Only one date is ever mentioned in-game, that being 2021. Considering that the Virtual Singer Fan Festa seems to be a stand-in for Magical Mirai 2021, we can assume that the Scramble Fan FESTA! event takes place in September 2021 (the real-life MM2021 was delayed to November due to covid-19, but the pandemic doesn't exist in-universe and MM Tokyo usually takes place at the beginning of September). There are Leo/need Daily Life social media posts that show them attending Magical Mirai, and do state the year of the event, but these can be considered promotional material for the event itself rather than canon material, especially since the characters address in-game that only one year has passed since the start of the story (despite the fact they have celebrated new year's day 4 times now. Timeloop things).

Based on this date, we can actually place exactly when every main character was born. The cutoff date for Japanese schools is April 1st, making Ena the oldest main character, being a 3rd year with a birthday of April 30th, followed by Tsukasa on May 17th, so on so forth all the way down to Kohane, a 2nd year with a birthday of March 2nd.

Considering when Scramble Fan FESTA is set, Ena, who was a 2nd year at the time, would be 17 years old. That would place her date of birth as April 30th, 2004. Additionally, while Kohane, a first year at the time, should be 15 during the event, the game considers her to be 16 due to using a set age for every grade bracket. Regardless, the event setting places her date of birth as March 2nd, 2006.

Based on this, we can conclude that:

Ena, Tsukasa, Rui, and Shizuku were born in 2004

Mafuyu, Kanade, Airi, Minori, Saki, Toya, Nene, An, Ichika, Mizuki, Emu, Haruka, Honami, and Akito were born in 2005

Shiho and Kohane were born in 2006

This also means that Ena, Tsukasa and Rui are all older than the MEIKO software (released November 5th 2004), and everyone except Kohane is older than the KAITO software (released February 17th 2006). Every main character is older than Miku, the Kagamines, and Luka based on this information.

Using the information around set ages*, we can also work out rough estimates for when the side characters were born. For example, Arata, who was 19 during the first 3 years of the game, is 3 years older than the members of VBS who were all considered to be 16. Since the members of VBS were born in the April 2005 - April 2006 school year range, Arata was likely born in the 2002-2003 school year range.

* based on how characters like Youta and Miu, who are said to be the same age as Leo/need, were both confirmed to be 16 years old before the 3rd anniversary age-up. Also Haruka's age is confirmed as 16 at a point in time when she shouldn't be 16. Timeloop things.

Based on this, the oldest living side character, Kounosuke, who was 55 pre-3rd anniversary and 39 years older than Emu, was probably born between April 1966 and April 1st 1967. On the younger side of things, Hanano, who was 14 pre-3rd anni, was likely born between April of 2007 and 2008. I've put the rest of the estimated side character DOBs under the cut.

Rakunosuke died when he was 98 years old. In the WxS main story, Emu says that he died a year ago. Assuming Emu was 15 at the time, they have an age gap of around 83 years. The year of birth listed here was based on that assumption.

We know that Kanade's mother died aged 30, but we do not know when she died. She is still alive in flashbacks set roughly 10 years prior to the events of game.

In the third fanbook, ages were given for Mrs Asahina, Shindou, Yuuki, Asahi, and Arisa as one year less than they are given in this post. The reason for me adding a year on is because of the confirmation in a livestream of Daigo's age being 27. Daigo is meant to be the same age as Shousuke, whose age was given as 27 prior to the 3rd anniversary. When his age was provided on stream, he was grouped with the 5 I mentioned earlier. Based on this we can assume that all their ages are taken from the same time frame, i.e, pre-3rd anni (and this also confirms that NPCs inexplicably don't age but we'll ignore that for continuity reasons).

We do not have confirmed ages for Nagi, Reki, Sakaki, Ohara, MMJ's landlady, Mafuyu's father, Hiiragi, or the members of ReLight yet

Rui suggests that Reki is the same age as him in A Story Where You Are The Star while talking about both him and Asahi in the same sentence. Asahi was since confirmed as 18/19, so it is likely that Reki is also around that age.

Nagi's age is left blank in the fanbook due to it not being revealed that she was dead at the time of publication. She is younger than Taiga, but we don't know by how much, but nonetheless she was likely born in the early 1980s. It is unlikely we will ever know her exact age.

Ohara is stated to be in his mid-30s, placing his birth year as somewhere in the 1980s, likely around 1986-1989. Sakaki is an old college friend of Ohara's, so he is likely a similar age.

yep which is wild!! they’re both 19 turning 20 in the next year. i think Jean’s technically about 3-4 months older if you consider Nathaniel Wesisinski’s actual birthday (January 19th, 1988) not Neil Josten’s birthday (March 31st, 1987 - since that makes him a year older lol) and the foxhole court takes place in 2006-2007 year

Jean is 19 in tsc and nora said that Jean is a scorpio on twitter so that means his birthday is somewhere in October/November (my stab in the dark is October 29th, 1987, right before halloween seems to fit the vibe) meaning that jean will probably turn 20 in the next book

on November 3rd 2006, a moderator of the fansite "Sonic CulT" who went by Sazpaimon posted a full-game script and partial development document for Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) that was obtained by a European game tester several months prior to the game's release.

This document depicted casting, development, and character information that was not known to the public, in addition to a full game script. As an internal document, the information present was not meant to become public information and as such exclusive information should not be viewed as canonical.

While many highlights of the document are hardly "forgotten sonic facts" such as Blaze being self-conscious for a specific reason, Shadow having the stated age of 15, Silver originally being named Venice and Princess Elise originally being named Princess Oliga / Olga (depending on translation), other facts present have flown under the radar or have been forgotten over time. Here are 3 highlights:

Michael Pollock, in addition to Dr. Eggman, was selected for the role of "Gerald," almost certainly Gerald Robotnik. The decision to remove Gerald from the story must have occurred early in development. I speculate that he was originally going to appear in the form of voice recordings or a voice-over flashback as opposed to some manner of time travel trickery. Humorously, almost 20 years later Mike Pollock would again be selected for the role of Gerald Robotnik in Shadow Generations, though such a choice is obvious.

Update to the above: this document was created during the development of Heroes and updated throughout the development of multiple games in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. I had forgotten that Mike Pollock had voiced Gerald Robotnik in Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) so it is more likely Gerald was never intended to appear in '06 in any form and this note was simply never removed from the Shadow the Hedgehog development days.

"Because we don't know whether to create Town: Desert, Snow, or Forest, The Town Mission above (Event 4 and Event 19) is being reconsidered. Additionally the event area in the above mission was changed."

Originally Desert and Snowy Town Stages were being considered along with the Soleanna Forest, where it can be assumed Dusty Desert and White Acropolis could have been accessed.

Rouge and Shadow's GUN corespondent (whose name was mistranslated from GUN Corespondent to Agent Agent) was stated to be 24 years old.

the 2 different Time to Dance demos

The garageband demo of It's Time to Dance was posted to purevolume around October 24, 2004. Pete posted this on November 28th after listening to Panic's purevolume and then met them in Vegas around the following weekend. Then Panic went to visit Fall Out Boy in LA in mid-December 2004. That's the mansoup moment & when Brendon did his vocals for 7 Minutes in Heaven.

Then on January 13, 2005 P!ATD said they were heading into the studio to record It’s Time To Dance as a band. It sounded like they went back to visit Pete in LA to record a professional second version of the demo that could be used for promotional materials.

Pete shared these pictures on the Clandestine buzznet on January 15th. The first one said "in the lab with the scientists in panic" with the caption "your next favorite band. i promise."

Pete's caption for the last picture was “if james van der beek and gerard from my chemical romance had a baby – it would be the human holding this bass guitar. sick bra, brah.”

Ryan posted on livejournal on January 23 that "pete put a shitty picture of us up on the clandestine site. go make fun of it. brendon is wearing a bra."

Pete re-shared this picture on his blog in 2008 with the caption "arent you glad i was there from the very start with a camera in hand at all times. these are really some of my best friends on the planet."

Pete Wentz: “and then you guys came out and stayed with me and Patrick at the Oakwoods to record Time to Dance. You stayed up all night I think playing video games.”

Brendon: “Yeah, man, I was away from my parents, you guys had ALL the video games! We started putting bras on, taking weird pictures and crap… it got weird!” 

Pete also told Nylon in 2006: “When we were living in L.A. they came over to hang out and I wanted to take hilarious pictures of them. Nobody knew how big they’d get at that point so I dressed them up in this ridiculous stuff. They were wearing these crazy hip-hop jackets. One of them was wearing a bra…”

Anyways, Ryan posted on livejournal on January 19th that they'd recorded a full band version of time to dance last week. The official demo for “Its Time To dance (cause boys will be boys)” was posted on purevolume the next day. That’s the version that was used on the FBR spring sampler and even played on some radio stations that year before the album came out. I guess I sort of view the original demo as the demo and the second version as It's Time to Dance... like it gets the title and feels like its own song because of how heavily it was used (even this dang site had it playing in the background). It’s also worth noting that Ryan referred to the song as just “time to dance” in his 1/19 post, while FBR's spring sampler still said “It’s Time to Dance." So the final name change wasn't as unexpected as Relax Relapse jumping to Camisado ha.
