OOOH okay SO theres this book called Just Ash by Sol Santana, and the main character is intersex!! ive only ever once seen an intersex character in a piece of media, and that was 7 years ago. Just Ash kinda details the struggles that some intersex people can go through, and i learned a lot because of it (i didnt even know that salt wasting was a thing before reading this book). Just Ash also inspired me to start doing research on disabilities that arent as well-known throughout the world, such as scoliosis or ostomy.

I’m not gonna lie- I don’t super know what this song means, and neither would Guy. I do know that it’s fun, it’s a love song, it’s indie rock, and it’s a classic. This strikes me as the type of song that Guy knows all the words and can perform without a second thought, thus he loves turning it up and singing it at you whenever it comes on in the car.

(pt 1, pt2 <- like literally at the end) but that footage is pretty low-quality considering it was from like. 2012 so i recommend not watching it live at first 😬 even tho it is supposed to be heard live cause its more of a, kinda theatre thing. That show was really good tho. Especially banter-wise.

It also depends on how you want to listen to it! They have 4 main albums, theyre concept albums that tell a story (think a musical but the visuals are just that they're supposed to be telling a story). And 2 albums of 'assorted' oneshot stories!

I'd say listen to them by order of release? Their first one is Once Upon A Time (In Space) and its about if you took fairytales and put them in an intergalactic civil war.

I love your analysis of fools and wonder. Those songs and sick of loosing soulmates are my go to angsty otp songs, because they’re so… tentative. They’re about longing and TRYING for more. And that’s kind of what George and Lewis are for each other and for racing. It’s about trying in the face of uncertainty. I used to listen to them on repeat as I read fanfic, just over and over.

I think you’ll like run for cover, it’s mostly songs about antagonising each other, pushing boundaries but still being drawn back together. But there’s also some that are just about the cost of perfection; those are about how George feels like working for redbull is like having a knife held to his throat, constantly on the edge of falling. Lewis is all about playing with fire, red bull is the stinging burn.

I very much like your song recs and they have now both been added. Kimy will be delighted I’ve finally added a Taylor song lol. I’m not very musically educated, I get most of my songs from either the radio (I listen to 80’s radio with my dad a lot), exercise playlists, or YouTubers using it for montage music or animated music videos. And tiktok, a lot comes from tiktok. Sue me. The rest will be my dads influence. He likes Coldplay, muse, imagine dragons, arctic monkeys, and therefore, so do I lmao.

I’d say I actually listen to purely music while I write MORE than when I draw. I can watch anything while I draw, I spend a lot of time watching the Simpsons or family guy on marathon while I draw because it’s a very brain off kind of activity. Part of the little cocktail of Autism and Adhd in my brain means I find it hard to do ONE thing at a time, or my brain gets too loud. Because art is a physical thing, I can watch tv while I work. When I write it needs more brain power so I find it harder to have TV on. I used to have to write in complete silence and I *hated* it. I also find a good music playlist now keeps me on track for the mood I wanted, which in AIWLYN and Run for Cover is really important. Otherwise I just use the good vibes list hahaha

Bach’s Inventions are all slow and very simple (they’re used for teaching technique to beginner/intermediate students). I keep this playlist of their English subbed videos on YouTube. In particular, I would recommend On the Run, which follows them from pre-debut to beyond and for something more recent their Mini Game Heaven videos for each member's birthdays are extremely fun and silly. And of course there's always their V Lives which are easy enough to find haha.

On their YouTube channel the members post ON FILM videos of their song covers or dance performances and there's an official playlist of them all here. Some of my favorites are probably OFF Team's Stay, Wyatt's Holy, MK's Happier J-Us' Poom and E-Tion's Intentions, but they're all great.

Fly Me To The Moon on Inkigayo 180729 — Their goodbye stage for You Complete Me mini-album and the first time they performed this properly, after showing off the dance lots of times and fansigns. To me it's stunning.

Difficult on HeyoTV 170822 — OKAY THIS ONE. Objectively not a great performance. Less than a month after debut, they really struggle with the small stage, MK loses his in ear, just a fair number of mistake and it's ADORABLE. THEYRE LIKE LITTLE LOST LAMBS AND IT ALWAYS MAKES ME SMILE.

Moscow Moscow on Music Bank 191108 —Fan favorite song that they completely nail. Beautiful, melancholic, puts you right in the moment. One of several songs off the GO LIVE mini album where Yuto proves he's so much more than "just" a main dancer. SO GOOD.

Asteroid at Go Live Comeback Showcase 191007 —THE DANCE! THE VOCALS! ON TEAM AND OFF TEAM! THE ATMOSPHERE. YUTO'S DANCE PART. IT BLEW MY MIND WHEN I FIRST SAW IT.

Twinkle Twinkle at Go Live Comeback Showcase 191007 — THE CUTEST SONG AND CUTEST CHOREOGRAPHY EVER. J-Us and Yuto did the choreography together on this one btw.

Man In The Mirror on Busking Diary 180530 — One of the songs they used to practice as trainees. J-Us in particular shines here.

Original on M Countdown 170914 — Just a fun and cute song. Original was actually the first song they performed in public as a team a few months before they debuted, so it has a special place in my heart. A great song for MK.

스물네번(86400) at Go Live on Stage 191224 — Such a sweet ballad, they sound beautiful together 😭

Timing (타이밍) at Go Live on Stage 191225 —

Originally this was a song by WM family ONF did with Oh My Girl and B1A4 (MV/Live), but this was their first (ok technical 12/24 was first :P) time doing it on their own and it's an absolute dream!

Why at M Countdown 191031 — YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL YOU'VE HAD THE UNDEAD PRIEST ONF HALLOWEEN WHY PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE!!!!

억x억 (All Day) at Mini Fanmeeting 191103 — The first time they did one of my favorite songs 😁 so good!!!

And of course there's tons of music show performances for their title tracks, ON/OFF, Complete (널 만난 순간), 사랑하게 될 거야 (We Must Love) and Why! I kinda avoided those in my recs above cos I wanted to showcase some of their lesser known stuff, but they're ALL amazing.
