#this happened a few nights ago but I didn’t know how to say it but this concept came to me at 4am lmaooooo #anyways so yeah my roommate is studying at her desk and I’m scrolling on my phone in bed in my pjs #when I hear a bit of a commotion near our dorm and my first thought is ‘oh no they’re gonna come inside’ before telling myself:#a) that’s silly those boys wouldn’t do that and b) our door’s totally locked so it’s fine #but turns out I was wrong on both counts :/#cuz the next thing I knew two random dude are *in my room* and they had said smth (but I was too shocked to register anything except ‘??!!’)#(y’all I was in my pjs too I was sittin there without a bra 😭😭😭😭😭😭)#eventually tho my face went from being shocked to being furious and I gotta say I haven’t heard myself use such an angry tone in a long time #but I basically demanded ‘WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE’ and their faces quickly paled and they backtracked by saying ‘oops wrong dorm’#(likely story cuz mine and my roommates names are literally ON THE DOOR and that whole hall is FULLY LIT UP like how can you miss that???)#I talked with one of my friends about this (cuz I wanted to see what she thought and if maybe those guys really were mistaken)#but then she brought up that ^ point and yeah if I see em doing anything like that again I’ll prob report em to my ra or smth #but until then I guess my roommate and I will be making to sure keep our door properly locked 💀#🎶song sings🎶

if you draw enough monster ocs, when you go back to drawing a human character, it feels like "sameface syndrome" everytime, by virtue of their face being. human.

#toy txt post #or maybe i am just sameface syndrome #but also different face syndrome #two characters will have the same face but then the next time i draw those characters its a different face than they had last time!#i know part of it is being out of practice but also there is definitely an element of feeling constrained by human facial structure lmao #the monsters have Their Own Problems but like. no one has a face like bokrae no matter how inconsistent i am about drawing her #her features are iconic enough to her that you can tell everytime #birdie???? i faceclaimed eartha kitt for her and im still struggling cos i feel weird about faceclaiming as a concept #but even then 😭 one time i was trying to give headloose a face and someone was like wow he looks like birdie!#me 😭😭😭😭😭 what!!!!!! hes not supposed to!!!!!!!!!!!!!#i need to practice. features #you know the worst part about coming up w a bunch of fuckin Scenarios in my brain for ocs is that i have even fucking Drawn them yet #to give them like. iconic staple features and figure out what their faces look like. which feels like it would really help to have that #knowledge and muscle memory before i jump into trying to draw intense scenes with difficult poses!!#not to mention. listen. i can do the monster faces. somewhat. the bodies??????????? well for one. theyre too big everytime #im convinced i could be trying to draw bokrae on like a full ass wall size paper like a mural thing and run out of room. it just keeps #happening. i have no sense of scale for them either. by which i mean i struggle w scale already and also cant decide what i want it to be #and ive tried to handwave it away by being like ohhh uh. birdie casts spells on them to change their sizes for convenience but also #no. perhaps that explanation works for other ppl. @ myself tho its not good enough i Know Better!!!!!!#agh!!!!!!! i really need to figure out bokrae's Teeth also. like i dont. i coukd get away with it. but i should. and i want to.#anyway all this to say that i need to give these characters faces and body designs (actually the body designs for humanoid ocs is the easy #part. the faces are whats stumping me? well. i need more practice w all the body types again but like i Know what im Going For at least.#for the most part anyway. havent fully figured out heights. struggling w characters that i want to make short but give imposing tall energy #on occasion? birdie can be short all day long no problem. I want Alasdair to be short enough that he has a bunch of short boyfriends that #feel tall around him? bytte was going to be like 6ft max but then i thought about making her taller and like. what if i made her taller #headloose is not that /short/ but he is Not Tall and prolly pretty lean? twink build for sure #and of course all these short /tall distinctions come with a bias of relativity to my own height which i categorize as medium height #but short ppl call me tall and insist its not average and tall ppl call me short. (5'6) and then i have to factor in how the gender changes #the dynamic of a height like my height is Short For A Man but medium to tall for a Woman. which id argue is medium height bc mens heights #are socially held to high standards (hehe) and also i know ethnicity/race is also a factor? but im out of tags. rip. bye

in a perpetual state of i need a haircut i need a piercing i need to dye my hair i need a tattoo bc i was so so busy being too depressed to want anything as a teenager to have my first years of self expression besides dyeing my hair every few months. but now that im 23 and dont live with my mom im like ohughh god. its my time. i wanna change my clothes my hair my face!!!!! btw does anyone have opinions on hair dye. i used to like ion a lot when i was dyeing my hair regularly but that was like. years n years ago. ive been using good dye young but i dont rlly like it :~(

Hello Zundamon.

#i built the little plafia zundamon figure kit! i was like #a little scared because ive only ever done like one gundam once years ago #BUT it went pretty smooth and it was fun #a couple tiny pieces i think ill need to glue later (the tiny necktie specifically) but most stuck together pretty solid press fit #her legs fall off all the time while posing but thats just the nature of this type of joint so im used to it #the default and scared face are pre painted but the other four have waterslide decals which was scary cause id never done those before #BUT actually it was chill and pretty easy LOL just finicky #later i guess ill use some doll sealant i have around to seal the decals in #shes so silly....maybe sometime ill get the ankomon ver too...and i think theyre planning on making a zunko #id specifically looooove an itako but i imagine if they do all they'll do kiritan next #which also isnt bad theyre all silly sisters + their weird freak pet zundamon <3 #SHE didnt come with a stand i think that was exclusive for like. a limited edition from the companys store #which that will be an adventure trying to find a stand for her.....but somehow i got her to balance for this photo LOL #she canNOT stand by herself 99% of the time tho her big ass head tail thing and tiny feet forbid it #but i had fun building her and now i have a funny little thang on my desk. hello zundamon.#edit: now i will say. my aim is bad when cutting off the plastic nubs #i am going to be stepping tiny plastic bits stuck in my carpet for days <3

it's only taken me like 10 years of "yeah, I'll get to it eventually"'s to have finally sat down and actually started my first playthrough of Dragon Age 2 lmao... perfectly on-brand for me (being insanely late to everything)

#delete later #dragon age 2 #it's so odd having read so many posts about it and having a whole phase back in high school for Dragon Age but never playing it #enough time has passed that I remember like... just bare-bone basics but still not enough to spoil some of the bigger stuff (i think)#anyway tl;dr: i'm enjoying it so far! more than I expected tbth... really enjoying the darker/grimmer vibe compared to Origins imo #playing as another Mage cuz comfort zone... also more connection to my Warden that way hahaha #but finally..... after sooooooo long I can FINALLY use the name I set aside for this protagonist omg #STERLING HAWKE IS REAL FELLAS it's awesome #just wish u coulda tweaked the default face with the mark on the nose tho... such a weird choice to not let u use that #also im NOT looking stuff up for DA2 where I can so I'm constantly baffled by companion approval/disapproval because im unfamiliar with the #...maybe sometime in the next 5 years I'll finally get to Inquisition (properly) LMAO but... one step at a time right?#(Veilguard will not be on my radar for another 10 years at this rate... trust me fgjhdgd)

Just bought 2 new webkinz off ebay! It was a tough choice, because I found a lot of 6 dogs featuring the springer spaniel, clover setter, spooky puppy, peace puppy, texting puppy, and mohawk puppy for $70. But instead I decided to buy a cherry soda pup and peace puppy separately because I liked their faces more (cost me exactly $40 after taxes and shipping, tho). Ik the value of the lot was better considering what I was getting, but making an emotional connection with my plushies means more to me than cost
