peppino studies...hes got such a cute face and i feel like im straying away from it
#pizza tower#peppino#arts#mine#i have a thing where i make something curved and draw it very fast#and that makes me draw his nose so small compared to his sprite bc im trying to make the nose in one stroke#so i revisited some old concept art n sprites on the wiki#the one where hes in a fancy suit and he looks kinda confused??? i love it so much it lives in my head rent free#i want to capture that in my art for him#i should do some sprite redraws then to help#hes got like#not necessarily a square jaw but hes got a big jaw and chin; lots of space between his mouth and the bottom of his chin#and that just does not mesh well w the way my brain WANTS to draw him#so i think. bigger eyes and nose and more space than i usually allow between his chin and mouth#i SHOULD just sketch in my book to help w making my lines more natural again but weughh#anyway peppino is cute and i wanna go back to the way i drew him back in my pepperman comic bc i can feel myself slackin

#the fake shoujo manga chapter divider in a shoujo magazine is complete!#this took me like three days to finish and needless to say I’m proud of it 😌#ok maybe apart from Steve I’m not too happy with how he came out#everytime I draw his s1 hair apart of me wants to explode cause of how confusing and hard it is to draw#I imagine that this (fake) manga starts off as a regular shoujo romance but slowly escalates into a sci-fi horror#I’d like to thank Betsumas online archive for giving me references of shoujo from the 80s and 90s#ngl this would have flopped without it#I took some inspo from the many different art styles I saw in my betsuma refs and added aspects to my already pretty anime style#I also stylized Jonathan’s hair differently to how I usually do it to go more in line with how I think it would be stylized#in an actual shoujo#same with Nancy too#I also did more softer shading and tried to make it look watercoloury as alot of the shoujo mangaka I like use it for more fancy art#in relation to their work#i don’t think it comes across that way but hey it was worth a try!#I’m either proud of the title of this fake ST manga or ashamed of it idk I can’t decide#anyways I might do a part two to this? idk it was originally my intention#hope y’all enjoy!#stranger things#nancy wheeler#jonathan byers#steve harrington#barbra holland#jancy#I’ll add the jancy tag cause this piece has the pairing in subtext (lmk if i should remove it at all cause this isn’t an obvious jancy thing#)#cw eyestrain#tw eyestrain#<-adding these tags cause I think this could cause some eyestrain

Both love and hate the absolute DELUGE of ink a fresh sharpie unleashes onto the paper the instant it makes contact…. I have complicated feelings towards the deluge lmao
#pepper words#it might not even only be fresh sharpies idk. I don’t remember… it might always be a deluge#until it starts to die#I use to ONLY use sharpies to draw traditionally for like the longest time. but then I got fancy pens and shit.#that dont piss out all there ink instantly#it’s kinda fun tho.. like it forces you to draw faster. and press lighter. and just. be looser w ur lines#and even when ur being loose it’s STILL making thick as hell lines. but. that’s also kinda interesting..?#idk. it’s kinda fun using them again sometimes. I feel like it’s kinda freeing. u just have to accept what the sharpie puts out#u can only control it so much. u have to let go of that urge for perfection and take what u get#I feel like currently I really struggle w. liking my sketches more than my lines. and trying to replicate all my sketchwork#into my linework… but lines are not sketches!!! so it leads to linework I don’t like either cuz it’s all scratchy and weird#i feel like. 1 I need to learn. to let some pictures just be sketches. like if I like the look of my sketch and wanna keep that loose#conceptual sorta look. to just. not line it. not try to replicate a sketch in lines#and 2! to embrace smoothness in my linework more… to accept my lines. not looking exactly like my sketch#and to not go over every single sketch stroke in ink to try and achieve that.. cuz it doesn’t work!!!!!#and.. uhhh. yeah! I think using sharpies might actually help out w that. cuz u literally. u CANNOT go over them a 100 times.#or trace over every sketch mark. the spread of the ink does not allow it! and if u keep trying it’ll just become a mess#forces me to accept my lines as they are… lines….#ok anyway… sorry for the impromptu sharpie / art dissatisfaction discussion ghghg#sharpies r cool and interesting to work w!!! force me to do things differently i think I like em#but also because I’m so stuck in my ways w lining my sketches they also frustrate me initially ghgh- but who cares if I’m frustrated!#the lines down! it’s done! u just gotta move onto the next one! and boom. whadaya kno#all of a sudden u got some finished linework that isn’t exactly what u put down for the sketch. but it’s smooth and clean and shit!#thats cool lol

not much of an OC person unfortunately! i wish i was, but i'm just not creative like that :p i really admire people who can conceptualize characters on their own, but i don't have enough interest in my own ideas, i'd rather just draw oz kfjsdljfksd
to answer your first Q, i use clip studio! for the past few years i've used one (1) brush and the regular airbrush tool, no special settings on it. i use filters and patterns and such for texture while coloring. unfortunately it's no longer on the clip studio assets store (where i got it), but it's just a basic round brush with slightly jagged edges. like dis
most important part (to me) is having the pressure curve customized in such a way that you have to press super hard to produce thick lines. it feels kinda clumsy to draw with at first, but you get used to it. i'm lazy as hell so i want to keep whatever brush i'm using the same size lol
#people always say “you don't need a fancy brush to make good art!!!” but i only Kind Of agree#me personally i have not strayed from this brush bc nothing else feels right and my lines Will look like shit#like theoretically you can do whatever you want with a plain round brush but the pressure curve is important............imo#yip yap

#gw2#guild wars 2#my posts#gw2 asura#Commander Ruju#i reached this scene and that line#and just immediately needed to scribble what expression Ruju was making because he was ABSOLUTELY doing. this#Ruju has never had a decent father figure or really a solid mentor in his life before and he's been trying SO hard to be cool#but he's an emotionally repressed tiny gremlin with many feelings and he is not and has never actually been cool#(if he wasn't such a brat he'd be cute though. ig there's that)#i could've actually tried to shade and color this in a way that wasn't a total mess but no. silly shitpost ruju doesn't get that#he can sparkle in the silliest scribbly sketch ever instead#it enhances the effect. gives it flavor. (ok I just wanted it done)#it also at least gives a vague idea of what's going on with his markings since they're very off-model from in-game#they're a lot more like freckles + a couple on his nose too#anyway. i've been taking lots of fancy shots and cleaning them up so there WILL be a post showcasing his Vigil era#because i REALLY like the dyes on that uniform for him tbh#anyway. throws this into the tags and makes my escape#my art

Last week I started drawing my old mlp ocs
Ive still got 2 more to do from this set! So back in like 2022 I think? Everyone was making pony fusions and I joined in the fun but this time around I wanted them to be their own characters instead of just fusions.
I added more, changed their colors, and altered their names a bit and they look sooo much better! plus I've got a better grasp of how their bodies should work!

Some touhou redesign concepts mixed with full first drafts
#I often feel Mokou looks too similar to Reimu#do I chopped off some of mokou’s clothes skin and hair#kept the bow cause it alludes to the childhood aspect of her character#but it was clearly last minute#these are all rough drafts#oh also she has a sun shaped scar on her chest#idea is that Kaguya would have some moon symbol as a parallel#youmu is obviously very different#I leaned into a jet stream Sam or Carlos Miyamoto idea (Brazilian samurai cuz they’re awesome)#as you can see I didn’t have those spots on the fancy shirt tux thing before#on a second draft I’d remove the spots and make the sleeves white like the undershirt#tho I wonder how much of that I’d even keep#sakuya izayoi#yukari yakumo#marisa kirisame#fujiwara no mokou#youmu konpaku#touhou#touhou project#my art#I def went too far with the clock hands for Sakuya’s blush and eyebrows but I do like the button line ribbon set up#came up with that while designing Marisa and went back to add it to Sakuya#and Yukari I don’t know how to draw that was a learning exp above all else#touhou redesign#moose art

I love all of these goofy product photos where the water bottle is extremely obviously just photoshopped onto a stock image of someone pretending to hold something or whatever.. very convincing..
#the last one where the water bottle is like nearly the size of the woman's entire leg ghbjbjhh#ALSO I know.. gross.. nasty.. amazon.. I was only looking there because I was trying to find an exact replica of an old water bottle#I bought like 6 years ago in a store and I just wanted another one of those and it seemed like the only place the old manufacturer#still sold was through amazon but.. alas.. I think they just don't make them anymore. so I have abandoned my hunt#I didn't actually buy anything. but I did get distracted clicking through product images for a few of them#it's bizarre how like............... idk.. WHY is this done??? Isn't this offputting to basically ANY potential customer?? or do people#not look at every photo/read the entire page/all product information before buying??#all of these are from like front page ''top sellers'' or whatever like........... how does this not hurt the brand????#If the company can't even bother to take a single photo of a real life person using their real life product then... that to me#is kind of red flaggy..?? even if you're an indie start up small business with hardly any funds.. still#A real photo of the product you are selling in a real actual non-photo shopped environment does not seem that inacessible#Maybe it's because everyone does everything on phones now?? So it's harder to see the pictures when they're smaller?#Kind of the same thing with ai art and also hair color photoshops lol.. On my full comptuer screen it is SOOO easy to spot ai art#like IMMEDIATELy from the little tells and ways certain details morph into each other etc. I dont even mean obvious dalle mini stuff but#like the Fancy High Quality Photorealistic AI art is still pretty blatant 98% of the time if you know what to look for. But I still catch#people sharing it a lot like 'omg where can I buy this pair of shoes!! :O <3' .. erm you cannot.. that is the most balatantly fake looking#pair of shoes I have seen in my life hhjbj.. the heels are both different heights. there's a different number of straps on each one. etc.#AND that phase back before colored hair was Mainstream and people would post photos like 'omg going to bring this to the salon!! dream hair#and it's like.. you can LITERALLY see the parts where it's 'colored outside of the lines' and is so clearly just a person with blond hair#that someone drew over with a tint brush or something not even very neatly. etc. etc. ANYWAY.. Maybe with phones it's harder to tell these#things?? To me so much of it is instantly recognizable and it's suprising to me that people either don't notice or don't care and will#interact with it anyway by buying the product or acting like some ai art fake furniture is real or etc. etc. ..hewwoo#Aslo sidenote - I think I've become soo cynical and tired of constantly being advertised to that I literally cannot shop without getting#exhausted. I do not see how marketing is anything but obnoxious and transparent. Every item description having stuff like ''Our company is#commited to bringing you the highest quality water products! we set out with a mission to bring high quality products to people all over#the world and we believe in spreading health and happiness and'' just like SHUT THE HELL UP!! youre a fucking company#you don't ''beleive'' in anything you are here to sell a product. stop trying to talk like you're my bff who cares deeply about my health#or something just tell me the materials and product specifications of your stupid fucking water bottle and move on.
