i have two best friends that i absolutely love to death and my biggest concern is who gets to be my maid of honour? do i pick best friend #a, who has been there for 10 years, through it all with me. we live far from each other and sometimes barely speak but we know that the silence and the distance between us mean nothing. she has a big heart. she pushes me to do my best and she reminds not by her words, but by her actions how important self love and family is. or do i pick best friend #b, who i speak to on a daily basis, and live 5 minutes away from? she challenges me to conquer my fears, and she understands me better than i can i understand myself. how am i supposed to decide who literally gets to be my right hand during the most important event in my life?

I was tagged by @slayediest (aka @notinarelationship) like YEARS ago and I finally dipped in my drafts and went HOLY SHIT I SHOULD HAVE POSTED THIS AGES AGO AND NOW I HAVE TO CHANGE MY ANSWERS.

1. Favorite story you’ve written and why?

It’s really hard to say because they are all my babies! I think I’m going to go with My Angel Is the Centerfold. It’s a break-from-canon AU with a broken up Klaine who reunite thanks to Blaine’s brief foray into erotic modeling. It was going to be a one-shot but thanks to fandom I had more in me, and it turned into a four part, 10K story. I really liked looking at a Blaine that didn’t stay at McKinley, didn’t go to New York, and how that worked out.

2. Trope you gravitate toward most in your writing?

IDK if I’m drawn to any one “trope,” per se. A lot of my fic is what I would call “reaction” fic, i.e. reaction to spoilers or a particular episode. But sometimes I actually react to something else...like a picture that looks sorta like Blaine/Darren (see above), or Beyonce’s surprise album drop, or the College Football Playoffs. The weirdest things, really.

3. Would you rather write past or present tense?

I didn’t think that was something that was a preference? I think it depends on the story really.

4. How many unfinished stories/ideas do you have on your computer?

Probably three, I guess?

5. What ideas are in your google/word doc right now?

There’s a football AU where Kurt is a quarterback who can’t help but admire his center Blaine’s butt, since he’s so up close to it. A Season Six AU pre-Blainofsky breakup where Klaine get drunk-married in Vegas before Nationals. A Sixteen Candles AU that I was going to co-write with someone that went off the rails with the side-story of Rachel getting loopy before marrying Finn that got abandoned. 

6. What’s the best review/comment you’ve received?

I wrote a gift fic for a prompt fest where Blaine is on The Voice (Steal Some Covers), and the recipient couldn’t stop raving about how not only did I fill the prompt perfectly, but inadvertently filled another prompt she had in her head but changed her mind about, so I am also apparently psychic!

7. How about the worst comment?

It’s not a bad comment about my writing, but the fact someone said they sent Everyone’s Hot for Kliff Kingsbury TO Kliff Kingsbury rattled me a bit. I did also get an angry Kurt fan who thought that I had given Blaine everything and him nothing in one fic, which um if they had bothered to read the whole thing would have realized differently.

8. What is the last book you read?

I finally read Little Wonders by Courtney Lux and adored it! And I have the final Land of Stories book on my desk and I WILL READ IT DAMN IT.

9. Do you plan to try and publish an original work?

Maybe, someday? I’ve toyed with an autobiography, since I don’t/won’t have kids and someone has to tell the tale of my existence.

10. What has been your biggest writing inspiration?

Other writers, honestly. I can’t really say one thing.

11. How many fanfic stories have you posted?

According to AO3, 29? I’m sure there are some spare ones floating on Tumblr somewhere.

12. What are you currently working on?

I’m four chapters into a Samcedes soulmate AU with a twist. I put it aside over the holidays to do Klaine Advent, and I need to pick it up again but real life academic writing has interfered.

I tried to delete my ff.net account ages ago, couldn’t figure it out, so I did the next best thing; deleted all the stories. Shame I had to say goodbye to the comments.
