First impression: admittedly i do not remember. I first started watching this show like. Four/five years ago??

Impression now: this man is insane but he tries sooo hard to pretend that he is normal. And hes almost got everyone fooled too. Sadly for him, most people can tell that oh this man is deranged actually after getting to know him a bit better or after seeing him interact with House for more than a few minutes.

Favourite moment: this show is literally eight seasons long i could never possibly remember One Specific Favourite Moment.

Idea for a story: .....i actually wrote a house md fic a few years back that never got posted anywhere... It was a songfic about the Cancer my chemical romance song and it was about house and Wilson after the finale. Nice.

Unpopular opinion: nothing really comes to mind? Once again its been a while since i last was deranged about this show

Idea for a story

realizing ive never posted about the huac au aka aliens escaping persecution on their own planet ask for asylum by trapping tom and harry in a memory altered to their experiences and makes them think they are the down on their luck actors from the captain proton serials and best friends and roommates who are also in like the new york theater scene and associating with communists in the 1930s at the height of their serial fame but the work dries up and they are called to testify in front of huac and tom names names and harry is disgusted with him but tom never really gets much more work despite doing that to save his career and harry is blacklisted and they dont speak until years later they run into each other in a theater playing a movie by a blacklisted writer and stare at each other meaningfully and then go off to their lives and then like tom and harry wake up regular world and have to live with those fake memories and then they convince the captain to let the little aliens escape and so on

the otterverse is a roleplay series that my mutuals and anons are doing in my inbox. it all started in the STUPIDEST WAY POSSIBLE.

you see, this all started with reddits. if ya want info about that, this post is the history of the cloobies war. but tl;dr is reddits are a name for reddoons tits. yeah thats fucking right this all started with MINECRAFT YOUTUBER BOOBS.

it was actually pretty much a bit from the beginning, even if it wasn't ROLEPLAY. so from the very start we were Characters, not necessarily ourselves. it begins with divorce anon, named because of the argument they started between c!paci and c!felix.

what you need to know about divorce anon: they began as an anon asking about cloobies. read the history post linked above if ya wanna know about THAT. and then, this ask.

[deep breath] oh, past Pacific, how naive you were.

from this moment, divorce anon and c!paci began their love arc, waxing poetics to one another while c!felix was nowhere to be seen.

Additionally, please note :D anon was 'divorce anon's therapist /bit.' if you see them mentioned, that's who they are.

c!felix is, understandably, not pleased. I honestly do not know where or when or how to find the posts, but I'm sure at some point xe yelled /lh at c!paci for cheating on xem. again.

It should be noted that this whole time, the Lifesteal Brainrotting Discord was plotting and trying to figure out who divorce anon was. divorce anon spoke through my asks, until at some point they created an alt Discord account in order to actually join the Discord.

c!paci begins to go insane.

or, really, star was always insane. but now her more deranged side really begins to show. star murders someone, and asks if divorce anon is proud of them.

it's at this point that divorce anon warns c!paci, don't try to help them. c!paci doesn't listen.

and now the real chaos begins, because now more anons appear. wisp is accused of being divorce anon. lawyer anon and divorce anon's lawyer (@lawyer-lore) show up to defend moth.

so then everything gets really crazy for a while. lawyer anon and divorce anon's lawyer are in love now. wisp is NOT divorce anon. c!paci is increasingly annoyed and finally snaps.

divorce anon and c!paci begin quoting hamilton. the inbox quiets. all are watching them.

the infamous (at least to the mutuals) ask is sent.

Several asks later, c!paci shoots the ceiling of the theater (oh yeah, did i mention this is all happening in a theater? I believe it was meant to refer to the fact that some of this happened on lifesteal-headcanons, on that "stage"/before the audience of Lifestealblr).

c!paci and divorce anon are killed. a tragedy, a love that was never meant to be. c!felix lives (xe's a phoenix) but is bitter that c!paci left her for divorce anon. and so it ends.

wallace reveals itself as divorce anon. there's a day of quiet.

cc!felix and cc!paci write poems/stories about the newly named otterverse. u can find those HERE (paci) and HERE (felix).

and then act two begins.

Right, so you know how act one was hamilton, secret identity, cloobies, tragedy, etc? Well act two is cosmic horror, TMA, and wendys.

so while act one was pretty straightforward, I’d say act two is where it gets a bit confusing.

now, to be clear. c!paci is DEAD. this is c!otter, a new character.

so why don’t we just start with the arg? run by [REDACTED], it begins with a sequence of asks in binary code and continues with several cryptic messages. i haven’t spent much time figuring it out yet! but if anyone’s interested, read the saga HERE

next up, the cosmic horrors. blood (🩸) anon who is some sort of otherworldly being or something, lung (🫁) anon who wants to be god but is failing horribly /affectionate, pedant anon (aka the one who sent the copypasta) and several others, including crescent (🌒) anon, raccoon (🦝) anon, rose (🥀) anon, and my little guy worm (🪱) anon who sent exactly one ask and is now my (cc!paci’s) favorite lil dude ever.

this whole arc can be summarized as office worker who is not paid enough to deal with this shit meets cosmic horror entities and absolutely does not fear them. okay maybe slightly. also c!otter has adhd, fries dipped in milkshakes are good, and c!otter is taking the cosmic horrors to wendy’s.

if you see anons involved who aren’t mentioned, they’re returning anons. off the top of my head: harbinger anon, fairy (🧚✨) anon, joobies anon, paper anon, and suffering anon have all popped in to comment today.

late-night todd&farah thoughts/headcanon

having lydia and then dirk kidnapped from right under farah's nose probably was extremely traumatic to her, and combined with her canonical bad mental health and anxiety (which i headcanon to be linked to ocd), it probably made her extremely afraid for todd; i hc that she developed a compulsion to never ever let him out of her sight (because What If something bad happens the second she looks away!). todd wasn't perfectly fine with that, obviously, but neither of them was perfectly fine with just about anything at the moment, and both were nearly equally deranged

they didn't spend a day, an hour apart for weeks straight. this sort of total 24/7 intimacy & isolation was partially why/how she'd tricked herself into thinking that she was attracted to todd — and post-"breakup"/after figuring out they'd be better as friends she got better at recognizing this behaviour as unhealthy for her, though she still had trouble abstaining from it. and she and todd often joked that when dirk would be found and this mess was over and things were calm, the two would happily take the opportunity to ignore each other for a full week or so. and when this mess was actually over, they joked that "by spending some time away from each other i didn't mean that you should go fuck off into a parallel world!" and "by spending some time away from each other i didn't mean that you should go get shot and then stuck in a hospital for a month!"

a dghda s2/s3 theory: the universe meant for amanda to become an omniscient master of backstage knowledge, and friedkin took that place instead of her through a series of mistakes

(this post gets Very Long, but you can scroll right to the end for a TL;DR)

now, allow me to provide some context before i delve into an explanation

first, a precursory theory: if suzie boreton died like she was meant to, then lord triangle badevil would have became the mage's apprentice

in s2ep1 bart makes a choice not to kill suzie, even though she feels like she should; and then throughout the season the fact that suzie isn't meant to be a part of things is alluded to:

1) in the end of s2ep8 dirk gives his usual Case Solved speech where he explains how everything is connected, but he doesn't know how suzie boreton figures into things; she's not, technically, a part of his case

2) in s2ep10 todd asks her who is she and why is she there, and accuses her of being "some mom from montana", which further drives the point home

3) king francis has no knowledge of her either, even though he seems to be able to know relevant things that he could neither witness nor hear about (like farah and tina defeating the mage)

so, suzie's boreton entire character arc exists by mistake; and yet the prophecy (as foretold by wakti wapnasi, and as spoken by panto trost in s2ep3) makes a point about the great dark wizard finding his apprentice — that means that role was meant for someone.

lord triangle badevil is a mysterious figure who plays a significant role in the plot (his men kidnap farson and later amanda in s2ep4, he kills farson and thus causes a massive shoot-out in s2ep7, and he kills some people in his attempts to stop the prophecy in eps 9 and 10), and yet we know infuriatingly little about him, his goals and his views, like he was meant to be explored but got forgotten about.

he has markings on his face (pitch-black with negative-space geometrical figures) which are never discussed, but seem to be the same sort of marks that appear on arms of both the mage and suzie boreton from magic overuse, and that seems to suggest that he is, in some way, a magic user, or at least was exposed to magic somehow.

all things considered, i propose that lord triangle badevil, a mysterious actor of evil and supposedly a magic user, was meant to be the prophecied apprentice & the big bad, but got displaced by suzie, who wound up in the narrative by mistake.

next, an observation: wendimoor's magic, pararibulitis and backstage are closely linked

it's not much of a novel revelation, but i'm trying to be thorough, so here

— both amanda&todd and later friedkin could access backstage through the magical portals between earth and wendimoor

— most powerful beings of wendimoor (wakti wapnasi, the great witch; king francis) seem to be omniscient or close to, and omniscience is a backstage characterestic

(they both know things about earth they shouldn't be able to know, like wakti about amanda's name, or francis about farah&tina's win over the mage; and metaphysical things that are nigh impossible to be logically derived from facts, like holistics being the tools to fix the broken universe)

— pararibulitis expresses itself as tangible magic within wendimoor, and is tied to wielding the water/portals and to the visions

— visions are also a form of mystical knowledge, and thus could be sourced from backstage

(the exact reasons of how/why the connection between wendimoor and backstage could've happened have no bearing on this post, but so far my working theory is that the explosive creation of a whole new layer of reality pushed at the borders of the universe and stretched them/thinned them out, and that's why it's easier to slip from the material world of the universe to the immaterial not-world of the backstage when in wendimoor)

now, a couple of tidbits about amanda and the mandelbrot set:

— her name, amanda brotzman, is a pun on "mandelbrot set" (the showrunner talked about this somewhere; i don't know the source, i've learned about this somewhere in the ao3 comment section)

— mandelbrot set's visualisation is the shape that appears in people's eyes when they're backstage

— it's the same shape as on amanda's s2 jacket

— it's a recurring shape in her visions

(a tangent: now, i don't know much about mathematics so forgive me if i get the words wrong, but mandelbrot set's boundary is a fractal curve, meaning that if you zoom into the mandelbrot set's visualisation's border, you'll find more of the same shape, ad infinitum. this fun quality of the set has no bearing on this specific post and theories within it, but i think such a plot-important shape having this "as above, so below" flair to it could have meaning for the pontetial s3 plot)

— the prophecy mentions she-who-sees-all who was supposed to open a door into a dream, allowing through it dirk gently and the boy; that most probably references amanda, her visions and her ability to create portals through water

finally, the theory:

— amanda brotzman, mandelbrot set, visions, pararibulitis, wendimoor magic and backstage are all interconnected

— amanda was supposed to be she who sees all; backstage seems to have granted hugo friedkin omniscience

every time todd is asked why is he here, why is he doing any of this, he diverts back to amanda — his love, his life, his reason to exist, his, to be frank, emotional contingency plan

"todd, why are you so hell-bent on-"

"no, farah, no! we won't give up! we'll find dirk, and with dirk we'll find amanda, and when i find amanda everything will be alright!"

"todd, why are you even here? why are you with me when it's so dangerous and horrible and i can't even promise you anything?"

"dirk, listen, i really wanna find amanda, and i have reasons to believe she is being kept in the parallel fairytale world to which you are the key"

but in the end? he chooses dirk.

and it's not like in s1, when amanda firmly pushed him away and had the kindness of her heart to say "cmon, that dude makes you a happier and better person, don't avoid him"

no, this time around she invited him to live with her — something he had seemingly been chasing all that time

but he just. shrugged. declined. nah, sis, but thanks. his place is by dirk. he knows that. dirk, on some level, knows that too. it's not spoken about, and i'm not even sure that todd has the guts to admit it, but it's something he knows. he no longer has the space to pretend that his beloved baby sister is the centerpiece of all this bullshit. in the end, he verbally, directly, openly chose dirk.

and it's not something that either of them will forget about.

Figured that a pinned post would be a good idea to explain the conceptual baselines of this blog and whatnot, so here ya go.

-First off, blanket unreality warning for this entire blog. It is a pokemon irl rp account, after all.

-This blog follows the main series games canon, but locations and concepts from the adventures manga and the anime may be included. I will start an alternate blog for PMD canon stuff in the near future, too, so please hold off on PMD-universe questions until then! (I appreciate ya'll PMD homies, as PMD Blue Rescue Team was the first pokemon game I ever owned!)

-Pokemon that are considered gods include Arceus, the creation trio, the lake guardians, the super-ancient trio, the forces of nature quartet, the aura trio, the Tao trio, the guardian deity quartet, the light trio, and Regigigas.

-Other legendary/mythical pokemon are considered closer to cryptids or urban legends, as well as the ultra beasts, Cosmog + Cosmoem, the paradox duo and other paradox pokemon.

-Legendary/mythical pokemon that have been owned by trainers in the anime such as the lesser Regis, Heatran, Darkrai, and Latios (and by extension Latias) are considered exceedingly rare, and are sought after as subjects of study to verify the true nature of other legends.

-The Pocket Monsters Encyclopedia (released in 1996 in japan) states that pokemon are capable of shrinking down to fit in tight spaces, explaining how they fit into pokeballs. I imagine that this also explains the move minimize as well.

-Modern pokeballs have internal components that force the afforementioned shrinking behavior to occur. As for more ancient pokeballs, like the ones seen in PLA, I have a theory that I go into more detail on over on my main account + blog (https://www.tumblr.com/clockworkcorvus/702945786986643456/theory-pokeballs-were-re-invented?source=share), which I currently hold as my headcanon. TL,DR: old pokeballs used some underlying ruinic magic tomfoolery to achieve similar results to that of modern pokeballs, but the knowledge of said magic has been lost to time.

-This blog may discuss some darker aspects of the pokemon world that are implied throughout the series (eating certain pokemon, food chains, pokemon killing people and vice versa, etc.), so be warned. I will tag posts covering such content appropriately for the more squeamish folks in the pokemedia community.

-This blog is always set within the modern era of the series, so as of right now it would be following the events of Scarlet and Violet, and will likely canonically move forward with the events of the eventual dlc that will be releasing for the games.

-This blog is an inclusive space. Bigotry of any kind (Racism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-Semitism, furphobia, etc.) will not be tolerated, nor will those who excuse/refuse to denounce such behaviors from others (none of that "both sides bad" crap). Additionally, pro-shippers, pedophiles (this includes lolicons, obviously), zoophiles, and other deranged folks like that will be relentlessly mocked before being reported and blocked. DNI if you are one of these degenerates. smug "reddit atheist" types of anti-theists will also be blocked.

-I will try to keep OOC posts to an absolute minimum, mostly limiting them to posts like this or discussion of meta-aspects of the pokemedia fandom/community. A side blog for worldbuilding posts filling in the holes of the pokemon canon will be made at some point.

-As an avid worldbuilder, I currently have plans for a fan-game/region, and aspects of that may be tied into this blog at some point.

-Don't expect much artwork from me, at least not yet. I plan on working on my art skills soon. Any art I may post until further notice will likely be artwork I commissioned, and/or reposted with the permission of the artist.

-My main blog + account for non-rp stuff is @clockworkcorvus, and any OOC pokemon-related asks (Ex; Favorite pokemon game? Funniest KO you've seen?) are likely better sent there.

-A secondary blog, @pokemonloreadditions, exists as a resource for people roleplaying in these tags that want some holes in the pokemon lore filled for them. Where does meat come from? How does the government work? Stuff like this will be expanded upon in that blog. -I will block any account that follows me without having changed their blog name from the default "Untitled" name, as that is the sign of a bot.

so like, I don’t talk about my feelings on the show much, but I actually get why they killed clownboy off. Like, it had to happen. It was a good twist + we got Miah who is admittedly a blessing + I feel like Jerome really stood for the Joker’s essence but couldn’t embody him himself, so I’m not gonna complain even though Jerome has been my favorite from the start and he was the sole reason I kept up with the show through all these years + eventually joined the fandom’s rpc too.

  BUT- here on this blog we stan one (1) garbage manchild so for the sole purpose of eventually figuring out what I’m going to do with my verses ( I hate verses, they make things so complicated in my head ) I have come up with the following:

 Jerome’s body was stored away right next to Galavan, a man who later on was given near god-level superpowers. Strange was creating meta-humans out of popular figures and often linked the powers to their death/heritage ( see Firefly). So, what could he possibly want the deranged shot-called of the MANIAX for?

   Perhaps Strange wanted to study Jerome’s mind, but if that was the case, why had he left the head completely intact? Maybe he didn’t have time for it/ was working on other projects, but it’s weird that he was keeping clownman in a tank all this time ( one whole year! ) without having touched a single hair on his body ( as demonstrated, when he wakes up Jerome is only missing his face ) All the preservation chemicals MUST have partly soaked into Jerome’s body at that point.

  This is just my headcanon, but... remember when Jerome first wakes up, how he makes those weird noises and spasms? Okay, part of me already knows it was just an act for Lee, and later on for the television audience. What if those spasms were just an exaggerated way of expressing the ‘pain’ he felt when something was stimulated in his body?

  What I’m saying is, maybe the chemicals Strange used to preserve his body and mind in this intact state had an odd reaction with whatever procedure Dwight followed to bring him back. And maybe this has granted him the ability to sustain such damage ( he was capable of running up to a rooftop with a bullet in his chest ! ). In a sense, Strange’s unfinished experiments might have given him some ability to survive lethal situations, given that someone can collect his body and patch him up/revive him afterwards.

  And if his cult had gotten to the car before Gordon did ( the cops were busy with the whole gas situation at the time, after all, and only got to see the corpse up close by nightfall ) he could have made it out alive.

  Of course all this rambling could just be another way for me to justify the fact that I want him alive post s4 because that’s my favorite version of him to write :’D but it doesn’t really matter, anyway, thanks for coming to my ted talk and letting me rant friend! appreciate ya! MWAH!
