Seems to be a bit of a trend to do screenshot redraws of emesis blue, so here’s one to make up for the shitass fanart I did a couple days ago lol

TF2: Let’s finish him off, right here and now.
This was hell to do. I hate drawing guns 😅 But it did turn out nicely. This is also a redraw scene from EMESIS BLUE. There will be more…

While I'm working on a few different analysis posts, I thought it would be prudent to share something I noticed that would be important to the conversation around the beginning of the film; this is to say, whether or not Medic had any legitimate involvement in the murder of Scout's mother/kidnapping of Scout (aside from the blatant appearance of Pyro on the scene), and what could possibly be going on with the Blighted Beak character, which will be my main focus in this post.
At 8:31 p.m. (according to the suited Heavy's watch in the scene prior) Soldier is outside smoking in the rain. A car passes by, and for the briefest moment (8:02 in video time) as it goes under the streetlight do we see that this is in fact the same BLU ambulance with Medic and Scout inside, on the way to drop Scout off.
The hearse pulls in quickly after, which we know to have Blighted Beak inside, as they take the briefcase from Spy not much later (screenshot from 8:12 video time).
I was not inclined to believe Blighted Beak and Medic are one in the same like others may be, and with this I take it as a very hard and simple proof that they are two separate individuals, having been in the same place at the same time and it not being a hallucination of Medic's.
This isn't to say that Soldier is free of the possibility of being an unreliable narrator (for he is as much of a focal point as Medic, sharing the protagonist role), so perhaps he did not remember things right, but I still feel like this was a very deliberate decision by the writers; it's an incredibly easy to miss detail, gone in a blink, but then we even get a very in-your-face clue about it in Chapter Six as we find Soldier on the other side of his introduction (around 1:30:30 video time) with the ambulance passing him by. On my first watch during the premiere, and for several watches after, I thought this was just an artistic decision, but then I decided to come back to the original scene and thus found this.
Maybe this is something everyone's caught already, but I hadn't seen anyone talk about it, so I thought I should bring it up.
