🔥 the betrayer gods and/or the primordials

Interesting narratively and fwiw I do not think the betrayers should get eaten either, like, simply because they suck and caused the calamity doesn't mean an eldritch horror should be sicced on them, but man some of the party like "what about the primordials" really annoys the hell out of me not because their feelings as characters are invalid (though some are wildly hypocritical) but because I've been on the "being an atheist in a D&D world with established gods makes you an idiot" train for literal years and various brainless people who never learned their Latin and Greek linguistic roots have been like "YEAH being an atheist in D&D is really more like worshipping the archfey :)" and I've been like "no. you are so fucking stupid," every single time, and now it is happening again. Like if the issue is "powerful entities with control over the lives of mortals are bad" then worshiping the primordials or archfey is materially no different than worshiping the prime deities or betrayer gods! If the problem is the fundamental concept of power imbalance then Bells Hells should murder Nana Morri! And yet.
