Me again with some Jan/Jure for the kiss promts hehe :))
Could you maybe do âŚforcefully and ...out of necessity for them (either works fine as well<3)
So my hand slipped and I wrote both...
33. ...forcefully
âWhat the fuck were you thinking?â Lying there on the hospital bed, arm already in a fresh cast and sling, Jure has the audacity to roll his eyes. âOh, come on. It's not like I did it on purpose!â âThat doesn't matter!â Jan snaps back at him, trying to take a deep breath before his anger becomes full-on fury. They may be in a private side room, alone while the nurse is off sorting out the discharge paperwork, but the door is still slightly ajar and he doubts anyone down the corridor wants to hear him shouting. âJan, it's not that b- â âDonât you tell me â you're lying there with a broken arm and you're trying to tell me me it's not that bad?â He canât believe how casually Jure is treating this. The panic heâd felt from the phone call â donât freak out, but can you give me a ride from the hospital? â is still gnawing at the edges of his mind, even though no permanent damage has been done and Jure appears to give precisely zero shits about whatâs happened. âWho are you, my mum?â Jure scoffs. âIt's really not, it barely hurts â â âThatâll be the painkillers, which seem to be messing up your take on this.â âLook, if Iâd wanted a lecture, I would have called Kris â â âYeah, Iâd love to see how youâre going to explain this one to him.â Jan says snidely. He wants a front row seat to that show, for sure. âWhat are we supposed to do with the gigs coming up?â âI donât know, Rick Allen manages just fine.â Jure shoots back. For a moment, Jan stares him down, hands on hips, until suddenly Jure sighs, flippancy draining and leaving him deflated. âGet a session musician, I guess. I know a few people, and Iâm sure Nace has a few connections.â Jan shakes his head, insisting, âThatâs not the point, Jure.â âYeah, OK, I donât want to let the fans down. Maybe I can still be on stage?â âAlso not the point!â He canât help raising his voice. How does he not get that there are a million and one different scenarios still running through Janâs head, each worse than the last? âWhat if youâd landed on your head or something? You could have been hurt way worse!â And just like that, he can see annoyance flooding the other man again. âYeah, but I didnât, and I wasnât! Honestly, I donât get why youâre making such a huge deal â â âOh, for fuckâs sake.â He darts forward, his hands landing on either side of Jureâs jaw to hold him in place and crushes his mouth against his. He pours every last scrap of fear and frustration into it, cutting off every last what if and what now chasing through his head. Thereâs a spark of satisfaction as Jure shifts his head the fraction he can, mouth falling open beneath Janâs teeth and tongue. It only lasts a moment before footsteps echo in the hallway. Theyâre both breathless and panting as they break apart. âThere!â Jan hisses, still holding on to Jureâs face as the drummer stares back at him. âDo you understand now? A knock sounds on the door. âMr. MaÄek â â âJan â â Jure sounds as dazed as he looks. Jan can feel his jaw clenching as he shakes his head and lets go of Jure. âLater. Weâll talk later.â he says, shoving his hands in his pockets and turning to the window as the nurse comes in clutching Jureâs file.
49. ... out of necessity
âSo, the time has come!â Jure announces, startling Jan out of pretending to check his texts to look up and see their new drummer grinning up at him. âFor what?â he asks, wondering if heâs missed something. The music and chatter of the party is like a wall of noise blocking off whatâs actually happening, and heâs been lurking here in the corner for a good ten minutes trying to recharge his social batteries, beer in one hand and phone in the other. âFor us to kiss!â Jure sounds so matter of fact, as though it should be obvious. Jan raises an eyebrow, trying to stay deadpan. âOh, really?â Jure shrugs. âWell, Iâve already kissed everyone else... Bojan, Kris, Martin, even Matic on his way out.â He ticks them off on his fingers as he goes, leaving one raised that he prods into Janâs chest. âThat just leaves you.â âAnd whatâs this all for? Science?â âNah, team bonding exercise.â He canât help but laugh at the flimsy reasoning. âYou know, if you wanted to kiss me that much you couldâve just asked.â âDidnât think Iâd need to.â Jure says airily. âThought youâd make me welcome.â Jan rolls his eyes, unable to help the fond smile tugging at his lips as he slips his phone away. âWell, if thatâs how you feel, come here then.â Jure apparently doesnât need to be told twice. Heâs immediately stepping into Janâs personal space and wrapping his arms around his neck to pull him down, leaning up and meeting him halfway. Jan lets him lead, unsure exactly what heâs going for, but Jureâs lips on his are warm and insistent as he coaxes Janâs mouth open and then Jan â Jan decides to play him at his own game, wrapping his free arm around Jureâs back to draw him in closer, pushing back as much as Jure is. He lets Jure cup the back of his head and deepen the kiss, but nips back at his bottom lip, enjoying the smallest shudder he feels run through him. Jure was the one to ask for this, of course. He might as well make it memorable for him. It seems like heâs succeeded, because Jure is grinning when they break apart, wide and self-satisfied and very much the cat that got the cream. Jan canât blame him â heâs feeling quite pleased with himself too, even if he restricts it to a smirk. âWill that do, then?â he asks. Jure uncoils himself from Jan, sliding his hands over his shoulders to his chest before giving him an affectionate nudge. âHmm, maybe. I donât know.â His tone is light and teasing, though Janâs pretty sure he can hear some breathlessness in there too. âI might need more research â Iâll let you know.â And if Jure suggests they go conduct that research somewhere a bit quieter, Jan knows heâll agree. This party is boring, anyway.

Read both De Facto and De Jure and the timing is just perfect because ever since the premiere pics came out, I have been looking for modern!Aemond and these fics truly delivered!! I donât know what it is but Ewanâs green carpet look emphasized his eyes more. Oh god, itâs so hypnotic and itâs exactly what I imagined reading in Aemond especially in De Jure when he was convincing our OC to take the position. His stare is soft yet dare I say it, slightly manipulative because he knows the power of those damned eyes.
Has Aemond had relations with Alys? Or is she just really good at reading people and situations? Because she said Aemond was sweet but gorgeous for his own good, which made me think he had done this before only for the person to either get sloppy at work or want more - both of which Aemond couldnât afford to have happen to him at that ime hence why personal advisors could only last two years. Or when Alys warned her, was it about how Aemond would possibly entrap her?
Is OC older than Maris? To me it looked like Maris was hoping sheâs get private sessions with Aemond and is pissed because she thought OC is stealing him from her. Alys is right, she sounds desperate, which is why I thought her younger.
Also as someone with a degree in International Relations this made me excited hahaha. You donât know how happy I am that OC does her job well before sleeping with Aemond and sheâs got a Masterâs too. Iâm not sure how Otto knew of her involvement in handling Aegon but I think he was also onboard because OC is the entire package - sheâs smart, capable, and has a clean record. I donât think Otto cares about her personally but he cares that she can make Aemond look good and actually deliver in his duty. I mean they make the ultimate power couple and itâll surely secure the Greens position in parliament.
I also remembered the background check, does this mean Aemond was already looking for a potential partner/wife even then?
Lastly Iâm imagining what will happen now that she agreed. Will Aemond suggest they drop little hints of their relationship? Or will they just surprise everyone with a bomb that Aemond is going to be engaged, they kept their relationship on the down low but now that OC proved her worth, they wanted to come clean, etc to endear them even more to the people. Wanted to ask yout thoughts on it! Hehe
Thanks so much for reading!! â¨
De Jure has been in my drafts for MONTHS and the pics from last night catapulted me right back into the PM!Aemond brainrot and I have many thoughts đ¤Š
I see Alys as being a very intelligent and observant person, who sees through others easily and who also lives for the dramaaaa. In my head, nothing's happened between her and Aemond, but I can see them being a bit flirty haha. Alys won't know exactly what's going on in Aemond's head, but she would have picked up on the initial attraction and known something was going on as things developed between Aemond and pov character. Aemond is the PM, he's also only a piece in the Hightower political machine, so I think her warning comes from genuine concern. He's "too gorgeous for his own good," because he's charming, handsome, and he draws people in. Aemond will have been taught to be strategic and opportunistic, so he'd use that all to his advantage.
Thinking about it, it would make sense for Maris to be a year older than pov character because Maris' contract runs a year ahead of her's. I included her as a bit of a reference to F&B but Maris kind of demonstrates the extent of Aemond's attractiveness? People chase his approval but not everyone will get his favour.
Omg yes!! I did Politics and IR at uni and this is probably the best use I've made of my degree. The idea for this fic started off as a joke but I genuinely enjoyed thinking about the modern Westerosi political system and all the details.
It would have been on Aemond's mind that having a partner and a family would benefit his image, but this scenario specifically was a mix of coincidence and strategy. The way things worked out, he meets his new advisor, intrigued by her application, but he doesn't expect to be attracted to her. He'd try to restrain these feelings and rationalise them, but he's also a bit insane which is why he does the background check, he wants to know everything about her. If Otto knows who she is it's because Aemond talks about her. The fact that she's intelligent and capable would only make him more attracted to her. I think it's a slow process of realising that he wants her to be with him permanently, especially seeing how well she handles a crisis. Once the seat opens for Duskendale, that's when he'd put forward the idea to Otto and Alicent. It's a bit of a cop out for the Greens that Aegon has been dismissed for inappropriate behaviour, so they replace him with a young woman to get away from that image of misogyny. The Blacks have Jace but the Greens have a selling point of female empowerment which is why Otto and Alicent are happy to go along with it. It's a win-win for Aemond, he retains his power in Parliament and he can get the girl he wants.
I think they'd just drop the announcement. Aemond and the Greens wouldn't want a lot of speculation around the circumstances of their relationship and they'd try to direct the focus on the election. It's certainly one way to get publicity!

I had this fic idea where: Calla, Haegon, their mother and youngest siblings didn't escape and they were taken as hostages in the Red Keep. Calla kind of ends up "playing the game" and trying to forge a better life for her mom and siblings while trying to overcome her trauma of losing her brothers and dead, her anxiety over Daemon II not being around and not having any contact with him and Haegon most likely going to the faith. And she also has survivors guilt. Basically this is a "Calla plays the game while trying to survive" (this includes her glaring at BR and lowkey planning his death, finding Matarys endearing because he's actually fairly nice and so is his brother/dad, she also looks like her mom. OH AND SHE DYES HER HAIR QUITE OFTEN)
Basically my question was: how much would have changed if Calla, Haegon and their mom and younger siblings didn't get to escape?
Thatâs a really interesting, elaborate fic idea, dearxstorm! If you end up writing it, make sure to link me and Iâll write a comment! Calla has the potential to be an interesting character, and your characterization of her in the prompt sort of lines up with my own (having the Sweetness hiding Steel personality); I like the idea of a psychological story of her dealing with the loss of her family while trapped in a court that hates her at best. I also like your headcanon that she dyes her hair, because itâs a physical identification with her motherâs people; all too often, in asoiaf as in other works of fantasy, the heroes of noble families identify more with their fatherâs house at the expense of their motherâs (the young Starks identify more with their fatherâs house to a lesser degree than the others, but even the young Greyjoys are krakens rather than Harlaws, the young Martells donât consider themselves half-Norvosi, forget about Aegon V + siblings identifying themselves as something other than the blood of the dragon), and itâs the villains that tend to include parts of their motherâs heritage (the Baratheons of kingâs landing include a lion in their sigil, the Greens from the Dance of Dragons owed their initial success to their Hightower mother). In addition, Essosi women are almost to a woman treated horribly in Westeros; divorced (Mellario, Larra), exiled (Rohanne), or tortured and killed (Mysaria, Tyanna, Serala, Serenei), so itâs great you decided to single out Rohanneâs Essosi influence on her children as something neutral to positive.
As for your question about what would happen if Calla+family didnât manage to escape, I asked warsofasoiaf about it years ago; his response that Bl00draven wouldâve had them all killed, while certainly in-character (his consistent character trait is harming boys to accomplish his goals), isnât particularly satisfying for writing a fanfic with these characters. We see Da3ron II took lands and hostages from those who knelt; Lord Brackenâs son died during the Great Spring Sickness, perhaps as a hostage in Kingâs Landing; Eustace Osgreyâs daughter and only heir Alysanne was sent to the Silent Sisters at age 7, while Standfast went from a prominent lordly house to one of landed knights. Daemonâs lands and titles were likely under attainder, being of fairly recent creation. In Westeros, killing (mostly male heirs)Â or sending to the Faith (more likely female heirs) the child rivals to oneâs lordly power seems to be the norm (most infamously Aegon and Rhaenys Targaryen on Tywinâs orders, but also Cerelle Lannister by her uncle Gerold, Rohanne and Cerelle Tarbeck were sent to the Silent Sisters and Rohanneâs young son was likely murdered during the Reyne Rebellion, the extermination of Houses Darklyn and Hollard bar one after the Defiance of Duskendale). So I tried to look at examples from medieval history to see if I could save the younger Blackfyre boys:
As much grief as I give GRRM for not being historically accurate while claiming heâs true to life, the gendered fate of young male and female rivals who were captured seems to pass muster: with boys usually being killed or âdisappearedâ (Arthur of Brittany was imprisoned then murdered by his uncle King John of England, the Princes in the Tower mysteriously vanished with the prime suspect as their uncle Richard III) and girls either imprisoned (Arthurâs sister Eleanor was imprisoned for 44 years until her death by her uncle John and cousin Henry), forced into a convent (Gwenllian Princess of Wales by Edward I, Joanna la Beltraneja was given a choice between this or marrying her infant cousin Juan by his mother Isabella of Castile), or married to steal their lands/unite claims (Arthurâs mother Constance was betrothed to his father from age 5 after her brother was forcibly disinherited from the duchy of Brittany, and Iâm still not sure what happened to him; Eleanor de Montfort was eventually married to Llewellyn of Wales after she was captured and imprisoned by the English).Â
I think the best hope for the Blackfyre boys is for them be rescued and taken to Tyrosh (although Bl00draven would probably try to separate them to prevent all of them taken at once).Â
A longer-term option is for Rohanneâs relatives in Tyrosh to try to negotiate their release, probably with a solemn oath never to return to Westeros (happened with the Charles VIIâs cousin Charles Duke of Orleans who spent 25 years in various English prisons after his capture by the English at Agincourt until his old rivals the Burgundians negotiated his release; Amaury de Montfort, despite having taken holy vows, was captured along with his sister Eleanor and only by swearing never to return to England and the Pope plus Llewellyn intervening was he released).
Failing that, maybe Baelor Breakspear could try to go âthe Dontos Hollard routeâ, asking for clemency out of the boysâ age/birth, and sending them to Kingâs Landing as squires, and probably make sure they donât return to their old lands. I doubt theyâd be allowed to wed, but I suppose Rohanne could petition for a restoration of Daemonâs old lands to House Blackfyre (as Anne Scott managed to save her lands from her husband Duke Jamesâ attainder after the Monmouth rebellion, and her two surviving sons by him were able to marry and inherit and were loyal to the crown), and they could be wed into a loyal Red house of Da3ronâs choosing; itâd be her grandchildren inheriting these lands (Elizabeth I imprisoned her cousin Katherine Grey for the rest of her life for secretly marrying and had her separated from her two sons, but they were allowed to marry and her grandson became the next Duke of Somerset, despite his family reputation). Not Daemon II if heâs been captured with the others, but possibly Aenys. Iâm not saying this is a likely scenario considering the characterization of Bl00draven and the actions of Da3ron II to the other children of rebels, but itâs a kinder solution that maybe Baelor might come up with.
I donât imagine that these boys will be sent to the Faith, but rather the Nightâs Watch seems to be the place for defeated rebels/men sentenced to death; so in all likelihood at least the elder ones could be sent to the Nightâs Watch once theyâre old enough. Westeros as well as medieval history has shown how easy it could be to take someone from a convent/monastery and use them to take their lands/incite a rebellion (Robar abducting Rhaella from the Faith; Marie of Boulogne was abducted from her convent by Matthew of Alsace to forcibly marry him to steal her lands), plus these vows can be undone (at least in medieval Italy, where sometimes cardinals had to leave the Church to get married to continue their family line; itâs implied in the sentences of Lucinda and Priscella that septas can break their vows) so I think at least the elder ones would not be allowed.
The Blackfyre girls have a higher chance of not being murdered. The worst case-scenario that I could unfortunately see happening is sending them to the Silent Sisters along with poor Alysanne Osgrey, which seems to happen to the most dangerous of noblewomen (rebel queen Marla Sunderland, sasser-of-kings Maris Baratheon, Ellyn Reyneâs daughters Rohanne and Cerelle), all potential heiresses for another rebellion (not likely with so many brothers, but if they manage to escape and another uprising coalesces around them who knows). Another option would be to the Faith to be septas, which happened to more minor noblewomen men wanted out of the way (Rhaella and Megetteâs daughters for their âinconvenient birthâ, Lucinda Penrose and Priscella Hogg for their roles in the plot to kill Daenaera).Â
A particularly painful scenario would be confining them in the Maidenvault until/if a new king decides to release them as their grandmother Daena was. Considering that the next king is Aerys, I doubt they would be released (like Eleanor of Brittany) or marry
It seems not uncommon in Westeros for an ambitious man to marry an heiress of the previous ruler to become suo jure lord of her lands (Tyrek Lannisterâs marriage to the infant Lady Ermesande Hayford, Dickon Tarlyâs marriage to Eleanor Mooton, Lancelâs marriage to Amerei Frey to steal Darry, and most famously Orys Baratheonâs forcible marriage to Argella Durrandon). The problem with doing this in regards to the Blackfyre girls is that considering their fatherâs lands are probably under attainder, they donât have lands to inherit, much less a dowry. Of course, Rohanne could try to petition for a creation of new lands, possibly in exchange for giving up their claim to the throne (Princess Renee of France gave up her claim to the duchy of Brittany in exchange for being made duchess of Chartres by King Francis I, so she could finally be allowed to marry). Another idea would be to send them abroad for matches to Essosi cities the Reds have ties to, such as Lys and Pentos. In a happy scenario, the Blackfyre girls were allowed to marry with permission; to show that Da3ron is serious about healing the realm, he or Baelor could betrothe Calla and Matarys (not expected to inherit the throne; your prompt said they were getting along!). What happens after his death in the Great Spring Sickness is anyoneâs guess.
In the edgy scenario, the girls marry without permission, possibly to a Velaryon descendant of Baelaâs (just going by my theory of at least some Velaryons as Blackfyre supporters); it seems in medieval England that some potential female claimants to the crown did marry secretly to men with more distant claims (Lady Katherine Grey as mentioned before, but also Lady Arabella Stuart two generations later, to Greyâs own grandson), thus frustrating the desires of their monarchs to marry them abroad. Sometimes they were able to escape their captors and raise their children in exile, eventually allowed to return to their home country; the most famous of these was Margaret Beaufort and her son Henry, who later won the English throne by right of conquest with weak dynastic claim.
A lot of these scenarios ignore the canonical cruelty of Bl00draven and the vindictiveness of Da3ron with regards to the Blackfyres and their supporters; I donât imagine that they would show mercy to the defeated rebels, and warsofasoiafâs scenario that they would all be secretly murdered is definitely a possibility. They also ignore Rohanneâs characterization (such that it is) of a take-charge noblewoman who was in my opinion unquestionably a pro-Blackfyre rebel that used her money and influence in Tyrosh to provide a home for the exiles and orchestrated their escape (the idea that Aegor Rivers helped Rohanne escape to her own country seems to diminish her achievements); I donât think she would be asking the Targaryens for any favors, considering in canon she knew them well enough that she preferred to flee than surrender to the House that gave Bl00draven high office. Barring the âBl00draven kills them allâ scenario, I donât think she would be executed due to her sex and that sheâs from foreign nobility (especially if her male relative was still Archon), but we have no idea if the Faith is an option for her (did she convert? Considering the characterization of GRRMâs other Essosi women as holding to their homelandâs traditions, I doubt it); itâs likely to me she would be separated from her children, who would be governed by Red supporters (maybe if Rhaena is still alive, she could coach the girls?), an emotionally hard punishment for her (considering all of her canonical actions involve her children, it seems she loved them very much). Itâs possible she might be sent back to Tyrosh as a gesture of goodwill to her family, after some years of confinement; or she could be sent to a remote location, like Cassandra Baratheon upon a forced marriage to Walter Brownhill.
tl;dr If the Blackfyres and Rohanne arenât going to be murdered after being captured: the boys would likely go to the Nightâs Watch once old enough, or imprisoned in the Red Keep and married under ideal conditions; the girls might go to the Faith, imprisoned in the Maidenvault, married off to non-Tyroshi Essosi, or secretly married; Rohanne would likely be briefly imprisoned, separated from her children, and either sent to the remote countryside or Tyrosh. What happens to them depends on how merciful the Reds are feeling, and how much of a risk they deem them to be. Just expect that if someone leads a rebellion in their name, for the boys to die.Â

Thereâs a mod for CKII called After the End, which basically has the premise that at some point in the next 600 or so years there was some sort of cataclysmic Event that caused society to break down and everyone to go back to medieval tech and feudalism, which, ok, I kind of disagree that that would happen, but since the whole point was to try to come up with a scenario where it conceivably made sense to play CKII in North America, I decided I could suspend my disbelief long enough to load up the mod and see what they did with the town where I grew up (Tucson AZ). Then I actually started a game with it and actually sort of got into it.
Ramble following.
Locating Tucson confused me for a bit... I saw Phoenix, and Yuma, and Sierra Vista, and was like, whereâs Tucson? Then I noticed that the county I was looking at was called Two Sun. I love it, I can totally see that backformation happening. So thereâs a guy whose capital is in Two Sun, who is the high chief of Gadsden. So naturally I play him. His culture (along with everyone else in the general area of Arizona) is âArixanâ, which seems to be based off of the de jure kingdom that takes up roughly the same space as Arizona, which is called Arixo. (Arizona also exists, but it is a duchy to the north of Gadsden/Two Sun.) Everyone down here follows the âAtomicistâ religion, which seems to be the worship based around residual knowledge of atomic theory and various nuclear projects. Los Alamos and Three Mile Island are holy sites, as well as some other places that I guess are nuclear related? They have a ritual of exposing their children to radiation, which gives a health debuff and has a chance to give a bigger health debuff and a pretty big fertility debuff. The benefit is increased opinion with Atomicists who donât have the trait and clergy, which is actually useless to the high chief of Gadsden since heâs a tribal leader with no temple vassals. I would just choose not to have this done, but the choice goes to the same-gender parent and my wife has decided to âblessâ all four of my daughters. Two of them got the bad trait and one of them died. This will make the game interesting for sure, particularly when many of the available marriage candidates also have the bad trait and thus the fertility debuff.
Some of the Atomicist coats of arms are pretty interesting:
Atomicists are in the âOld World Cultistâ religion group, which seems to be for people that have religionified old things from before the Event (as opposed to religions that are continuations of pre-Event religions, or at least pre-Event philosophies). Also in this group:
There seems to be a bug right now where everything in vanilla CKII that was specific to a religion or religion group that is not in the mod is now available to everyone. So I have a ton of reasons to declare war, and everyone has a succession law that is normally exclusive to Muslims. Itâs make the game much easier for me than I think it would be normally, so I think Iâm just going to keep playing until either I get bored or something breaks horribly, and then go find the fixed version on github and start over. The succession law thing has, for example, seemingly messed up Americanist presidential elections. I think the only person in the mod who doesnât have this succession law right now is the Pope. Who now rules from St. Louis, by the way. Thereâs also a matriarchal version of Catholicism in Quebec, and so far theyâve both called crusades for Louisiana, where people practice Vodun. For some reason there are Vikings, I think because something something midwestern sports teams called the Vikings. Some Native American religions, some Afro-Syncretic religions, two Protestant religions, various other Catholic offshoots and heresies, the west coast has some vaguely new age looking stuff. There are a LOT of fucking religions. In my area, I have fellow Atomicists to the south and east in Northern Mexico and New Mexico, Mormons to the north, and a religion to the west in California whose religious head is the Emperor of California who was immediately unseated by another Californian, probably because of the extra wars everyone gets. Further east there are Catholics, and further south there is something called Sagrado CorazĂłn that looks like itâs based off of Mexican Catholicism.
I subjugated Phoenix, holy warred a Neo-Gnostic heretic from Colorado who had gotten some land in Arixo, got a Mormon tributary. One more subjugation and like 200 more gold and I can form Arizona and then Arixo. Iâm a tribe, but most of the neighbors I have now are feudal, which means they have better quality troops than me, but I can summon 2500 extra troops out of the aether using only prestige. My main source of money is pillaging Flagstaff to the ground:
They canât do anything about me because they only own one county and the AI never raises troops when there are hostile armies in that county. In a regular game, if you play as a tribe in, say, Scandinavia, you can sail down with your boats and sack Rome, Venice, and Constantinople (although the Byzantines at least can eventually chase you away) and make a ton of money. But there is no beachfront property in Arizona, so I only have Flagstaff unless I can conquer a county in northern Mexico and get a port, and even then I wonât have many ships to transport loot.
For some reason, everyone with martial skill is wearing something that looks like a low-tech football helmet:
There are also some cowboy hats, but not nearly as many as I expected. One of my children was named Cleef. At the time I thought, yeah, that sure is a cowboy name, but then I realized that it really only sounds like a cowboy name because of Lee van Cleef of Spaghetti Western fame, and then I realized that what must have happened was that the Arixans got ahold of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and something to play it on, watched it, and said, yes, this is gospel from the holy Atom, this is 100% True Knowledge of what our ancestors were like before the Event, and then they started naming their kids after the actors because none of the characters actually have names except for Tuco. (I did look for Tucos, but sadly they did not exist. However, that could just be because Tuco is Mexican and Arixan is an Anglo culture.) Also, my cultural retinue is 400 light cavalry called a âcowboy retinueâ. I canât see what buffs they get until I buy them (the game is super helpful like that sometimes), which I probably wonât be able to do until after I become feudal, though.
I think I am big enough to be relatively safe from Mormon and Californian holy wars right now - I was fighting a vassal a while back and four people declared wars on him at once when he wasnât under my protection, and I had to fight them all off, which I actually managed to do. But I think if I were an easy target for them, they would have attacked me before that, I canât imagine that Iâm very imposing, but maybe I am just too much effort to beat for the land they would get from me. Thatâs good enough for the moment, anyway. I just hope no one takes Flagstaff away from me.

New Post has been published on http://drubbler.com/2017/01/27/that-laid-bare-of-lukashenka-what-is-it-afraid-of-why-would-he-war-against-russia/
That laid bare of Lukashenka? What is it afraid of? Why would he war against Russia?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Valery shahs, January 28, 2017, 12:09- REGNUM
all those (including myself) who, to varying degrees, were, are and will be deeply involved in the case of Russian mass media, the Belarusian journalists arrested in December 2016, de jure by the pleadings, but de facto without being the real charges, puzzled over natural questions: what was it? who benefits from this? What are the benefits? Lukashenka or kurtosis executor?
the prevailing version was the one that this blackmail to achieve concessions from Russia of an economic nature. In its confirmation of Lukashenka was not present at the meeting, saying the EAEC adopted there document a draft only, failure to reach agreements on oil and gas issues, indefinite extension increased the tariff for the transit of hydrocarbons and other.
Finally, he now said about the struggle for independence, stressing that âthe main direction of our struggle for independence runs through the economy, not in the military, not political. And here all have focused on the economic component of the thesis. But what is the meaning of the thesis? But the point is that, according to Lukashenko, Belarus, it turns out, leads struggle for independence and the economy is just one, albeit important, the direction of this fight, but not the only one, there are others-and in the military and in political, but they are not the main, not main.
so, in fact, Lukashenka proclaimed the struggle for independence. If declared such a fight, should be clearly defined and actors participating in it. If Belarus Liege, called metropolis. Lukashenka calls not yet it only hints at who today fights our brotherly Ukraine ââ for itsâ independence â.
in light of these recent statements appeared every reason to believe that all the antics of Lukashenko over the past two months is not blackmail, it is provocation. This is very similar to finger stick in a sleeping bear. Why? What are the benefits? This unexpected version: Lukashenka is afraid of losing power.
heâs not afraid to maidana, it rather it provokes, because then he can stay and headed West, with whom he flirts, in his opinion, will help him. He is afraid of the Crimean scenario. Then he will lose power for sure. In support of this version are understandable and his flirtations with the nationalists, and unjustified cruelty towards all those who dared speak out loud two words âRusskiy Mirâ, and reverences âfraternal Ukrainian people and most importantly â attempts to awaken the sleeping bear, which, if awake, capable of unpredictable behavior and deeds that it in ordinary life is not peculiar. The aggressiveness of the beast in this case raises several times. This of course, but it looks like zoology Lukashenko awaits and wants exactly this reaction to shout: âsentry, aggressor!â.
Why he could start to be afraid of the Crimean scenario? There may be many reasons. It is important to note that only unexplained behavioral changes Lukashenko appeared immediately after the election, d. Trump President United States, which could not even imagine the head of âfraternal Ukraine as well as Belarus, commits now numerous provocations by its stick in bear. He too is afraid of losing power and he too is eager to provoke a bear on unpredictable actions and increase its aggressiveness in several times. Because the aggressor who join?
as rightly noticed e. Fromm: âa passion for power is not from strength but of weakness.â
