YouTuber and synthesist Mylar Melodies did a video a few years ago about various uses of a sample and hold module that aren't "making that 1970s computer noise". One of them was running the clock at very high rates and sampling an audio signal, which ends up giving you an audio downsampler.

I didn't have anything that played audio handy when I went to try it, but I did have an old Boss metronome that has a "voice" mode, where it shouts the numbers of the counts — "One! Two! Three! Four!" — and running that through an amplifier and a resonant filter wound up with some interesting audio to chew on. I actually recorded it, but Tumblr is a coward and won't let me include a 15MB, 7 minute clip of an aimless jam session, which, now I consider it, is probably for the best.

Here we have an installation carried out in Ramsbottom just outside of Bury for a customer who had enough of the usual failures from other providers.

The client was in a residential area but that far from the exchange the speeds that were offered didn’t cap 15mbs at the best of times. He had suffered long enough and with him now working from home and using the zoom calls etc when everyone else was in the house the 15 mbs was pushed to the limit.

He finally took the plunge and ordered starlink which was delivered in 2 weeks and being offered out for a trial for a month. The dish was installed up on the chimney due to some tall trees surrounding the property.

Dish was online within 45 mins and speeds of 180mbs plus straight away.

so I'm running into a new and particularly annoying issue. pretty sure google is trying to have me pay for account storage. no matter what I do, I CANNOT get my account to clear up. I've deleted thousands of emails (not joking about that, I've spent hours going through and trying to clear old emails) + I've deleted a ton of old google docs. somehow no matter what I do it always stays or goes back to 15MB so I'm pretty sure big G just wants some money.

this is relevant because I use google drive for my writing. and currently, I'm not able to purchase storage because life is life and I don't have the funds to spare.

what I'm planning on doing is just using my other, new gmail account that I just so happened to make for my alt AO3 account, and I'm going to see if I can just use that right now.

unfortunately, all of my older writing is locked up because, per Google, I don't have the space to even EDIT my word documents on my original account. it's been swell.
