Aleksi was watching Rilla on the couch.

On most days he felt guilty for bringing her with him to the studio, he doubted it was exciting for a dog to lay around and watch them figuring out a song or wait the endless hours Aleksi could be absorbed in production. But then again, she seemed to love the attention she got from the other band members whenever they were around, and he couldn’t deny she was good for the spirit.

His eyes wandered up to Joel who was so deep in his own world that he couldn’t suppress the small light in his eyes while rubbing Rilla’s stomach who didn’t seem to mind the hand on her at all.

He liked to pretend that Aleksi’s dog was merely a distraction to their work, or that he didn’t like dogs (or pets in general, Rommi wasn’t an exception to this), but Aleksi had caught him several times cuddling and playing with Rilla, to the extent that Joel’s mentality obviously had changed in the past weeks or months.

Furthermore, Aleksi was relived to see a little spark to Joel’s person, as everything about him could only be described as dark since a week or so.

Joonas had assured him that it was nothing to be concerned about, or rather nothing Aleksi could do anything about but nonetheless Aleksi had wished to be able of help, and even this tiny change to Joel’s demeanour was a comfort for Aleksi’s soul.

It wouldn’t be a very productive night if Aleksi kept on eyeing the cuddling pair on the couch, but he couldn’t look away from the picture either. It warmed his heart, and he was aware of how quickly it could get creepy if he kept this up, but could anyone blame him?

“You two are cute.” It slipped out of his mouth before he could really think about it.

Joel looked up at him right away, hand stilling. “Sorry.” Came to Aleksi’s surprise an apology. “We will never get finished if I just sit here. Where were we?”

Aleksi had simply given a compliment, how did Joel twist it into an accusation?

“I don’t think we will finish this anyways, not the right vibe today, you know?”

Joel nodded slowly; Aleksi not sure if he understood him right this time.

“We can’t produce a banger every night.” Aleksi clarified therefore. “And Rilla absolutely loves your cuddles, don’t disappoint her by stopping now.”

A sad smile appeared on Joel’s face, and he directed his attention back to Rilla who had been watching him attentively with her dark eyes, undoubtedly waiting for his hand to come back pet her.

“That’s all I’m good for today anyways.” Was said in a quiet voice, as if the casualness could deter from the dejection of the sentence.

“Hey, that’s not true.” Aleksi cut in, not willing to be a bystander of Joel’s downtalk.

“No? I haven’t given one good idea, and all I’ve done was sitting around. All I am today is a burden.”

“Joel-” Aleksi began to defend Joel from himself.

“No yeah you’re right, sorry. My mood has been absolute shit recently, I can go home- I-”

Joel interrupted himself when he clearly didn’t know what to say anymore, and Aleksi easily discarded his work to join him on the couch.

“You’re not a burden.” He started. “Your mind is shit, yes, but you’re not. I want you around, even when you feel like this.”

‘This’ didn’t need to be spelled out; they both knew what it entailed since it wasn’t the first time Aleksi experienced Joel in such a terrible state. Although before, when Aleksi had been relatively new, Joel had still tried to hide it as best as he could, even going so far as to find appointments as an excuse not to show his face in the studio.

Joonas, as the loving boyfriend, had always tried to distract Aleksi from the reality despite Aleksi having found out quickly that he had only been doing this based on Joel’s wish. And Aleksi couldn’t be mad at Joonas since he was just trying to help his boyfriend.

Not that Aleksi hadn’t been sad that Joel apparently didn’t trust him enough to let him in far enough to show his real self.

That’s why he was actually feeling somewhat proud that Joel now trusted him enough to even admit he was feeling this way right now. Even if he was ready to bolt at any wrong move.

Joel blew out air from his nose, disbelieving, almost a sarcastic expression joining it. “I’m feeling worthless.”

His eyes were stealing a look of Aleksi, most likely searching for assurance. And Aleksi would gladly give it to him, oddly not losing his brain with Joel’s blue eyes watching him carefully.

“When your eyes are on me, I feel like something worth seeing.”  

“You sound like Joonas.” Joel said with a little pout, evidently not accepting Aleksi’s words.

“Yeah? Then he might be smarter than he acts.”

This evoked a start of a full smile on Joel’s lips, and Aleksi allowed himself to reply in kind. He has never been one for serious and heartfelt conversations, but he had sensed Joel needed this, and it has been easier to tell Joel this earnest truth than it had ever before, and he had discovered long ago that Joel sparked new, unknown feelings and reactions in Aleksi, so he shouldn’t be too surprised at this turn, but it nevertheless felt like a victory to be so open with another person.

But it was Joel. Lots of things have been easy with him.

“If you start being poetic with me too, I will go to Tommi next time. He’s realistic at least.”

“He will give you a reality check in 2 minutes, and give you a good meal and the advice to be honest to Joonas, and send you on your way so he can watch his sports match.”

Both laughed at this more than realistic story, and Aleksi was pleased he could distract Joel enough that he forgot about his worry for a few seconds.

At the sudden noises, Rilla looked up from her blissed state to watch them both but was quickly satisfied when the petting continued.

It felt so harmonic, and frighteningly intimate to be sitting here with Joel, both so close, and in Aleksi’s opinion growing only closer, that he felt horrifyingly caught in the act when the door opened and Joonas stepped in with their food.

“They were out of that sauce you love Aleksi, said to come earlier if we want extras with our orders.” Joonas started to talk without batting an eye at the situation on the couch. “Bullshit if you ask me, they were just too lazy to ask the cook to fill up a portion, but what do I know. But hey, if you want, we can meet next weekend to make dinner and do our own sauce, I bet we can find a recipe online. We will have unlimited saucey access for our midnight soul food, how does that sound?”

Putting the bags with the food containers on the little table in front of the couch, Joonas walked around and to Aleksi’s confusing surprise, not only gave Joel a kiss on the cheek but Aleksi as well as if they’ve always done this.

“And for my beloved, two fortune cookies for extra luck.” Joonas said and showed two cookies in his hand which Joel took with an eyeroll.

Sitting down next to Rilla, the couch just so big enough for them all, he began unpacking their food, still ignoring the situation they found themselves in. If ignoring was the right word. Aleksi wasn’t sure if Joonas just happily enjoyed this all.

Like Aleksi did. And his guilt over this diminished with every minute they ate and talked.

He also couldn’t suppress the blush when Joel without warning kissed his other cheek that he recognized as a silent thanks Aleksi didn’t feel he deserved, and he averted his eyes back to Rilla when he saw Joonas’ very knowing smirk.

I heard about Blind Channel the first time ……. In the aftermath of 2021 Eurovision I loved Månskin and heard about the guys because of their relationship and support of Måneskin and the way they knocked down the barricade during the preformance after Måneskin won

Hey! As someone who's only kinda recently started getting into Blind Channel, can you "introduce" the band members to me/tell me any fun facts? 😊

It's okay if not, I just feel like it's so fun hearing it from other fans than trying to dig it out myself LOL

You're about to get an essay 😂 anyone please add in, this isn't an all inclusive list of everything about them.

Let's start with Joel - vocals (and guitar depending on if you're going back to the first couple albums)

Joel is the oldest member of the band at 30, has ADHD, has dealt with insomnia, talked about being bullied in highschool, handles the band's social media, has a wine and has made a lot of references to dating his hand 😂

He is one half of the (t)error twins with Joonas, such named by the other members of the band for their chaos and having the same birthday, one year apart. He has said more than once that Joonas is his closest friend and they're found hanging out a lot outside of the band, they have been called an old married couple, always squabbling (but with a lot of obvious brotherly love)

Joonas - guitar

Second half of the (t)error twins, sings backing vocals, has been photographed with his dick out on more than once occasion, has a naked painting of himself, he's (sometimes questionably) a fashionista, and is known to have a rather sensitive digestive system.

Joel met Joonas in highschool after their own bands ended and became friends, eventually decided to form their own band, Joonas had already been in a band with Olli and their now tour manager Santeri, and previously in one with Tommi. Joonas, Olli, and Tommi are childhood friends prior to highschool.

Niko - vocals

Niko went to the same highschool as the other founding members, but hung out with a different crowd. Joonas, Olli, and (maybe) Tommi were at a house party, Linkin Park’s In The End came on, Niko rapped Mike's parts and Joonas invited him to join him for the band’s first practice the next day. Joel picked him up, even though they hadn't met.

He plays and teaches piano, writes most of the band's lyrics (though there is collaboration), has a kitty named Rommi, has a long term girlfriend, Joonas lived with them for a while. He has a large band symbol on his side with roses for each of the band members (minus Aleksi, but he does have a matching tattoo with him)

Tommi - drums

Papa bear himself! Lot of bear references with him, he has the nickname nalle (teddy bear in Finnish) from the band. He used to drive the band around when they were still in vans rather than tour buses and his job in the band is to “have final say”.

There's a single brain cell in this band, and most of the time it seems like Tommi has it, but every once in a while he's as dumb (affectionate) as the rest of them. He and Olli are the only two still in the band's hometown and as far as we know he is the only member of the band without tattoos. And he's a nurse!

Olli - bass

Called the most beautiful member of the band by his bandmates and known to eye-fuck any camera that happens to be focused on him.

Or if you happen to be watching them live 😳 it's intense.

He used to have gauges. There are several photos and videos of him and Joonas just holding hands 🖤 (lots of love in this band)

He can come off as a bit of an airhead, the biggest example of this is his poor bass Simba (rip) that he left on top of a van at a gas station, didn't realize until they had left and was far far down the road. He did eventually get it back but it was destroyed.

He designed their newest stage outfits and even sewed the patches on himself. He used to work at a hospital transporting patients.

Aleksi - DJ/percussion

Newest member of the band and only non-original member.

Had/has a solo DJ career and career as a producer as Alex Mattson, and accidentally ignored Joel in 2016 when he reached out to talk about a collab.

He ended up meeting Joel and Joonas at a Bring Me the Horizon concert in November of 2016 (where they also met Joonas (Johnny) Parkkonen) and they cleared up the accident and became friends.

He collaborated with them and help with song writing/production before he officially joined the band in 2020

Baby of the band and a menace. He got his first tattoo with a couple members there to hold his hand, I think it was Joel and Niko, Joonas went with him to get his band tattoo.

He grew up around the music scene (his dad is a booking agent) and was a drummer in a band as a kid. He has a little dachshund named Rilla

Joel, Joonas, Niko, and Aleksi all have the band's symbol tattooed on them. Joel's is in his arm, Joonas has it in his hand, Niko on his side, and Aleksi near his wrist.

Olli is made to be a turtle dad you can not convince me otherwise. Aleksi needs a tiny hedgehog. Porko gets a pig. Tommi would just adopt the baby bear that stumbles to his backyard and I was gonna assign Niko with a cockatiel but then I remembered Rommi exists so for the safety of the poor lil birb we'll give him an iguana instead.

So reading your new Aleksi oneshot had me thinking... I actually have been craving some Tommi Angst, and reading this I thought being overworked could be something that could happen to him aswell. I mean he always takes care of the others and seems to be aware of everyones needs in your storys so imagine this could happen to him as well. But I think it would be harder for the others to notice this... So at first I wanted to ask you if you would want to write something like that, which would have been far better then what I attempted...So you see I am not a writer and english isn't my first language, and after reading what I have attempted to write you will probably agree, but please be sure I only meant well with this...

He loved taking care of his mates. Seriously he did. But after a week of Niko losing his mind over a sick Rommi, Joonas and Olli coming down with some kind of stomach bug at the same time and Allu and Joel not being able to sleep because of all of this he was just so exhausted. He felt like he hadn’t slept at all since all this started, because he was always up and making sure the others were okay. And that was okay, because it was his job to take care of the others and he loved it...

But now that all the others were safe and sound and thank god all asleep in their nest he really wished he could do the same. Just sleep, even if it was only for an hour or two. He was just so exhausted… But he couldn’t because he needed to take Rommi to his vet check up appointment to make sure he was fully back to health. And no he wouldn’t let Niko do this because he needed to rest with the others. So he slowly and carefully crawled out of their nest (thankfully he always slept on the side), and before leaving the bedroom he checked one last time for any signs of distress from his mates. But they were all finally resting…

He quickly drank some coffee and then left the house with Rommi after a long struggle of getting the cat in his carrier. This cat was just as dramatic as his owner sometimes… After the visit to the vet, that he doesn’t even remember much of because of his unableness to concentrate at the moment, (but he knew they said Rommi was fine which is the most important thing anyways) he quickly checked his phone to find a text from Joonas.

He asked him to buy some honey while he was out shopping, because they ran out of it and he wanted to try a new recipe with Aleksi tonight. He also added a weird honey and bear reference that he wasn’t even sure if he would find it funny if he was in his right mindset. But that was just so Joonas that he had to laugh either way. But shopping? After staring confused at his phone for a couple of minutes he finally remembered that it was his and Joonas turn to do the shopping. And he told Joonas that he would go out today…

So shopping it was... He didn’t even have the list with him, but there was no way he would drive back home to get it. He would just get what he thought they needed and then some. (Turns out even completely exhausted he got the shopping mostly right, but he must have added some items that reminded him of his mates. They probably didn’t need honey and milk scented soap, lavender scented body wash, a citrus scented air refreshener, a coffee scented candle or a pair of leather pants that he seriously had no idea where he got it from)

When he got back to their place and put the car in park he just wanted to close his eyes for a few seconds to enjoy the peacefulness…

Second... What you have written is awesome!🖤 Please don't put yourself down, If you wanted to finish it I would be happy to beta read or just talk about the story for ideas (one of my favorite things to do)
