once. âThere needs to be more dares.â
âOoooo, then why donât we switch it up!!â Uraraka said, her eyes shining excitedly at the prospect of a challenge. âOnly dares from now on!!â
âEh?!â You yelped. âWhat, why?!â
âYES, GREAT IDEA!!!!â Ashido squealed and you groaned, burying your face in your hands.Â
âNoâŚâ You moaned.Â
Aside from knowing that they had something up their sleeves planned for you, you were really not looking forward to doing whatever that was. You didnât want to be involved in any of this or have anybodyâs attention on you, all you wanted to do was watch your friends have fun.Â
This was going to be a disaster.Â
Ojiro chuckled as Kirishima threw an empty paper plate in Bakugouâs face but even he couldnât stop his heart from palpitating and he prayed that you couldnât feel it against your back.Â
You hugged Koko to your chest anxiously as the dares got more and more bold, elaborate and downright ridiculous.Â
Asui got dared to peck Tokoyami on the cheek, Sero got challenged to a match with Bakugou the next time they trained together and Yaoyorozu had to go without buying anything from online stores for three days.Â
The only reason why Sero didnât make it involve all the stores was because he knew sheâd go crazy.
And then, the dreaded time for your second turn came around.Â
Luckily, neither Ashido or Hagakure drew your name, it was Yaoyorozu instead.Â
Her eyes were sympathetic as she regarded your fidgeting form.Â
âY/N-chan,â She started, loud enough for everybody to hear. âYou must spend 30 minutes with Ojiro-san in the pantry.â
It was silent at first, then the uproar started.
âWHAT?!?!â You shrieked, your face bright red.
You couldnât see it, but Ojiro was wearing an identical expression of shock and embarrassment as Jirou laughed along with Uraraka and Kaminari, Iida loudly shouting for them to have some restraint.
âGo go go!!!â Ashido and Hagakure cheered together, yanking you up to your feet while Sato hauled Ojiro up to his, subsequently pushing the two of you together until you fell inside the pantry.
You immediately fell and Ojiro toppled in after you.
The lock that clicked sealed your fate and you whimpered at the sudden darkness that encompassed the two of you.
Ojiroâs eyebrows scrunched together in the dark, concerned that you had hurt yourself. âY/N?â
You feebly answered that you were okay, knowing that he must be worried about you, and your hands knocked into his as you scoured the tiled floor on all fours, searching for your fallen plushie in the cramped space.
âKokoâŚâ You whined, your eyes lighting up when your fingers brushed against something soft.
You could almost hear the smile in Ojiroâs voice. âThatâs my tail.â
You drew back, yelping in pain as the back of your head banged against the shelf and a lump got caught in your throat when Ojiro scrambled over you.
âY/N!! Are you okay?!â
You mumbled out an embarrassed yes, losing your ability to say anything else as he pressed up against you. He was so close.
Too close.
There was almost no breathing room between you two and all you could feel, hear, and sense was Ojiroâs labored breathing and the soft swish that his tail made as he balanced himself over you so he wouldnât crush you.
A pout formed on your lips and even though he couldnât see it, you made sure that the forlorn whine in your tone carried through. âKokoâŚâ
Ojiro fingers clumsily found yours and he breathed a sigh of relief at having found where you were. âIâm sure you just dropped her outside.â
You hummed disappointedly, ears flicking as you heard the conversation pick back up outside, indicating that the rest of your scheming friends resumed their game. At least you were in here and not out there in this predicament.Â
You didnât want to know what they would say if they say you guys like this.
âUm, Mashirao?â You whispered, scooting up a little bit so that you were sitting on your bottom.
It was a bit awkward. His knees bumped into yours more than once as he figured out how to situate himself and you squeaked when he pressed against you in an attempt to find space somewhere.Â
Repeating his name when he had settled down, opting for slotting his legs around yours that were propped up so that he was no longer crowding you, you sighed to yourself.
âHow long do you think itâs been?â You asked curiously, oblivious to the crimson staining his cheeks due to the lack of light.
Ojiro cleared his throat, forcing his tail to stop swishing nervously, lest he knock something over and clue you in on his anxiousness. Being in here with you and being this close was making his heart pound and his palms sweat.Â
It was too much, and at the same time, not enough.
Because he still had yet to tell you how he felt.
âY/Nââ He started quietly. âCan I ask you something?â
You were startled since you thought that he would just want to sit in silence until the time was up and you found yourself nodding instinctively before you realized he couldn't see you.Â
âY-Yes, of course you can.â You stammered out, cursing yourself for your inability to form a coherent sentence without stumbling over your words when you were around him.
Once. Just once you wanted to know what it was like to speak with complete and utter self-control and clarity when it came to him.Â
Your massive crush on him probably wouldnât ever let you.
Ojiro played with his tail absentmindedly, able to find a sliver of comfort in the familiar way it felt in his hands as he prepared himself for the inevitable heartbreak. âWho⌠Who do you like?â
You froze and you swore the temperature in the cluttered pantry dropped by several degrees.
âW-What?!â You squeaked.
âEarlier, when Ashido asked if you liked anyone⌠you said yes.â Ojiro reiterated, avoiding looking at you even though he knew you wouldnât judge him.
Not that you could, you could barely make out his shape in this darkened place.Â
âI-Iââ
You couldnât come up with an excuse for that one.Â
Ojiroâs tone morphed into curiosity. âWhat are they like?â
The underlying sadness went unnoticed as you frantically tried to think of a way out of this situation and you tripped over your words in your haste to get out.
âI⌠You⌠Argh!!â
Ojiro nearly jumped out of his skin as empty cans clattered down on the floor from where your tail had gone rogue and knocked them all off of the shelf. They really should get rid of those and free up some more space in the endlessly full pantry but Asui liked to use the empty ones for growing water lilies when they were nothing more than just a pink or white bud.Â
â... Y/N?â Ojiro prompted, hearing you go quiet.
You hesitated. You really didnât want to say this but all your thoughts were filled with him and only him. You hardly knew at this point if it was because you were actively trying not to think about him that made things this way or if you were really just that obsessed with him.
Iâm screwed, arenât I?
âHeâs kind.â
Ojiro broke out of his stupor once he realized you had actually answered him.
You smiled softly to yourself, envisioning the dumbfounded look that must be on his face, knowing thatâs how he got every single time you said something about him.Â
âHeâs sweet, not just to me, but to everyone else.â You continued quietly. âHis eyes always light up when something makes him happy and heâs such a good friendâ
Ojiro felt like he was hearing all of this underwater as you continued to speak so highly of this mystery guys, his heart breaking with every word you said. And he thought he was so sure that if you didnât return his affections, that you at least thought of him as a good friend but now he wasnât so sure after hearing all of that.
It seemed like this guy that you were crushing on hung the stars in the sky. You spoke of him like he was your whole world.
Ojiro swallowed thickly, blinking back tears.
Maybe this guy could take better care of you than he could.
You couldnât see it but you sensed the mood change in the air and shifting to move onto your hands and knees, you padded forward curiously, nervously wondering if he had figured it out and didnât return your feelings.
Pushing that aside once your ears picked up on the sound of his sniffles, your brow creased in concern, worried about him.
âM-Mashirao?! Are you okay?!â You asked frantically, keeping your voice low so that you didnât draw the attention of your friends outside. This would be the worst possible moment for them to open the door.Â
âIâm sorry, Y/N, Iâm fine.â Ojiro managed to respond, closing his eyes briefly to gather himself. âDonât worry, okay?â
Your being filled with apprehension as his hand skimmed the side of your face to find it in the dark before plopping on top of your head to ruffle your hair reassuringly. But you let out a slight whine when he pulled away quicker than normal.
âYou donât sound fineâŚâ You whimpered worriedly, nudging your nose against his hand as you located it easily.Â
While your eyes took a longer time to adjust seeing in the dark, your senses were sharp and you detected his ragged breathing as well as how his hands drew back before fisting at his sides.
He definitely wasnât okay.Â
And you thought you might be imagining it, but was that hurt in his voice that he tried to mask? Was he offended that you thought so highly of him?
Ojiroâs eyes glazed over as he heard you whimper sadly and he sucked in a breath. And even though his heart was shattered, he still wrapped his arms around you and tugged you close to him.
âY/N, Iââ His tongue felt thick in his mouth, unable to form the words he wanted to say and he sighed. âI hope you find happiness.â
You blinked up at him, tucking in your knees tight. You couldnât relax against him, physically incapable of it since the comfort his presence usually brought you was nowhere to be found at the heavy sadness in his tone.Â
You stuttered, âI-Iâ Mashirao, Iââ
âYou donât have to tell me who it is.â Ojiro said sorrowfully, hushing you quietly as his jaw clenched in jealousy. âI just hope that Shinsouâs able to protect you well enough.â
Bolting upright at the shock of his name, your jaw dropped. âShinsou?!â
Ojiro cocked his head to the side. âIsnât it him?â
You shook your head so fast that he felt the air whip around him from the force of your hair flying.Â
âTodoroki?âÂ
Another head shake, faster than the last.
âSato?â
No.
âShoji?â
No.
âKaminari?â
No.
âBakugou?â
No!!
Ojiro was running out of options. âThen who? Is he in our grade?â
âItâs you!!â You blurted out in frustration, unable to prevent yourself from holding back any longer.Â
Ojiroâs entire body tensed in shock, his eyes going wide at your confession and the hands on your waist stilled as he sucked in a sharp breath.
You pounded your fists on his chest, your head falling on his shoulder, unconsciously leaning into him and seeking him out as your anxiety took over.
âYou dummy.â You mumbled, shaking in fear of a rejection.Â
You shouldâve been more prepared for this. As the time ticked by, he still failed to say anything in response and your heart was going into overdrive.Â
Pushing his hands away, you tried to untangle from him but that apparently disrupted whatever trance he was in because his arms tightened around you, preventing you from getting up.
âNo, waitââ Ojiro protested, his mind spiraling as he tried to collect his thoughts before you could leave. âY/N!!â
Your skin prickled with unease at hearing him call it out so panicked, like he was afraid heâd lose you. You were the one who was worried about that, why should he care so much?
âItâs fine.â You sniffled, wiping your nose furiously with the back of your hand as you attempted to backpedal again, only to be stopped by his strong arms. âOjiro-san, let goââ
âMashirao.â Ojiro corrected brokenly. âYou⌠My name, call me by my given name.â
You swallowed hard, shaking your head against his shoulder as he squeezed you closely to him and you squirmed. You thought you had lost that privilege to call him by his first name, the intimacy a sour taste in your mouth as you realized that some other girl would get to call him that one day.
âY/N.â
You stopped fighting against him but refused to meet his gaze.
Ojiroâs hand slid under your jaw, tipping your head up and this close, you could see his eyes shining with emotion.
âItâs you.â He murmured breathlessly, his eyes softening as they filled with the deepest amount of pure love. âItâs always been you, Y/N.â
Gasping, you nearly choked as he rested his forehead against yours, his warm breath puffing out over your cheeks and you giggled uncontrollably as he pulled your legs across his, tucking your head under his chin.Â
âYou were talking about me?â
The disbelief in his voice had you wiggling out from under him.
âYeah,â You blushed, thinking about how much you gushed about him before he actually knew that you were referring to him. You thought it was obvious that you were talking about him. âWasâ I didnât mean to make you uncomfortable.â
Ojiro bumped his nose against yours reassuringly. âYou didnât.â
He could have hid it better if you were so close to him but since you were, you could feel the air around you stir as his tail thumped happily against the wall.Â
Though, you couldnât blame him. Yours was just as bad, hitting his side every time and you were about to apologize when he pressed a kiss to the crown of your head.
âI love you.â Ojiro confessed softly, his heart pounding in his ears as he finally told you what he had wanted to tell you for so long.Â
From the very first moment he saw you, he knew he wanted to protect you. He wasnât sure when that feeling morphed into something stronger, paired with the desire to call you his but the pang that went through his heart every single time he saw you with someone else clued him in that his feelings may have run deeper than he was willing to admit.Â
You tried to stop it but a wide smile still spread from ear to ear and your heart skipped a beat. âYou do?â
He nodded, bending his knees slightly to bring you impossibly closer and you giggled at the action, recalling what had happened before Hagakure had accidentally interrupted you.
âIs that what you were about to say earlier?â You asked curiously.Â
Ojiro floundered for a second, trying to think of a half-believable excuse that you would take, but then realized he had nothing to hide now that you already knew. He chuckled slightly and nodded, albeit nervous when you started playing with his hands.
âY/N?â He whispered, his exhales hitting the top of your head as he held you.
You smiled to yourself, unable to explain the happiness that swelled in your chest, skyrocketing the moment he said that.
âI love you too.â You replied softly.Â
As cheesy as it sounded, it was true.Â
He was your first friend, your first confidant, the first person you fell in love with and now, your first boyfriend. He was the person you trusted the most next to your dad.
You laughed slightly, your tail fluffing out in embarrassment, unsure of why you were laughing but you supposed it had something to do with the fact of the astonishment that your pining after him hadnât been for nothing.
It was mutual.
To be honest, your head was still reeling and you werenât sure you were going to be coming down from cloud nine anytime soon.Â
Ojiro smiled down at you fondly, his heart squeezing as you beamed up at him joyously.Â
âPrincessâŚâ He murmured softly.
Your ears perked up happily and you rubbed your nose against the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent deeply. It rolled over you in waves and a happy rumble emitted from the back of your throat.Â
â... I like it when you call me thatâŚâ You mumbled shyly, burrowing your face into his neck when he tried to catch a glimpse of your face.
Ojiro smiled, elated. âPrincess~â
âNoooooooooâŚâ You whined, hitting his shoulder weakly. âDonât tease me.â
He let out a small laugh, his eyes twinkling with humor. âSorry, princess.â
âYou donât sound sorry at all.â You grumbled but you werenât really upset about it.Â
You couldnât wait to hear it more often, more freely and similarly, Ojiro couldnât wait to use it all the time since it was practically second nature to him by now.Â
You were just so pure, so soft. Oh All Might, he loved you so much.Â
It was close to a year since he first met you and he couldnât help it. He fell for you so hard but he didnât regret a thing. And he couldnât wait to tell Holly.Â
She would be jumping for joy the instant he told her, he could already see it.Â
Ojiro tapped your knee lightly to catch your attention as you continued to trace random patterns on his chest. â... What do you think about messing with them a bit?â
You sat up straighter, knowing exactly who he was talking about, a mischievous grin slipping onto your face as he whispered the plan into your ear.
It was payback time.Â
Half an hour went by rather quickly, most of Class 1-A eagerly awaiting to see what the current situation inside the pantry was.
Most were hoping that a confession of some sort had taken place, since Tokoyami was exasperated on how clueless the two of you were around each other.Â
Seriously.Â
You guys had been chasing each other for months now. Everyone was getting sick of the puppy love, memory on all of their phones stocked with snapshots of the two of you together when you were looking.Â
At first it was cute, but honestly, seeing you chase your own tail would be more adorable and endearing than seeing the two of you stammer around each other like it was nobodyâs business.Â
Ashido and Uraraka hoped that you and Ojiro would be kissing when they threw open the door but that wasnât exactly what the picture was.Â
Instead, an image of you on the floor across from Ojiro greeted the entirety of the class.
Kaminari nearly fell off of Kirishimaâs head from where he was stacked on top of him and Jirouâs eyes widened in surprise.Â
Bakugou scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. âTook you extras damn long enough.â
There you sat. With a chip halfway to your mouth.Â
âSeriously?!â Hagakure shrieked incredulously.
âI was hungry!!â You cried out, it coming out more muffled than you intended as your cheeks bulged hilariously. You looked more like a chipmunk in that moment rather than the wolf that you were.
âWhatâs your excuse?â Tokoyami asked blankly, catching his friend snacking alongside you.
Ojiro shrugged nonchalantly, popping a wasabi snack in his awaiting mouth and smacked his lips obnoxiously. âI was following her.â
Sero snickered and Kirishima grinned at his cheeky response. There was a glimmer in his eye that wasnât present before and they knew that no matter how comfortable the two of you looked, something had changed between you.
Something for the better.
âTHEY CONFESSED!!!!!â They chorused together, dancing around while wildly waving their arms about as they did a jig.Â
You almost choked, cheeks going rosy. âEh?! W-Waitââ
âFINALLY!!!!â Ashido squealed. âTHAT TOOK FOREVER!!!â
Ojiroâs expression matched yours in terms of mortification and he leaned forward as you shuffled behind him to hide.
âY/N, you alright?â He asked softly as your classmates continued to chime in with how long that took and how much things were going to change.Â
You both blushed when Shoji told an excited Kaminari that it also meant you guys had the ability to kiss from now on, the girls cooing and most of the guys gagging.Â
âYeah, I-Iâm okayâŚâ You mumbled into his back, finishing the rest of your food and taking his hand that helped you up. âThank you.â
Ojiro smiled at you and this time, in the light, you could see how clearly radiant he was.Â
âYouâre welcome.â He whispered quietly, hugging you once more before you both rejoined the chaos that was your class.Â
It took another few minutes to actually make your way back to the common room couches where everyone else had gathered because you pouted and said you wanted to stay in his arms longer.
That, and Ojiro was weak when it came to you.
You bounced when you jumped onto the couch, Shoji steadying you when it looked like you were about to fall and you flashed him a grin in thanks.Â
Shoji shook his head at your antics and Ojiro, who had been grabbing you a few more snacks from the pantry, rushed over, scanning over you to make sure you werenât hurt.Â
You popped a cookie in your mouth. âWufdidwemwis?â
Jirou blinked. âWhat?â
Breaking off a piece, you smiled broadly and it only grew wider when Ojiro handed you the discarded lion plushie you had lost a hold on when you were yanked to your feet. Squealing happily, you hugged it tight to your chest, beaming up at him in thanks.Â
âWhat did we miss?â You repeated, smothering Koko with hugs and kisses.
Todoroki didnât even look like he moved once from his spot, in the exact same spot that you saw him last and he didnât spare you a glance as he held up a feather just out of Sobaâs reach so that he could bat at it playfully.
âKaminari gave Jirou the chocolates he made for her, Ashido asked Kirishima out on a date and Asui has to go with Iida to switch out Aizawa-senseiâs sleeping bag to see if he notices it.â Todoroki relayed impassively before blinking once, realizing he had left one out.
âOh, and Midoriya kissed me.â He deadpanned and your jaw fell to the floor.
âWHATTTTTT?!?!?!â You wailed. âI missed all of that?!?!?!â
Todoroki shrugged, playing with his kitten too much to pay any attention to your outcry. âIt wasnât much.â
âWASNâT MUCH?!?!?!â
He merely nodded. âI didnât get to kiss him back.â
Ashidoâs hand punched up in the air. âNext dare is for Todoroki to kiss Midoriya!!!â
âOkay.â Todoroki agreed, brushing off his clothes before getting close to a flushed Midoriya, yanking him over to smash his lips onto his.
The whoops and hollers echoed throughout the common floor, even Bakugou smirking as the damn nerd owned up to his crush. It was fucking weak to hold out for that long.Â
Confrontations were for the strong and brave of heart, just like he was.Â
Proudly, he watched from the sidelines. They were all shitty extras but they were his circle of extras and heâd be damned if he let anyone else say shit about them.Â
They were fucking happy.
Nevermind the fact that Kirishima and Kaminari were blushing ten different shades of crimson, Jirou was hiding in the corner with Shoji and Yaoyorozuâs aid as she tried to dodge all the questions you flung her way the second that Ashido exposed all the ships that sailed while you and Ojiro were having a heartfelt conversation.
âSpill it!!!â You exclaimed, shaking her shoulders furiously as though that was going to get her to answer you faster. âYou have to tell me what happened!!! Kaminari gave you the chocolates already?! I missed it!!!!â
âAck, calm down!!â Jirou shouted at you, blushing violently. âItâs not that big of a deal!!â
âNOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL?!?!?!â You yelled, your tail twice its size as you bounded in circles around her. âHE NEVER LIFTS A FINGER FOR ANYONE ELSE!!!â
âHey!!â Kaminari pouted, insulted.
You grinned, planting your hands firmly on your hips. âItâs true.â
âH E Y.â He enunciated as he frowned, clearly put off and he lunged at you playfully.
You spent the rest of the night playing a deadly game of tag with the extremely flustered electric blond, having mercy on Kirishima cause the poor boy looked like he might faint at any moment.
Ojiro only got involved when you jumped over the couch and into his waiting arms to escape from the madman and he laughed when you claimed him as a safety spot.Â
Kaminari complained at your immunity, saying you needed it at the beginning for it to be effective but you shook your head stubbornly, looping your arms around a blushing Ojiroâs neck and sticking your tongue out at him childishly.
âPrincessâŚâ Ojiro chastised quietly but his low voice wasnât enough to escape Jirou and Shojiâs enhanced hearing.
âPrincess?â Jirou asked curiously.Â
The rest of your classmatesâ jaws dropped in shock.Â
âPRINCESS?!?!?!â They all thundered unanimously.Â
Iida instantly shot up to his feet. âStop it, youâre embarrassing them!!!â
Too late for that.
You giggled. Even if it was, it didnât matter. You had them all by your side and you wouldnât have it any other way.Â
âSo let me get this straight, Ashido asked you out on a date?â You questioned slyly, aware of you pink-haired friendâs crush on him. You just didnât think sheâd act on it so soon.
âMore like demanded.â Kirishima corrected dutifully, pink dusting his cheeks.
Ashido loomed over him. âEh?! I asked!! And you said yes!!â
âWah!!â Kirishima shouted, waving his hands frantically once he realized he gave off the wrong impression. âThatâs not a bad thing, Minaâ ack, wait!!â
Their antics dislodged Koko from your hold and you immediately burst into tears.
âWahhhhh!!!â
The plushie was instantly thrown back at you by a disgruntled Bakugou and your cries ceased.
âThank you, Boom Boy!!â You cheered.
His forehead creased in irritation and he scowled. âDonât fucking call me that.â
âHey,â Ojiro cut in, his eyebrows furrowing. âCome on, donât swear at her.â
You waved it off, not minding it in the slightest. âItâs okay, thatâs just Boom Boyâs love language.â
âHah?! Like hell it is!!â Bakugou exploded at you and you rolled your eyes.
âSee?â
âSAY IT TO MY FACE, DUMBASS!!!â
And when 3 am rolled around, everyone was passed out on the couches and sprawled in different places across the floor.Â
Iida was sitting upright on the couch, Yaoyorozu asleep on his shoulder. They looked normal, but they were the only ones.Â
Kirishima and Ashido had stayed up late talking, falling asleep against each other until they lost their balance and crashed to the ground, effectively waking them both up. They moved to a spot near the coffee table after that.Â
Kaminariâs mouth was hanging open, a dribble of drool obeying gravity from where he was hanging upside down like a monkey, the string of saliva pooling on Tokoyamiâs cloak.
He was going to be pissed when he woke up.Â
The rest of the girls had bunched together, making a fort at the last minute so that they could all sleep in it.Â
Shoji was responsible and brought down blankets for those that wanted them, even throwing a few over some that he felt needed it.Â
Cough, Bakugou, cough.
Bakugou had passed out second to last, determined to claim his victory over you but you flicked his nose just as he was knocked out, a cheeky grin stretching from ear to ear.
You won.Â
And when Aizawa arrived with Eri and Shinsou in the morning to help the latter move into his new dormitory, he raised an eyebrow at the mess that greeted him as Eri immediately bounded over to where you were, shaking you awake.
It didnât pass unnoticed how you were tangled with Ojiro, your tail draped lazily over your own hip as his sturdy one was wrapped around your waist, tugging you impossibly close.Â
Aizawa heaved out a sigh, numbly pointing out where the elevators were so that Shinsou could get started before everyone else started to get up and make breakfast.Â
He wasnât sure he approved of this, you two would face many challenges on your way to becoming pros, not to mention the hardships that would come with making this relationship work once you guys graduated but that all faded away the second he came closer to see you.
Ojiroâs hand was cradling your head carefully, even though he was unconscious, cushioning it in your sleep so that you were comfortable and your own hands had gone lax in fisting his shirt, probably in a sleepy attempt to draw him closer to you.Â
The corner of Aizawaâs mouth twitched humorously as Eri tried shaking you awake, only for you to roll further into Ojiro and snuggle into his chest, the said boy pulling you closer the instant you did with a contented sigh.
Oh well⌠Aizawa thought to himself as Eri drifted back to his side and softly asked if she could go upstairs and help Shinsou unpack. I suppose it could be worse.Â
She couldâve fallen for Bakugou instead.
Long Night in the Valley, Chapter 6
Plans were made.
And discarded.
Different plans were made. Â
These were also discarded. Â
The problem (besides the fact that their best planners (except Yaoyorozu) were out of commission) was that no one knew what needed to be done. If anything. Â Yes, Midoriya had run out of the testing center. Â Yes, the whole situation where Midoriya was initially placed in a group apart from all the rest of them was shady. Â Yes, the fact that Aizawa and the other half of class was still missing was distressing. Â
But they didnât know what was actually happening. Â They didnât know if the others needed help, or what help they would need. Â They didnât know why Midoriya was running, chased by heroes of all things. Jirou had wondered out loud if Midoriya had been mind-controlled by a villain with a quirk like Shinsouâs. Â In response, Kaminari had a (brief) breakdown agonizing about whether he had inadvertently helped a villain kidnap his friend.
What a mad banquet of darkness. Â
Luckily, they were training for⌠well, not situations like these, to be honest, but situations.  Just. In general.  Dark, mysterious situations, where one wrong step could send a person plummeting into an abyss of misery.
Anyway. Â
When in such a vexing a perilous situation, the thing to do, as Momo had pointed out, was gather information. Â
Was Jirou plugged into the wall? Â Yes. Â Did Shouji manifest enough ears and eyes to make even Fumikage slightly disturbed? Yes. Â Did Yaoyorozu make tiny listening devices that fit on the mice and insects that Kouda had called? Â Yes. Â Did Kaminari spontaneously manifest hacking skills that no one knew about and then deny that they were hacking skills? Â Yes. Â Had Dark Shadow pressed herself flat to sneak under doors and temporary room partitions?
Also, yes. Â
He tugged on Dark Shadow with his mind, directing her to return.
âFind anything new?â he asked. Â Tsuyu, his current partner in not-crime-quite-yet and lookout, leaned closer as well, interested. Â
âThe lady whose quirk they were using passed out,â reported Dark Shadow. Â âEveryone she used it on is still asleep.â
âNothing about Midori?â asked Tsuyu. Â
Dark Shadowâs facial expressions were often limited, but, this time, her scowl was clear. Â âStupid stuff.â
âLike?â
Dark Shadow huffed, and Fumikage felt her annoyance. âLike heâs a villain or a spy. Stupid.â
Tsuyu closed her eyes and swallowed with obvious distaste.
âDo you think thatâs why he ran? Â It seems unlike him.â
âHuh?â said Dark Shadow. Â âMidori didnât run.â
âWhat are you talking about, Dark Shadow?â asked Fumikage. âSpeak clearly.â
Dark Shadow elbowed him. Â âMidoriâs friends ran!â
âYou mean Ochako, Todoroki, and Iida?â asked Tsuyu.
âNo, theyâre still asleep. Â His friends. Â Like you and me are friends, Fumi!â
âYou mean his quirk?â
âUhhuh,â said Dark Shadow, bobbing. Â âTheyâre like us. Â Isnât it obvious?â
âNot really,â said Tsuyu. Â
Fumikage leaned and against the wall and slid down to put his head in his hands. Â âWhat a mad banquet of darkness, indeed. Â It is as if we journey at night, through a verdant and shadowy valleyââ
âCome on, we have to tell the others,â said Tsuyu, nudging him.
.
âWhat happened?â asked Hitoshi, softly, not quite believing what heâd heard.  He rubbed his fingers over the folds of his artificial vocal cords, stored in the top pocket of his backpack.  Legally speaking, he wasnât supposed to have it, or any hero support gear, outside the school he wasnât licensed, even provisionally.   But Hizashi had insisted, and Kayama-sensei didnât object, so⌠Â
âAccording to the Hero Commission,â said Hizashi, voice tighter than his hands around the wheel, âShouta and some of the 1-A students were targeted by a villain at the testing center.â
âWhat? Â What villain? Shigaraki?â Â That was the one that had been targeting 1-A again and again and again. Â The one that had hurt him so badly at the USJ. Â
âNo,â said Hizashi. Â âThey said it was Midoriya.â
Hitoshi blinked, his brain first trying to find a villain that matched the name before shoving his fellow studentâs face into his mindâs eye. âYou mean, heâs the one that wound up fighting the villain. Â How many bones did he break this time? Â Or did he get a new quirk?â
âNo,â said Kayama-sensei. Â âTheyâre really saying that Midoriya is a villain.â
âThatâs the dumbest thing Iâve ever heard,â stated Hitoshi. âThey think the second coming of All Might sunshine child is a villain? Â If he got locked in Tartarus, half the population would, I donât know, start confessing their sins and become model citizens before the day was out. Â If his quirk wasnât bone-breaking nonsense, Iâd say it was the power of friendship.â Â He stopped, considered that last sentence. Â âWait, this is about his quirk, isnât it?â
âWe donât know,â said Hizashi. Â
âTheyâre saying he kidnapped All Might.â
Hitoshi wondered if this was what people felt like when he used his quirk on them, because his brain had just bluescreened and was struggling to restart. Â
âTheyâre what?â screeched Hizashi. Â It was a good thing he was the one driving the car. Â Hitoshi winced and covered his ears. Â
âDidnât All Might steal Vlad-senseiâs car?â asked Hitoshi, feeling dazed. Â âHow do you get from that, to Midoriya kidnapping him from across town.â
âI donât know,â said Kayama, âbut itâs all over Heronet and the commission is starting to release it to news networks.â
âThat has to be the- the stupidest thing I ever heard! Iâd put more money on Yagi kidnapping Midoriya,â said Hizashi, loudly and angrily. Â
âWhat the rat god said before we left makes much more sense now,â said Kayama, mournfully. Â
Hitoshi blanched at her reference to the principal. Â But then curiosity got the better of him. Â âWhat did he say?â
âThat to keep custody of all our staff and students, we were going to have to be creative.â
.
Hizashi had expected many things upon arriving at the testing center. Â Being refused access to the unconscious teacher and students was one of them. Obstructive bureaucracy was one of them. People telling him something was illegal or forbidden by protocol when he knew it wasnât was one of them. Â Chaos was one of them. Â Confusion was one of them. Â Lack of organization was one of them. Â
In these things, he was not disappointed. Â
What he didnât expect, however, was for the remaining half of Shoutaâs class to not only be one hundred percent down with kinda-sorta kidnapping, but to have already laid a lot of the groundwork for it already. Â
Maybe he should have. Â But he didnât. Â How was it that Shouta, aka Mr. Expulsion, aka Mr. âyou have no potential,â had kept all the students from a class that had no scruples against committing things that most people would consider crimes? Â A class that, having been given time to bond, would probably collectively turn to villainy rather than betray one of their number?
He paused and considered his long relationship with Shouta. Mentally squinted. Â Never mind. Â He could see it now. Â
Well. Â It wasnât as if Hizashi wasnât like that, too. Â Heâd never really considered expelling any of them. Â Except Mineta. Â Grape Juice was on thin ice. Â
âWe most likely would have acted already,â Yaoyorozu said as the rest of the class distracted the commission officials who were supposedly supervising the pickup of the children, âbut we didnât know what weâd do after. No escape plan.â
Reasonable. Â The bus driver (Green Light, the Transit Hero) had gone back to the school after dropping them off and had to turn around once he heard the news. Â
But, now, Recovery Girl was coming around with a fleet of ambulances from the hero hospital UA contracted with. Â A hospital that was, incidentally, not the same as the one the Hero Commission wanted to bring all the people still affected by Saitoâs quirk. Â
Ambulances had room for riders. Â It was unorthodox, but it would work. Â
âWell, you have one now,â said Hizashi, quietly. Â No one expected him to be quiet. Â It made him almost invisible when he was. Â
âI know you already have a plan,â interjected Hitoshi. âBut is there anything I can do?â
Momo blinked. Â âActually, yes. Â We could get them out anyway, but it would help a lot if we had the keys.â
.
The search for Uraraka hadnât been going well before the city started to fall apart around them. Â In fact, it had been going incredibly poorly, because various versions of All Might kept popping up to try and punch Suzukiâs face off. Â Literally. Â At least two of the All Mights had declared that as their intention prior to attacking.
Tenya wasnât sure if he should be concerned about his friendâs mental state or baffled about his incredibly violent mental view of All Might.
Perhaps the eyeless villain in Kamino had left a strong impression on him? Â But All Might couldnât have been responsible for the villainâs injuries! It was All Might. Â He hardly ever injured villains he took down. Â
On the other hand, the villain at Kamino had been terrifyingly strong. Â If there were to be an exception to the rule, he was certainly it. Â
But the real reason, in Tenyaâs opinion, the search had been going poorly was Suzuki. Â The man would not stop talking. Â His theories were even worse than Todorokiâs!
âThat All Might is fake,â he was saying. Â âHe isnât even using his quirk, just like Midoriya.â
âI think we all know that the All Might that exists in Midoriyaâs mind is not, in fact, the real All Might,â said Aizawa. Â
âThis destruction is just another ploy, another distractionââ
âWe get it,â said Aizawa. Â âBut it isnât centered around us, so, logically, it must be centered around Uraraka.â
Suzuki scoffed. Â âWe should be looking for what Midoriya is trying to hide.â
âThe only reason we arenât beating you up right now,â said Aizawa, âis that we are looking for Uraraka. Â So, shut up.â
âWhat about me?â
Tenya whipped around to see Uraraka stooped over behind them, breathing heavily, hands on her knees. Â âSorry,â she said, âI ran all the way here.â
Aizawa hurried over to her. Â Tenya noted that he never quite turned his back to Suzuki. Â
âWhat happened?â he asked. Â âWhere were you?â
âD- Izuku wanted to talk to me,â she said. Â âHe said something dangerous was about to happen, but if we went farther in, we could maybe get out?â Â
Under normal circumstances, the overly vague report would have been cause for scolding, but Tenya could see how her eyes flicked to Suzuki. There were details she didnât want him to hear.
âDid he say how to go further in?â asked Aizawa. Â
âNo. Â That happened and he ran off.â Â She gestured towards another building that was slowly collapsing. Â
âWait a moment,â said Suzuki. Â âIf youâre here, whatâs there?â
âUh,â said Uraraka. Â
âHe told you, didnât he? Â What did he say?â
âExcuse me!â said Tenya. Â âYou are being very rude right now! Â Uraraka has just come back from a harrowing experience!â
Tenya was not very good at lying, but this wasnât really a lie, per-se. Â
The distinction didnât seem to matter to Suzuki, who gave him a brief, incredulous look before turning back to the gathering storm. Â âHe doesnât want us to see this.â
âDonât you dare,â said Aizawa, eyes narrowing.
Suzuki didnât listen.
Tenya caught up to him without any trouble and punched him in the back of the head. Â âOw,â said Tenya, who had forgotten he wasnât wearing his hero costume. Â
âDid you break your fingers?â asked Aizawa as he dragged Suzuki back by the foot. Â
âIâm going to have you all arrested and stripped of you licenses, unlessââ
âBecause we didnât help you with an illegal interrogation? No, youâre not,â said Aizawa.
âNana!â
The voice bounced off the buildings and was swept away by the wind. Â
âNana! Â Master, where are you?â
It was the voice of the younger, vigilante All Might. Â
âIs he calling the name or the number?â asked Uraraka. Â
âMaster! Â Please! Answer me!â
With a shuddering heave, the building right next to them tipped over, falling into rubble before it even hit the ground. Â The storm wind, heavy with rain and lightning, whipped down the street with all the force of a hurricane. Â Tenya had to brace himself and cover his eyes. Â
When he could see again, it was to discover Suzuki had run off again. Â Towards the fallen building. Â
Tenya was honestly torn between letting him get beaten up by whatever had flattened the building, whether it be Midoriyaâs subconscious, the illusory All Might, or something worse. Â Although, arguably, all those were the same the same thing. Â
But Tenya was training to be a hero. Â Heroes couldnât pick and choose who to save. Â He, and everyone else took off after Suzuki. Â
They all stopped, though, when a boy in a torn UA uniform clambered over the rubble. Â The boy cupped his hands around his mouth. Â âNana!â
That hair was recognizable from a mile away, not to mention the height. Â All Might. Yet a different version. Â Tenya had known UA was All Mightâs alma mater, but seeing him in a uniform like this, seeing him vulnerable, not in the way of a man at the end of his career, but as someone just starting out, someone like them, was oddly humbling and completely terrifying. Â
What pushed him to this? Â What put that distraught tone in his voice? Â What put that bloody slash in his uniform and bruised his face?
Tenya had a sinking suspicion he knew what. Â He didnât even want to come into contact with the memory of that monster from Kamino. Â
All Might was scanning the ground, looking for- Looking for something. Â Someone?
His eyes fell on them, and even from this distance, Tenya could see them widen. Â All Might began to scramble down the hill. Â
âYou,â he shouted, as he came closer. Â âYouâUnderclassmen. Â Have you seen-?â Â He gasped for air. Â
Even Suzuki, from what he could see, looked taken aback. Â
âHave you seen a woman aboutââ He hesitated and adjusted his hand downward, to about the height of his chin. Â Which was still taller than Tenya. Â
All Might was tall in high school. Â Or, at least, Midoriya thought All Might was tall in high school. Â
This was confusing. Â
âA woman about this tall. Â SheâsâShe has black hair, and she wears it, um, half up.â Â All Might fanned his hand behind his head to illustrate. âSheâs a hero. Â Wears- Wears yellow gloves.â Â He paused for a moment, eyes flicking from one to the next. Â âYou havenât seen her.â Â He whipped back around. Â âNana!â
âWhat even is this supposed to be?â demanded Suzuki. Â
âTruly,â said Todoroki, âtheir bond is inspiring.  For All Might to tell Midoriya even of this tragedyâŚâ
âTodoroki! Â Thatâs entirely inappropriate!â exclaimed Tenya, turning to face his classmate. Â
The wind picked up again. Â The buildings began to twinkle. Â
Earlier, you said something about being a vigilante. What was up with that, anyway?
Midoriyaâs voice sounded like it was right next to him, and yet the sound was entirely sourceless. Â
The colors shifted.
.
Izuku wasnât sure if he wanted to curse the bystander culture encouraged by the hero system or bless it for its unintentional effects. Â Even though Toshinori was clearly suffering, slumped against a wall and shoulders heaving, no one stopped to help him. Â In fact, most people were averting their eyes, barely looking at him. Â
Generally speaking, Izuku decided, heâd curse it. Â In this particular instance, however, it benefitted them. Â
He looked back and forth before dashing across the street, not caring about jaywalking at the moment. Â He jogged up to Toshinori, swallowing the name before it left his lips. Right. Â They were undercover, and the commission definitely knew Toshinoriâs real name. Â
âDad,â he said instead, and mentally felt himself collide with a wall. Â Couldnât he have picked something else? Â Come up with some fake name? Â Or just not used a name to begin with. Â With effort, he picked himself up and his dream-self kept running. Â âI got your text,â he said, instead, for the benefit of anyone listening. Â He inserted himself under one of Toshinoriâs arms. Â âLetâs go home.â
He smiled at a couple of people who were staring and hoped they wouldnât report this. Â
âI can walk, I can walk,â said Toshinori heaving himself off the wall with a shudder. Â âIâm fine.â
This was a lie. Â Izuku could still see the flashback playing out in his mindâs eye. Â Even so, he nodded and tried to give Toshinori space, even as Toshinori put one hand on his shoulder and leaned on it heavily. Â
This mental invasion was wearing both of them out. Â No. Â All of them out. Â This was not, they reminded him, at all normal. Â
Five gently pressed ways of dealing with flashbacks into his awareness. Â Thank goodness for Five and his comparative normalcy. Â
âWeâre okay,â he said. Â âWeâre just on a street in Musutafu. Â You can feel me, right? Â And the sidewalk under your feet. Â And you can hear the traffic and smell the cars.â Â He kept going.
Toshinori gave a hum of assent after each item Izuku listed, but he could tell it wasnât enough. Â He might be able to see and hear, to touch and taste, but he could do the same things to that mental battleground. Â
âWhat if,â said Izuku, desperately, âyou tell me a story?â
âA story?â rasped Toshinori. Â
âY-yeah. Â Earlier, you said something about being a vigilante. Â What was up with that, anyway?â
.
It isnât well known, said Yagiâs voice as the world came back into focus in an entirely different city with entirely different weather and signage, but I didnât grow up in a terribly pleasant area. Â
In fact, there was quite a lot of crime. Â
Aizawa caught sight of a familiar head of yellow hair positioned above a plain gakuran. Â The younger version of Yagi was staring down an alleyway. Â
Suddenly, Aizawa felt himself pulled to stand right behind Yagi. A man with a mutation quirk was being mugged by two young men with fire quirks. Â He blinked. Â The scene didnât change, even behind his eyelids. Â He couldnât see his students, or Suzuki. Â
What was this, a cutscene?
I, ah, rather disliked that.  Obviously, my thoughts about become a symbol of peace for the world were, well⌠Just thoughts.  But even then, for my own little corner of the world, I wanted to make a difference.
Yagi, showcasing the fact that heâd always been a bit of an idiot, pulled on a medical mask and threw his bookbag at one of the muggers and punched the other one in the face. Â At least he wasnât using his quirk to do it. Â The villain would have been paste on the side of the building. Â
On the other hand, this was presumably some imagining of Midoriyaâs, possibly based on a story he heard from All Might, if the voiceover was anything to go by. Â
Oh, said Midoriya, I did that a couple of times. Â Stop a mugging, I mean. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
I thought you said you werenât involved in any vigilantism.
It wasnât vigilantism! Â They were just things I happened to run into, and I couldnât just not help.
Sometimes, I wonder if your quirk really isnât something like a villain magnetâŚ
The scene shifted again, making Aizawa feel dizzy, even though he wasnât moving. Â Except, maybe that was why he felt dizzy. Â Motion sickness. Â
I never knew my parents. Â I grew up in a foster home. Â
Aizawa blinked, and the scene became clear. Â A small apartment building with a tiny, tattered lawn. Someoneâs shoe had been left on the sidewalk in front, and Yagi was climbing the stairs to the door. Â
Then, Aizawa was inside, and internally wincing at the noise level. Â Screaming preteens were so far out of his comfort level you couldnât see it with a telescope. Â
(The exception, of course, was Eri.)
As he watched, Yagi was shoved several times, tripped, and had a water-manipulation quirk used to drop something that Aizawa suspected was toilet water on his head. Â
Overall, the attitude towards people like us wasnât quite what it was now, but to be parentless on top of that? Â Many of the other children at the home thought there had to be something wrong with me. Â There was a sigh. Â Judging from what Iâve seen of your memories, I suspect you had the worse time of it.
I had Mom, though.
Aizawa found himself in a small bedroom. Â Pinned to one of the walls was a corkboard. Â Which looked distressingly like Todorokiâs. Â Yagi crossed his arms as he contemplated it.
Once I had built up my confidence, one of the things I was trying to do was find out about a human trafficking ring.
Oh, yeah, those suck. Â
⌠Why do I feel like you have personal experience in the subject. Â
It wasnât my fault. Â
Soft, fond laughter filled the room before it was whisked away and replaced with a warehouse that just screamed âvillain hideout.â
There was a fight. Â
I tried my best, tried to be sneaky⌠I knew I wouldnât win in a straight-out fight.  ButâŚ
Yagi was surrounded and clearly losing. Â Then the doors burst open. Â A figure floated, framed by the threshold, backlit by the streetlights.
First contact, whispered a voice like the wind.
Nana, said Midoriya. Â
Nana, agreed All Mightâs voice.  She saved me.  I⌠Didnât want to get caught.  I ran. Went back to the muggings. Â
And then?
And thenâ
Another change in scenery. Â A sidewalk by a stream. Â Yagi stood in his gakuran a few meters away from a woman in a hero costume. Â The yellow gloves stood out. Â
And then, a week later, she found me.
The womanâs head snapped in Aizawaâs direction, and he had just enough time to realize she could see him before the scene glitched out and he was falling through an empty sky.
