Adding onto this, but people in addiction are allowed to relapse, that doesn't mean they aren't trying. People with mental health issues are allowed to have bad days.

"Oh he has lines about not wanting to do work" ALL OF THEM DO! I'm married to Sam in my current playthrough and I swear he has more dialog about wanting to mess around/why he didn't do anything than actually saying he helped. He genuinely has dialog about how "he didn't make the bed but the player loves him cause he's messy"

"His bedroom is gross/messy" welcome to depression! Not having the energy to clean your own space is a common symptom. The fact that he can help on the farm/clean the farmhouse but not his designated space should make that obvious. Newsflash besties, depressed people show symptoms sometimes and seeing a therapist doesn't immediately fix you.

"He still references alcohol after" yes saying he wants a drink is gonna happen, he's a recovering alcoholic. Plus, if you like bother to read, he explicitly mentions he switches to sparkling water and joja cola so you can infer him going to get a drink at the saloon/wanting a cold one is his new drink of choice, not exclusively alcohol. The game shouldn't have to explicitly remind you every single dialog that he's in recovery.

You're allowed to not like him. But being gross and cruel twords him or saying people who romance him just want to fix him is weird? You can say similar shit about all the other datables and their issues but apparently a character having problems is only bad to you people when they're mentally ill huh?

Shane isn't a real person, but you know who is real? All the people in the Fandom who have to read your posts about how awful he is for relapsing or being "gross" from obvious mental health issues. You're not gonna change shane, but you are going to push away tons of people and make them feel horrible for something that's not a fucking issue.

The way some of you talk about shane from stardew valley is absolutely disgusting lmao.

1. Are you named after anyone?

One of my middle names is after my mom’s great-grandmother.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I don’t know specifically but probably early this month; the holidays were giving me a hard time and I was missing home a lot.

3. Do you have kids?

Who tf do you think I am?? the tumbkr population is aging but not that much!! And, in this economy??

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

My family runs on it, so yes.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Now I’m being asked about it? Idk. Probably hair or maybe scent (especially perfume/cologne - I’m sensitive to scent and don’t like them).

6. What’s your eye color?

Depends on the light, usually like, pale blue.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings. Scary movies are too much for me, I find them unpleasant overall. And just because you have a happy ending doesn’t mean you don’t have tragedy and hardship before it, that’s what makes it worth finishing.

8. Any special talents?

I’m pretty good with animals and babies, apparently, but other than that idk. I can cross my eyes? Lol

9. Where were you born?

USA, the land of 20oz boba, real lemonade, and barbecue

10. What are you hobbies

I have a lot of them, but I haven’t been able to get to my creative ones much. I collect kpop stuff (Hinged), I draw sometimes, embroider, paint, etc. I read when I have time. I also like trying new desserts at the convenience store. And I’ve considered picking up calligraphy recently, I need to inquire about the classes though.

11. Do you have any pets

Not of my own; my family has like. A small zoo. Ten? Cats, dogs, and some budgies we ended up with because they were lost and unclaimed at the shelter and we have a little experience with birds. Oh, and am ancient, belligerent Pygmy goat.

12. Have you ever played/do you play any sports?

I swam competitively year-round when I was a kid for probably over ten years; not super talented or anything like my friends who’ve gone to trials, but because it was fun. I stopped mostly around late middle school, did a final two summer leagues, then quit for good. I also used to dance (11 years, 10 of them ballet) casually. And I had started a volleyball class right at the start of the pandemic then couldn’t finish it for obvious reasons. I’d love to pick up archery again, or kyuudo specifically.

13. How tall are you

5’7” or thereabouts, I get a different number every time a nurse who’s shorter than me measures 🤷🏼

14. Favorite subject in school

English and history, I always really enjoyed history as a kid and through high school, and then grew into my love of English later on as I grew into an interest in writing as well as reading. Monkey read, monkey do. I also really enjoyed art, particularly in high school. I took all the offered classes and then did an independent study and was kind of the one art teacher’s… mot favorite, but something close to it.

15. Dream job

I don’t know, frankly. Doing whatever I want and getting paid to do it? Like, whatever strikes my mood as I feel like it, be it writing, editing, something like library clerking and potentially programming, something creative with a more physically tangible product, teaching. The flexibility to live and also hop around. I used to think it was writing, but I don’t think I’d like writing anymore if it were my main source of income.

The Decision

Hi everyone! 

I know you all have been wondering what I have decided in regards to the “control” of this blog. Thank you for all the support and DM’s as well. I was humbled by it all and appreciate your patience. 

Just to go backwards a bit, this blog is NOT a HATE blog. It is a place where fans or former fans of the show can discuss GA and the crew. Zak is the main point of conversation because “He makes himself the point of conversation” by the decisions he makes, mostly are all questionable. A healthy debate is what happens here with respectful opinions. This blog started in October of 2017 because on another blog many people had questions about Zak, etc. and of course the Original Dirty Website Thread comments (NOT MINE) that was around for years was gone. This blog if you read the introduction is not that thread nor any other continuation of a forum somewhere else. So I was answering questions and then in a round about way this blog was born based on those followers of that blog wanted it. 

Why did I take it on? Good lord, I question that everyday. Contrary to the hate that I get I do have a good life, successful career and many hobbies. This blog isn’t a hobby to me as it is another job that impedes my life BUT the reason I keep going is all of you here loving the tea and how many girls dodged the Zak bullet before they dated him. Knowing the information gave them the big picture and they decided for themselves to not be with Zak. That is what this blog is for along with other fun stuff. The latter of “fun stuff” started to be missed from the blog and it was “anonymous” posters that just kept bringing in hate, which in turn made me negative and downright angry that I had to defend myself over and over again. 

This blog has over 800 followers and gains everyday. I do have a private blog I have NEVER used. I don’t believe in segregating my followers so this blog will continue as is with everyone being able to see the same content. I wanted to be fair and I don’t like anyone feeling like they are an outsider that didn’t get picked to be in the private blog. So what will I do with it? See below. 

So what did I decide?

* I will let through “anonymous” posts three days of the week. I will not say what days and each week the days could change. Why? I don’t want someone purposely stacking their “anon” hate posts targeting for a specific day. I will moderate “heavily” so no posts will be released that attack me, the followers, or the blog in ANY WAY. I used to release everything but no more. That stops now. This blog needs to get back to conversation and less hate attacks. 

*The private blog will be put to use but I want it to be a place where you can talk about things like for example I see a lot of those that are Wiccan that might want to chit chat with other followers here. It can be topics not GA related or even Zak related. I also will open it up to those that feel maybe more comfortable as themselves asking a GA or Zak question there. 

*Does this mean the private blog will not have sensitive content of Zak or the crew? No. I do have some really “juicy” information that I have not posted here since it is really an in depth view that being this is so public I can see it spreading like wildfire since we know the zak obsessed read here and will screenshot or then do a full on attack. Also, with the new Tumbkr rules it might push a boundary where I would have a flagged post or removed by Tumblr.

*The private blog is invite only so what I will do is if you want to join it then let me know but here is the caveat: If I don’t know who you are or have never spoken to you but you have other members of this blog then “they” will have to sponsor or vouch for you (i.e. RandomHearts knows me but TDB doesn’t so Random contacts TDB and says please add so and so as I know them) The positive to that is you have to have an account to be allowed in the blog so no “anons” can post there. 

I hope you guys feel that this is fair as I wrestled about this a long time. 😓

Just gonna throw this into the abyss, I guess? I don’t think anyone’s gonna read it anyways, so I guess this is a vent for the emptiness of Tumbkr space?

I’ve notice that some POC will say stuff like: all whites/yt people are *insert something bad here*, in situations where it’s been shown that one or a few white people have been racist or the likes, and like, I won’t say “oh, that’s racist against white people!” but honestly, and I’m really not making this “about me/about how hard it is to be white nowadays” or some shit, I just wanna know: do POC actually think that generally all white people are selfish or racist at their very core? Like, I understand looking at history, it does paint a telling picture, but do POC actually think that it’s helpful to generalise that we’re all racist bastards? I’m not asking cuz I actually think that anyone would think like that (unless they have a fair reason) it just kinda feels like a generalisation that WOULD be racist if it was a white person saying something bad about a specific race or people of a specific country of origin or with a specific culture. I know it’s not racist cuz it’s towards white people, but just to be sure, I promise you, we’re learning and trying to better ourselves. I know I am, especially about white privilege. But, I also like to think that I’m not inherently selfish or racist just because of my skin colour. Maybe I’ve been raised in a society that’s made me see white-ness as a default and I have lived a privileged life on many counts, but I know for a fact, that no matter what skin colour you have, you’re not born more selfish or as a racist just because you have a certain skin colour pigment.

And before anyone starts: I’m not from the US. I’m from a Scandinavian country and while there’s no doubt racism in our society, it’s a very different kind than the one in the US.

Im gonna do that thing that tumbkr is for...voicing your own opinion right? The only difference between this and a diary is that i can get blasted or acknowledged. Whatever.

I do not have a problem with anyone and their personal choices. I have my mind and dont know how its wired but my problem lies with those that are clearly not in control of their emotions.

I get it, not everyone thinks the same so im not trying to single out certain people because they have mental circumstances that make them sensitive to specific triggers.

But a grown adult shouldn’t cry over “spilled milk”

Shed your tears every now and then booboo, i know i do but theres still “milk” for tomorrow so clean it up and keep trucking.

Dont go on social networks and show everyone how upset your are because someone hurt your feelings because youre not going to get sympathy. Social networks are worse than being the smallest kid on the football team. Atleast your friends can say they were trying to toughen you up but the internet....knows no mercy.
