Have you considered the first time someone actually takes her by surprise and manages to get a pitchier giggle out of her than she usually gives. Have you considered her finding a gentle touch absolutely alien and shocking and she just doesn't really know how to cope or respond, at first. Have you considered her making a conscious effort to give back a little more gently the next time she corners that person, or at least she lingers after she's done destroying them, and later curses the conflict in her chest with confusion, not understanding why or how she or they deserved such gentleness (she thinks neither of them do), but craving it again all the same, and talking herself in circles about it
