Introducing my Pizza Tower OC: Mel

Main Info:

Mel, full name Carmello Sagebloom. Is a gardener shopkeeper of the produce and plant shop "Mel's Mellow Plants and Produce". He recently moved into town after the whole "Crumbling Tower" incident that was all over the news. He lives across Peppino's Pizza, in which after Peppino and Mel's rough beginnings of clashing differences, were able to have an agreement to become business partners, with Mel supplying Peppino with produce for his pizzas.

Mel and Peppino are pretty good friends(?). Mel helps Peppino mellow out his anxieties and Peppino helps Mel learn that it's okay to let loose and unleash his inner demons sometimes.

Personality:

Mel is a laid-back, tea-drinking, peace-loving, plant-eating hippie. He loves spending the day tending to his plants, drinking chamomile tea, meditating, and listening to soft rock. He loves spreads the message of peace, love, tranquility, and positivity on the daily but he tends to break those beliefs sometimes when he's been pushed too over the edge. He also loves plant puns, and dad jokes in general, making many around him groan, especially Peppino, who hates them (but in a good way).

Mel, is admittedly lonely, as he himself has social anxiety despite his relaxed demeanor. He spends a lot of time talking to his plants and treating them like people or like his children, even to the point of naming many of them (Tabatha, Gregory, Chuck, etc). However, he loves blabbing on about plants and agriculture to those he's close to, loving to inform many on his expanded knowledge on botany facts. He spends hours talking about plants with Peppino, who loves learning about Mel's passion for plants despite knowing nothing about gardening.

Guys I swear they're not gay I swear, they are just really good friends who hold hands and hug sometimes.

I hope to do more stuff on Mel and on other Pizza Tower OCs I'm planning to post about.

I'm a little late to the Nintendo direct- college has been consuming SOME of my time but I had time to whip this up! It's been like- what? Half a year since I drew Peppino (And Tomoko- though that's on my instagram... and notebooks-), decided to dedicate this to PT because I genuinely love it's 90s aesthetic! Congrats to Tourde pizza and Mcpig for having Pizza Tower on the switch!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Story is that Peppino was caught up on work and forgot about his Valentine’s date with Ivette. He had to rush to get some flowers, chocolate and a teddy bear. He was attacked by a dog that chewed up the bear, he dropped the chocolates and to stop the dog from biting, he whacked them with the flowers. Ivette is glad he’s ok and appreciates his effort. She patches him up and they watched a movie and cuddled to sleep
