I’m sorry but Sabines story in Ahsoka should have been about her Mandalorian identity—not her being a sudden force user
I mean the emotional setup, impact, and payoff is there. Let me see Sabine reacting to The Night of a Thousand Tears. Let us have a story where one of the main characters is reacting to the utter devastation and destruction of her family, people, and home (because you know the empire did NOT stop at Mandalore alone). Genuinely seeing this and then having the payoff of her growing closer to ahsoka because of their shared losses (not bc they’re master and apprentice) and then getting Ezra back (bc it doesn’t bring back all of her family but it brings back him) would be so much better than seeing yet another force user begin to “trust in the force”
because at the end of the day, Sabine is a Mandalorian. Yes, she has ties to Jedi. Yes, she holds the blade of a Jedi. And sure maybe she is force sensitive (even though it came out of nowhere but I digress). All of this doesn’t matter though because she is—even when exiled—a Mandalorian.
#now maybe they’re trying to make a tarre parallel which alright#but I’d argue that parallel should go to grogu#But idk#give me more mandalorians being mandalorians in the shows please#And stop undoing the work of the animated shows while you’re at it#Yes this is partially inspired by how much I feel like live action Star Wars refuses to mention rebels#GIVE ME FENN AND URSA OKAY#Star Wars#ahsoka series#sabine wren#mandalorians#sunrise says many things
