LaDS when you’re excited about a book

Xavier

Confused and startled by all the screaming but once he realizes it’s screams of joy, he just waits for you to calm down with a completely adoring smile on his face.

He thinks it's the sweetest thing you get so invested in stories that a character's joy becomes your own.

If the book is a part of a series you've been following for a long time, odds are he's reading it too so he can share in your interest and he's thrilled your hopes for romance came true.

If this is a new book, he'll ask to borrow it and read the whole thing in one night to understand why you like it so much.

If it's that kind of book, he cheekily suggests recreating a few scenes he's bookmarked. Xavier knows you two could do it better.

Rafayel

All he knows is one moment he was peacefully painting by himself and the next, you’re all over him but not in the fun way.

Rafayel thinks something really amazing must've happened if you're this excited and then thinks you're a total dork for being so happy for a fictional couple.

He teases you for it in the moment but when his mind wanders before he falls asleep, he wonders if you're so excited by fictional romance because he's lacking somehow.

He actually gets jealous and he's not shy about you knowing it. It's stupid and childish but that's never stopped him before.

Rafayel will pout until he realizes he can outdo a character from a book. You will either be adorably flustered or laugh from how hard he’s trying — either way, it’s a win for him.

Zayne

When you burst through the door with a book in your hands and a smile on your face, Zayne experiences some powerful deja vu.

He suddenly remembers how much you loved stories when you were little — he saw it firsthand when he would read to you himself. He knew you still read as an adult but he thought you would've grown out of how emotionally involved you could be.

He's glad to be wrong.

Regardless of whether you've told him about this book before, Zayne asks you to tell him again so he can see your eyes light up and listens to your rambling with the most subtle yet softest of smiles.

He'll happily spend his evenings quietly reading alongside you.

Sylus

Sylus almost doesn't care what the reason is so long as he is the recipient of your violent happiness. He soaks it all in while marveling at how far you've come.

You never would've been so open with him a few months ago, even with something as trivial as a book you like. Sylus doesn't have much time or interest for novels but you've intrigued him. You will should read aloud to him sometime, if only he can see what the fuss is all about.
