Worshippers, picnic-makers, and Vietnamese friends and families with young children filled the green space outside the #NotreDamedeSaigon until midnight when the police came to clear the area. I ran into this scene on my way home from one of Ho Chi Minh's famous rooftop bars. I always love to see how casually people use public space in country's like this, where private living spaces are typically smaller. It's something we're still learning in North America, and other parts of the "western" world. (at Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon)
