Short: Finding Merlin
Arthur: What do you mean you can't find Merlin?
Leon: I mean we can't find him, Sire. We've asked all the servants and before you ask, yes we've checked the Tavern.
Arthur: *Paces* Then search the forests I want him found understood!?
Leon: Yes Sire. *Walks out the door but hears the King mutter*
Arthur: *mutters* Idiot thinks he can escape this marriage... Ha just wait until I show him his wedding robes, he'll look like a noble and absolutely hate it. πŸ‘°πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
Leon: *suffers and leaves quickly*
Gwaine: So what did the princess do this time?
Leon: Apparently he gave Merlin his mother's sigil awhile back and Merlin only just found out, thanks to Gwen, what a noble offering a sigil means to their intended.
Gwaine: No way! The princess proposed marriage to Merlin without even telling him?!
Leon the long suffering: Indeed. Merlin is a commoner and while he has improved since he first arrived here, he still doesn't know all the intricacies of nobility.
Gwaine: So Merlin got mad and went off to who knows where?
Leon: It would seem.
Gwaine: How long do we have before his royalness starts going off to find Merlin himself?
Random Servant: *Shouts* The King is gone!
Gwaine: ... πŸ˜…
Leon: ... 😭
Merlin: *Returns dragging an unconscious and dirty Arthur on horseback*
Gwen: Oh, what happened? Did you get attacked? Are you both OK? Where have you been Merlin? Everyone has been looking for you.
Merlin: I'm ok Gwen, I went to talk about something important. Nothing bad happened, I left a note with Gaius on where I went.
Elyan: Ah, he got called on an emergency birth with one of the down town ladies, hasn't been back yet.
Merlin: *Huffs* And so that was reason for this idiot to go off and start a kingdom wide hunt for me? The Dollphead...
Gwen: *sigh* We did try to tell him he was being a bit paranoid. But he thought after your argument on the sigil he might have scared you off... *Looks to the unconscious King resting on the horse* What happened to him?
Merlin: Pfft, *smirks* the King fainted.
Elyan: He... Fainted...
Merlin: Yup. I found the idiot riding like a madman and when he finally calmed down enough to actually listen to me I told him I just went off to talk with Kilgharrah and Aithusa.
Gwen: Ok, that explains where you went, but then what happened to make Arthur faint?
Merlin: Aha, well... πŸ˜…
[BEFORE, IN THE FOREST]
Arthur: So what was it that you need to talk to dragons for? Did you get your answers? *Trying and failing not to stare at Merlin while walking beside him*
Merlin: Hmm I did *Reaches out to grasp Arthur's hand and paused their walking*
Arthur: Merlin?
Merlin: *Breathes deeply before taking something from his pocket and into Arthur's hand*
Arthur's heart dropped when he felt a round shape of a coin and it showed in his eyes what he believes this to be.
Merlin: *Noticed Arthur's sudden sad mood, rolled his eyes* Dollphead, opened your hand before jumping to conclusions! πŸ™„
Arthur: *Opens hand* Wait, is this...
Merlin: *Squirms and fidgets* I wanted to ask Kilgharrah about Dragon Lord Courting triditions. And well, he wasn't too informed in that but knew of Dragon Lords giving a Dragon scale as gifts and I asked Aithusa for one of hers, being her Dragon Lord after all... And well he said I could shape it, so I used my magic to carve it and well, being a dragon lord and you a Pendragon I thought why not Twin dragons?
In Arthurs hand was a white-silver sigil that shines faintly with Twin dragons circling each other and behind them he recognises the druids triskel symbol.
Arthur: *In Awe and too speechless for words*
Merlin: It also is embedded with my magic and acts like a... Connection between us. I'll be to find you as long as you have it and you'll be able to find me. My magic would guide you. Maybe then you won't have to go on a kingdom wide search for me. *Laughs*
Arthur: *Smiles* Heh, so a Merlin Finder? About time, do you know how hard it is to find idiot warlocks lately?
Merpin: *Smiles fondly* Prat.
Merlin: *Looks serious* That's not all either. Arthur, your a prat and a dollop head. I know I tell you you're always a bit thick in the head but I never knew how much until I realised the significance of your mother's sigil. You had to go about proposing to me in the most infuriating way without even telling me.
Merlin: But I know more then anyone how good of a man you are, how much you work to be fair to your people. And the thought of you having those kind of feelings for me was too good to be true. Because I would have said yes. Always I'd say yes. I feel like I was born to love you Arthur. Prophecys and destiny may play a part, but I would always chose you.
Arthur: *Dumbfounded*
Merlin: *Rolls his eyes* I'm proposing cabbagehead. I'll marry you. β€οΈπŸ’
Arthur: ... πŸ˜³πŸ€―πŸ’ž *Faints and falls into a puddle*
Merlin: ...
[END OF FLASHBACK]
Merlin: *Blushes with a laugh* I accepted his proposal. He ended up going into shock after and fell over into a small puddle.
Gwen: Oh! πŸ˜ƒ Merlin I'm so happy for you!
Elyan: Yeah, cheers mate. *Mutters to himself* Thank god all the pining is over.
Arthur: *Wakes up* I had the most fantastic dream! Merlin gave me a sigil and accepted my proposal~!
Merlin: *Speaks from the fireplace* It wasn't a dream Arthur!
Arthur: 😍 You love me! πŸ’–
Merlin: πŸ™„β€οΈ *Walks up and kisses Arthur* Yes I do.
Arthur: πŸ’˜πŸ₯΄πŸ’• Merlin Loves me~! Merlin will marry me~
Merlin: *Fond and in love* πŸ₯°
The (Merlin's) Knights: FINALLY!
Castle Servants: FINALLY!
All of Camelot: FINALLY!
Kilgharrah: The two halves have finally become one.
Aithusa: *Chirps*

Arthur and Merlin travel back in time without knowing the other is from the future too AU
LINKS TO THE OTHER PARTS OF THIS AU HERE: PARTE 1 , PARTE 2 , PARTE 3, PARTE 4 , PART5 (you're here) , PARTE 6
In "The Beginning of the End"
Morgana: Merlin! I need your help.
Merlin: (worried) What is it?
Morgana: Just come with me (brings Merlin to her chambers and shows him Mordred behind the screen)
Merlin: (Who's been ignoring Mordred's calls for help in his mind on purpose and still hates him to guts for what he did to Arthur in his timeline, trying to remain compose) That's... That's the druid boy.
Morgana: (Who did hear Mordred calls for help and helped him instead) He's injured. If we don't give him medical attention he'll die.
Merlin: (almost histerical) If Uther finds out you've been hiding the druid boy in your chambers you'll die! We'll all die! What were you thinking?!
Morgana: I couldn't just leave him! He's just a child! He's innocent!
Merlin: To Uther he's guilty.
Morgana: And to you he is? He has done no harm. His only crime is having magic. Do you think he deserves to be executed for that?
Merlin: ... No. Of course not.
Morgana: Then help me. Just tend his wound. Please. (puppy eyes)
Merlin: (Still full of resentment to Arthur's future murderer, but loving Morgana too much to deny her anything. Sighs) Alright.
...
Morgana: Arthur. To what do I owe this pleasure?
Arthur: (enters her chambers) Where is him?
Morgana: Who?
Arthur: I know you're hiding him Morgana.
Morgana: I don't know what you're talking about.
Arthur: Well, I need to search your chambers, kings orders. (starts searching)
Morgana: You will not do such a thing! Stop messing up my things!
Arthur: (opens the screen where Merlin and Mordred are hiding) So this is where you've been lazing around.
Merlin: Sorry πŸ˜…
Arthur: (To Morgana) You drag him into this, I can't believe you! Do you know the risk you're putting yourself in?
Morgana: Arthur, please! (putting herself between Arthur and Mordred) Don't turn him in. I beg you, he's just a child.
Arthur: (who resents Mordred, not really because he tried to kill him, that part just hurt him, but because Merlin had to make the deal with the sidhes and was turned into a tree due to what Mordred did in his timeline) I'm sorry I have no choice. I can hide your involvement in this. No harm will come to you or Merlin. Now step aside. (Morgana doesn't move) Morgana.
Morgana: You'll have to go throught me first!
Arthur: I'm trying to protect you.
Morgana: If you hand him over, I'll never forgive you.
Arthur: (Conflicted cause he still have mixed feelings about Mordred but doesn't want Morgana to hate him again. Looks at Merlin for answers, but Merlin's avoiding his eyes at all cost)...
Morgana: We can take him out of Camelot, back to his people. He'll be safe there and Uther will stop searching for him eventually.
Arthur: This is treason. If my father finds out-
Morgana: He won't. Not if you help us. Arthur, please. (puppy eyes)
Arthur: (sighs, giving up) We'll have to be careful. And I'm not doing this again, you hear me?
Morgana: (jumps happily and hugs him) Thank you, thank you, thank you! You're going to be a great king one day. I know it!
Arthur: Yeah, yeah whatever πŸ™„(but he smiles and hugs back)
Merlin: (touched by the scene and very proud of Arthur despite his feelings towards Mordred) I agree. You'll be the greatest king of all.
Arthur: (separating from Morgana's hug and extending his arms at Merlin to which Merlin just looks at him confused) So?
Merlin: So?
Arthur: Where's my gratitude hug?
Merlin: (shocked)... what? 😳
Morgana: (Who already knows something is going on) Oh, don't be shy (pushes Merlin towards Arthur)
Merlin: (wraps his arms around Arthur hesitantly, but Arthur presses Merlin to him instanly and Merlin melts in the hug)
Morgana: (thinking) Awww. Next time I'll just have Merlin seduce him into doing stuff. It'll work faster.

Survived the Iron Throne after only 4 attempts πŸ˜…πŸ™„πŸ˜ note for next run: stock up on haste and misty step gear / scrolls.
Gale hasn't found out about my *ahem* Experience with the Emperor, thankfully. He's already been very clear that poly is not for him, but I felt incapable of refusing a night with *spoilers* The Man The Myth The Legend. I chickened out of full monster fucking and made him wear his Guardian face πŸ™„πŸ˜… will save that for my Druid run.
Anyhoo, off to nuke Gortash next, the smug fuck. Also finding the city littered with broken Steel Watchers and Fist pouches was very satisfying.

Yes. I do like the show obviously. πŸ™„
What I don’t like though is a fandom that acts as if every Knight of the Round Table in the show is some kind of magic hating bigot. When nothing like that is ever shown.
The Knights as a whole are the equivalent to our modern day military force and yes obviously, they will go after someone who killed their king.
Are you serious right now? πŸ˜… You honestly expect the knights of Camelot to NOT go after the sorcerer who they believed killed their king?
If you believe knights of a realm only defend kingdoms that are run by pure hearted rulers and will automatically disobey someone that has questionable motives, then I think it’s you that doesn’t understand the show.
Or the Medieval Era at all?
Even though we (as the audience know) that not all magic users are evil. It’s been mentioned multiple times in the show and in the books as well, that magic twenty years ago was used by corrupt sorcerers to wreak havoc.
Camelot and many of the nearby kingdoms banned it as a result.
Uther might have ultimately made his decision because of what happened to Ygraine, but magic was a legitimate danger back then and others followed in his footsteps with magic bans in their own territories, because they also believed magic to be dangerous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kara killed innocent people on the roads leading into Camelot for the weapons they were carrying (with the help of the Saxon’s; who are dangerous mercenaries) and then attacked the king when he had been trying to do nothing but assist a young woman he thought was injured.
Arthur was not a danger to her in that moment and he didn’t have her executed for being a druid or having magic.
Kara wasn’t a β€œfreedom fighter”.
Kara was working with Morgana. Someone who had killed innocent Camelot citizens during her reign and waged wars against their kingdom in order to take the throne by force.
Arthur only had her executed, because she attacked him and tried to kill him.
And that is well within his rights (especially within his own kingdom).
The fact that you can hear multiple mentions by Gaius, explaining to Merlin that magic at one point was a big problem for Camelot and was wreaking havoc.
Only to sweep it under the rug because it doesn’t fit your desired narrative. Makes it obvious that maybe you’re the one whose black and white mortality is clouding your judgment of the show.
Merlin uses his magic for the greater good and yes, there was many innocent sorcerers who died unnecessarily in the kings war against magic.
However, that doesn’t mean that magic wasn’t at one point a very dangerous weapon and that the people of the kingdom don’t have a legitimate reason to fear it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Merlin universe, magic in fact does have the power to corrupt those who use it.
Obviously, not everyone who uses it gets corrupted because magic is a neutral force, but is only common sense that some humans if given great power would eventually succumb to temptation and start to use magic in order to gain power, money and influence.
To blatantly just ignore the mentions of the dangers of magic in the past.
To act as if it’s a completely one sided story where sorcerers of the past were always completely innocent victims and magic never posed a threat to the lives of innocent citizens is too ignore the story the writers created.

Title: The knights were NOT anti-magic extremists
I’m really tired of the fandom acting like the knights of the round table were sadistic murders, when it came to magic and sorcerers. 😬 🚫
So I’m going to write out all the times (that I can remember off the top of my head), where they went up against magic users and how they reacted.
Most of the knights of the round table, never showed any malice towards magic users who weren't dangerous and they certainly didn't go out of their way to harm any of them.
In fact, the only real time the knights ever go after a magic user in such a way is when they go after Dragoon, (who they plan to arrest) and even then, only because the kingdom believes him to have been responsible for killing Uther.
Tumblr media
- Gwaine initially raised his sword to Grettir, but only when he thought he wasn't going to allow them to cross the bridge and showed no further anger towards him, once he was told his sword would be returned to him.
- Leon is awed by the Druids for having saved him when he was on the verge of death. He shows no malice towards them.
- Gwaine kills Orn (Alator’s bodyguard/minion). Which he does because they have kidnapped Gaius, held him prisoner and tortured him.
- Elyan hugged the spirit of a little boy because he thought he might be cold and tried to comfort him.
- Gwaine didn't move to attack the Diamair, despite it clearly being a magical creature.
- The knights only go after Finna, because they believe her to be a dangerous sorcereress (given the way Helva was attacked and only a few people managed to escape with their lives).
LEON There's a dangerous sorceress at large, Merlin. Plus a bunch of Saxons. This is not the place to be alone.
ARTHUR Send out a second patrol. Seal off the Ford at Greinten and alert the border garrisons.
They must be found and brought to trial.
Tumblr media
- The knights only pursue Kara originally, because she was spotted near the area where Saxon's raided wagons of weapons headed to Camelot.
And then of course, Kara seals her fate later by trying to stab their king and refusing to repent her crime, even after they show her mercy. βš”οΈ
- Admittedly, the knights did go on the hunt to find and destiny Aithusa's egg.
However, I think it's important to remember their kingdom was ravaged by a dragon, only a few short years before and many of their people died.
They also had no way of knowing Merlin was a dragon lord, who had the power to control the dragon and keep it away from the kingdom.
So honestly, that's a very valid and understandable fear.
- In the Disir episode: The knights try to apprehend the sorcerer, Osgar (as is their job).
They only go after him with more force once one their knights, Sir Ranulf, is killed in the process.
Leon: They were trying to apprehend him when he used his powers to escape. I am sorry to report... Sir Ranulf was mortally wounded.
So yes, the knights aren't going out their way to pull masks over their heads, to hide their identity and then free sorcerers.
But the knights are also not shown to have any actual grievances against magic users or go out their way to attack them.
The only time the knights have been shown to attack sorcerers, is when they were a threat (or to arrest Dragoon, who they believed killed the former king).
So (excluding Leon), I don’t think it's out of character to believe the knights might initially fear Arthur's reaction to finding out Merlin had magic, or thinking they might have to step in to protect him.
The knights trying to instinctively protect Merlin, doesn't mean that Arthur is evil or unreasonable.
It simply means that they recognize the kings authority in that moment, (since magic is against the law of the kingdom) and they would likely be able to visibly see that Merlin was afraid.
That makes them protective friends.
Tumblr media
Something that I think even Arthur would appreciate afterward.
He cares deeply about Merlin and would be grateful the knights had the backbone to try to protect him.

Thanks for the tags. Honestly, I'm still very much in the bracket stage, and I don't know when I'll be able to produce anything, because apparently now I have to go to work to write emails rather than vampire elf smut. πŸ™„ Bullshit.
Anyway, I suppose the following is technically at least 7 sentences, and I probably won't mess with it too much before I'm done.
β€œPsst, Halsin... Halsin. Halsin! HALSIN!” Astarion hurled a pillow at the groggy druid, who somehow managed to catch it in midair before it smashed into his face.Β  β€œHmm?” a low rumble reverberated in his chest as he stirred awake. Β  β€œDo you want to try something?”  β€œ...What?”  β€œIt’s a yes or no question.”  β€œ...Yes.”
I think everyone I might have tagged is already up above or has posted something similar recently. πŸ˜… Would be thrilled to read anyone else's stuff though.
tyty for the tag, @emelkae!
rules: post the last seven sentences you've written, then tag seven people.
this was actually never supposed to see the light of day (didn't even make it out of my notes to a doc lmao) so no title for this
How long until he himself is slain in the name of peace across the nation and finally laid to rest in waters marred by his own blood and for once not that of others? Surely the blood should be gone by now. But he can feel it, splashing up to his shoulders. Pouring down his lungs. He is wading in it. How much blood is on his hands? Too much.
open tag ofc!! buuuut for the challenge rules i'm tagging: @perpetualcynicism, @minhxiao, @frankenjoly, @legend-of-cupcake, @thirdleaflogic, @cocrante, @airbluest
