the fact that zaunites dont get burials in arcane but topsiders do destroys me. the whole thing about zaun is they are trying to make something that will last, a better future than the predecessors had. except none of them will ever be rememebred or have a final resting place. their bodies are left to rot after being broken and beaten before dying. yet the pilties get lavish funerals and statues erected in honour of them. what does zaun have? a fleeting image of a brighter future and some paintings on alleyway walls that won't stand against time. literally going feral over there being no graves in zaun.

something about how their murals are their only way of remembering and recording their history but zaun has so much more dedicated to their predecessors. murals are nothing when their city falls apart and gets rebuilt constantly. oral history and paintings can only last for so long. its nothing like caitlyn having a database of family records to look back on.
