I think that and Oppreheimer will sweep awards season for the most part Barbie I think will win in technical categories (production design costumes) but sadly not for acting.
I agree. I think some indies could pick up an award or two here or there as well. I loveddd the acting in Barbie ofc but honestly Oppenheimer is my movie of the year so far like it deserves what it’s gonna win imo. If it doesn’t take home big awards I’ll be shocked and disappointed frankly.
#i could see barbie maybe sneaking in an unexpected (non-tech) award but i’d be surprised#not that it’s undeserving etc etc buuuut#asks#anonymous#movie talk#also awards season is gonna be delayed + weird as hell bc of the strikes#i think about Oppenheimer (movie) all the time i wanna see it again still#granted i woke up with i’m just ken in my head LOL#it could get best song#also I think the color purple remake will get traction#and i know like standard awards szn fare vs like what it Could be but idk i habe complicated feelings

Number 19!
Thank you SO much for participating in Author Thursday this week, my friend!
19. Do any of your characters fly? If so, how?
Ooooh! Now THIS is a fun one! Truth be told, I hadn’t even considered whether this would be a possibility or not before this question. So let’s do a little worldbuilding, technology-inventing, and character development together!
At this point in time in Edenfell’s history, there would be no easily-accessible form of flight. Technology has not advanced to the point where airships, planes, etc. have been invented. That being said, there exist written, oral and pictorial accounts of those in flight. However, these seem to be from before the Fall of Eden. As such, scholars have suggested that people channeled the magical force of Dominion to sustain movement mid-air, should Wind be their element of domain. There are those curious depictions of winged men, too…
None of my primary characters fly, I regret to inform you. Oeden has a bird, but, well, little Eon’s not quite large enough to ride…yet, anyways. Oeden has no idea how big he’s suppose to grow to, since no one can determine what species he belongs to.
That being said, there are species that comes to play quite often throughout Kingdom Come that can fly - angels and demons. In their angelic forms, these spiritual creatures possess massive wings, each intricately-designed with patterns of stained glass specific to their role. When demons fell from grace, all the color was drained from their wings, leaving them with hollow remnants of fracturing glass that once was glorious. Even the broken wings still allow for the ability of flight - God’s grace upon undeserving demons. I’m not saying you should expect some angels and demons to come into play, or that my characters may or may not form alliances with them, buuuut…don’t be surprised ;)
If anyone else would like to participate in Author Thursday, please feel free to answer the questions located here for my WIP fantasy novel, Kingdom Come!
