Hey Casper!I was wondering what are your thoughts on Bill and Tom🤔
Bill and Tom were the kids with spot on gaydar, noticing both Vlad and Eddie as queer?? I remember those kids and I feel for Vlad, it was one of his most relatable things to me. I understand that they're there to show us that Vlad isn't popular at all tho tbh I think the whole "you do ballet lol" as a comeback was uh kinda lame? "You're not actually hyper masculine haha" is not a joke that ages well and it says something about Vlad's character that just gets glossed over rather than questioned? Like Vlad if you knew anything about ballet you'd know people who do it have some of the strongest legs ever, it's not really much of a shameful thing without the notion that the other students are just dicks about men doing anything other than mainstream masculinity. (AND WE CAN'T EVEN GET INTO IT ABOUT HOW THIS JOKE COULD BE VLAD'S OWN INTERNALIZED HOMOPHOBIA NOPE WE DON'T HAVE TIME)
And then terrifying them with his powers at the end to get them to stop messing with him felt lackluster, imo it would've been cooler if he'd just stopped taking shit from them like a normal kid would, not leaning on terrifying them. It didn't age well, I knew kids that used having been bullied to justify violence or threats of violence and it felt lame for Vlad to do the same thing (and I will be the first to admit that I Love morally grey Vlad!! But this instance didn't do it for me personally, it didn't feel like something he'd regret, it's treated as a good thing by the narrative which I think is whack.) I like that Vlad outgrows being bullied by sticking up for himself but I think it could've been done in a less heavy handed manner. Their characters could've been more, as with all covt side characters tbh. Idk if I explain it well, I just think they could've made Vlad relatable if he'd overcome that obstacle the way real teenagers do, not by being a god.

black orphan |l.ty
genre: angst, smut mafia!taeyong, taeyonxreader, mafia au
tw: mentions of dead, murders, bad language, sex, mafia, mafia stuff
summary: being daugther of people who are hierarchy..well known around south korea isn’t very nice especially when they’re mafia and you killed them. u know what also isn’t easy? taking care of your younger sister.
authors note: pls if you have time it would be nice if you could read this it’s about lately thing with chinese idols. i explain there why some people should stop spreading hate on them and that it’s not really their fault.
Tumblr media
when you were child you didn’t understand what were your parents doing. you only knew you were rich. private schools. everything you want. most expensive clothes. everything. trip to hot country in middle of the winter? no problem. you and your sister minhee had everything. but your father and mother didn’t forget to teach you that you need to work for what you have.
you were always amazed by your parents untill you were 16 years old and started to understand what they are doing for living. your parents were killers and drug sellers. you couldn’t belive it at first but with time you understood. that’s how your family is living. that’s how kim’s family is living. with time you learned about mafia life and your parents business. your father made sure that his daughter is going to take care of their business one day.. exactly - one day. one night your mother was standing in front of you with smile.
“y/n you are getting married.” she smiled wider. “he is son of rich man who can be needed.”
“what?”
they wanted you to marry some 40 years old man and sell your younger sister because they would had only benefits. it was this time when it hits you.
you are just 24 years old, are you really going to kill your parents? answer is yes. few weeks ago you poisoned your parents and made sure that everyone would think that their heart stopped. because of this you were now the owner of kim hierarchy. now you are boss.
you were sitting at conference room with jackson when someone called you.
“yes honey?” you smiled. “how much do you need? okay. take my credit card. yes it’s fine.”
you hung up. it was minhee. she needed some money so you gave it to her.
“it was minhee right?”
“how do you know?”
“you always smile this way when you are talking with minhee.”
“damn jackson. you know me too well.” jackson chuckled. “so now. how is the deal with sagurako family?”
“i think they don’t want to pay us.”
 you could only smile.
“they really don’t take me seriously.” you sighed. “kill his son.”
“ok, how and when?”
“whatever. tell jaebum that it’s job for him.”
“yes sir.”
you really weren’t in mood to games. you just want money and nothing else. is this that hard? pay what they own you? your parets exactly but they are dead so you should take money, right? they don’t matter same as their children. they have five kids so one less isn’t big deal.
when you were sitting by your desk you heard someone. it was yugyeom. you sighed and walked to the coridor.
“why the fuck are you so loud?”
“because bambam is stupid idiot.”
“what? no!” he shout. “he almost kill me.”
“whatever. be quiter.”
“y/n wait!” yugyeom looked in to your eyes. “someoe was following minhee when she was at school and then with her friends.”
hearing this made you upset. you know that you have much more enemies than friends but you had hope that minhee isn’t going to be part of their hit list.
“bambam take me home i need to talk with her.”
“what are you going to do?” yugyeom was looking at you confused. he knows very well that you don’t play games. “are you going to kill somebody again?”
“ew no. she is going to have home school. ask youngjae or mark to hire someone ok?”
“yes.”
your sister safety is your priority. she didn’t do anything wrong and she is innocnt teen. you couldn’t let someone to hurt her or even worse. of course minhee knew that yours family works in dirty business but she doesn’t know much. and it should stay like this. minhee isn’t going to take your company one day. you can’t do it. if you won’t be dead to your 60s you would give company to your child or something but at this moment it isn’t time to think about this.
the whole house was clean. junmyeon was here for sure. you smiled softly. take off your coat and boots. first thing you did was to drink some watter. drinking watter is important especially for your brain’s work. when you were done you went to find your sister.
“minhee!” you looked around your house but you didn’t hear her back. sighing you went to check her and you could hear she was talking with someone. “minhee!”
you walked in and first thing you saw was her with phone.
“i’m sorry. didn’t hear you.”
“yeah, it’s okay. are you fine?”
“yes. everything is fine. something happend?”
“you not gonna attend school anymore. you will have home lessons. you know teacher will be here with you.” you shrugged.
“what? no way!”
“you can’t do anything about this.”
“you can’t lock me there! the fuck y/n! i have friends there.”
“they can come to house.”
“but no..wtf. i don’t want to.”
“it’s for your safety.” you tried to hug her. “i know it’s not cool and all but i don’t have any other choice.”
minhee was looking at you with only hate in her eyes.
“are you trying to lock me down? just like parents did to you?”
“no, of course no! it’s not it.” you took package of ciggs. “i don’t want to see that you are dead. someone is following you. if you still be arguing you’ll be dead soon.”
“w-who is following me?”
“i don’t know. jackson hire some teacher and some bodyguards so i hope you’ll be safe here if no then i have to send you to china.”
“china?”
“yes to our uncle.”
“why the fuck i can’t live normal live.”
“listen. you can’t choose family but you should be grateful for us. for what you have. i work hard for everyting we achhived.”
“how? by killing people? it’s a job for you?” she smirked. “you are exactly like parents. what else do you do? drugs? murders? are you selling people?”
“done! i’m fuckin done. you can’t leave the house for next week. better accept how things are going because i’m not gonna let you talk to me like that.” you were pissed of. “you didn’t even know them well, what can you know? you acting like i don’t care about you even tho it’s not true.”
minhee didn’t feel bad about what she said. she was mad at you because she didn’t want to be in home. she wants to explore. you exactly know that she doesn’t want to live the way the whole your family is living. and you also don’t want her to live the same just like you. so sending her to china is the best option. uncle isn’t in mafia and all dirty stuff the rest of the family members do so minhee can be safe there.
your sister didn’t talk with you by the whole week. you didn’t really care because you have so much work to do. kinda proud because you made japanese family to pay you the money they owned to your parents so you were satisfied. everything went fine. things are nice so are you. no worries by the whole time. only thing you are upset about is that your family want to meet. family meeting sounds nice? no. there is going to be other mafia because remember guys - if there is family meeting that means there is going to be make big deals.
jackson with the rest of the boys were standing next to you.
“you look pretty.” mark said looking at you with a smile. “but where is minhee?”
“told her that she has 5 minutes untill i go there.”
“yes sir.”
you smiled. nothing can make your day worse. you are clever person so it turns out that you made a lot of big deals so now you are just swimming in the money to be honest. everything is so fine like never and nothing can upset you. not even this damn dinner with your family and others because you’ll be there with your people.
“minhee please we don’t have time. grandma will be mad.”
“i don’t care. i don’t want to.”
you could only sighed. walking in her bedroom made you feel like teenager again. she was kind of similiar to you but at the same time she was so different. you took her hairbrush and started brushing her hair while looking in to her eyes in the mirror.
“you are so beautiful minhee. can you see it?” she nod. “everyones eyes are going to be on us. especially you because you are younger. behave there honey ok? they won’t like acting up or something. also be ready for all the compliments.” you smiled softly. “plus.. i can’t have eyes on you whole night so be careful. if someone is bothering you..” you lean to her ear “you know what to do.”
she nodded and stand up. ready to go and show off. you are y/n and minhee kim. you are prestige family and nobody can tell otherwise.
the place was huge and expensive. you knew your family like things like that but not that much. without thinking your people with you at the front walked in welcomed by some people who were smilling at you.
“mrs.kim?”
“it’s me.”
“welcome madam. have fun.”
slight smile goes on your lips and disaper quickly. and here you are. all eyes on you and your crew. smile and confident walk by you was really indimidiating. you knew your presence here was cherry on top. your parents died in mysterious conditions and here you are leading kim’s company. isn’t it suss? it is and you know it well but it’s only made you proud. your parents were problematic and were problem not only for you but for the family and co-workers. jelous eyes of wifes and girls were on you. to be honest, you are one of the prettiest and hottest woman there and that’s why you are just eye-catching.
the long table was place where you and minhee should stay. your people found place to themselfs, and when they were gone you noticed that by the table was sitting bosses of others organizations.
“good evening grandma.” you goes to hug her and asked minhee to do so. “i missed you so much.”
“is this my little y/n? sunshine i missed you. how are you?” she was worried. this woman was someone who you wish were your mother. she was the only one who cares about you. your mother or father never told you “i love you” it was your precious grandma who always was making sure to say “i love you” no matter what. “is everything fine?”
“i’m fine. everything is the best. business is going really well. you know.. zeros on bank account are only growing.” you smiled. “what about you? health?”
“i feel like i’m in my 30s.” she was only 70 years old but she felt way younger. “you know even tho your grandpa is pain in ass i’m fine. i’m so happy that now you are leading business.” she smirked. “my son and his -be sorry god- wife were failure. they have never made this much money like you do.”
“grandma thank you. it’s not such a big deal.”
“it is. i’m proud of you. i’m proud that you are leading something to be even bigger.” tear came down my cheek. “and you minhee. what about you?”
“everything is okay i guess.”
“is something bothering you?” everyone were looking at your sister and you knew what she is going to say.
“i feel kinda grounded but it’s okay.”
“what?”
“y/n made me stop attend private school and have home schooling.”
“it’s against your wish?”
“yes.”
you were now kinda mad at your sister. you know well that she said that because she still doesn’t agree with idea of home schooling and china.
“let me make things clear grandma. someone was following her and i love her too much to let someone hurt her. it’s the safest in our home.”
your grandma sighed like everyone else in family.
“minhee you are still too immature and too young to understand things. let your sister work and decide. she is doing everything for your best.” your grandpa said while he was drinking his wine.
“but i have friends there. i have thing i’m interested in school and now i’m going to be grounded.”
you couldn’t listen her anymore what notice your another uncle.
“minhee just let things happen. can we talk about something else? as you can see we have guests by these table.” he looked around.
and that was the time when minhee must leave. you looked at her and she disaper. anothers girls and boys who were teens also disaper leaving the elders and bosses.
“okay so let’s talk.” your grandpa said. “my son is such a dumbass and made debts. also. police was suspecting you to be the one who killed your parents my dear y/n.”
boss of nct, bts and monstax looked at you. you just smiled at them.
“there is no proof. i made sure to done work.” you took your glass of wine. “i’m more pro than my parents was, right? i don’t think someone is crying because of their loss.”
you interested taeyong. he has never seen a person who openly talk about murder. about parents murder. you were that cofident that it makes him like you. he could see clearly that you don’t fuck with others.
“mother will you let her get away with this? he still was your son.”
“will you talk like that if you knew that he signed documents about taking over your wealth? and everyone else?” you took a sip.”seokhyun you are so fuckin dumb. i hope you know why i don’t have respect for you right?” you smirked “you are pain in as..you remind me of some boy who was bothering minhee. you know what did i do with him?” he shook his head no “i shot him in front of his parents eyes. be careful.”
“what else you know?” grandpa took another bottle of wine.
“i know so much that i could easily take over business of everyone here.” you smiled. “father hide money in japan. i guess no one knows why there but it doesn’t matter. i have deal for mr. lee taeyong.”
taeyong smiled over you. he was glad that he is going to make deal with big mrs. kim y/n.
“i listen to you lady.”
“i know your handsome and eye-catching member named yuta nakamoto is japanese and he runs your business there. let’s say i need him. i want your help with finding money in japan.”
“i want 40% from this.”
“you want too much. it’s almost half of the money i would get. it’s not worth it. you are only finding money that are basically belonging to me.”
you weren’t dumb. you knew that it’s way too much.
“what is your proposition?”
“i can give you 20%.”
“deal. i’m glad i’m going to work with you mr. kim.”
“same here mrs.lee i hope you not gonna fail.” he smiled. “i want to also say something. time is ticking mr. seo. and you know what happend.”
lee taeyong stod up and leave to his members table. you looked confused at wife of your cousin jongdae.
“what happend?”
“it’s matter between me and him. please don’t ask questions.”
“okay so i can begin now.” namjoon said slightly annoyed. “what with our collaboration mrs.kim.” he was looking annoyed at your grandma
“i said i don’t know.”
“please.. my boys were working for you. i think we would be giant.”
you were looking at them and thinking. what the fuck. you knew that bts are doing good but you also heard about their debts.
“no. if my lovely grandma said no then it’s no.” you didn’t look at him but at your glass full of wine.”don’t you want collaboration with my grandma and granpa just to pay off your debts and bills?”
everyone was looking at your table because everyone heard it. whole nct were looking at you with shock same with bts and bosses of other mafies were spechless same with shownu.
“aren’t you too mean? it’s none of your business y/n. it’s thing between me and your grandparents.”
“exactly. and i’m not going to look how you want to take their whole wealth. how much money do you need? we can borrow you but you know.” you stand up like namjoon did few seconds ago just to come closer. “deadline is short period of time. and consequences are really big.” you smiled. “ask chan what happend when he was late with money.”
namjoon was standing there embarrased and paralaized. you come at him and he didn’t like it. but you weren’t afraid. you are at too strong position to be moved by little kim namjoon.
“okay. borrow me a three milion dollars and i’m going to return them back.”
“sure. jackson!” you said. “make collab with my grandma but remember that i have eyes all around and i will notice if there is less money than it should be. you have month to pay me back.” jackson give you both piece of paper when you signed it. “sign it.”
“thank you and yes. month and you will have your money back.”
after this everything went smooth. no fights. just paceful event. by the time it was time to dance and you were asked by your cousin jongdae to dance but soon enough you were dancing with lee taeyong.
“i didn’t know you were that mean and that strong.” he said while his hands were on your waist and yours around his neck.
“i don’t like playing games with someone who isn’t worht it.”
“and i like it.” he smirked. “you seem to be good player aren’t you?”
“maybe i am. mr.taeyong why are you even here?” he was confused. “i clearly see that you and your men don’t want to be there.”
“are you watching us?”
“shouldn’t i?”
“i guess you should. it scary talking with girl who killed own parents.”
you could only smile. you aren’t afraid of anything and no one will make you feel regret. your parents deserved this and if you wouldn’t kill them they would ruin your life and your family lifes. and y’all don’t deserve this at all. your parents were selfish since you’ve been child. when there was no minhee your only friend was maid and chef. they were talking with you and play with you and your toys just to not feel alone. beside of them you had your grandparents. your grandma loved you like you were her daughter. she always made sure to say “i love you” and to check on you. and your grandpa? he would be proud and happy to walk you to your kindergarten and take care of you along with your grandma. and your parents? they didn’t care. they just thougth about money. more money and even more money. your mother was mean if she had to stay with you. she would just left you in your bedroom with toys and goes to her friend or to watch tv. and father? he didn’t even talk with you. he started to talk when he wanted you to be part of mafia.
he taught you everything you need to know. and because of their lack of love and your knowledge of things you shouldn’t know about you are like this today. cold and emotionless. no one really show your love (not including your grandparents). kids at shool were afraid of you becasue they knew who you were and their parents didn’t allow them to play with you. in high school they didn’t want to be in touch with girl whose family is gangsters and who could kill anyone they want. you even hadn’t any best friend. no one.
“it’s not scary. they deserved this.” you were closer. “sometimes you need to get rid of your enemies and i’m sure they were one.”
“am i your enemy?”
“if you will help me you’ll be my friend.”
since then you haven’t talked with family members. you didn’t need to. also minhee was more distant than usually. you even noticed that she is leaving and coming back late at night. you just had hope that she isn’t causing any problems. but when she was gone for two days and came back like nothing happend it makes you feel mad. mark and youngjae were nice enough to follow her around and found out that she is dating someone. minhee was dating and you didn’t even know. also, it seems like they know each other really well and are together since the very long time.
you were fine with it. she is 18. she can date anyone. you didn’t even care about this that she doesn’t tell you but it’s okay. it’s hers life after all. but when she were gone for a week and she doesn’t contact with you.. boy, you were really mad. minhee just disapear and have no signs of live.
“y/n you need to calm down. she for sure is fine.” mark said “she is teenager, something like this happens.”
“but i do so much for her, why she is like this?” bambam was looking at you with sad eyes. he knew he shouldn’t feel this way but he hates your sister and seeing you hurt was really.. bad feeling. he knew how much effort you put to raise her well and take good care of. “i don’t understand. she just could told me that she want to go somewhere or something. i’m sick of it.”
“y/n.. we got it. i think she could leave with her boyfriend. yugyeom is checking him.” jackson hugged you tightly. “she is fine. minhee is strong.”
“and naive. she doesn’t even know how to defend herself what if he is going to hurt her?”
“maybe no? we don’t know.”
when you were sitting in your office you didn’t know back then that person who is lover of your sister is who he is. reading his info was really surprising to you. it was unbeliveble. member of nct.
sound of your heels could be hear in headquarter of nct. your usually outfit on you - dark coat and black boots above your knees. people called you black orphan because of the fact that you are orphan basically and because you only dressed in black.
members of nct who noticced you were whispering something about black orphan being here. you were walking slowly don’t even bother to look at them. you had goal - find minhee. jackson and rest of the boys were behind you and were in the line. like always.
“excuse me, what are you doing here?” man named mark was in front of you. “i don’t remember that you were invited.”
“i don’t need invitation.” you growled. “better find kim minhee and park jisung.”
face of mark knew that is going to happen and why are you here. taeyong and rest of the members of nct couldn’t belive that jisung is letting his girlfriend stay in their place. taeyong was against and mad because he found out by accident when he was checking bathroom and minhee was going to bathroom. he almost killed her.
when mark was about to go your sister and her s/o were near. minhee was looking at you surprised. she knew you could find her but didn’t think that you would come to nct.
“i count to 10 and we coming home.”
“i’m not leaving.” she hissed. “i’m sick of being under your control.”
“what is this noise here?” taeyong appeard in his hallway. the crowd of his people were looking around whole argument.
“you living with my money that i worked for. i pay your bills and all. i’m doing everything for you to have amazing life. why don’t you understand that you will never be normal girl? you will never. you will always be “daughter of mafia” or “sister who hate her parents”. you should accept this.”
“that’s why i fuckin hate you!” she scream. “i don’t want your help. you think you did everything well. i want to throw up everytime i reminds to myself what you are doing. i don’t want to be part of this also i don’t want to live in china. i want to decide.”
you laughed like freak. you were looking at your little sister and couldn’t think of anything but how stupid she actually is.
“i’m not asking you.” you hissed. “you are ungretful, spoiled brat who thinks that owns the world and is main charcater, don’t you? if you want to be that independent okay. i’m going to block all back acounts from you. from now on you will work your ass off for money. i’m starting counting and you better come here.” you looked in to her eyes. “1..2..3..”
“you aren’t my mother. my mother is dead! understand this!”
jaehyun was about to say something but taeyong stopped him. he was enjoying the show in front of him. he really loves how crazy you actually are.
“i’m staying with jisung. i won’t come back to home.”
“you are making disrace for our surname. don’t act like fool and come to home. i’m at 7.”
minhee didn’t even flinch.
“i’m not scared of you. after all i’m your family.”
“are you sure honey?” you touched her cheek. “do you know how killed your lovely parents?” she denied. “i did. funni isn’t it? everyone know but not their own daughter. i think you should be scared of me at that point.”
minhee couldn’t belive her ears. you killed your parents. she was living with you not knowing about everything.
“you are crazy bitch! i hate you! i hate this family! one day i’ll make sure that police or media destroy you.”
“good luck.” you winked and slapped her. “you are no longer part of kims family. i don’t need you. you were the one that needed me.” you said harshly stepping closer and touched her chest to push her. “you are no one know. there is no coming back. you are done in my eyes. dead. and if i see you in my way i’m going to kill your love and then you. and guess what? nothing will bother to help find justice.” you shrugged and smiled one last time “you are free. make sure to change surname and to make it like we have never been family.”
minhee was holidng her cheek and crying. at this point she knew that she doesn’t really know her own family. that there is secrets that are creepy and scary just like them. and she was sure she doesn’t want to involved. but now she was feeling bad because of what she said. jisung had tried hundred times explain her who you are. that she is doing it for her safety because thousands of people wants her head and she still didn’t listen.
 taeyong was following you.
“are you going to stop going after me or you want me to beat you up?”
“don’t need to be so harsh. i just want to ask you something.” he smiled. “have you ever been in love?”
“the fuck mr. lee? i only met you few times and i talk with you for the second time.”
“just answer me y/n.” his eyes was shining and you liked this view. you liked him to be honest. he did awesome work by finding your fathers money. he was loyal to you and you liked it. also he was handsome. why don’t like him?
“no. i have never been in love. having crush in daughter of mafia doesn’t sound nice right?”
“i don’t belive. you are way too pretty and too smart to be alone the whole time.” you smiled. he was cheesy but you liked it. “i think this can change.”
“do you want to seduce me?” you asked with little smile. “make me feel like i’m special and leave next day?”
“who said i would leave?” he smirked. “you are really something y/n.”
“i think we could talk about it.”
and here you are. taeyong brings happines to your live. you have never experinced things like the one you do with taeyong. you are no longer alone. you wake up usually in his bed with his eyse piercing in to your soul. jackson and boys were happy that someone is interested in you and you are intrested in someone. they have never seen you having crush in male. but here you are. all over heels over lee taeyong. you didn’t like the idea of him having you wrapped around his finger but who cares? you like it.
“y/n what are you thinking about?”
“taeyong would you kill for me?”
“isn’t it obvious? i know you can do it by yourself but i would always kill anyone who is messing with my girl.”
“since when i’m your girl?”
“since the first time i’ve heard of you y/n.” he kissed you. “why you asking?”
“i feel like i spend way too much time with you so i need to make sure that you are worth it.”
“are you doubting me?” he touch your cheeks. “look at us. we are in my apartment in japan with beautiful view on sea. we are here alone having the best sex of our lives. having each other and telling silly secrets.” he hugged you and you lay your head on his chest. “we don’t need to stress about business. we have each other now. it’s feels like heaven.”
“we are in japan. we are looking at the sea.” you smiled softly. “it’s almost like dream.”
“i know you have never thing like this. i want to show you life colors you know?” he smiled. “i want you to be happy. i want to see that you enjoy your time and let someone like you more than friend.”
“you just saying that.” you sighed. “you are going to leave soon like everyone in my life. but it’s okay.”
“you will never get rid of me.” he looked deadly in to your eyes. “past six months was like arcadia with you by my side. i feel like i can love you and i know that no one ever loved you the way i do.” he smiled. “but i’m here. i love you.”
“what?”
“you heard me and i’m not going to say this again.”
“lee taeyong you make me feel needed.”
he was messing so much with your head and you didn’t even mind. he was there. he was with you and makes you forget about any problems. about stress. about work. time with him is smooth. and you love it.
“can we make love this time? not fuck? i want to feel your love even if it’s temporary.” you said with eyes closed while you kissed him
taeyong smiled wide. he loved the idea of making love and not just fuck.
“my girl is soft.” he teased. “i want to do it. love.”
“i hate you so much sometimes.” you rolled your eyes. “i’m not going to ask anymore. it’s just this once.”
“alright. i got it.”
you were sure that taeyong will disapear. you can’t show feeling but taeyong.. he show you love. he was there. you didn’t even know when you started to finding yourself making breakfasts for him. hugging him for every 5 minutes. telling him your dreams. listen to him and advice him. making him happy. it comes to you naturally just by watching his moves to you. it was so soft and so new to you. proudness. it what’s you feel. you could love taeyong. you didn’t even love your parents nor sister. it was more like obligation. but with taeyong? you realized your feeling when you were missing him and your mind just focus on him.
you wanted to be best girlfriend to him. one time he even just put gun in your mouth and say to suck it if you love him just to then have you moaning “love yous”. and you did. not thinking twice. at this moment you both knew that it’s simply love between dificult people.
taeyong was deep in you. you could feel him hitting right spots.
“how’s my kitten feeling?”
“good. good sir.” you moaned. “i feel like i’m close.” you whines
“i love view of you. you are perfect for me even your pussy is made for me.” he moeaned. “look at you under me. lovely.”
“stop talking and just make me cum.”
“marry me.”
you were that confused. you were at edge of orgasm and he is telling you this.
“taeyong why are you saying this when we fuck?”
“why not? will you marry me?” he punted deeper and faster. “i would love to see you with my surname. lee y/n.” he smiled giving you hickeys “all by myself. my wife.”
“you got to be kidding me.” you laughed “we are having sex and you asking me about mar-”
you couldn’t end your sentence because taeyong circled your clit and suddenly wave of pleasure hit you like ddu du and you cum. moaning his name and curling.
“answer kitten.”
“yes. i want to fuckin marry you lee dumbass taeyong.”

I had so many ideas on what to write about today but I was scrolling through the Obi-Wan tag during my break and I came across a huge post that had been baffled and a bit crazed. It was labeled about forgiveness and mercy and such but it was like a huge insanely interpreted post about the Jedi Order and some of the characters. Of course I wasn't about to start any sort of argument (and wow was the post long) but I just had to write something, at least, in my own post, unconnected with theirs. I guess this is a reaction and buckle up cause it seems like this is going to be a long one. I have a lot to say and I'm not gonna stop being all anxious about it until I do but uh....
I'm sorry, did we watch the same movies?
They go through a lot of movies and completely do a opposite take on the Jedi; how they are "unattached" (I say this because there are so many misconceptions about the word) and celibate (which we know isn't actually true) and how Anakin becomes living proof why this attitude is wrong.
First of all, it's not an attitude; it is a way of life. One that has worked for thousands of people over millennia. Second; their point WAS proven. Anakin turned to the dark side and became a sith. He committed genocide after genocide (the Jedi, Mandalore, Alderaan, Lasan etc.) and in the end, he only turned back because of his son. Which, may seem good on the surface, but it only goes to show how no other children or people that he murdered actually mattered, it was only his blood child that did. But that's not where I'm going. You don't actually see him regret doing the countless things he has done (probably because he dies) and he only does this because of his blood son. It, for me, gives the impression that blood means everything.
Anyways, there is quite a bit of talk about Obi-Wan and honestly? It is all not good. I'm not blind to Obi-Wan's faults but in general? He is a really good person; he tries so hard and goes through so much and is ugh, always trying. Obi-Wan shows no understanding? What? What? Did we watch the same movie? I mean it has been a while since I have watched Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith (they hurt my heart because ugh) but that is NOT what I remember. I remember Obi-Wan teasing Anakin gently to get his mind off of his anxieties when they were going to see Padme again. I remember Obi-Wan saying "dude don't be a horny teenager" (not in those words obviously, but that was essentially the message). I remember him literally parenting and teaching him - like he's supposed to do. I remember him trusting Anakin to do the right thing and to protect the Senator alone, by himself. I remember Anakin saying he's been having dreams - not visions or anything and nothing specific, just about his mom - and Obi-Wan going "it's alright dude, those pass in time". I mean everyone has DREAMS, that's not beholden to force-sensitives. My dreams sure as heck don't mean anything. Just cause he is a Jedi and COULD have visions, does not mean they are. And he didn't tell Obi-Wan they were visions, he literally says dreams.
(this is about the time that I wish I could work with gifs and understand them)
Anakin is not stronger than Obi-Wan; I mean, really? Sure, more powerful? I guess? But let's go back. Who beats who on Mustafar? Obi-Wan. Who does NOT murder a bunch of children and turn to the dark side? Obi-Wan. Literally, sure, he's more "powerful" with the Force, because I guess that is the whole point but he's not stronger or wiser than Obi-Wan because as Captain Rex said "experience outranks everything" and man, does Obi-Wan have a lot of that.
Let's take a break and go to Shmi. They claim that her death is a dark page in the Jedi's book. I mean, w-what? How can you possibly blame the Jedi for Shmi's death? For not freeing her? Did Qui-Gon even tell the Council that Anakin was a slave? I don't remember, honestly. But still, she ended up freed and married to a man she fell in love with. And if I remember correctly, someone was sent (by Padme maybe? to free her but she was already gone to the Lars' by that point).
Okay, I know it sounds like I am reacting to a post and well I am I suppose. But like, this post is literally blaming the Jedi for Shmi's death and how they did not offer Anakin compassion. And then just to say that it is bothersome how Anakin was solely blamed. Uh, because he was a the perpetrator! How can you possibly justify the MURDER of children. Even though it not the Jedi way, I could understand, sort of, if he went after the people that hurt his mother specifically; probably some of the men/warriors/adults. But the babies? The children? You can literally not justify that. And to blame the Jedi Order and Obi-Wan for not "taking his nightmares seriously?" Are you serious? Anakin mentioned the dream (DREAM) once in passing, there is no indication that he said that she was in danger or that this was a vision. And visions are known to be notoriously unreliable! Not to mention, the Council is responsible for the Jedi as a whole - that is thousands of people.
Alright, now to the war.
There was a claim that throughout the war, the Jedi became more and more aloof, intolerant and unforgiving and determined to win despite the suffering of the people.
What. The. Krutack.
I will include the Clone Wars series, since it was directly referenced in response. Once again, did we watch the same show? Because I'm pretty sure that virtually the whole point of the show, aside from showing us horrible things the CIS did and the individuality of the clones, was the compassion and kindness of the Jedi. How they fought to protect as many people as they could. They were dying alongside the clones. Does anyone remember how kind and caring the Jedi were when they came across civilians. Do you remember how Obi-Wan literally carried and protected with his own body the little Twielek girl, Numa, on Ryloth? Does anyone remember how many NON-Republic planets they helped? I remember them helping even CIS senators and planets that had no ties to the Republic. They helped Mandalore even when they were not part of the Republic. The vast majority of Jedi are shown protecting not only citizens but the clones as well. They are on the front lines - not hidden behind a desk (although some are and that is necessary - tactics and strategy people) and trying to save as many lives as they can, even if it costs them. They inspire creativity and individuality in the clones - this is literally a thing. I could go on and on and on.
Okay, on to Revenge of the Sith - the sadness that will probably haunt my heart forever. We will start with Dooku; specifically when Palpatine tells Anakin to kill him and that he deserves it; it is revenge for cutting off his and whatever. And this, this, post asks if this is an act of mercy for the guy kneeling in front of him (and tells him Obi-Wan later denies him) and like, what? How in the world is that mercy? He murders a defenseless man. Sure, he is the enemy and he is a criminal but he is supposed to stand trial (not to mention all the intelligence Dooku could possible give to help win the war) which is incredibly ironic, considering later, Anakin screams at Mace Windu telling him Palpatine should stand trial (even though he is much more dangerous and more of a threat than Dooku). This is not mercy. This is a handless, defenseless (although evil) man who Anakin does actually kill. It is not mercy.
Anakin has dreams about Padme; similar to his mother. You would think he would have learned his lesson and confided in someone by telling them what was actually happening. Anakin once again, DOES NOT give Yoda any specifics, just that he fears someone he is close to will die. It is claimed that he is lacking empathy and compassion to Anakin's dilemma. WHAT DILEMMA? Anakin won't tell anyone anything that could actually help. What Yoda says is true; like "dude, people die and you have to move on from that. You cannot stop death and you cannot let this fear control you. You have to let go" which is a completely reasonable thing; I mean, hello - grief counseling anyone? Yoda probably thought he was talking about Obi-Wan - who was off on a very dangerous mission against a cyborg that had killed many Jedi and padawans; this seems like a very normal fear. Whether or not Yoda says this in the right way is not really relevant; Anakin knows that he has to let go of what he fears to lose because eventually, no matter what, he will lose it. NOTHING is permanent. Now if Anakin had specified he was having what he thought were visions and the actual person in them, I'm sure Yoda would have said things differently and probably helped him.
(Also, did Padme get any real health care or like??? Was it too much of a secret???)
(The genocide of the people in the Temple is conveniently glossed through with bare mention)
and then Mustafar. Contrary to Padme (apparently) Obi-Wan shows no clemency. ANAKIN MURDERED THE ELDERLY, THE SICK/INJURED AND BABIES in the temple. Not warriors, not even full grown men and women (some would be full grown but all the able bodied were probably out in the war trying to defend the universe). He should NOT be granted clemency. Anyone else would probably have been executed for this direct horrifying act. But they seem to gloss over how Obi-Wan is always on the defensive, not really because Anakin is more overpowering (And Obi-Wan does use a defensive style, Soresu) but because he is trying to give Anakin time to chill out and come to his senses. That is literally how the choreography was designed.
And Obi-Wan's last words were? Harsh? What? If I remember correctly, Obi-Wan says something like "You were supposed to destroy the Sith not join them" and when Anakin screams he hates Obi-Wan, the return is "you were my brother, Anakin, I loved you."
That is heart-breaking and sad, not harsh. How can you look at Obi-Wan's face in this scene and call that harsh? How can your heart not break for him?!
Say what you will about Obi-Wan leaving Anakin without "finishing him off". Whether or not this is a mercy, whatever. First, we needed a reason for Vader to be in the suit. Second, Anakin was unarmed; Obi-Wan doesn't go around killing unarmed enemies, much less loved ones. (Hello, the slaver from the series, anyone? He didn't kill him; it is against his beliefs. Rex killed him). Can you even imagine how Obi-Wan was feeling? How could he possibly kill his brother? Like, I have so many feelings and not enough words ahdkjgkjgjkf. Anakin does suffer and Obi-Wan has no reason to believe that Anakin would survive his injuries. Furthermore, if I remember correctly, Palpatine ship was coming? Also, Obi-Wan had to get to Padme - she was injured and more of a priority. Because she is someone he can try to save - Anakin is long gone - in more ways than one.
Although it claimed that they are not denying the terrible things Anakin has done; that is almost kind of what they are doing. They are literally putting Anakin's choices and agency to the fault of the Jedi - not just individuals but the culture and people. It is literally gone on to say that if he had left with his wife, the worst could have been avoided. What was the worst?
Oh, a mass murderer got his legs cut off and accidently burned alive. Uhm, okay, that sucks but you do realize he committed genocide of his entire family right? And he choked his wife into unconsciousness.
I can't even with humans.
There is not even a note to Palpatine and how he manipulated Anakin for years. No blame at all on the man we need to blame the most - they put all the blame on the Jedi which just. Blows my mind.
The Clone Wars proved there was no right choice for the Jedi - they were doomed to fall. Not because of anything they did - they did everything they could - but because of Palpatine's plans and schemes. I will never, ever agree that the Jedi failed because of themselves. I do not think that the "institution" was destined to fall ( that "institution" lasted for longer than the Republic). The Jedi were trying so hard - they were kind and good and compassionate and trying so hard for peace and saving as many lives as they could. The Sith were evil. The CIS was evil. The Senate was corrupt. And the Jedi were trying.
There is so much Jedi-blaming for Anakin's attitude, disposition and choices it is literally driving me insane. Why did I do this to myself?
Things delve into a New Hope and immediately there is bashing of the jedi; where Obi-Wan cuts some guy's arm off at a Cantina and Obi- Wan "lying" that Vader killed Anakin. Which, honestly, I could see that being true. Him being Anakin's murderer, at least. Vader may have Anakin's body but even he claims that he killed Anakin Skywalker. Anakin, at least, how he thought he was, was loyal and passionate and loving - or at least he tried to be. Vader is literally none of these things; there is very little of "Anakin" in Vader. And at first glance, it may seem that Obi-Wan and Yoda are setting Luke up to kill "his father" but honestly, I see it more as preparing him to fight Vader and kill him, if necessary. It's a horrible thing, but they do not outright say anything. And honestly, they were right. Vader is willing to kill Luke - he cuts off his hand and fights him. Okay, I have so much to say about this but that is for another time; i will digress about this particular point (of lying and such)
Luke, apparently, decides to forgive Vader and show him mercy (which is claimed the Jedi and Obi-Wan NEVER did for Anakin, no matter what he did for them which is such BS I'm virtually crying rn)
There is a lengthy talk about Luke trying to rebuild the Jedi culture and how it crushed him, his contrast with Obi-Wan's attitude and shame(?) and how trying to be a Jedi has caused him to fail. Because apparently Luke is the only one who apologized and that makes him different I guess? (How many times has Obi-Wan apologized and thought things were his fault even though they weren't?)
I won't get into the Sequel Trilogy because honestly, it does very little to interest me. I am mostly a Prequel- era person mostly because I love Obi-Wan and the strength and compassion of his character. Finn seemed really interesting to me and man I thought having a female Jedi character would be really great - we had some fantastic female Jedi such as Ahsoka, Shaak Tii, Depa Billaba and so many more - but they were rarely the focus and I thought it would be fun. But, I was a bit disappointed because killing off Han Solo the way they did? Eh. Didn't care for it. I was also in the era of Mara Jade, Jacen and Jaina Solo, Anakin Solo and Ben Skywalker (Luke's son) so perhaps I was a little bias. I didn't really understand why Leia and Han would name their child after someone that they didn't really know (although I do have a headcanon concerning Leia and Obi-Wan which I find hilarious that I love).
I didn't particularly care for the Sequel Trilogy. They made it a Skywalker show and they did an emphasis on romantic love and from what I recall from what I have watched, the majority of the characters weren't nearly as interesting or compelling to me. And then bringing Palpatine back, sighs. Why does it always come back to him? That is just exhausting.
I'm not hating on the Sequels; everyone is allowed to like things or whatever. I just didn't; they focused so much on Rey and Kylo Ren (who I actually have a bit of an opinion on but I won't right now) instead of the more intriguing characters. I would have been much more interested in Finn as a Jedi. To overcome what he has been through as a stormtrooper and becoming a Jedi would be a really interesting story. I didn't care for how they handled Luke. And I didn't like how Rey apparently became a master so fast without any real training? Even Anakin, the Chosen One, the most powerful force-wielder, had ten years of training under Obi-Wan and the Jedi. That stuff doesn't just...come; you learn it.
I wrote more about the Sequel Trilogy than I care too. I suppose this is a rather reaction post but wow; I felt like me and this person had watched two separate movie trilogy/shows. It boggles my mind on how people can get the opposite of something that was so clearly shown. I hope I didn't upset anyone too bad. I'm not hear to start a fight, just to get out some feelings.
I wrote this all instead of homework that I desperately need to do. Sighs.
I need to go through my likes and read some good Jedi content cause man, that, that was hard.

Chapter One: Dumbledore's Mission.
"A galleon says Erick will crash the car —"
"Shut up!"
"Don't make him nervous," Emily scolded Harry. "If you continue this I won't teach you how to drive!"
"We don't need to learn," Mel snorted. "We'll apparate everywhere..."
"I thought you hated it," Her mother raised a brow.
"Yeah, but she's lazy," Harry smirked.
"Why is Harry here? He's not allowed to leave the house, is he?" Mel frowned.
"He's not allowed to be alone outside, there's a difference. We're babysitting two infants, unfortunately..." Erick taunted.
"What's the matter, Flint? You have stage-fright?" Harry replied.
"Oh please, he feeds on attention! Like a dementor but in a more annoying way..."
"Enough!" Emily looked over her seat. "Is that the kind of things you want to teach your brother?"
"I doubt he'll remember any of this!"
"We know he can do it, Em, we're just teasing," Harry said blithely.
"Yeah, he's the only adult here apart from you, mum. It's kind of his obligation to be good at driving."
The baby let out a squeal of agreement, he was three weeks old but had a good set of lungs that he was happy to use at any given time, especially while everyone was sleeping.
Harry leaned and checked that the baby's blankets. Mel beamed at the sight, the boy had pretty much adopted the boy as his own brother, which she thought made a lot of sense, not only because it was Sirius' son, but because he'd been part of her family for so long that anything else would've been silly.
They were well aware that bringing little Regulus to their driving lessons was a bit risky, but Emily wasn't as keen to leave Mel and Harry alone in the house as she used to, so she put a few safety spells on the chair once the baby was seated while Harry and Mel sat on both sides of it.
Erick turned out to be a good driver, but he still had a bit of trouble understanding how cars worked.
"I have to be pulling and pushing stuff all the time!" He complained as he activated the windshield on accident for the third time. "Why can't I just turn the key and press the pedal?"
"Cars don't work like that," Emily said patiently. "It's complicated, but you're good!"
"He's only gone up and down the street for half an hour, Leggie fell asleep already," The girl huffed.
Emily looked over the seat once again, she was frowning. "Erick, switch seats with Mel."
"You're joking... right?"
"Erick," The woman repeated.
"On it," He said happily. "C'mon Mel, are you scared?"
Ten minutes later, Erick was in the backseat and she was tightly holding onto the wheel.
"I'm doing it!" She said. "Is not that hard, is it?"
"A slug could move faster," Harry was looking at the roof of the car and dying of heat. "I thought you were going to be more... the reckless type of driver."
"Me too..." Erick agreed lazily, he was playing with one of Reggie's feet.
"I'm not going faster, my brother's in the car!" Mel scoffed.
"We're not asking you to! Just enough so we can feel like we're actually moving!"
"Bringing you three was a bad idea," Emily said over the boys' laughter.
"Fine!" Mel pressed down the pedal, the car immediately gaining speed. "I'm was just being careful!"
"Which makes me proud," Emily softly patted her shoulder. "It feels like it was yesterday when you were running around Remus' house in nothing but a diaper and now you're driving!"
"The other night I ran into her wearing no pants, so she's hasn't changed really," Erick murmured nonchalantly. "I stepped on Grey's tail thanks to that... maybe that's why he hates me so much."
"What?" Harry's head snapped to the side so fast he hurt himself.
"I forgot you live here now! Sometimes I sleep like that, s'not a crime!" She looked at Harry through the rearview mirror. "I've been an only child for sixteen years, sometimes I forget there are more than two people in my house..."
"I'm surprised her scream didn't wake up Leon," Erick sniggered.
"He's a heavy sleeper like his dad," Emily responded distractedly.
The conversation died instantly. It wasn't the woman's intention, of course, but it'd been only a few weeks since Sirius' passing, sometimes they would forget for a moment, just a brief second, then one of them would talk about Sirius and everything would start again...
It was painful, and it was weird. Mel had never endured something like this with anyone except Harry. Having a larger group of people sharing the same pain was strangely comforting.
Mel cleared her throat. "It's Harry's turn..."
"I'm okay," He said quickly. "I can learn another day..."
"Glasses, you and I have a tradition of experiencing things at the same time," The girl stopped the car and turned to look at him. "You're not going to ruin our streak. Besides, I need to know if I'm better than you."
Harry stared at her in amusement, then he looked at Erick.
"Is it fun, having her bossing you around all day?"
"I boss her around too," Erick smirked.
"They take turns," Her mother sighed.
"I'm sorry to hear that," Harry gave the woman a look of sympathy as he stepped out of the car.
"There are worse things than being stuck with two pushy teenagers..."
"Hey!"
"Sorry," Emily smirked. "A pushy teenager and a pushy adult."
"If it annoys you that much I'll move out," Mel offered humorously. "What d'you say, Prince? Should we try our luck outside our comfort zone?"
"You wouldn't last a day," Erick taunted.
"Fiddlesticks," Mel muttered, to which Harry laughed.
Tumblr media
It was around three in the morning when someone knocked on her door. She'd been awake for a while now, so she stood up and opened it.
"Hi," She rubbed her eyes. "What's up?"
"Can't sleep," Erick mumbled. "Care if I stay a moment?"
"Go ahead..."
She went back to bed, Erick sat at the edge and stared at her for a moment. Grey let out a sleepy growl, curling further away from his reach. Erick pulled out his pocket watch, now hanging from a chain he'd found in Regulus Black's room back in Grimmauld Place. The reason why he'd taken it was unknown to Mel.
"What's up?" She mumbled, suppressing a yawn.
"I'm thinking."
"About?"
"How lucky I am."
Mel let out a puff of air without replying. He would do this often, say he was lucky to be there, that she'd saved his life... She just wanted him to shut up.
"I really don't want to punch you, Prince, I'd ruin your pretty nose."
He smiled, unbothered.
"You know, a few years ago you would've been pleased to hear me say that, you ungrateful git."
"Yeah well, a few years ago my biggest dream was to become a princess," She joked. "So you see my priorities were a bit messed up..."
"You'd make a cute princess."
"C'mon —"
"I mean it."
"Erick," Mel said in a tone of warning. "Stop."
He'd been acting like that for a whole week: flirting when no one was around, complimenting her... Mel had closed up so tightly around herself that she was barely capable of saying I love you to her mum. Erick had lived deprived of affection his whole life and was just getting out of that environment. At what point had she become the cold, distant one, and he the ray of sunshine?
She knew right away what he was trying to do, but she was so numb... Mel cared about him, but she was not there yet.
Erick leaned on the wall and tilted his head a bit so he could look at her.
"I'm sorry."
"Why?" She replied. "It's not your fault... I just — I need time."
He nodded shortly.
"We can talk later?"
He was wonderful, but she was in the middle of all that was wrong in their world, right next to Harry and the lifeline that she still hadn't decided whether she wanted to keep or not.
"We should go to bed," She murmured, still unable to make any real decisions for herself.
"Yeah," He stood up, carefully putting the blankets back in place and dropping them all over Grey on purpose. He put the watch back in his pocket as well. "Sweet dreams, Mely."

The Ministry of Magic
PROTECTING YOUR HOME AND FAMILY AGAINST DARK FORCES
The Wizarding community is currently under threat from an organization calling itself the Death Eaters. Observing the following simple security guidelines will help protect you, your family, and your home from attack.
"I have a better way to protect our house," Erick groaned, he was gently rubbing his temples. "Let Leon cry the whole night and not even Voldemort will try to enter... I myself am starting to consider living on the street just to get away from the noise."
"S'not that bad," She answered, the dark circles under her eyes giving her away. "It's hard to get used to being a human, you know?"
"Look at this," Emily unfolded the newspaper. "'Scrimgeour succeeds Fudge' — Well, haven't met him yet but I hope he's got a bit of brain, Tonks told me a few months back that he's certainly a bit brisker..."
The doorbell rang and Mel left to open the door.
The routine at that point was established even if it had been only two weeks since their arrival; Erick got used to life at Privet Drive quite easily, he spent two whole days examining every corner of the kitchen, and when Mel showed him what a movie was, he wasted a whole day in the drawing-room watching the movie adaptations of the books she'd lent to him.
Harry would go daily to check on"Reg". Once he'd stayed the night but refused to sleep in Mel's room, not that she'd tried to convince him otherwise.
"Goodmorning," She opened the door without paying attention, "you're a bit late for breakfast but I'll let it pass as soon as you —"
She stopped talking at the sight of her great-uncle, Dumbledore smiled at her and walked in.
"I can't stay for breakfast, but I dare say I regret it deeply."
"Professor... I — Is everything okay?"
"Certainly."
"To what do we owe the pleasure?"
Mel turned to see her mother standing near the stairs, gazing at Dumbledore coldly.
"Emily," Dumbledore said. "Good morning... I'm here to speak with Mr Flint."
"Is he in trouble?"
"Quite the contrary, I believe he's never been better."
"Professor," Erick's posture changed when he walked into the room, suddenly he looked more like a young man and less like a boy. "What can I do for you?"
"I have a mission for you... Mel as well, but only if she wishes to go."
"She's not of age," The woman replied quickly.
Mel was ready to accept whatever it was he wanted her to do, she needed to feel like she was doing something. Although she wasn't exactly happy to see him so soon after the end of their last term.
"As I said, only if she wishes to come. I assure you she'd be safe."
The girl looked at her mother and then at the men standing in front of her.
"Can I hear what this is about first?"
Emily crossed her arms without uttering a word, her uncle signalled towards the couch.
"A word, then?"
Erick nodded, making a beeline to the closest armchair. Emily turned to leave, but Dumbledore spoke again.
"You can stay."
The woman shared a look with her daughter, Mel couldn't hide her eagerness to hear what the old man had to say.
"I won't sit there and watch history repeat itself," Emily sighed.
The woman left before Mel could say anything. She would talk to her later, but first, she needed to talk to Dumbledore.
"I beg you not to interrupt me while I speak."
Both pupils silently agreed to his petition.
"Now, I find myself in need of a new Professor, but the man I'd been contemplating for the job has been on the run for almost a year — He's not guilty of any crimes," He added, noticing the way their faces grew worried. "He's just afraid like everyone else... I need you to track him down and point me to where he is so I can have a word with him."
"I'll do it," Erick responded instantly.
"Alone?" Mel frowned.
Dumbledore stared at her for a second too long.
"If I remember correctly today is your sixteenth birthday, isn't it?"
"Yes."
"Mr Flint turned seventeen in January — You may know that's considered to be the start of our adulthood."
"Yes."
"Erick is allowed to do magic outside school... But you still have a year left."
"I don't see  —"
"You have Matthew's spirit when it comes to saving a friend, Mel. When you were eleven you left this house with Hagrid so you could look for Harry yourself... The time has come for me to finally be honest with you."
"What do you mean 'finally'?" The words were burning a hole in her brain. "You mean all the things you told me when I was in your office last month... that wasn't it?"
Erick stared at them with polite interest, even though she knew he was dying to ask. Mel hadn't told him a thing about that night out of respect for Harry's privacy.
"That was all I had to tell you regarding the Harry," Dumbledore replied. "There are plenty of things I haven't said, and I wish to talk about them with you."
"And if I agree to go with Erick on this mission... you'll tell me?" Mel raised a brow.
"I'll tell you whether you help me with this or not, but I believe there's nothing else I can teach you, Mel. All that's left for you is to start putting your knowledge to use; I recommend you to go on this mission."
"What about my animagus lessons?"
"Ah, yes," Dumbledore smiled. "I'll help you with that, but that'll be it. You've concluded your lessons with the highest marks, dear girl."
She would've been elated hadn't been because of the strange way her uncle was acting.
"Aren't you happy?" Erick nudged her arm gently. "You've worked hard for years, you should be proud!"
"I am proud," Mel replied shortly. "And I'd love to help, but I can't leave my family, it's not safe."
"They'd go to the burrow if you leave."
"What about Harry?"
"He'll go to the burrow too, but I have a few matters to attend with his family first."
"If Mel wants to stay that's alright, I can go on my own —"
"You can't."
Erick looked at her irritated.
"It's not like you can do magic outside school."
"It takes more than magic to survive out there — You don't know how to blend in with the muggles, do you?"
"You can discuss this throughout the day," Dumbledore grabbed a letter from his pocket. "In this, you'll find all about Horace Slughorn's last known whereabouts and a picture so you can identify him. If you do, don't approach, he'll know you're following him. As soon as you find him come back to Privet Drive and write to me."
"This is all just in case we decide to go, right?"
"I'm going," Erick scowled at her.
"We'll talk about this after dinner," She glared back.
Dumbledore stood up and they followed, Emily was at the entrance ready to let him out.
"I'll wait for your response, then," Her uncle stared at her for a moment. "You and Harry..."
"We haven't decided," She was quick to reply. "We need time."
"Very well."
Tumblr media
"You're quiet."
"I have a lot to think about."
Her day had been slightly ruined by her great-uncle's visit. Although Lupin had been there for a couple of hours and stayed for dinner. Mel and Erick talked about the mission and she'd promised to tell Harry after the party was over, which was now.
The Slytherin was upstairs taking a shower and Emily was putting Reggie to bed. Mel and Harry were sitting on the grass, watching the stars above them. She'd fallen into contemplative silence, pondering what to do. She could go chase some stranger for Dumbledore's benefit, or she could stay and look after her family.
"This would be much easier if my mum had asked me to stay!" She pouted.
"I reckon she knows that," Harry responded, throwing small rocks over the fence.
"Won't you?"
"Hmm?"
"You won't ask me to stay?"
Harry stared at her.
"No."
He didn't explain his reasons, but he didn't need to. Mel had made up her mind even if she didn't want to admit it. That was exactly why she was so upset, she wanted to look after her family, but her responsibilities were keeping her apart. Three years of hard work had led to this, and although Mel was a big sister now, winning the war was more important than changing diapers.
Her mother was a whole different problem too. Around them she was always cheery, but Mel was sure she'd heard her cry when none of the boys was around to hear.
She believed it was about Sirius, but it could also be about her and Harry, that she was scared for them. Mel didn't have the heart to lie if her mother were to ask about the prophecy. It was, as they had agreed without even having to speak about it, too much weight to put on their loved one's shoulders. The idea of Emily, the closest thing to a mother Harry ever had, finding out there was a big chance one of them would die after having lost Sirius in such a brutal way...
"I don't think I'll be able to look at Dumbledore in the eye if I come back empty-handed..."
"You're one of the best witches I know," Harry shrugged. "You'll be fine, just try not to murder Flint while you're away."
"He's less annoying now," She grinned. "Ever since he left his parents' house, dunno, he's improved. Although I might murder him if he doesn't stop —"
She was going to say 'flirting', but for some reason, she didn't feel ready to talk about that with Harry. She wasn't ready for anything and yet the world was forcing her to keep moving, it was exhausting.
Mel got up and offered her hand to her friend.
"Do you remember when you were just Harry and I was just Mel, and we were the odd kids at school?" She fixed her gaze on her bedroom window. "Wish we could go back to that."
"When I didn't know I was a wizard?"
"Things were easier back then, don't you think?"
"Maybe," He retorted. "But they were never entirely good."
In Harry, Mel found another reason to stay.
They could have the summer to talk about the things they needed to. She would stare at his aged features and compare them to the ones of that young boy she used to call her best friend...
Their bond still had thousands of cracks that had to be fixed, Mel was having a hard time letting him in again and they needed to be okay in order to know if they wanted to keep the lifeline or not. It wasn't that she didn't want to like him, she wanted the comfort he used to provide, the warmth and security of having someone who understood.
He knew it, and he was trying his best to not mess it up, but Mel didn't want to love him again, cutting the lifeline was the best way to assure that... It was easier said than done, though.
Harry was confused. Sometimes it felt like nothing would ever happen, then an overwhelming affection would crush his chest whenever Mel laughed or touched him. He didn't want to put a name to it, he was terrified of saying it, even to himself. All he knew was that the connection was a way to make sure Mel would be safe, and he didn't want to give that up.
"I should go."
"Yeah..."
"Happy birthday," He said. "I have to be honest and tell you that your present was meant to be sent last Christmas, but..."
"I didn't give you a present either, it's okay... I'm a bit angry though, that was a missed opportunity, I could've won."
Harry laughed.
"You'll have a new chance this year, but I doubt you'll be able to beat me — I've already gotten yours..."
"It's July!"
"I know," His smile vanished suddenly, then he added. "Be careful out there, please."
"Erick'll make sure I don't do anything stupid," Mel smiled. "He's so obsessed with protecting me — as if he didn't know I can do it alone just fine!"
"Yeah, but now's different."
"Different how?"
"We need you alive," He told her. "You want to live long enough to become Headmistress, right?"
Mel froze, not knowing what to answer.
"What?" Harry tilted his head.
"I lied," She blurted out. "I never wanted to be Headmistress — I saw you that night, in the mirror... I saw..."
"What?" He asked again, this time softer.
"You kissed me. A real kiss... like the type we used to gawk at as children."
Harry cleared his throat. "Oh."
A tense silence surrounded them. The variations of colour in his eyes were remarkably easy to notice from where she was standing. She was tilting her head up now, perhaps they were too close.
"Be careful."
"You told me that already," Mel whispered, unable to look away. "Anything else you'd like to say?"
"Yes," He paused, his eyes took a quick glance to her lips. "But if I say it you'll get mad."
Harry kissed her, Mel responded by pulling him down.
It was hard to tell whether she was euphoric or scared, perhaps both, or perhaps neither. As soon as it happened Harry jumped away, and she was dropped back into reality.
"I can't do it — We haven't talked about  the lifeline — We won't make the right choice if we let our feelings —"
"You're right! Yes!" Mel said, acting just as agitated. "It's a terrible idea — I like you, but—"
"—it's confusing," He said anxiously. "Do you have feelings for me?"
"Do you have feelings for me?" Mel asked in a high-pitched voice.
"No!" He responded, but his voice trembled with a lack of confidence. "I care about you a lot —"
"— I care for you too —"
"— But just —"
"— as friends!"
They stared at each other with the same frightened expression.
"I'm sorry if I made things uncomfortable," He groaned, running a hand through his hair. "I... I don't want to lose you."
"We need to spend some time apart," She nodded, avoiding his eyes. "We can ignore this happened, right?"
"Absolutely," He agreed. "You're spending the summer at the burrow?"
"My mum and my brother will be there, so I kind of have to... is that okay?"
"It's okay," Harry looked around. "We... we should go."
Tumblr media
"Did you ever regret falling for my dad?" Mel asked randomly. "I mean, you ever wonder how things would've turned out if you'd stayed as friends?"
Emily stopped folding her clothes.
"Something nagging that head of yours?"
"I think relationships are a waste of time. They all break and you always end up hurting..."
"What makes you think such nonsense?" Emily raised a brow, leaning back on the couch. "Who are you and what did you do to my daughter?"
"You don't think that way?" She asked doubtfully.
"Because I lost my partners that means I have to be bitter?"
"I didn't mean it like that," Mel replied quickly. "But... yeah."
Emily remained silent for a moment, gathering her thoughts.
"Solitude can do weird things to your heart, love. It can pull you towards bad or good places... People that make you feel a little less lonesome, someone who understands you. You should hold onto that for as long as you can, no matter how scary it is. You never know what wonderful things may bring you..."
"Sirius said something similar a year ago," Mel said quietly. "Something about finding my equal, that the earth's full of options and stuff..."
"I won't force you to find a partner if that's not what you want, but you're young and the world is big, you can't turn your back on every opportunity."
"It's not like I have lots of prospects right now..." She huffed.
"You don't need lots, just the right one."
Mel hesitated for a moment, then added:
"I know you used to have a crush on James Potter."
Emily looked up from the laundry again, she raised a brow. "Oh?"
"I know it was a long time ago," She shifted in her place awkwardly. "But do you ever wonder what would've happened if you two..?"
The woman sighed.
"Only once."
"When?"
"When I found out Voldemort was after his son," She folded the last shirt and handed it to Mel. "I asked myself if I had made the right choice by giving him up... When I look at you I know it was the right thing to do. What happened to James and Lily... it was horrible, but it wasn't my fault. I was happy with your father; maybe Matthew wasn't my first love, but when it comes to this, your first love rarely is the one that lasts."
"Mel?" Erick walked into the room. "If we're planning to drive around all day tomorrow, you should sleep," He nodded shortly at both of them and left the room, her mother chuckled.
"You know, Erick reminds me of your father... I know Sirius said he was like his brother, but Regulus made all the wrong choices... Erick's done all this for himself, to be better. Just like Matty."
Mel's gaze lingered on the doorway long after Erick had left.
"Thank you, for letting me go," She sighed, looking back at the woman. "I don't love following Dumbledore's orders but I... I want to make this world a better place."
"Love," Emily cupped her face adoringly. "I know why you're doing this. Just how I knew why you flew that car to save Harry, and why you went to the Ministry... but you're my daughter, and it's my job to worry about you anyway."
Tumblr media
Erick and Mel took three changes of clothing and put them in the trunk, Emily gave them muggle money. Mel had a fake driver's license as well as Erick, and they would take turns driving. Harry was nowhere to be seen, but it was expected since it was five in the morning. She hadn't mentioned the kiss to either her mother or Erick, she was determined to keep it that way, much like the whole lifeline stuff and the prophecy.
'Just pile more secrets on top, why don't you,' She thought bitterly as she walked out of the house.
Emily hugged both and let them kiss Reggie goodbye, Mel promised they would see each other soon, and Erick vowed he'd make sure Mel would be safe (she snorted loudly at this). Once inside the car, her friend took a deep breath.
"Ready?"
"This isn't our first adventure, Prince."
"This one's the first we do with permission."
"You're an adult, you don't need anyone's approval."
"You know what I mean," He rolled his eyes.
"Sorry. I get defensive when I'm —"
"I know," He sighed. "I talk too much when I'm worried."
"I know," She put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed lightly. "I'm ready... We'll be okay."

Earthbound: Arthur’s Story
Context:
Hundreds of years after the fall of Earth, mankind is slowly starting to return. Some people have a stronger urge to return than others, confused by fragments of memories from a life already lived.
Full fic can be found here.
---
Arthur is eight. He sits on the side of the playground, watching the children run about and play games together that he was never invited to play and which he doesn’t really want to, anyway. This is what he tells himself, at least, because really, he does want to play but whenever he’s asked to join in before, they’ve said no, so he’s stopped asking now. They’re fun to watch though, both the game itself and the people playing it. He can watch who cheats, who misses the kick, who pushes too hard on purpose and who kindly let’s things go.
He learns a lot, from watching.
Arthur has always watched. He watches his parents fight when they think he can’t hear or see them, he watches his mum graze her hand over Mr Benson’s arm as she passes him in the corridor of their building, watches his dad see and press his lips into a firm line but say nothing.
Arthur stands apart from other people, cut adrift on his own, and takes in what he sees, carries the information he finds in his mind like pebbles in a pocket and tucks them away for later. He feels that this keeps him safer, somehow, because he knows about things. Not that he knows what he will use any of what he’s learned for, or why he feels as though he needs to carry secrets that aren’t his in his heart, but he does, anyway.
Granddad tells him it’s ‘endearing’, that he watches, when he catches him doing so. Calls him patient, and a wise old soul with an island heart. Arthur doesn’t know what an island is, and Granddad tells him that it’s something Earth used to have, swathes of land rising out of the sea.
‘Is all land not an island, then?’ He asks, ‘Because the earth was mostly all sea, wasn’t it?’ At least, this is what he’s heard in school in lessons about the Fall; stale secrets as old and thin as air, a dying whisper across the ages from humanity long ago.
Granddad shakes his head and combs a calloused hand through Arthur’s hair. ‘No’, he says, ‘islands are smaller bits of land apart from the rest. They’re surrounded by the ocean, all on their own.’
He means it kindly but Arthur feels hurt anyway, because he doesn’t want to be on his own. He tries to make friends, tries to play with the other children and talk with them and share his collection of secrets but they never want to, telling him that he’s strange or haughty or boring.
Granddad notices his disappointment and crouches down to pull him in for a hug, pressing him into his chest. ‘No, it’s not a bad thing!’ he says, holding him tight. ‘Islands are strong, they stand up all on their own. The sea keeps on pushing and pushing, but an island pushes right back, no matter how hard it is.’
He pulls back, looks Arthur in the eye. ‘Don’t change for the sea of people, Arthur; you don’t need to be anyone but yourself. Sometimes it’s better to be an island, than to lose sense of who you are.’
Arthur nods, feeling better. Half of him hates that even Granddad sees him as that, alone and different, recognising his failure to fit in, but the other half of him takes pride in it, that he is who he is and if that’s different from everyone else, then maybe that’s okay. So, he carries on watching the children play games without him, carries on looking for secrets and listening for change, hoping all the while that, maybe, they’ll reach out and invite him in.
Arthur is eleven when his granddad dies. It wasn’t a surprise and he knew it was coming, but the blow hits him hard anyway and sweeps him off his feet. He feels hollow, like his insides have been carved out and not replaced with anything; a ringing deadened nothing that weighs him down and leaves him numb. It doesn’t seem real, because Granddad was here and now he’s not and Arthur is exactly the same but his world has collapsed. And that, that doesn’t seem possible because how can so much be the same when such a huge part is missing?
After the funeral, a sad sorry affair where adults drift aimlessly like ships unmoored, he hides himself away in his room where his heart hurts and he can hardly stop crying long enough to think. He doesn’t know what he’s going to do, now, because Granddad was the only person who really knows- knew- him. He curls in on himself, tight fists and thick throat, and reaches for an e-tab, loaded with stories Granddad thinks -thought- he’d like and even some straight from Granddad himself. They’re all old, old old old things about heroes and monsters, courage and loss, long journeys across wide wide seas, and from the tales of others Arthur forgets himself, briefly, and escapes for just a moment.
Using them to start, he begins to try his hand at his own.
Each night when he is supposed to be sleeping, Arthur huddles under his blankets and spins his own stories, weaving together all of the secrets he’s ever found to make somewhere real and alive; a large family with scores of people to talk to he sails ancient seas and explores the unknown, making friends wherever he goes. They speak to him as he sleeps in unknown familiar voices and it’s a place warm and happy where he can’t hear his parents scream at each other and someone will remember to wish him goodnight.
More and more Arthur hides himself away, feeding off tales of a different place entirely and a yearning in him grows so strong that he’s surprised no one can see it, read it like his soul is mapped on his skin.
Arthur is fifteen and his school have decided that it’s time for a school trip. It’s to the botanical gardens, this time, set up in the middle of the main city dome. It’s only recently been built because, as with all human colonies, the focus is on survival first, the basic needs for life: oxygen, water, heat, food. His colony isn’t new, but it also isn’t that old and things are just advancing enough that money can be spent on more frivolous things. The gardens are just plants: grasses and flowers and trees that aren’t good for anything other than looking pretty, he guesses, but it’s new and educational so his school bundles them all up into year groups and ferries them across town to study what’s there and write a journalistic report to justify the excursion.
Arthur has made a few friends now, people he can talk to about homework, sit on shuttles next to, and hang out with after school. The air between them is stale and flat but safe and predictable, and Arthur is thankful he has this, these people at least, who like him enough to tolerate his presence, a small fragile bridge connecting them together. They’re all corralled into dreary lines as they approach the gardens, Arthur’s group slinking at the rear, so it takes a while for Arthur to notice that they’ve properly arrived.
He hands over his ticket, watches it marked with a stamp, and turns his gaze to go through the doors and stops, dead. There, right at the start to welcome them in, is an assault of colour; flowers bursting from the ground in a cacophony of hues that capture the eye and dazzle him. It’s a vivacity that he’s never before dreamt was possible and he can’t look away, even as people jostle him to get past and he feels himself moving powerless along with the tide.
It’s odd, it’s strange because he’s seen flowers and things in e-books but he’s never seen any before in real life and he can’t seem to match them together in his head, the pictures in his mind and what is in front of him now. He’s overwhelmed with the experience, the sights, the smells- a heady thing that turns his mind to cotton, and he stumbles forward to touch them, fingers stroking velvety petals before his teacher pulls him sharply away.
‘Can you not see the signs?’ she hisses at him, ‘we need to stay off the grass; I told you all this in the shuttle. Don’t touch.’
Her voice comes at him through a fog and it is an effort to turn his head to look at her, nodding dumbly. ‘Sorry,’ he mutters, fingers tacky with pollen and time, ‘I just-‘
He just, what? He doesn’t have the words to describe this, what he’s feeling, even to himself; his emotions a curious storm of sensations: he feels home, he feels homesick, he feels calm and sad and happy and angry, for some reason because it’s so familiar and beautiful and achingly new that what he really wants to do, embarrassingly, is sit down on the grass and cry into the dirt.
Luckily, he has enough presence of mind and teenage pride to shake himself free of whatever is happening to him and manages to locate his friends, watching him awkwardly from the path. They greet him, unsure, but Arthur can’t bring himself to care, can’t bring himself to be ashamed for not hiding his strangeness, for letting his normalcy slip. He feels the bridges between them shake and weaken but his eyes dart about the trees, drinking in the depths of green and he struggles to stay afloat in today.
That night he dreams of the sea, the sea and the sky and an endless horizon that broadens outwards, endlessly, just for him and he feels the tug of the unknown call to him across a vast and forgotten ocean. Then, as the sea rocks him in his dreams it turns dark; pulling him down into its vast weight he drowns on sea foam and regret. Unfulfilled dreams and broken promises fill his boots and drag him down and it's all his fault, all of it, everything he ever did could have been so very different, all those people he hurt when he didn't mean to, all those terrible things he's said, all those-
 He gasps awake.
His room is dark, starlight blocked by curtains, and unmoving, but still he feels rocked by non-existent currents and the room dips and sways when he moves his head to clutch at his knees.
The visit to the gardens, plainly, changes him; something morphs or grows within and he knows, deeply, that he doesn’t want to do anything else. He begins to select classes and at nineteen he specialises his studies in agriculture, in plants and trees and earth and grasses. He wants to grow them; learn how they work and how to use them for things. They have so many uses, in so many sectors, and Arthur can’t understand how other people don’t find them as fascinating as he does.
There’s a breakthrough, that year. Earth, the original home of humankind, becomes viable and opens its arms wide. They’re looking for people, for farmers and fishers and growers and makers to stabilise the colony and Arthur knows that that’s where he needs to be, that’s where he needs to go and he can’t wait, won’t wait, not for one moment longer. He applies, pouring hours over his application the days before he submits it because there is a wild hunger in him, a need that he knows deep in his bones won’t be extinguished any other way and he makes sure to press what he knows about plants into what he writes.
It’s a wait, a tense hard thing than wears at him, eroding him away but then, at last, confirmation; he’s in.
A two-year journey is all that’s between him and the sea of his dreams and the greenery of fields and trees. He tells his parents, separately. They divorced, last year, and Arthur is glad, so glad that they never had any children other than him, glad that there was no one else caught in that maelstrom of words and bitterness. It poisoned the house, poisoned the space between them all and filtered down to Arthur, trapped in the middle with nowhere to go.
But not anymore. He packs very little, stands to reminisce not for very long, before heading out of the door. He’s early, about five or so hours left before he can board, but once he’s said his goodbyes and gathered his things it’s as though he can’t stand to be there in that house, in that place, for one more second. The opaque material of his colony’s domes press down on him as he walks, murky and grey; he all at once feels as though he is sinking underwater and he stops on the way to the launch site, arms swinging and a pounding in his head. A deep breath, a catch in the throat, and he instead turns to veer back towards town, to the botanical gardens.
They’re familiar to him now, as known to him as his own hands, and he settles himself underneath a wide thick tree next to a bush of roses spilt red like blood and gets out an e-tab. His granddad’s voice emerges, soft and old like paper telling tales of the sea, and his words curl around Arthur’s chest to rock him back to himself and wish him good luck.

Horrors AU - Into the Wolves’ Den
Part 2 of the ‘Briar VS Proxies’ story. Part 1 here.
TW: mentions of violence, ask to tag
No one ever told her proxies were as strong as Horrors. There was no way to pull away from Hoodie's grip. Not that she wanted to try. The moonlight glinted off the rifle in his other hand. He'd been willing to use it before on her. Even if she somehow got away, he'd shoot her down before she could get far. And then, what would happen to her? Would he carry her away? Or would he shoot her in the head? Even a Horror couldn't survive that.
Briar had no choice but to follow him wherever he was taking her.
They were the loudest things in the Forest. More her than him. Hoodie dodged past trees and avoided branches with skilled practice. Everything broke under Briar's feet. She was trained to sneak through buildings, not nature. If it annoyed Hoodie, he didn't say it. He didn't say anything to her at all.
She drew in a breath, tasting the wood and heat in the air.
"Are you going to kill me?" Briar asked.
"Shut up," Hoodie said. The iron grip tightened, and she cringed. "No," he added, his grip relaxing. "But if you don't do what we want, you'll wish we would."
Swallowing, Briar nodded. Do what they want. Do whatever they wanted. What other choice did she have? They could hurt the others if she acted out. He says they wouldn't kill her, but that didn't mean much. Jeff taught her all about the things you could do to someone without killing them.
Oh, Jeff… her heart ached at the thought of her mentor. If only she'd listened to him.
“Please,” she said, looking at him. “Something’s wrong. Do you know where-”
“Are you deaf?” Hoodie snapped. “I said shut up!”
Briar flinched away. Hoodie took a deep breath.
“I’ve noticed it too,” He said, in a steady, growling voice. “I know your friends are gone. But it’s not my job to care about them. I have my orders, and they involve getting you taken care of.”
She shuddered.
“If you say anything else,” Hoodie said, tone darkening, “Without me addressing you first, I’m going to break your leg and make you walk the rest of the way there. Keep your mouth shut. Got it?”
Images of her teenage years flashed through her head. When she was fifteen, she’d dislocated her knee at a survivor’s camp. The camp’s major decided the injury was her own fault, and told the medics not to help her. The next two weeks were agony, Briar barely able to move, but still forced to walk and stand and sit with the others. They told her the pain was her weakness leaving her body. It was only when they were short on hands that the major decided to have her knee popped into place to help build the security wall. Her biological family wasn’t there to help her, just like her real family wasn’t here to save her now.
She’d never forgotten what it was like to dislocate her knee. And breaking a leg was worse. Now her body healed faster than before, so it wouldn’t be two weeks of suffering, but if she could avoid any extra pain… Was that considered cowardice? Then she must be a coward.
Briar nodded. Hoodie snorted, yanked her forward, and walked faster through the trees. She forced herself to keep up.
She knew the Forest was massive, and maybe it was the fear talking, but this walk seemed to take longer than any she'd taken before. The silence hurt. All the questions she had circled through her head, like echoes. She wanted Jeff. She wanted Eyeless Jack and Ben, and Laughing Jack, too, even if he drove her crazy. What was she going to do? How was she going to survive this? She should've listened to Jeff…
Through the trees, light caught her eye. Briar tensed, refocusing her attention. Wherever he was taking her must be up ahead, and if she got out and wanted to find it again, she had to focus.
She wasn't prepared for it.
Briar had only seen buildings as big as this in the cities. She'd heard about old manors, pre-fall mansions, that could've housed over twenty people, and employed over fifty just to take care of it. Huge and gray, it stood as tall as the trees, three stories of windows and balconies, carved monsters perched on the roof, beautiful and hideous, a disaster of design and existence. It shouldn't still be standing, ivy clutching every wall, glass windows shattered or missing. The wood was rotting, the brick crumbling. And yet there were lights on, she could see them shine by either side of the front door. How?
Her feet almost stumbled on the first stone but Hoodie didn't let her fall, hauling her up and forward. Briar's stomach twisted, looking down at her shoes as they stumbled over the once impressive pavement, now overgrown with weeds and grass.
They live here, Briar thought. Like Jeff told me.
Hoodie was taking her to the other proxies, and what was going to happen to her then? Would they tear her apart like they did when they executed a Horror? Or would it be a slow torture, a gradual fall into despair, or worse?
As they stepped up the stairs, someone laughed from the inside. Briar inhaled the hot summer air and bit her lip. She couldn’t show fear. She had to be like Jeff. But as Hoodie yanked the door open, and a cold breeze slammed into her face, Briar realized a stoney expression wasn’t going to happen.
The entry hall went silent as they crossed into the manor. Goosebumps pricked along her skin, Briar shivering in the sudden chill. She didn’t look up at the assembled proxies but she felt their eyes, their surprise, on her. Briar kept her eyes to the floor, following Hoodie as he led her deeper into the manor without a word to his allies. He bypassed the stairs, heading down a hall, and behind them, footsteps followed.
She only looked up when they came to a stop. A generic brown door stood in front of her. Hoodie yanked it open. Releasing her arm, he shoved her back, hard enough to bruise. Crying out, Briar fell into the room, hitting the dirty floor with a pained yelp. A shadow fell over her, and with a click she could feel, gloved hands removed the handcuffs. The shadow straightened again and behind her, the door slammed shut. She twisted to look over her shoulder just in time to hear something lock.
“That takes care of that,” Hoodie said on the other side. “For now.”
“What the hell are you thinking?!” A man shouted. “Why did you bring her here?!”
“You know damn well why I did, Masky,” Hoodie replied. “She’s not going to give us any more problems now. The plan can continue without being interrupted for the third fucking time.”
Briar pushed herself up to her hands and knees, turning to press against the door to listen.
“So you kidnapped her,” the man replied, the anger burning in his voice. “To get her out of the way.”
“We’re not keeping her, if that’s what you’re worried about,” Hoodie said. “She’s not a pet. We teach her a lesson about minding her own business, finish the plan, and let her go. She’s smart. She’ll learn.”
“Hoodie, how are we going to feed her? We barely have enough food for ourselves,” Masky said. “And none of our dungeons are ready for prisoners. The only one with a shower is still wrecked after Toby’s bullshit.”
“I said I’d fix it!” A third, younger male voice said, and Briar winced. “I’ve got the stuff. I just don’t have enough hands.”
“Could’ve said you needed help,” Masky said.
“Easy,” Hoodie warned. “Beastie, Skully, you’re going to help Toby fix the dungeon. Kate, you’re going to get her supplies. Masky, you and I are going grocery shopping - tomorrow. We don’t need to worry about her tonight.”
“Thank the reaper,” a woman, Kate presumably, said in a dry voice.
“We’re just going to leave her in there all night?” Masky said.
“Yeah,” Hoodie said. “She’s a Horror, she’ll manage. Though since you give a shit, you get first dibs.”
“What? No!” Masky said.
“Shut up, I’m being nice. The rest of you have to wait your turns, got it?”
The group beyond the door grumbled, their voices blending together to the point Briar couldn’t understand what they were saying. Their voices joined with their footsteps, fading into the silence that surrounded her. Briar pulled away from the door.
She wasn’t in a big room. Actually, it was probably a large closet. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness as she listened to the conversation, but looking around revealed very little. A few empty boxes, a pile of rags in the corner, that was it. And it wasn’t any warmer than the entryway had been.
Briar leaned against the door and hugged herself. Her eyes closed. They weren’t going to kill her. They’d let her go but only after they’d ‘taught her a lesson’, a phrase she’d heard before in her life, and it never failed to make her sick to her stomach. A long term stay, long enough to need food, supplies, a bathroom. God, how could she have let herself be captured? What was she going to do?
Still hugging herself, Briar pulled away from the door and paced. Whatever the proxies were going to do to her, it would hurt, and there wasn’t much she could do about it. They wanted revenge - but for what? She’d only seen the proxies in passing outside of skirmishes in and out of the Forest. Had she angered them somehow? They acted like she knew what she was doing the whole time, but she couldn’t think of anything she’d done to them. She certainly never attacked first, and if she learned about a plan, she wouldn’t try to stop it, she’d try to learn more about it and tell the others.
The others… Briar wiped a hand over her face. The men she loved, and who loved her and each other. Where were they right now? Were they hurt? Were they captured? Were they… dead? No, she wouldn’t think about that, she wouldn’t even consider that. They couldn’t be dead, and they weren’t going to die. They survived the Horrors War, whatever happened, they could survive. And she could survive this ordeal, even if it hurt.
She pressed her forehead against the cold, off white wall. The hardest part would be sleeping, if she could, was allowed, to sleep at all. It’d been months since she last slept alone. There was nothing sexual about it, Horrors cuddled when they slept, a tangle of limbs and breathing under the sheets. Usually it was Jeff, sleeping next to her back to back. Sometimes it was Eyeless Jack, with Jeff or alone with her. Laughing Jack rolled on top of her sometimes in the night, his body as light as a teddy bear. Ben didn’t sleep but he’d let her put her head in his lap while he played his games. And when they could, they’d all pile into her bed at once. And it was nice. It was right.
The tears burned her eyes. There was no one to see them, but she fought them at first. But her body always won. The tears flowed down, hot against her chilled skin. Briar swallowed a sob. She couldn’t let them hear her, she wouldn’t give them that pleasure.
Stumbling towards the pile of rags, Briar collapsed into it, leaning into the corner behind her. She covered her face with both hands, and let herself hurt.
I’ll get out, she comforted herself as she wept in silence. This isn’t my end. I’ll get out.
And if the eyes watching from the darkness judged her for crying, they were quiet about it.

The Fosters Season 1 | TV Show Review
Tumblr media
Teenager Callie Jacob is placed in a foster home with a lesbian couple and their blend of biological, adoptive, and foster children.
Source: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2262532/
Why this Show is not Perfect but Close Enough
I have been planning watching this show since the first time I heard about it, and that was years ago (possibly around the time season 2 was out). But like the tradition of yours truly, procrastination got the best of me and thus, I only began the show now.
Honestly speaking, as much as I was looking forward to watching The Fosters Season 1, I did not actually have high hopes because I tend to enjoy TV shows of other genres more than a realistic storyline. This show really took me by a huge surprise. It took a while for me to get used to it but after the first three or four episodes, I could confidently say I was hooked on it! Although there were still flaws, I really enjoyed some of the topics they discussed or focused on in the show. It’s definitely something I want my younger cousins (or anyone young) to watch; they will learn–immensely–from it and grow to be better, more empathetic adults.
Why do I say that? There’s normalcy in sexuality in the entire season. Even when we disregard the fact that Stef’s father had a hard time grasping the idea of his daughter being a lesbian, there’s still normalcy in all sexuality. For example, when Jude painted his nails (I know Callie was objective of it but let’s not think about that), and he was strongly supported by Lena and Mariana. Also, after Jude got ridiculed in school and removed his painted nails the next day, Connor showed his support by painting his nails to school! Nothing was mentioned about sexuality there and that’s what I meant by normalcy, because...whoever made the claim that painting nails is only for a specific sexuality or gender right?
I also particularly liked the part where Jude was confused about his own sexuality and had that little chat with Lena. I didn’t quite like how quickly Lena dismissed Jude’s suspicion as simply confusion but I understand why she did that. What I really appreciated was how Lena mentioned that they should not describe which sexuality is normal or not, that they should not use the term ‘normal’ in their discussion. Because that’s the truth.
Something else that the show did amazingly was teach us the lesson of giving forgiveness before the luxury of doing so is robbed from us. This was during Stef’s father’s passing. First of all, let me just say, that episode robbed me of so much tears! But, I digress. This episode really taught me so much about forgiving others. Using Stef’s case: She only saw that when she was younger, her father strongly objected of homosexuality, now that she’s older, her father still could not accept his own daughter’s sexuality. What she failed to see was her father’s efforts and own struggles to accept her sexuality. To Stef, it was either an acceptance or objection, there’s no in between. But that is not the case and there are always at least two sides to a story. So in future before we condemn someone or something, or decide whether we should or should not forgive, we really should try to understand where the other side is coming from first. Forgive, before it’s not even a choice anymore.
Moving on, I really need to praise Callie’s growth in this season. I have to admit, I really did not like her in the beginning. She refused to talk, refused to ask for help when help had been offered, and yet she complained about no one being there for her? Spoilt was what Callie was. But from the beginning of the season to the last episode of The Fosters Season 1, I saw a tremendous growth in her personality. Granted, there’s still plenty of room to grow but she’s finally not that annoying girl I was irritated by in the beginning anymore.
Can’t see that growth I’m talking about? I mean, just look at how she handled her relationship with Brandon, and then look at how Brandon dealt with it. Tell me you cannot see the difference there. Also, Callie’s relationship with Mariana? I love it when two girls with their differences come out closer than ever in the end.
All in all, I really enjoyed watching Callie mature. She went from only trusting Jude to having a family and so many friends she’s genuinely happy with. Plus, she’s lucky to have Wyatt as a friend. I don’t know what will happen in the future seasons but Wyatt’s an extremely good friend to Callie now. And for someone as flawed and damaged as Callie is, she needs the support she gets now.
I had almost forgot about him but I have to talk about Mike. This man... I have never once disliked him. I felt his pain every time it became evident in the show. And...I really wish for his sufferings to stop already. It’s not his fault he fell in love with someone who would never love him the same way he did. Yet, while Stef moved on happily with Lena and Brandon’s in an extremely loving family, nobody seemed to care that Mike’s not okay. Brandon blamed his father (and alcoholism) for everything and anything, and that pissed me off because Brandon does see that it’s not his father’s fault. Yes, alcoholism usually starts with the person making the decision to pick up a glass of alcohol but there are times when you cannot make the right decision at that moment. It’s like asking a fuming person to not spout a word of anger, just how is that possible? Even if the anger is not verbalised, that same anger floods the person’s head, mind and heart. So yes, I feel much pity for Mike and the lack of care towards his direction.
Because while care does not go towards him, he cares deeply for everybody else; starting from Lena and ending with Callie and Jude–two people who had absolutely no link to Mike yet. Here are some examples... 1. He escorted Mariana at her quinceanera when asked, without any further questions and whatnot. 2. When Jesus was thought to be meeting up with his biological mother, he also went to help find Jesus, that ultimately caused problems for his job. Yet, he never once blamed Jesus, never. 3. When Callie ran away so Stef and Lena had to go find her, he took responsibility to look after the rest of the kids. That was the episode I finally wholeheartedly love this character.
What I want is for Mike Foster to have a better future in the next four seasons. I’m praying I don’t get disappointed when I am done with the show...
As much as I love The Fosters Season 1, there were some things where I was frowning deeply on. Mentioned earlier on in the review, I really did not like how Brandon handled his relationship with Callie. I mean, I appreciated his sacrifice at the end of the season but during the middle, I was hella pissed! However, as pissed as I was, I did not like what happened to him at the ending of the season! Bullies...why are they still a thing? Seriously. And linked to Brandon, can I just say I hate Dina and everything about her? She’s definitely the most toxic person in The Fosters Season 1.
Something else I disliked was the way Jesus did Lexi dirty. I shall say first that I like Jesus with Emma more. But...when Lexi gave Jesus a way out of their relationship, I cannot help but like Lexi so much more than before. She did not do that once but twice! That girl gave Jesus a way out of the relationship twice and he still did her so dirty. The Foster boys in this show (apart from Mike) are really something else.
Overall, The Fosters Season 1 was an extremely enjoyable show. A show that one can binge on. I might have taken a break in the middle of the season but I still binged the show like nobody’s business when I was back to watching the show. Once again, I must stress how much I love the lessons taught in the show. I genuinely appreciate it.
PS: Am I the only one who thinks the Callie-Brandon storyline was redundant?

“Avatar: The Last Airbender” is one of the best shows I’ve seen
Tumblr media
This is your spoiler warning.
Note: I started writing this forever ago when I actually finished the show, but my procrastination is deadly, so I only got through the paragraph on Zuko before waiting like a month to pick it up again.
Note 2.0: I know that there are comics that continue the series where it left off, but I haven’t read any of them. All of this will be based soley off of atla.
I started watching “Avatar: The Last Airbender” for two reasons. One, I remember seeing parts of episodes here and there as a small child, and I found what I saw intriguing; and two, my boyfriend just really, really loves it. When it showed up in the Netflix Spotlight I knew I was going to watch it, but it ended up taking longer for me to get to it than I originally expected. I procrastinate doing things I want to do just as much as things I don’t, but that’s another story.
I’m going to keep the actual review short. The show has been finished since 2008 and there is probably not much that I can say that hasn’t already been said. Besides that, I mostly just want to talk about my opinions because I have a lot of them.
“Avatar: The Last Airbender” is great on all accounts. All of the characters were interesting and complex. The plot was extremely complex, but easy to understand by anyone, no matter their age. In fact, when I made my grandma watch the first episode, it seemed like she kind of enjoyed it. Of course it is also possible she said that to be nice and was really thinking “what the fuck” the entire time. I haven’t found a single person say they don’t like “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” but maybe I’m not looking hard enough. Honestly I don’t know what else to say, I’m sorry, I just really want to talk about my opinions.
Let’s Talk About Zuko (because I love him)
Tumblr media
I mean just look at him. How could he not be your favorite. Zuko is probably the best developed character in atla, and I’ll be honest, I never saw him as a “bad guy.” I mean, he was certainly a villian, but he wasn’t a bad person. In the first few episodes, Zuko is already painted as a sympathetic villian. We learn that as a young teenager his father banished him, sending him into a search for the Avatar. A search that was seemingly destined to fail. It is important to remember that Zuko was a CHILD. His family turned on him and all he wanted was join them again. Zuko’s actions were overall understandable.
Now Let’s Talk About Azula (she deserves better)
Tumblr media
Azula doesn’t get as much sympathy as Zuko for obvious reasons. When the show ends her fate isn’t as clear as all the other characters. We get to see Ozai rotting in a cell, but Azula’s last scene is her having a complete mental breakdown after Katara managed to best her in combat. I’m sure the comics cover what happens next for her, but again I haven’t read them.
I’ve seen tons of people calling Azula a psycho, and an irredeemable monster, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Like Zuko she is just a child. She is only fourteen years old when the events of atla take place, and is the product of manipulation and abuse from both of her parents. She deserves a redemtion arc. There are videos and posts that will explain Azula’s psyche better than I ever will be able to, but I’m gonna try anyway.
I would like to make it clear that I do not believe Ozai deserves redemption. He was a grown ass adult who abused and manipulated everyone around him. While Azula also abused and manipulated the people around her, she did so as a child, following her father’s example. In addition to that, we know that Ursa’s belief that Azula was a monster hurt her. Ursa never showed that she believed Azula could be a better person, and therefore why would Azula be choose to be kind and good when her father rewarded the abusive tendencies she developed? One of the big differences between Zuko and Azula’s upbringing is that their mother believed in Zuko. She believed he could do good in the world but failed to show Azula the kindness she showed Zuko.
The cycle of abuse is very real. Pretending that Azula is just some psycho, and not a child following the pattern of behavior she saw growing up is immature. There is no question that she regularly did horrible things, and I don’t even think that her friends, Ty Lee and Mai, or Zuko should forgive her if they don’t want to, but she does deserve a fresh start. Let’s be real, Azula would need a lot of therapy to even get to a place where she could potentially be redeemed or forgiven.
In summary, people need to stop writing Azula off as an irredeemable psycho.
Kataang: Thanks I Hate It (just hear me out, okay)
Tumblr media
Kataang vs. Zutara is such a huge debate, and trust me, I’ll get into Zutara, but right now I want to talk about why I don’t like Kataang in a list format.
Their Age Difference-- I think sometimes adults writing teen/preteen characters completely forget what it’s like to actually be those ages. Aang is twelve (I get that he’s technically one hundred and twelve) and Katara is fourteen. While two years really isn’t a big age difference, especially as people get older, it is a little weird when the the people are twelve and fourteen. When I’ve brought up this age difference to people I’ve always heard the argument that Aang is mature for his age and that’s why it works. That is a faulty for a number of reasons. First of all, the claim that someone is mature for their age is used to justify inappropriate relationships by pedophiles all the time. Secondly, it could be argued that Katara is mature for her age as well, so there is no way their maturity is equal. My final point, there’s a good chance Aang hasn’t even gone through puberty yet while Katara is definitely well on her way on that front. Maybe that sounds weird, but males start puberty between the Ages of nine and fourteen, which means there Aang is at a pretty average age to START puberty. Females start puberty between the ages of eight and thirteen which means she’s well on her way. Like I said, puberty sounds like a weird thing to bring up, but a lot of maturity come from going throught puberty.
They Made Such Good Friends-- Aang and Katara had such a good friendship throughout the show. It could have been a great example of a platonic friendship between a straight cis guy and a straight cis girl. Instead we got the male and female lead end up together, just like they do in everything else.
No Evidence of Reciprocated Feeling-- While obviously Katara must like Aang because otherwise she wouldn’t have kissed him, I don’t think there was very much evidence leading up to that moment that Katara had any sort of romantic feelings towards Aang. Throughout the series she says she only sees him as a good friend, almost as a brother. I will admit, there were hints here and there. In the episode The Fortuneteller, Katara is told she’ll marry a powerful bender, and in the end of the episode she realizes that Aang is an extremely powerful bender. In the secret tunnel her and Aang kiss/almost kiss (I can’t remember exactly), and in that moment it seems like maybe she could have feelings for him. Other than various small moments there isn’t a lot of evidence that she liked him. I think the evolution of Katara’s feelings should have gotten more attention because the kiss at the end felt a bit like it was out of nowhere.
It’s A Missed Opportunity-- There are so many cases in real life of cis men thinking their entitled to a romantic relationship with a woman because they’re friends, or she was kind to him once. Because of the young intended audience for the show, it could have been great to show little kids that it’s okay if romantic feelings towards someone aren’t reciprocated, and that it doesn’t have to ruin a friendship. Also that no body is really at fault when that kind of thing happens. It would have been a good lesson but obviously it didn’t go that way.
I haven’s seen it, but I know that in Legend of Korra you find out that Aang and Katara ended up getting married and having children. I think that still could have happened if they ended atla as friends. It could have been them developing feelings for eachother as young adults.
This ship has potential but I wish they did it differently in canon.
Zutara Isn’t Ideal Either
Tumblr media
Honestly my biggest problem with this ship is the fact that many of the people who ship it don’t take into accout the fact that they both (particularly Katara) have trauma because of the other person. Zuko spent months hunting down and intimidating the gaang. Like I said he’s redeemed himself but that shouldn’t just brush the terrible things he did under the rug. Katara threatens Zuko’s life when he first joins the gaang, and I can’t blame her for that. She doesn’t know whether or not he’s really changed.
Like Kataang this ship has potential, but it shouldn’t be romantasized beyond the limits of what is possible.
In Summary
Tumblr media
(wish i could give credit to whoever drew this but i don’t know who it was)
I could write a book on all of the opinion I have about this spectacular series. However, I’m exhaused and want to go to sleep. I will not be proofreading this, sorry.
Legend of Korra was just put on netflix and I’m sure that once I watch it I’ll have a million more things to say.
I don’t know how to end this, so uh... Peace?

Know-it-all : G.D.
A/N : This whole thing was inspired by @milliondollardolan and their writing. Reading their stuff really wanted me to get back into the groove of writing. This one is more of a rant in the form of fiction. I can’t be the only one frustrated with the issues presented here.
The goal here wasn’t to make the reader seem as if she’s reactive or passive, but to seem more real in her insecurities.
My hope is that it isn’t read as more of a tangent than having actual flow and, that you find elements that you can identify with. Moreover, I hope that you enjoy it!
She really couldn’t help it. After all, we’re all products of our own upbringing.
Y/N sat in the loud pub with the small gang comprising of Ethan, Grayson, Emma and one of her close friends, Morgan.
The traditional green walls mixed with the dark painted beams made her feel as if she was in Britain, a place she always wanted to visit. Pale string lights were hung from the ceiling only adding to the oxymoron that was this pub; chaotically calming. With her chin resting on her hand, Y/N took in the people at the tables around her. There were a group of guys sat at a table closer to the bar, giving in their two-cents to the game being broadcasted on the flat screen TVs hung all throughout the pub. Across from where she was, she noticed a family all laughing together, almost as if they were reminiscing. To the side of them stood a couple balloons. One read Happy Birthday! , the other, a simple 21 years old!
With the lively setting surrounding her, her focus remained on the couples throughout the establishment. She noticed how they were flirting, laughing and finding safety in each other’s company. As bitter as it sounded, she couldn’t help but feel repulsion. Not to the couples, of course, she was more than happy for them. It was more the idea of being that vulnerable with somebody – having them know you through and through. It didn’t help that she had a huge, no good, emotionally draining crush on Grayson.
What was even more confusing was that, despite her longing to simply be with him, she was faced with uncertainty due to multiple past relationships of which were, disempowering to say the least. She noticed how her boldness started chipping. What made it worse for her was the subtle misogyny she grew up with. The small phrases she would receive affected her confidence gravely. Comments like: “Nobody likes a know-it-all”, “Boys are intimidated by smart girls”, and her favourite, “You’ll drive people away, being that opinionated”. What can she say? She’s a product of her own upbringing.
Just like everybody else, she told herself.
It wasn’t like she was docile; she wasn’t even close to that. It was just that her insecurities hadn’t anything to do with appearances. It was all to do with her personality and intelligence. She had been taught to be unsure of herself.
She could only suppose it was due to her own bad experiences that left her with wounds that, in her opinion, were taking too damn long to heal.
Y/N was brought back to the group by Emma poking her cheek. “Always the dreamer, aren’t ya?” Emma knew her the best; how loquacious and sassy she became once comfortable with someone.
All eyes are now on Y/N and her blushing cheeks.
Going for a small amount of wit, she shrugged. “Figured you would be too, given that those three have only been talking about YouTube as if there aren’t two confused college students sitting at the same table.”
Emma, Ethan and Grayson stopped to look at each other, Grayson arching his eyebrow. She couldn’t tell if it was out of offense or surprise. Oh god, Y/N thought, did I go too far with that one?
Right before Y/N could apologize, the quarter started chuckling. Emma’s chuckle turned into a laugh, Ethan shook his head as a grin formed on his face and Grayson remained surprised, chest moving from the soft laughs escaping him.
After a couple of seconds, Grayson was the first to respond. “First, we find out that you actually can speak, and then that you’ve got an attitude?”
Y/N’s blush darkened as she tried to find something else to say. Something about his tone of voice made her want to melt onto the floor. She felt flutters in her stomach, figuring it was the butterflies. Damn crushes to hell, she thought.
But she already opened her mouth. There was no going back now. Fuck it.
Lifting her chin from her palm, she leaned back in her seat, intertwining her fingers together and resting them on the table (which she absolutely did not learn from reading an article online titled ‘Appearing Calm When the Attention is on You’).
Y/N cleared her throat tried to rid herself of her deer-in-headlights look. “I also find joy in leaving the forthcoming speechless, and you haven’t stopped talking all night. Anything else you want to know about me?”
Taken aback by her own boldness, she wondered if she had drunk way too much, or if this was the result of feeling bottled up for too long. For one night, Y/N wanted to not have to worry about pleasantries. For one night, Y/N wanted to say what she really felt without thinking about what others told her in the past. For one night, she wanted to be considered boisterous and be okay with it.
Both Y/N and Grayson were now looking at each other, waiting for the other to make their move. Sensing the tension, Morgan and Emma announced they went to the washroom and Ethan decided to go buy another drink.
“I always wondered why you were so shy,” Grayson started. “Began to wonder if it was just me.”
God, he had no idea how nervous he made Y/N. He made her want to be more expressive – get her to tuck her stoicism into her back pocket. He was the type of guy that she wanted to feel safe with despite her own insecurities.
Maybe it was the alcohol, but Y/N’s sarcasm really began to shine through. “God, Gray. Not everything is about you.” She chuckled at the end of her sentence, indicating to Gray that she was, in fact, joking.
“To answer your question,” Y/N continued. “I suppose I didn’t always feel like I needed to add anything into the conversation.” That may have been a stretch of the truth. She did want to be loud and opinionated. She wanted to be the type of girl that guys were intimidated by, in a good way.
“Maybe now I want to hear what you have to say,” Grayson leant forward, propping his elbows and intertwining his hands together. “You’re in college still, right? How’s that going?”
“I guess you could say it’s the same old considering that the education system on all levels hasn’t changed at all in at least 100 years,” Y/N stopped herself before she could go too far. “Although that’s a whole can of worms that may leave us here for at least a couple of hours if opened.”
“Somehow that doesn’t seem that bad at all. I want to know what your opinions are on that.”
Y/N was taken aback by his sudden interest, just as much as Grayson was by her sudden forwardness. It was definitely the alcohol.
“I just find it funny that throughout my entire academic career, teachers have been taught to shove information down our throats without even bothering to teach us how to learn,” Y/N paused to take another sip of the drink in front of her, focusing on how his eyebrows furrowed at her statement; he was processing it. “Teaching us our learning types and providing tests no different from the ones in all our other classes to identify our own, and then not giving us the resources to use that information to our advantages. I don’t even think I could articulate how much better I could have done in school if they had made the effort into making things more interactive.”
“For example, out of the past 15 years of me being in school including my time in university, I can count on one hand how many teachers that have had actually put in the effort to do things differently.”
Grayson quickly interjected, his interests peaking. “So, you’re saying it’s the teachers’ faults?”
“Not necessarily. Maybe if they were actually given a livable salary, they would have motivation to do so. We’re all doing the best with what we’ve got, and teachers and students share the short end of the stick.”
“I’ll be honest,” Grayson cleared his throat. “I’m not too sure what I can contribute here.”
“That’ll hardly be necessary,” Y/N shook her head. “You’ve got me started and I still have a lot to say.”
Grayson let out a laugh, finding her bluntness refreshing.
“Besides,” she continued her rant. “I think it’s a little messed up how we go to an institution of learning for several hours a day and go home having to teach ourselves the material. The small number of teachers that I mentioned went above and beyond in their teaching. They created games to instill the information into us. They got everybody moving. The class didn’t include your typical ‘sit down and shut up’ kinds of lessons; it was a conversation. If you asked a question and still didn’t understand the clarification, the teacher understood that it would be best to take a different approach. They didn’t make you feel inadequate or stupid just because you didn’t understand it the way they did.”
“They understood that learning was done through making mistakes, and that understanding isn’t measured through the ability to recite bodies of text. It’s, in my opinion, how well you can apply that information to the current reality and your own experiences.” Y/N leant back in her seat once again. “It’s about using the tangible as reinforcement.”
Grayson was left speechless. He was left wanting more – he wanted to pull apart her mind and put it back together again. If she wasn’t beautiful before, then damn, was she stunning now. His face began heating up. He was blushing. The woman sitting across from him was making him feel like a giddy teenager all over again.
“Are you not going to call me out on how red I am right now?”
“No, because blushing isn’t necessarily indicative to attraction,” She crossed her arms – not to be confused with her being standoff-ish. It was her way of self-soothing as she began feeling uncomfortable again; she was worried she was saying too much. “It’s an involuntary reaction and can be caused by multiple different scenarios, depending on which emotions are provoked.”
That’s where the banter started.
“Some would say that you’re a know-it-all.” Grayson’s grin grew. The way his interest towards her grew every second never seized to astonish him.
“Some would say that I’m an ‘insufferable know-it-all’.”
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but did you just quote Snape from Harry Potter?”
Y/N let out a genuine, loud laugh. “It’s reassuring knowing that you’re not completely un-cultured.”
“I’m guessing since you’ve decided to quote Snape’s reaction to Hermione always having an answer to everything, that you see a bit of yourself in her?”
“Depends if you see reading books as a defining personality trait.” Y/N quipped.
Grayson soon swallowed his pride. This girl has a smart-ass response to everything – and he would be lying if he said he didn’t love it. “You want to maybe get out of here and go somewhere quieter?”
Y/N nodded enthusiastically, grinning as she collected her things and put on her jacket.
She never thought she’d see the day where a) she would allow someone to peel back her layers in such a small period of time and b) she would thank alcohol for making it possible.

20 lessons I’ve learned before turning 20
According to my birth certificate, I’m turning 20 this year. Although some of the people I know would argue that I’m still five in my heart and others say I’m mature beyond my years. Who knows how old I really should be? Throughout the two decades, I’ve learned some very important things. These are far from all the things I need to know about life. When it comes to knowing how to do this very complicated task called living, I’m still a child that’s trying to walk and falling all over the place. And that’s okay. You live to learn, and you learn to live.
LESSON ONE: You more than likely won’t ever have everything figured out and it’s okay to not know. It’s okay to ask for help and there are no such things as stupid questions. You don’t need to be a know-it-all by 20, 30, 57, you don’t have to know (or pretend to know) everything even when you’re 80.
LESSON TWO: If you want a relationship…stop looking for a relationship. I know, I know. Sounds condescending. Throughout my teenage years I’ve had 10+ crushes and none of them turned into a relationship. The second I stopped trying, well, you all know what happened. That being said…
LESSON THREE: It is perfectly normal and okay to date or crush around when you’re a teenager. You don’t need to if you don’t want to, and I advise that you don’t deliberately try to, but it’s okay to have a new crush every two months. You are a teenager. Your hormones are complete and utter whack. You do you, boo, nobody can judge you.
LESSON FOUR: Not everyone is going to love you or even like you, no matter what you do. That is okay. It’s not your fault and you shouldn’t beat yourself up over it.
LESSON FIVE: It is never, NEVER too late to start doing something. I typed this lesson idea...at a gym. Yup. Finally decided to get my shit together, after 11 years of being as chubby as a teddy bear and only after my hip started screaming at me for not doing anything to keep fit. That brings me to…
LESSON SIX: It does not matter how skinny or chubby or whatever you are. Beauty is superficial. You can paint a new face on in an hour if you don’t like your current one. You can’t paint on a good personality though. Be good, damn it.
LESSON SEVEN: All that being said, don’t ever change anything about yourself because someone else told you to. The only person that has been and will always be with you is you. People change, love fades, friends leave. A troll on the internet told you to lose 10 kilos? You will more than likely never meet them again. Does it still seem relevant? Do it for yourself, not for a „shit, you got hot“. Or, better yet, say it to yourself. Every day. Because you are bomb af and I don’t give a shit what anyone else has to say.
LESSON EIGHT: You CAN love your studies. That’s right. You can love learning. All you have to do is do what YOU want to do. Not what mommy, daddy, granny said. I still get remarks about how I might not be able to do my job to the fullest because I can’t walk very long distances. Guess what, I’m still in university for journalism studies and nobody can’t force me to leave, even if they try. Because I want it. Because I chose to do it.
LESSON NINE: You. Can. Do. ANYTHING. I was never supposed to walk and guess what, look at me now. I couldn’t do math for sh*t, I despised it with all my heart and I still passed my math exam. I thought that I would never see Taylor Swift in real life. I. DID. And there are so many things that maybe I don’t think I could ever do as of right now, that I will do in five, ten, twenty years. Only because I don’t think about them as something I would even attempt yet.
LESSON TEN: What is meant to happen, will happen. Destiny is real. Yeah, we make the choices that we make, so you could say that our destiny is in our own hands, but I personally have encountered a very specific case of choice making that makes sense only in the long run. When you look at the specific choices that this person made separately and the circumstances of it all, it makes little to no sense. But now when I look back, I realize that it was all supposed to happen. Don’t kill your braincells over that failed math test (see, it haunts me, I have nightmares), it will be fine. Relax. Breathe. You’ll come out through the other side, most likely undamaged.
LESSON ELEVEN: Your hobbies matter. Your interests are not stupid. If it makes you happy and it does no harm to other people, do it. I had a dream for 10 years and it came true a year ago ONLY because I stuck with this curly headed blonde with a guitar for the last decade. I happy cried for weeks leading up to and after that one. I found friends for life because of fandoms and I love it. There’s a chance of me working as an entertainment journalist, all because I love concerts so damn much.
LESSON TWELVE: Stand for what you believe in. Always. If we all stop standing up for the minorities and unpopular opinions, many people will suffer. It is our responsibility, as people to stand up for the weaker. You have voice for a reason. Use it, speak on what you care about. The worst that could happen is people disagreeing with you. After all, those that disagree and have their arguments, lead to a discussion and discussions are good and those who just yell for the sake of being loud…do they really matter?
LESSON THIRTEEN: This is a really big one. You live once. So live the only life that you’re given to the fullest and you better have something to tell your grandchildren. I pretty much broke the door of Siemens arena trying to get front row at the Bastille gig when I was 16 years old and I don’t regret it. My idol drove me home from his own concert, ONLY because of a joke that one of my friends that was there spoke with her own mouth. I got to see the reality of one of the biggest star’s in Lithuania job and hear an unreleased track that later became a huge hit only because we went ahead and did something absolutely psychotic. I packed my bags and flew to London two days after my last exam just because there could’ve never been another chance. I grabbed the last ticket to a gig in the ENTIRE STADIUM only because I decided that I want it. Do it. Just make sure it’s legal so you don’t get in actual trouble.
LESSON FOURTEEN: You will have to kiss a lot of frogs before you know who your real friends are. Things and people change over time, you may become distant with someone you never thought you’d become distant with. Yeah, you thought you’d be friends forever, I get it. I know it’s hard to grasp. But honey, life happens and that’s okay. Someone you loved with all of your heart may do you so dirty that you’ll never want to see them again. You have every right to do so.
LESSON FIFTEEN: Your views will change over time. Be it political stance, ethical shift, anything. As long as that change happens based on research, learning and growth, I see it as something that should be encouraged and celebrated. Do your research. Educate yourself. Learn something new every day.
LESSON SIXTEEN: Be interested in politics. Vote. You’ll more than likely will live in a country you’re in at least for the next few years. I say, the future should be important to every citizen of every country. Put your input into saving the planet. If you have kids someday, they will live in the world we create now.
LESSON SEVENTEEN: Resist the urge to fight hate with hate. You will not always agree with people. People will not always agree with you. That doesn’t mean you should fight with someone who is hating on something you believe in. They will learn someday, if they want to learn. The truth is, they most likely don’t, and you trying to school them wont really change much.
LESSON EIGHTEEN: Dream! Dream huge, dream impossible. Have ambitions larger than life itself. And never, you hear me, never let other people’s opinions knock you down. If you work hard enough, you can achieve anything you want, regardless of what anyone else has to say (refer to lesson number nine). That being said, see you at BBC World in 15 years. Or if I stay here, LRT. We’ll see, I don’t know that much about my future yet. The only thing I know is that nothing can stop me from going hard or going home.
LESSON NINETEEN: You do not have to fit into a mold. You are human, not a piece of clay. You like Disney? Cool! K-pop? Great! You’re a metalhead and you would dress all black in the summer if you had enough of black clothes? Awesome! What if you are all of those things and also a feminist animal right activist who loves pop music and writing? Congratulations, you are just like me. Let’s be friends and leave people confizzled together.
LESSON TWENTY: You are NEVER too old for Disney. That’s it. That’s the lesson. You are never too old for some Disney magic. Here, let me sprinkle some pixie dust on you. Done. You will now have a great day.
P.S. An additional lesson: never, I repeat, NEVER trust @taylorswift. She is always on to something.

Let's talk about Hilda's dad
As you've seen from my latest posts. I've made stuff concerning Hilda's dad and I've mentioned him before. But now I'm speaking more about him. Especially after finding out he does exist in canon.
Many minutes ago or so I got a message from someone by the name of @smol-maru55 who I was nervous to speak to because I worried I might of bothered people with my posts. But Smol was very polite and actually offered me information that literally Luke Pearson himself answered in a review. I thank Smol for sharing me this because this changes quite some stuff.
Especially what's amazing this was before the show aired on Netflix. Including I think this is where the wiki on the show got this information. Luke talks about other stuff but he talk about Hilda's dad. If you guys don't mind I'm gonna share what he said. But I'm gonna keep the link to the interview to show where it came from. Especially he said other other interesting things too.
Luke Pearson: "There are too many stories about absent/crappy fathers turning a new leaf and showing everyone that they were always a good guy really. It's not something I'm interested in getting into. Hilda's dad's never been there for her, and his absence doesn't define her or her mum in any way, so I don't see him as an important character. I may touch on what his deal is eventually, but he's not going to get to swoop in and take up a lot of panel space."
That's what the main man himself said. Including like I said it changes my mind on some things. But I understand where he's coming from.
Related to the topic and I have spoke of this before. I do have head canon on Hilda's dad and it was around the early days of when I was in the fandom and they still are relevant.
Basically I had this idea for why Hilda's dad wasn't around was because of some reasons. Yet it's honestly like I joked about what the fandom would think would be quite depressing. Even for a show like Hilda. While it has it's serious moments. This would of been a bit much.
The idea I had for Hilda's dad is at first he did love his family, he loved Johanna, and he loves Hilda. But over time as Hilda grew up and became more adventurous, something changed.
Hilda's dad never liked the supernatural and how it was so normalized it was. Especially his daughter was embracing it and her attitude actually annoyed him. You have things like Twig living with them, Woodman visiting without permission. Including other things out there.
So I decided I guess at a point and reading a Johanna X Reader story(Yeah I'm saying that I'm not saying where) featured Hilda's dad and he left the family when Hilda was 5.
Basically he left her at a young age, told Johanna he just couldn't handle the stuff that was going on. He wanted a normal life. The guy left to go somewhere else most likely join the military. Which was something I wonder if I should make a thing but it's official I put him as a SAS which is kind of ridiculous.
He literally left because he didn't wanna deal with Hilda's adventurous attitude and other things. Which kind of says something....if the guy can handle one of the most harsh training for one of the toughest special forces in history, and he passes with flying colors....
But he can't handle Woodman and he almost tries to kill him with an axe. Which I joked about with @simonxriley that Hilda's dad wanted to kill Woodman at one point but Johanna got to stop him(because she even knows that's wrong and Hilda wouldn't want that). Especially it didn't phase Woodman and that freaked Hilda's dad out. Also Hilda found out later when Johanna told her.
The story for him I had was he would go to Trolberg after Woodman told him what happened. He visits them and it be this arc of how he wants to do better and be with his family again because he realized he was selfish. But it doesn't go that Luke talks about. This is part of the depressing part.
So the idea of the story of Hilda's dad trying to get together with his family is showcasing after years without them. He tried change but he can't. Because he thought everything would of been normal now in a city but Hilda didn't change and it's some what worse in Trolberg when he finds out the adventures Hilda has been in.
Especially Hilda's dad revealing to Hilda he actually left because of her. Because he didn't want a daughter who embraced the supernatural and all that around her. He has this prejudice against that stuff because it bothers him.
With the lesson being sometimes dad's aren't always as they seem. Even after they left they sometimes won't change and you have to move on from them. Because if they can't change why should you have them back in your life if they won't change for the better.
Basically with Hilda doubting herself that her own father abandoned her because of her personalities. But because of her friends and Johanna she learns it's okay and it's her dad's fault.
Hilda's dad was supposed to be an antagonist in a way. But not a villain despite he's a SAS ex one or not that's scary. He's a guy who can't mature and change, and just appreciate his daughter of who she is.
I wanna make this clear not every dad is shitty, their have been bad ones. But not every dad is bad I want to be clear on that. It was the concept of Hilda and Johanna moving on from him because he couldn't mature and be at peace with everyone. Especially how his daughter grew up.
Thinking in the end he just leaves, tells them goodbye and realizes this never worked. But seriously that sounds depressing like maybe that he does love them but he can't handle it, yet he can handle being an SAS.
Honestly thinking on this I definitely see why Luke didn't wanna do something like this. Even with my intentions being a different outcome. It's just a bit much unless the show takes on more serious subjects if Luke wants to or not.
In fact I even predict and think I could of made something like a reaction to Hilda's dad is that everyone if you love Johanna, if you ship Johanna X The Librarian, or if you love the show a whole lot and every character. The whole fandom just bands together to hate Hilda's dad because why the hell would you abandonded her own daughter because she loves flying on Woff's and she loves wilderness and everything it has to offer? Hilda is literally the best thing ever and a child that's a blessing.
I do think or yeah I remember. Their was an idea I had for an extra character. A younger male who would be a babysitter if Johanna wasn't around, and has a crush on Johanna and it's sort of like a child having a crush on a teenager at first. But basically it turns out that babysitter this guy that really cares for Hilda and her friends is basically the dad she always wanted and the kind of man Johanna always wanted because he actually cares despite he's weird, he tries his hardest.
I'm sorry for rambling, but again I totally get Luke on why he doesn't on go into detail of Hilda's dad. Especially the fact he admits it never had such a huge affect on Hilda and Johanna's life and they aren't defined by it. God I love he actually said mum but he is British.
Still would of been funny if well I originally wanted Craig Fairbrass as Hilda's dad but I want Kit Harington now so I can see all the stupid but funny headlines of how Jon Snow is in Hilda and people getting into the show and I'm like, "Me and a whole bunch of other fans were here first" it be this funny thing.
Also the younger babysitter guy would be voiced by Tom Holland or KJ Apa.
Really I would like to hear what was Hilda's dad's deal of why he's not with his family anymore. It's probably not gonna be like this but I keep thinking he and Johanna weren't a good match and he's actually a good guy. But still that's the thing Luke doesn't like.
I want him to be a good guy now voiced by Kit Harington because my God if a character like that existed on Hilda, he would probably be the worst character because he's more of a selfish jerk than other jerks like Trevor or the Marra. Especially Trevor is just a kid but still though, hope he develops in season 2. Especially the Marra are the Marra, their jerks, but they just want to cause nightmares for folks. Even though Kelly seemed to be alright because Frida showing some kindness towards her after giving Kelly her bunny back. Which might of well not fully changed but had Kelly appreciate Frida more.
Also Victoria Van Gale just kidnapped a baby weather spirit which was shitty. But considering her place was destroyed. She probably learned her lesson.
An asshole dad who left his daughter because he didn't like how she was is a bit too much even for me or....something.
Anyway I wanted to share that. I'm sorry this got long and me rambling.

In regards to your post.
Alright, so I'm gonna approach this paragraph by paragraph because I have a lot of thoughts and feelings on everything you wrote and I want to be clear in all that I say.
So, you've been diagnosed with anxiety. I also have anxiety, but I hadn't really come to understand that that was what it was until I was in my late teens. 16 was a hard age for  me because that's when my depression and anxiety really started messing with me. I've always had social anxiety, but as I've gotten older, it's gotten easier to manage in most social situations. Because of it, I avoided doing lots of things. It influenced and affected most parts of my life. Everyone copes differently and the thing with anxiety is that it isn't rational. It's a flight or fight response that the brain has to seemingly small things. It isn't your fault, there is nothing you could have done to avoid having it. Sometimes, it manifests in different ways, even. There are a great deal of people out there who have anxiety and OCD or just one or the other.
Anxiety has a lot to do with sensitivity to stimulation. I get easily over-stimulated which is why the profession I was in, I finally had to leave. There were other reasons than that, but that was becoming worse for me. Along with anxiety, you have to think of the persons temperament. What kind of person are you? The thing that helps to define that somewhat is also what you've been through. If you've been through trauma or abuse, that will also affect how strong your anxiety is. You may also have PTSD and triggers. I don't believe i have PTSD, I'm not really sure, but because of the sexual abuse and other forms of abuse that I have been through, I have triggers. There are things people say, do or ways they look at me even that can send me into an anxiety attack. Sometimes, I'm completely fine and nothing happened and my mind cycles through all of the horrible stuff I've said, done and the things people have said and done to me. This, in addition with my Depression helps me to repeat a seemingly never-ending cycle of self abuse in some form. I berate myself and I'm angry with myself and I basically tear myself apart. I'm an ex-cutter and I don't do that anymore, but because of my mental illnesses, the urge is always there. Luckily, I have self-care and healthy coping mechanisms to keep me from cutting.
When you become a teenager, a lot happens. Your whole world changes. You've got all of these changes going on in your body as well as socially and culturally. I am Spanish and you are Vietnamese so, I know there are a lot of cultural similarities we share in the way we are expected to act and be, do, dress, love, live, etc. You're also biologically female. That plays a HUGE part in our cultures. I get it 100%. You're at this critical stage in your life where you don't know who you are and who you're supposed to be. It happens a few more times in your life, trust me. You will be Okay. You will overcome this. It's hard to figure out who you are. At 14 especially. You have to hold yourself above others when it comes to that. Yes, they can affect your life, they can tear you apart and make everything difficult, but YOU have the power. It's hard to feel that way when you feel worthless, invaluable, and like your life has no meaning.
You have value. You have meaning. You are worthy of everything your heart and soul and mind desire. The most important relationship you should cultivate and spend your whole life cultivating is the one with yourself. That's easier said than done. I'm 29 and I'm still working on it. It's important to remember and know that Happiness comes from within. You can't control other's opinions, reactions or emotions, but you can control how you feel and how you react. What THEY think of you is not a reflection of who you are. It actually says more about THEIR character than yours. It's normal for friends to come and go. It's not okay for you to be picked on or bullied. I was also picked on and while I wasn't physically bullied, I was bullied in every other way. Because of this, I became stronger. I still break and I still feel weak and insecure, but I'm tougher because I had to learn through many painful lessons and situations in my life that only I can control my happiness and my worth is not based on someone else's opinion, want or need of me. You deserve true friends. Hold yourself in high regard, even if it means you're alone for a long time. The reason I say this is because the world, culture, society, "friends" and even some family may try to take what makes you YOU away from you because they want it to fit into their neat little box. Sometimes they are hateful and full of pain and this can be due to what THEY have been through or how they were raised. I'm not saying it's right, but it's more than likely, the truth. Honey, it isn't your fault that you have mental illnesses. There are tips and things you can do to help you live with it. But don't EVER let someone tell you that what you're feeling is stupid, that you're worthless or that what you're feeling isn't real. It is VALID and it is REAL no matter what people say. Be tender with yourself. You're a flower trying to grow and love for yourself will help with that.
Don't hang around anyone that is going to be negative towards you and bring you down (if you can help it. I know you're still a teen and probably don't have very many options to get out or away from those people). Taking the high road is important but so is sticking up for yourself. You don't have to explain who you are to anyone. And no one is worthy of your or entitled to you just because they want you or may even say that they "need" you. Don't ever fall for that. Remember, the only one who can heal you and fix you and make you happy is yourself. Others can help with that, but ultimately, you have to do the work. It won't be easy and it will take your whole life, but I believe in you and I know you can do it. I'm right here if you ever need help or advice or just an ear.
Growing up, I got hit a lot. We still joke about it, my friends and acquaintances, because honestly, how messed up is it that beating your child has become a joke? I'm used to it. It's just how my life was. I intend to raise my child differently, but I also take into account that it's how my mom was raised. I mean the stuff she went through for discipline WAS abuse and she did a lot of damage to me because of the emotional and mental abuse she put me through. She has PTSD and Depression and Anxiety so I always try to take those things into account. But, as a teen, I took everything personal. She even called me worthless multiple times saying that if I didn't know how to cook, what man would ever want me? That seriously messed with me for a long time. I still love her and I always will, but because of some of the stuff she's said and done to me in the past, I will always have triggers and issues with certain things. I'm currently working on it as I always am, but it's hard to weed through all of the things that have factored the outcome of who I am every day. I know my worth now. I know what I deserve, what I'll tolerate and won't tolerate, what red flags are and so on.
Relationships of any kind can be hard. Just make sure that it's a healthy one. When you're young and it's long distance, it can be even harder. It is not impossible, it's just challenging. A lot of people will tell you it won't turn out well and it CAN'T turn out well, but don't listen to them. At the end of the day, you have to do what's right for you. Being who you are is important for YOU, no one else. Your life will never be dependent on someone else loving you or not because they can't, as I said earlier, fix you. They can help, but you have to do the work yourself. Always. Relationships should enhance who you are, not make up who you are. They should always be complimentary not supplementary. It isn't good to depend on someone else for your happiness because A) it isn't fair to them and B) you are in charge of it.
I believe that your mom sincerely DOES want the best for you. I don't know her, but most moms tend to want the best for their child. However, there are probably instances in which you have gone through abuse. Beating you with various household objects is abusive. My mom has hit me with multiple things too. It's cultural. It's whatever they can find. It should only be the hand you are hit with in specific areas if you are being DISCIPLINED but, most of the time, people hit as hard as they want with whatever they can wherever on your body it's going to hurt the most. I've been hit so hard that I couldn't sit down right for a week. And that was with a leather belt. My butt was bruised and there were welts. Granted, I was being a brat and granted, I was being mean and so on, but I do believe there were other ways my mom could have approached disciplining me.
I've worked in early childhood education, which is working with babies from birth through six years of age which are considered the crucial years of development for a child. Those years help to make or break the kind of individual someone will grow up to be. There are some kids on the spectrum who may react to things differently than someone who isn't on the spectrum and this could be due to sensory issues, language barriers, abuse, etc. There are so many reasons for so many things that help to define how people turn out. To be a healthy adult, there is so much that needs to take place and happen and unfortunately, not many people have that. We are all just doing the best we can. Our parents too, are doing the best they can. Your mom was raised traditionally and there is always that pressure to be perfect, to have the perfect child, perfect grades, perfect health, perfect life, etc. It's impossible. It has always been an impossible standard that will continue to be. Being perfect isn't anything anymore. Don't worry about being perfect, worry about staying true to who you are. Don't let people silence your voice. Always be safe and always remember that anyone is capable of anything at any time. If you can cut your own hand by accident, anyone else could by accident or on purpose. It's a proverb I live by. No matter how much you trust or love someone, they can still hurt you, even if they don't mean to. Life isn't personal. It's just life.
In regards to your weight, have you been to a doctor to check for any medical issues? Is it possible for you to? You could have thyroid issues, PCOS or other issues that can make it hard for you lose weight and easy to gain it. Your body is unique. You have to learn to love it all the same. Again, that won't be easy either, for a lot of reasons. But its important to always try. Everyday, it's gotten you through anything you've thrown at it and you're STILL here. Remember this. Be grateful to your body for guaranteeing that. It does a lot for you. With your body, it could also be what you eat and it can also just be how your body is. There are a number of things with that. Also, do you have access to a doctor? If so, I think you said you're on a medication. What kind is it? Always do research on what you're putting in your body. It can have side effects and there are a few things you can do to help deal with those. Do you want to be on the medication if you are on it? And if not, there are other things you can try. I am not a licensed medical profession though, so you don't have to listen to anything I say about that. I just want you to know that people will always pressure you into things and I want you to know that you always have options.
In regards to your sexuality, it is perfectly valid and normal. It can make your life harder in a few different ways, especially depending on where you live. But, it's not something you can control. Being Bisexual or anything else in the community is something you're born as. It's not something you can control or get rid of. If you were to try, you'd be lying to yourself. When I was 14, I met my first love and it was him who asked me one day about how I feel about women in a sexual/romantic sense. I was so freaked out by the question seeing as how my dad is a homophobe and my mom wasn't super keen on the idea. I freaked out because I started thinking about it and I realized all of the moments in my life up until that point where I'd had some form of attraction to women as well as men. I had no one to turn to for references or to help me figure any of it out. I was scared of the stigma attached with it and how people would treat me because of it. I was scared of how much harder my life would be because of how people would be towards me knowing I wasn't straight. I identified as Bisexual for a few years until I found a word that suit me even more and better. I realized that I was Pansexual and have identified as such for years now. I can't control it. I have preferences, sure. But, ultimately, I can't stop being this way. I feel attraction to people of all orientations and genders, it's really just all about the person for me. Anatomy and sex organs never really mattered to me. I've always been that way, I just didn't realize that I was Pansexual until I researched the term.
Depending on your symptoms can help to determine if you do have Anxiety and Depression. I don't believe you're making it up but I know that there are a lot of factors that go into you having mental illnesses. It appears you have been through abuse and the feelings and repercussions from that are valid. It will affect how you deal with close relationships for the rest of your life. But it doesn't necessarily have to affect you in a bad way. It's something you'll have to sort through and cope with and recover from as you get older, but I know you can do it. If you are feeling these things and suffer from these symptoms, you aren't making it up. But again, if possible, I suggest you go to a health professional. I believe you are attention-seeking, but I understand why.
It's normal for someone to want attention, especially if they're being abused and going through hard stuff in their lives. You mentioned feeling worthless. That would help you want to seek attention. However, that doesn't necessarily mean you're using your illnesses to seek attention. You've got this. If you ever need help with anything or just want to talk, lemme know. I'm always here :)

Buried Under the Aching Tree Part 2/???
Summary: Ash learns about his friend’s sword, a relic passed through a million hands but never through a family. That and what it’s like to be possessed by a single feeling.
Here’s part 1: LINK
So, this became way longer than two parts and way more complicated. This one’s also way shorter than the last part cause the rise and fall fit more when I cut them up like this. Yeah, it’s going to be all moved to my writing blog too. Probably shouldn’t have left this sitting for...over a year.
Coming back from a rare fifteen minute break, Artix returned to the Amityvale Cemetery, finding it packed to the gills with necromancers.
Their hushed rabble fell silent. The few that didn’t slink behind gravestone to hide merely stared at the paladin they collectively loathed.
Artix did not sense any sort of animosity, however, reading an air of unease that felt more like he had walked in on teenagers gossiping about him.
“Hello there fellas.” Artix greeted, raising a hand. “What are you all up to?”
“Grieving,” One of the more morose figures spoke up, draped over the shoulder of a mourning hooded woman. A requirement to practice the magic of raising the dead was being dramatic after all. “We’re here to mourn our dignity.”
That was sort of cemetery business.
Artix felt like he should say something. Perhaps charge at them like the whole paladin-necromancer dynamic demanded.
It was just that, if the necromancers weren’t pacing aimlessly or crouching, they were laying on the ground, groaning. The misery was so thick, he could stick his tongue out and taste the salt.
“I’ll be, uh, right back.” Artix nodded, starting to back out of the gate. Maybe giving himself a running start would rouse them?
“No!” A bunch of them screamed, jumping to attention. One of the undead necromancers throat had blown open from the force of his shout. The necromancer who had been dangling from the statue dropped on the ground and wormed, not crawled, his way to grip Artix’ ankle. “You have to stay. Who knows what we might do? J-just stay here!”
Seeing the necromancer up close, Artix’s eyes widened in recognition.
“Oh! I remember you! From the Necropolis.”
Panicking, the necromancer buried his face into the dirt but not because of Artix.
“Hey there!”
Now that was a voice that could get his spirits up. Artix turned, smiling easily at the young up and coming hero.
“Ash, what are you doing so far from Falconreach?” The paladin asked, getting a face full of fluffy blue shiver. Startled, Artix removed the attacker by his scruff, realizing he was dangling Zorbak at arm’s length.
The fluffy necromancer said nothing. Not even a simple “meh.” Zorbak stared back at Artix, beady black eyes huge and quivering.
“I see that Zorbak was up to no good,” Artix threw out an assumption, if only to break what was beginning to be a very awkward silence. “What happened? I wouldn’t have thought you’d chase Zorbak all the way from Falconreach to here.”
What happened indeed.
There was something weird about this. Maybe it was how Ash had decided to go to Doomwood on his own when he’d usually get help. Or perhaps it had something to do with all the necromancers beginning to panic at the sight of a budding leaf of an adventurer.
Ash sure felt taller too. He hadn’t grown an inch since Artix last saw him but with a shiny silver sword he was tapping on his palm, the kid looked ten feet tall.
And that shiny silver sword was very loud.
“Oh, you know. I had this kind of thought that pumped me up the other day. I should be out there more, doing what all heroes should. Defend the innocent, eventually save a princess, and teach the bad guys a last lesson,” Ash shrugged off the sinister connotation of that last bit. “But boy am I glad to see you! I ran into all these other necromancers along the way and we can’t leave them alone, right? I put down a few but the rest ran away here! Thanks for blocking them off.”
“No problem,” Artix nodded, resting his hands on his hips with Zorbak still held firmly by the fur. He would have mistook Zorbak for an armadillo that lost its armor with how hard he curled himself into a ball. “Here, handle Zorbak for me and I’ll take care of the rest!”
“And I’ll be right behind you when I’m finished.” Ash nodded back.
“What?” Zorbak shouted just before Artix tossed the blue sphere over to Ash.
Swinging his sword so quickly that he splattered Artix’s armor, Ash cleaved the mana potion in half. The perfectly equal sides of the glass flask fell on the soft dirt. Ash gazed glumly at the leaking liquid.
“Did I just get pranked?”
“Well, I don’t feel like laughing.” Artix said, gently tossing Zorbak behind him. He scurried off, joining the other necromancers fled to into the rows of graves. Ash peeked over the paladin’s shoulder.
“Shouldn’t you be going after him?” Ash asked, brow crumpled in genuine surprise. “I thought paladins were supposed to battle the undead.”
“That’s true! I’ve been at it for a while but that doesn’t mean I can’t keep learning. Recently, I learned that instead of bashing whatever’s closest, going by priority might work better.” Artix drew his sword, leveling its point at Ash. The hurt on the his face made the paladin falter.
“But, I’m not doing anything bad!” Ash’s voice was strained, like he didn’t quite believe it himself.
“Not you. That,” Artix gestured to the sword. It looked familiar but the paladin couldn’t focus on why that was right now. “I don’t know if I’ve told you before Ash, but I can sense the presence of the dead. The voices in the skeletons cry out to be freed but that sword, it’s screaming so much, I can barely hear you,” He swallowed. “I bet you can barely hear me.”
“Then, I’ll take them away,” Ash twirled the sword, letting its whistle meld with his, or its, words. “After every single necromancer in these woods are grinded into dust, we’ll move on to the Sandsea.”
Instinctively, Artix knew how to battle every kind of undead and spirit that came his way, even when it was wearing his friend.
Especially when it was wearing his friend.
Being so new at combat, Ash projected his next action clear for Artix to see. Combined with whatever the sword possessing him was doing, one step forward had become one bound that would have crossed twenty feet.
Artix jumped in front of him, clashing swords with Ash and turned that bound into a slide that drew a deep divot in the ground.
He had caught the silver sword under his own swing, meaning to keep it down so he could headbutt Ash into a quick nap. But, the boy pushed against the deadlock with enough strength to force Artix’s ankles against the mound of dirt they had created.
Shifting his footing to keep his balance, Artix had shifted his concentration for half a second and that let Ash spin on his heel. The silver sword escaped from the deadlock, swinging around to slash at Artix’s neck.
Arching his back, Artix felt the sword nick his chin, managing to bat it away with a diagonal slice of his own blade.
That was where all technicality ended.
Ash’s new style was aggressive, slashing and stabbing with no room to cover his openings. It left Artix to throw off the wild attack, unable to strike back with every chance he got potentially being fatal for his friend.
Sidestepping the gravestones, the paladin attempted to disarm Ash, aiming for the hilt and hoping he wouldn’t take off fingers. Normally, Ash could do that to himself easy but this time, it was like his fingers had melded to the steel.
Ignoring the bruising from Artix’s sword bunting his knuckles, Ash had jabbed the silver blade into the leg of a statue.
“I knew it.” Ash panted, wrenching the sword out of the crumbling stone. Sweat was beading on the back of his neck, unused to moving this much in a fight.
To Artix’s confusion, Ash’s slumped shoulders and ragged breathing ceased. He stood to attention, tapping the silver blade on his palm again. The glint in the steel went from twinkling to thrumming with red energy.
“You’re not who I thought you were either.”
Before Artix could ask what in the world Ash was talking about, the hilt of the sword slammed into his chest. His chestplating crumpled like paper as he and Ash flew over the cemetery, creating a crater in the empty graves.
“But that’s fine,” Ash’s tone lowered to an almost easy going tone as Artix struggled to breath, pinned by the sword. Ash’s smile was deprived of the haunting malice forcing him to do this. “I know you mean well so why not stargaze for a while? I’ll take care of everything.”
Then, Artix stopped pretending to choke.
He was relieved that there was enough of Ash in there to pull his punches too.
“Same here, buddy!” Artix grinned, closing his gauntlet over the blade.
Panicking, Ash tried to tear the sword out of his grip. Artix’s hand bled but he refused to budge.
“Sure hope the rest can’t hide like you can, but starting today, you won’t be one of them!” Artix grinned at the blade biting into his palm.
A brilliant light spread from Artix’s fingers, cascading over the cursed sword until it was obscured in the blinding gleam. It shone like the sun was rising in Doomwood for the first time in centuries.
“How come you don’t recognize me?” Ash asked.
The light went out, swallowed by the sword and the cemetery was darker than when it had first arrived. Artix gaped at the etchings on the short sword; one he’d handled months ago.
“Typical.” Ash clicked his tongue in a way that was so alien to his personality, it threw Artix for a frozen loop.
“That’s not his fault! A lot of swords come his way!” Ash argued with himself. “Alright then, if you say so.”
“Ash?” Artix coughed, far more alarmed at the one-man conversation than at the blue pool opening under his back.
At the lip of the crater, Zorbak and a couple of the cowering necromancers had gathered to send this problem to someone else.
“Definitely a problem, meh,” Zorbak scratched his ear with his staff. “A different blue mage should be able to take care of this.” His staff and the staves of the other necromancers shone.
“Good luck, Fartix!” A necromancer sent the pair off with a sneer. The graves opened and plunged Artix and Ash into a sea of trees.
Pushing off of Artix, Ash dove into the woods, expertly cutting and batting away the branches with skills that didn’t belong to him. The Paladin went after his possessed friend, following the path that had opened and slowing the fall as much as he could by dragging his blade over the bark of the nearest tree.
Landing, Artix rolled to prevent his kneecaps from shooting out of his legs. He managed to come to a stop on his back on a bed of mushrooms, surviving the fall with what was likely two sprained ankles. An honest miracle.
Standing above him, Nythera quietly hid the basket of reagents she wasn’t supposed to have behind her. Looking between Artix and Ash, who stepped into their clearing completely unharmed, Nythera’s lips twisted into an accusing pout.
“I’m not breaking curfew, you are.”

LawLicht Week Day 5:
“Hyde, I will be busy giving the angel in training some piano lessons, so make sure you don't bother us.”
“Sure thing angel-chan. I'll behave.”
The dark haired teen narrowed his eyes even more than normal, if possible, as if he didn't believe his partner for a second. But in the end, all he said was “You better.” and then walked away.
Of course, Hyde would try to behave, but there was no guarantee. He wasn't one to follow the rules. It was in his name after, Lawless, to be without law. So if he wanted to go interrupt Mahiru and Licht while they were playing the piano, then he would.
However, he didn't want to upset Licht. Perhaps he would go out there to check on them under the guise of being out there to get a drink. Yes, that could work.
Deciding to give them 10 minutes, before he barged out there, Hyde laid back on the bed, contemplating his plan of action. I can't continuously go out there for a drink, Licht will know what I'm doing. Maybe for a snack later, and while I'm out getting a snack, I can lay something down and go back out even later saying that I'm looking for it. Yeah, yeah that's good.
After the 10 minutes were up, the vampire stood and bounded out of the room, and headed toward the kitchen. The first thing he noticed when he walked through the main room to get to the kitchen, was how close the two males were sitting.
They were pressed shoulder to shoulder, as Licht pointed at things and explained what they were. And Hyde did not like it. He couldn't fault the teen on it though, so he just took a deep breathe, sighed it out, and went on to get his beverage.
As soon as he heard the footsteps getting further, Licht threw a glare over his shoulder. He wasn't sure what the hedgehog was up to, but knowing Hyde, it couldn't be anything good. The young pianist shook his head and turned his attention back to the brunet beside him.
“Okay, now, do I need to teach you what the bars mean?”
The immortal being spent a good long while in the kitchen, making his double espresso as slowly as possible, just to give himself an excuse to be shamelessly watching his lover through the doorway.
It was ridiculous that Hyde could get so upset over this. It's not like Mahiru was going to take Licht from him. Mahiru didn't even like Licht that much. And besides, Mahiru was dating his older Kuro. And the two seemed more than happy together. So this whole thing was just insane.
But he couldn't help it. He didn't like how close they were, or how Licht was giving the other boy his undivided attention. All because he was this ‘angel in training’. What if Hyde said he wanted Licht to teach him the piano? Would Licht act like this with him? Would he even agree to it?
Briefly, he considered storming out there and insisting that he wanted piano lessons too, and that Licht should teach them both at the same time. But that would only result in him getting yelled at and kicked around for interrupting.
Another loud sigh, escaped his lips as he grabbed his favorite drink, and headed back to his room. Completely unaware of the fact that his Eve had heard him sighing twice, and was starting to get irritated.
------------------------------------------------------------
After having finished his drink and waiting half an hour in his room on his phone, the blond decided that it was time to check in on them once more.
He quickly padded his way back out to the kitchen and made himself a ham and cheese sandwich, all the while keeping a keen eye on his lover's back. Dismissively, he placed his phone on the countertop, so he would have an excuse to come back out here later, as Licht never told him how long the two would be at it.
Once his sandwich was done, he walked over to the door frame to lean on it and eat his sandwich, what he saw, almost made him drop the food all together, plate and everything. instead he settled for nearly ripping his hair out with his free hand.
Licht was sitting behind the younger Eve, hands on top of his as he guided him through the motions of a beginner's song called “when the saints go marching in”. His chest was pressed to the other boy’s back! That was entirely too close! Was he TRYING to make him mad?!
No, no. Licht wouldn't do that. He takes his music very seriously. And he has never had many friends, so he probably just doesn't see a problem with this. Yeah, yeah that's all it is. He probably just told Mahiru there was an easier way to show him how to play and the darn simple loving kid probably agreed. Nothing bad is happening. I'm just overreacting.
The oldest male in the room, took another deep inhale of oxygen and released it in a long, grounding exhale. He then ate his sandwich in silence, watching the two teenagers like a hawk. He suddenly felt less like a boyfriend, and more like an overprotective father who would make excuses to check on his daughter whenever she had a boy over to study.
Shortly after this revelation, the sandwich was gone, and Hyde had wandered back to his room once more.
“Umm, Licht-san, is me being here bad? Lawless seems a bit on edge.”
“No, just ignore him. He's just being a brat. If we ignore him for long enough, he may just give up and stay in there.”
----------------------------------------------------------
I'm just being paranoid. There is no reason to be upset. But, I mean, how much worse could this get?! They're already pressed as closely together as two people can be! There is no way for this to go any further south. It's fine. I'm fine. Licht and I are fine.
The red eyed immortal took a few more calming breaths and gave the two other males a few minutes reprieve, before he stalked back out to grab his phone.
That, was it. He was going to explode! Rationality be damned! Licht was now, not only sitting with the boy pressed against his chest, but he was being way too nice to the kid now too!
“That's right. Good job angel in training, you only messed up 3 notes that time.” Spoke the tutor as he patted the boy on the head.
“Ah, thanks Licht-san. I couldn't do it without you though!” Said the student as he turned and gave the older boy a bright smile. To which, the teacher gave a very slight upturn of the lip back.
Arrgghh!!! That's it!!! I can't take it anymore! I have to say something!
Just as he was about to March over and give the two a piece of his mind, there was a soft, lazy knock on the door that the two in the main room didn't seem to hear. Giving an intentionally loud and aggravated sigh, the Servamp walked over and yanked the door open, only to be met with a black cat pushing his way inside. Once inside, he shut the door and changed back.
“I'm here to pick up Mahiru. I woke up to find I was home alone and saw a note that said he would be here with the violent angel.”
“Ah, nii-san. Thank goodness! You won't believe how out Eve’s are acting! It's shameful!”
Kuro tilted his head and lazily meandered his way into the main room, Lawless trailing after him.
The two Eve’s were still seated in the position that Hyde had found them in earlier. And while it infuriated him, his brother didn't seem to care at all. He just blinked. As if this didn't matter!
“See?! Look at them! They're dating us and yet they look like they're dating each other right now!”
“So? Just cuz they're sitting like that, doesn't mean anything is going on. Mahiru is too innocent for that. They're just friends Hyde. Besides,” He said as a loving smile took its place on his lips. “I trust him. And I know he would never betray me.”
“You really have that much faith in him? You trust him that much? You don't think, for even a second, that he won't turn around marry someone else all of a sudden for some stupid reason?!”
“I do. With my life. And no, he would never do that to me. Mahiru’s not that kind of guy. And Licht's not either. If he didn't want to be with you, he would tell you upfront. So relax a bit. Hey, Mahiru.”
Upon hearing the bored drawl of his boyfriend, Mahiru's head spun around and a huge sunny smile shot across his face.
“Kuro! You came to get me!” Exclaimed the brunet, as he shot up and raced over to throw himself into the bluenette’s arms.
“Yeah, I woke up alone and without breakfast. And we're out of instant ramen. So I had to come get you so you could feed me.”
“Ugh! Kuro!” He gave the Servamp a light punch in the shoulder, causing a lazy smirk to appear on the taller male’s face.
“I’ve gotta go now Licht-san, but thank you so much for today. I had a lot of fun, and I really learned a lot. Bye!”
And with that the Sloth pair left, a black cat on the brunet’s shoulder, nuzzling against his neck. As soon as the door shut, all hell broke loose.
“What the hell was that?!”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“You two were all over each other! And he said he had ‘fun’ and he ‘learned a lot’ what exactly was happening out here?!”
The dark haired male stood, faced his boyfriend, and crossed his arms.
“Hmph, you should know shit rat, you've been out here plenty, and you have eyes. You should be able to tell. What was the excuse this time?”
“W-what?”
“The bathroom? Or were you just winging it? Decided you’d come out here without an excuse, huh?”
“I-I left my phone in the kitchen while I was making my sandwich…”
The boy scoffed. “Intentionally, I bet.”
He couldn’t come up with a rebuttal, he had him there.
“Look shit rat, you can either cut the crap and just tell me what's going on with you, or we can drop this whole charade all together and you will get no answer.”
The vampire bit his lip. He usually didn't mind whenever Licht won one of their spats, but this time it really bothered him how easily the boy had cornered him and turned this whole thing around on him.
“Fine! I'm jealous okay?! You're my boyfriend and yet you were all close and touchy and nice to my brother's Eve!” For some unknown reason, Licht smirked.
“Oh? I thought you liked a challenge rat. You've never complained before about me not being nice to you. And you say you're upset that I was spending all that time being close to Mahiru, and yet you're not even the Servamp of Envy. You are Greed.”
“Sh-shut up! It's just, it makes me think that, sometimes, you actually don't like me. And I'm entitled to feel jealous! It's part of being greedy! I see something and I want it! And I wanted you attention! So there!”
Suddenly, Licht lowered his arms, his face carrying a serious look, smirk gone, and walked toward Hyde. The blond thought that perhaps he had struck a nerve and they were going to actually fight. But instead, the teen reached out and yanked on his tie. Pulling him forward and smashing their lips together.
His first reaction was to blink owlishly, as he wasn't entirely sure what was happening or what to do. But shortly after, he melted, allowing himself to hum in enjoyment. Not even a second later, the angel pulled back, smirk instantly returning. Hyde blushed.
“I know Hyde. I knew the whole time that you were jealous, it was a bit unwarranted, but you are entitled to feel whatever you want. I just wanted you to admit to it and realize that it's not a bad thing to fess up to it. Now, do you still think I hate you even though I'm dating you? Or are you done being stupid?”
“N-no, not really. You wouldn't have kissed me like that if you hated me. W-wait a minute! You knew?! So you WERE doing all that on purpose! That's so mean Lich-tan! I can't believe you!” He whined.
Licht rolled his eyes, stuffing his hands in his pockets, clearly done with this whole conversation. Honestly, it was a miracle he hadn't kicked him yet. “Stupid rat, don't accuse an angel of something so evil.”
“But you're not denying it! Lich-tannnnn. How could you! And I was so good too! I didn't interrupt you once. Don't I get some kind of reward?” The pianist turned away, walking off to the bedroom, scoffing as he did so.
“Yeah right, if that's what you call good, then it's no wonder you're a demon. You were practically breathing down our necks the whole time. Checking in like an overprotective father. Or, an incredibly jealous boyfriend.”
For a second, Hyde could have sworn that was mirth he heard in the teen’s voice. Rushing after him, he called him out on it.
“You're enjoying this aren't you? Are you sure you're not the demon in this relationship angel-chan? You are so mean!”
As soon as he finished his sentence, the teen stopped dead in his tracks and turned a fire filled glare on his blond lover.
“How dare you. And after I kissed you like that to make you feel better. You can consider that kiss your compensation for being jealous all afternoon, because I'm an angel, I am nice, and don't forget it shit rat.”
“Right. You're right. You're an angel. Wait. Does that mean anytime I'm jealous I get a kiss like that? If I say I'm still jealous, do I get another one?”
Smirk sliding onto his feature, quickly replacing his upset and shaken look. Licht gave a small groan and shook his head, continuing on to their bedroom, followed closely by Hyde.
“You're deplorable. Go to bed Hyde.”
“No way angel cakes! That was really hot earlier! The way you kissed me like that. I want another! You aren't going to leave your poor, adorable pet hedgehog so distraught, are you?”
“Distraught my ass! You're fine!”
“Nooooo!!! I'm super depressed Lich-tan! You have to kiss me better!”
“Get off right now or else rat!”
The blond laughed, Licht was clearly in a good mood today, so that meant that, despite his threat, Hyde could get away with his actions. So the vampire's response was to throw his arms and legs around the teen, snuggling closer to him on their bed, causing the angel to blush profusely.
“Nevermind angel-chan. This will do just fine. I don't need that second kiss after all, since it embarrasses you so much.” He exclaimed as he nuzzled the boy’s cheek with his own. “You're such an ass...” Muttered the teen.
“Maybe, but I'm your ass!” Chirped the blond.
“Yes, you are. And I love you, despite how much you piss me off rat.”
“Aww, angel baby! I love you too!”
The two laid silently, which was a miracle for the ever loud Servamp of Greed. But eventually, the energetic blond let out a yawn, slowly losing himself to slumber and inadvertently loosening his hold. Licht chose this opportunity to slip an arm out and wrap it around the other male, pulling him to his chest. Instantly shocking the immortal out of his sleepy state.
“Lich-ta-” He started, in his normally loud voice, only being stopped by the raven placing his hand over his mouth and shushing him.
"Speak low, if you speak love."
The blonds eyes widened for a second, but sluggishly closed them as a smile spread across his face and Licht removed his hand.
“Sorry I got so jealous Lich-tan.” He whispered
“It's okay shit rat.”
“No, it's not, it made it was unfair to you.”
“It's know you've got some trust issues from your past, I don't mind. Now go to sleep. Really. It's fine.”
There was a beat of silence as they both closed their eyes.
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
The smile on the Servamp’s face widened, as a small one formed on his Eve’s face to match him. “Goodnight Lich-tan, sleep well.” He muttered.
“Goodnight Hyde.” He got softly whispered back. And then all was silent, as the two slipped into a peaceful and happy slumber.

Pretty Little Liars
These Boots Were Made for Stalking (A Recap)
I’m just warning you now, this episode is about as eventful as the last one. Don’t let that ridiculous episode title fool you.
We pick up where we left off, with the girls all surrounding the game, upset that Spencer played. Again, it may have been easier to avoid this had they not left it alone with one person. Emily decides to be assertive and say she’s still not playing, leaving the barn. Hanna is annoyed by Emily too and says that she can’t just leave because they’re in it together; after all, they all buried that body unnecessarily. Still so stupid. Like the police were going to prosecute them for some guy running around the woods in all black and getting in the way of a car. Open and shut accident.
Aria’s main focus still centers on the uncertainty of her engagement. A reporter saw her coming out of Ezra’s apartment and asks if she can get in touch with Ezra for an interview about him being reunited with his long-lost fiancé Nicole. So naturally Aria gets offended and corrects him about being the fiancé. Let’s table Aria for a little bit because she will actually serve as the relief from everything else that happens in this episode. We’re gonna need it.
At Rosewood High, Emily and Paige talk in the locker room. Paige apologizes for saying that Emily was a victim enabler the other day; but she was actually right about it and she said it in a very fair way, so I don’t think she should apologize. I cannot believe I’m sticking up for Paige. They talk a little bit about their history and when they part ways, Emily sees that there was a student still in the locker room and she was clearly listening in. Listen, this has an upturned and bitchy for the entire episode. In case you don’t pick up on her nature from her interactions with everyone. Emily asks her why she missed practice yesterday and the girl gives this half-ass response and saunters out.
Later, Emily goes to talk to the girl in Alison’s classroom following Ali’s lesson. She says that she checked with the office and saw that the girl never went home early yesterday. Emily says that it isn’t fair to her teammates that she skipped out on practice like that and the girl’s attitude isn’t helping her case, so Emily tells her she’s off the starting lineup for the next swim meet. The girl’s response is, “You sure you wanna do that?” and she walks out. Emily and Alison immediately talk about how terrible this girl is, with Ali remarking that she’s even worse than she was when she was a teenager. And I guess I should mention that this bitchy girl is named Addison Derringer…. It’s like they’re not even trying.
Ali wonders if her child will turn out like her or Addison. For the sake of all that is good, let’s hope that the kid doesn’t and let’s not entertain the possibility of a “next generation” spinoff centered around Ali’s potentially evil child. Emily asks Ali if that means she’s keeping the baby and Ali says she still hasn’t decided. Emily comforts her by stroking her hair and giving her a hug. While Addison was outside listening to the whole thing and taking pictures with her phone.
Addison later goes to Paige, accusing Emily of being a sexual predator who was trying to penalize her for not giving into Emily’s “advances”. Paige obviously knows this is all a lie; even if she didn’t know Emily as well as she does, she was picking up on Addison’s story not being consistent for the entirety of the conversation. Addison shows her the pictures she took of Ali and Emily and says that Emily is even inappropriate with other teachers. It’s the least incriminating picture in all of existence. Paige tells her that she’ll handle it and asks Addison to forward the picture to her.
Later that day, Paige shows Emily the picture and tells her about Addison’s accusation. She wants Emily to take the night off while she handles it.
Hanna meets with Mona, who shows her what the senator’s daughter picked out to wear to her event. But Hanna freaks out and says to talk her into another dress. Mona says she’ll be back when Hanna isn’t being so neurotic. Caleb sides with Mona’s stance and says she just needs to get over whatever her issue is and give the client the dress that she wants. Hanna tells him that she made the dress while working with Claudia and Claudia gave her several suggestions that made the dress work. At this point the background music is too annoying and distracting, but I think Caleb said something along the lines of “okay, and who gives a shit about Claudia?”  I’m not sure and I’m not rewatching this episode.
I guess we should see what Spencer is doing. Ah, she’s still being angsty about her birth mother. She finds out that Melissa also knew the secret. Obviously she knew Spencer, she would have remembered her mom being pregnant. She wonders why Melissa “put on a show” about finding out about Jason since she knew of her father’s infidelity before (regarding herself). Gee, Spencer, maybe it has something to do with finding out that she was dating her half-brother that made Melissa react like that. This is supposed to be the smart one?
I really wish we could skip Spencer, but she’s the one connected to the police storyline the most. She called Detective Marco and asks him if he would consider finding Mary a top priority. He doesn’t actually answer, but I would assume that Mary already was a priority considering how she’s connected to this entire situation. One could even argue that a great deal of this is Mary’s fault.
Spencer later meets with Marco at the police station to talk further about the case. Should he even be giving her this much information about an ongoing investigation? They’re interrupted by Jenna coming in, ready to make a statement. Marco tells her they aren’t alone and she says “I know. I can hear her breathing. Hello Spencer.” Let’s just, acknowledge the obvious about how she clearly would not be able to identify someone on their breathing.
Jenna says that she was working with Noel for money that he said Charlotte left for her to get eye surgery. But the “truth” is that Noel was broke and was going to take all the money and kill her like he did with Sara Harvey (I hope that’s the last we hear of her.) Jenna said she played along and had the gun as self-protection…despite not having eye sight. Incredibly for Spencer’s current behavior, she can tell that this is all a total lie.
And after all of that, I bet you welcome hearing about Aria. Aria is at the wedding planning place, talking to Holden. He’s swamped because a bride changed her mind at the last moment; change your mind as much as you want, but he better be making some serious extra cash for that. Aria helps him and he notices her taking off her ring and he asks how things are with Ezra. And really, Aria’s storyline is worth this: He lets her vent and he brings something about how everyone has history and how people can change and he says, “I mean, I’m not the same person I was in high school. Are you?” And it’s hilarious because yes, yes she is; they all are. I mean, just look at Ali and Emily having a meaningful conversation in front of an open door.  None of these people have grown in five years. Zero progression. We needed that.
Hanna called up Emily to see if she heard anything different and Emily points out how stupid that is and how she knows as much as Hanna does. If she knew more she would say it. This is just important because she sees Jenna with two other (presumably) blind people and she sees Jenna saying “send” into her phone and moments later sees and  hears Addison getting a notification for a new message.
We nee to revisit Spencer for a minute. Her mom tells her that she’s selling the house and they want to sever ties with the town as soon as possible. Spencer is like, “Okay, whatever, it’s just a house.” And that’s usually the response people want right? So that it’s not too difficult for the people leaving? But instead her mom launches into a huge monologue about how it’s not just a house, it’s their family and memories, and whatever other cliché things people say on TV shows. So like, does she want her to be upset? May as well add another thing you’ll never hear the end of.
Hanna and Mona are at The Radley when they see Jenna walk in wearing Hanna’s dress design in white. And to add insult to injury, it looks better in white. Mona storms over there demanding answers, but Jenna says it was a gift and blows her off. Hanna tells Mona it’s all a part of the game and she leaves too.
Hanna and Caleb follow Jenna. It looks like she’s going to the shoemaker where Hanna’s shoes that are going to go with the dress are being repaired. Jenna’s (presumably) blind friends go inside, while Jenna is outside. Caleb decides to confront her. When he walks up, Jenna smells (?!) him and asks if it’s Hanna. May have worked, but he spoke first to get her attention and I feel like she would recognize Caleb’s voice before Hanna’s smell. Hanna goes inside while they talk about nothing of importance.
The shoe repair shop is empty and dark. And not that large of a space; you could walk a few steps in and see the entirety of it. Somehow this does not stop Hanna from walking around, looking for the shoemaker, and getting locked in a cage where some of the shoes are. She flashes back to her torturing and huddles in a corner on the ground. She gets a text from AD telling her to wait her turn. Caleb finds her and gets her out. See! They haven’t learned anything!
Still at the wedding planning facility, Aria gets a news alert – it’s a full article about Ezra and Nicole being reunited. She says she has to leave and when she goes to put up her apron she sets her phone on the counter, with the article still on the screen. Holden sees it.
Aria goes to New York and talks a nurse into letting her in to see her “friend” Nicole so she can “drop off some salt water taffy.” She’s about to go in when she hears Holden yelling out, “Don’t do it Aria!” Very dramatic reaction that makes it seem like Aria was going to kill the woman or something. I think she was just going there to set the record straight about her and Ezra being engaged. Still a bad idea, but not one meriting that response.
So, Aria never goes in and she and Holden get some pizza. He gives her similar advice to what Hanna said last episode: just relax and continue going about each day until she and Ezra can talk further. He also points out that Ezra is probably feeling even more turmoil than she is. She thanks him and rests her head on her shoulder. I still do not remember Holden or why he’s significant, but please don’t love triangle this.
Emily wants Ali to give her the key to Spencer’s barn since Spencer left with her mom for the afternoon. Emily wants to play the game because she’s afraid AD is trying to get to her through Addison. She even thinks Addison could be a pawn of Jenna’s. Ali agrees to give her the key and goes with her.
When Alison and Emily play the game, they see a surveillance video of Addison and her boyfriend in a car outside of the coffee shop, sharing a bong. Emily’s solution is to confront Addison about how she’s a terrible person and a bully and she won’t get away with it. Problem is Emily is yelling and has completely lost her cool. Thankfully Paige is there; never thought I would say that either. Addison tries taunting Emily about how she’s gonna need a lawyer and Paige tells her that they have a copy of the email she sent to her friend gloating about her plan to get Emily fired; she says that the principal and Addison’s parents have seen it and they’re waiting for her in the principal’s office. Imagine that; someone said they would handle it and they actually did. And someone is actually getting consequences for their actions!
When Emily is leaving she gets an AD text saying “Embrace your dark side. I had to.” If that’s all her “dark side” is then that won’t be a difficult venture. All she did was yell at an irritating teenage; people want to do that every day. Emily also sees that she has mail in her teacher mailbox. It’s another puzzle piece.
Everyone gets together at the end of the episode and add Emily’s puzzle piece. Spencer deduces that it’s a map. I guess that’s the plot progression? We’re gonna painstakingly get like 6 more pieces until they get a full a map and then they finally “discover” something?

Dead Man's Party Part 1
Back to the Buffy’s Bedroom set. I kinda wish Aaron Sorkin had been involved in making Buffy so they’d have had to build the whole town and everything’s location relative to everything else would make sense. You don’t really appreciate good use of space in TV until you see it in West Wing and can actually feel where most of the rooms in the setting are relative to one another. On with the show! 1. “I guess I just got used to all the quiet while you were gone, but it’s no problem.” You mean after you threw her out, Joyce? No, in case you’re wondering, I don’t intend to let that go. Even if the simple act of throwing one’s teenage daughter out of the house wasn’t nigh-unforgivable in and of itself, the parallels in how the scene played out with what rather a lot of LGBT youth has gone through would push it way past the deep end, and it fits with Joyce’s overall behavior patterns before it. 2. That mask is obviously evil, Joyce. Seriously. There’s zero chance it’s not going to do something terrible. 3. “I was, until that four-course snack you served me after dinner.” This is also a habit of abusers. Be extra-good to the person you abuse when you’re not actively abusing them. It’s a form of gaslighting. 4. This is the safest Sunnydale’s been for Buffy and her friends in months. Without Evil Angel to threaten everyone’s lives, Xander and Willow and Giles are now at barely any risk beyond that of simply living in Sunnydale! 5. The effectiveness of crosses against vampires is really inconsistent. Sometimes they keep the vampire totally at bay, other times they don’t really do any good at all. Maybe Xander should carry rice instead of a cross. 6. “Nighthawk?!” Yeah, really. 7. Xander made it to the opening credits without doing or saying anything terrible! 8. “Mad? Just because you ran away and abandoned your post and your mom and made him lay awake every night and worry about you?” Ah, there’s the Xander we know. Dumbass. 9. Giles has a wonderful dismissive voice when referencing Xander, that he actually manages to mix in with a ton of other emotions on seeing Buffy. Anthony Stewart Head is a treasure. 10. “You’re not wanted for murder any more.” Thanks, Oz, for dispensing with that plot point. 11. I could watch Anthony Head act silently all day. 12. “Perhaps Buffy could use a little time to adjust before you grill her on her summer activities.” 13. Xander and Willow are trying to get out of spending time with Buffy the next day. Why? I mean, I see it from Xander, but… why Willow? Especially after the last episode. 14. Here’s Principal Snyder’s awfulness! 15. You… can’t throw someone out of a public school for having a low GPA. That’s kind of core to how public schools work and what their goal is… also, while Joyce’s arguing for Buffy not to be expelled is nice and actually parental, shouldn’t she also be trying to get her into some sort of program to help with her obvious learning disability? 16. … How did the mayor get authority over the school system? Where’s the school board? 17. “What about homeschooling? You know, it’s not just for scary religious people any more.” It never was, really, but they sure do find ways to take advantage of the laws that allow it to deny their children actual educations. 18. Did Willow stand Buffy up? Willow stood Buffy up. What is with her today? 19. This episode is going to pile blame for leaving (when she was thrown out of her home by her mother after being falsely accused of murdering her friend) on Buffy, isn’t it? Because, seriously, fuck that. 20. Oh god. Who is this woman? 21. After the actress’s enunciation of her character’s name, I had to look it up on Wikipedia. Pat. Pat, not Kath. She’s as sweet as saccharine. 22. Pat is talking to Buffy about Joyce talking to Pat about Buffy’s problems. She… really shouldn’t do that. I get if Joyce needs someone to vent to, but if you’re someone’s venting buddy you don’t go talk about the venting to the person they’re venting about. 23. Joyce! Boundaries! Buffy is having a hard time and will need alone time as much as she needs her friends. Inviting her friends over without asking her is a seriously, seriously terrible thing to do to her. 24. The writers might not know how awful Joyce is being here, but Sarah Michelle Gellar does. Look at her face when she’s saying that having her friends over will be great. 25. Lovely little picture there. And dead cat. Very, very dead cat. 26. “Next time, I get to pick the mother-daughter bonding activity.” 27. Evil mask is doing evil now. Zombie cat! I’m glad Chekhov didn’t write televised horror; otherwise we’d have a trope about a cat corpse in act one always being raised by act three. 28. Pretty sure this is a dream sequence. It’s too… clean… not to be. It’s also an excuse to have David Boreanaz in the opening credits. 29. “I’m afraid.” “You should be.” Yes, Dream Angel, she should. This episode’s going to pull Willow and maybe Giles out of their usual portrayals and into land usually occupied only by Xander and Joyce in order to try to tell a fable whose lesson was broken before the episode even started by none of the things Buffy’s supposed to be taking responsibility for actually being even remotely her fault. 30. “Buffy, you made some bad choices. You just might have to live with some consequences.” Bad choices like… being born with a specific unavoidable destiny? Not murdering her friend, who happened to be the only other person in the world who shares that trait? Getting thrown out of the house by you? Fuck, I hate this episode. 31. I’m just skipping Joyce’s whole rant about breaking the Masquerade. 32. “Welcome to the Hellmouth Petting Zoo.” 33. “Shouldn’t you stay with your mother, Buffy?” She should be anywhere but with her mother. 34. “I hate Brie.” “I know. It smells like Giles’s cat.” 35. Aaaaaaannnnnnd here comes Xander with the slut shaming again. “Did you meet any nice pimps on your travels?” I just paused the show to write this point and Giles has the most perfect disgusted look on his face. I’m with you, Giles. 36. “Oh, and by the by thanks for ruining our lives for the last three months.” By… not murdering her best friend and getting kicked out of her mother’s home? 37. … They’re not going to run throwing a huge party at the house past either Buffy, who the gathering is centered on, or Joyce, whose house it will happen in, are they? 38. Oh god Joyce invited Pat. She brought empanadas. And she’s going to air more of Joyce’s ranting.
