So I'm probably going to write this out in better detail on my blog or whatever but I want to tell someone about it while I wait for my laptop. I already have so many head canons for musicals and different characters.
Whitney matches Rich from Be More Chill so much in my opinion. So many actions of him just in the live action strike me as Whitney, let alone some animations. I also now headcanon the Whitney used to be a nobody during freshmen year. Such a nobody that people don't even think he went to the school during freshman year.
In the musical before "The Squip Song" he literally pisses in front of Jeremy and does hip wiggles while saying "confidence". Jeremy ends up asking Rich if he was gonna wash his hands. Rich just starts touching Jeremy, no hands washed. In one animatic Rich started touching Jermey's face right after he asked and I'm just sitting there thinking. "Omg, Whitney is that you?" I could go on and on but I won't so I have some stuff to write out in detail.
Bestie I'm so sorry that I have no idea what the context is behind this lore. I haven't watched a single musical, and I have no idea what you're referencing, but I love your energy LMAO.
Loserboy whitney sounds promising though. Grew up bullied, becomes the bully. Classic, love that!!

Creepypasta As Musical Songs I Think They Would Body
I'm gonna get back to writing requests soon, but I wanted to make sure I posted something in the meantime for you guys!//
Jeff: El Tango De Roxanne
The drama and theatrics he would pour into this song, I know it to be true because he is dramatic. Especially on the last part and he would carry on with life as if he didn't just belt his heart out in the middle of his room
EJ: Master Of The House
He'd definitely lock the door to his room or office for this song because he's going all out. I'd imagine he'd sing this song as he's cleaning up around his space and uses his things as props to feel like he's an innkeeper
Ben: The Squip Song
First off, Be More Chill is his favorite musical and I'm not sorry about that. He'll sing this out of random anytime he thinks of it and pulls the best performance imaginable every time without fail
Toby: Meant To Yours
You'd thought I'd give this to Jeff, but no, this is Toby's world and we're just living in it. The rasp in his voice would do wonders when he sings this and he scares people in the mansion often since sometimes he'll even do the scream at the end of the song
Masky: In The Heights
Weird headcanon but Masky/Tim seems like a New York guy in my head, not sure why. New Yorker or not, he appreciates the absolute bop of this song and would give it his all as long as he makes sure he's alone
Hoodie: Feed Me (Git It)
Also kinda New Yorker vibes, Hoodie/Brian would eat this song up when given the chance. Totally see him locking the door to his room so he can dance around in peace without fear of being seen
LJ: The Whole "Being Dead" Thing
He's a Beetlejuice kinnie and he 100% has the voice to pull it off with no problem. He most likely will be performing in his room or around the mansion like he is on the Broadway stage as he should
Jane: Cell Block Tango
Is the song 7 minutes long and has 6 parts, yes. Is that gonna stop Jane from having her gaslight, gatekeep, girl boss moment, absolutely not. She definitely sings this as she's cleaning her space, using the broom as a microphone and dance partner
Liu: The Ballad Of Jane Doe
This is an interesting pick, but I know Liu would leave no crumbs when he sings his song. He'll stop everything he's doing to do this song justice and more than likely sway around to mimic the actual performance

How I feel about this character
He's definitely the character I play around with the most next to Jeremy. They're a package deal anyway you slice it. I don't have much in the way of words because my brain doesn't wanna work but he is a Certified Guy Ever
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Jeremy's the only one, though I do have this one headcanon of Michael and Jake having a fling (if it can be called that) during spring break sophomore year (which Jeremy is conveniently on vacation for bc I said so) that ties in with Jake's sexuality crisis. Filled with all the "You're dead if you tell anyone about this" that you'd expect out of Golden Boy Jakey keeping up his popularity routine despite sucking face with a Loser™️. Michael is obviously sworn to secrecy but he still gets to feel smug about being Jake's first guy kiss, even if no one else can know.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Christine is definitely the easiest one to warm up to since Michael's never had established beef with her (ie she's not a Popular Kid). And even if you go the Bitter About Jeremy Pining So Hard He Almost Created A Hivemind To Be With Her thing, that's not something he can actually pin on her since she didn't actually do anything.
My unpopular opinion about this character
Idk how unpopular this is but he is NOT quick to befriend the popular kids. Yeah he's sitting at their lunch table now. Yeah they're really not so bad when they're not playing into their hierarchal roles. But almost all of them have made his and/or Jeremy's life worse in some way or another (rich's canon and jake's implicit bullying, chloe's general cruelty + dywh, jenna probably not helping their reputation pre-squip) and he holds onto that grudge for a WHILE.
(We could argue if brooke's "dating down" with jeremy had any kind of effect on how she treated their relationship, but that would mean they were both using each other and Michael can't really wish comeuppance for her when she basically already got it with jer not liking her in the first place. We literally saw Michael get revengey during The Play by demanding an apology before helping Jeremy, so it's not unreasonable to think he wants karma for the rest of the popular kids. Maybe the fire is karma enough for Jake and Rich, maybe it's not, I’m not gonna write that fic lol)
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon
DESPITE the deep grudge with the popular kids, he really doesn't take THAT long to forgive Jeremy/get back to some kind of normalcy with him. I keep putting it in fics but I'm ALL OVER Jeremy not immediately waking up after The Play. Like he's out cold for a week. And because Michael definitely WAS grudging against Jeremy all throughout the optic nerve blocking phase, he decides he has to put his anger aside because oh shit what if he doesn't wake up.
And he's been angry for so long that he just doesn't have the energy to hate Jeremy anymore. He's tired. He misses him. He always did. And now he just wants his friend back. You did not block me for all that time only to die on me after I came to save your sorry ass. Please wake up I'm sorry for being mad please just come back I can't stand being alone anymore.
I could go on and on about how this shapes later interactions with Jeremy but at that point it's going into post-canon fic that I've already written lol

Autistic Jeremy Headcanons!
Tumblr media
🎮He canonically has trouble being social with others and understanding social cues. For example, he doesn’t initiate his conversations with the popular people (Chloe and Brooke) and didn’t really understand the whole “tall ass” thing. (“I’m not even that tall..”)
🎮Has trouble making friends/close relationships with others. Micheal was the only friend he had before he got the Squip, so…
🎮He stutters around people he doesn’t know very well and in unfamiliar situations. He’s fine around the people he knows, but when he’s around Christine and in the mall, that’s pretty much out the window.
🎮Scripting! If we’re going by the original Two-River production and the Book. He writes the letter to Christine to help him explain how he feels (but flushes it) and he uses the Humiliation Sheets when navigating school.
🎮Very socially awkward. Do I need to explain this one? Lol
🎮Gets confused easily and asks a lot of questions.
🎮Doesn’t always catch or read sarcasm. (“Is this where you meet for the play?” “No, this is where you meet for the swim team.”)
🎮Desperately wants to fit in and be seen as “normal.” The main reason he even got the Squip was so he could talk to Christine and be seen as “normal”.
🎮Gets overwhelmed/overstimulated easily. (I personally saw the whole scene in the mall & Upgrade as him having sensory overload.)
🎮Occasionally has a “one track” mind. Like when he was becoming more popular and he didn’t notice how it affected the people around him.
🎮Has a strong sense of justice, when it’s needed. Like when he was trying to stop the Squip from basically taking over the school/world and getting away from Chloe. (Technically, he was forced to stay by the Squip, but he tried to do the right thing at first.) It is still a bit skewed however, considering he okay with doing the more problematic things the Squip told him to.
🎮Feels isolated from his peers and his best friend. Where Micheal’s content with being a “loser”, Jeremy isn’t and doesn’t know how to explain it to him. He’s tired of being someone’s “player two”, y’know?
🎮Basically the entirety of “Loser, Geek, or Whatever. (Seriously. Go listen to that song and then tell me that boy is not autistic.) It helps get my point across much better than I can xD.
🎮Canonically has and hears voices in his head and has trouble managing them.
🎮Has a fixation on old Nintendo games and other “retro” stuff. Like Pac-Man and AOTD.
And yeah! This is all that I have so far where. when comes to canon evidence, but I have a lot more stuff that’s just headcanons. I just wanted to actually use proof before someone comes and says “OmG nOt eVeRyThInG is AuTiStIc wHy dO yOu hAvE tO RuIn tHe CoNtEnT aNd ChArAcTeRs bY MaKiNg tHeM tHaT wAy? NoT eVerYtHiNg hAs tO HaVe aN AgEnDa So LeAvE tHe ChArAcTeRs aLoNe. TheY wErE wRiTTen tO Be tHaT waY, nOt aUtIsTic.” And look, I know it’s a mixed bag when it comes to having headcanons about being disabled. I know it looks kinda sus and pandering when like a nuerotypcal person is doing that, but please know, I’m autistic too. And I highly doubt it that my tiny corner of the internet and my personal interpretation of a fictional character is going to ruin it for the rest of the fandom. I’m not trying to force anyone to agree! This is just me! Anyway, just wanted to preface that before people got upset or sm :3.

this is quite possibly the worst thing I have ever written (not self-deprecating, just objective, I'm awesome, I love myself, blah, blah blah) but I'm sharing it bc the richjake fandom needs to be fed.
inspired by this post (link may or may not work, I'm bad at tech, it's by @theabyssgazesalsointoyou and the gist is rich wearing jake's clothes and jake loving it but I like...twisted the idea. a lot. for my own purposes.) and one of my headcanons that I can't say without spoiling the whole thing. kinda. whatever.
anywho here is this fic. i wanted it to be like 700 words but it's 2611 and I'm not giving you any hints as to what it's about, just read it!! for me!! anywho enjoy
Before moving in with Jake, Rich had spent almost every night at Michael’s house. Despite being hesitant to let a scarred arsonist sleep at their house, Michael's parents had grown to accept him as almost a son within days. He did chores, went to family events, he even started to rival Jeremy’s title as their favorite friend of Michael’s. He didn’t quite snatch the spot before Jake invited him over for dinner one night and, instead of just cooking Rich pasta, gifted him an entire bedroom and house key. (To please Michael’s parents, Rich had always called that night ‘the great kidnapping’)
Rich was endlessly grateful to Jake for letting him move in, happy to not only have his own space but also to get the privilege of waking up to see that gorgeous face in his kitchen every morning. He wouldn’t have it any other way, really.
But there was still that small part of him that was only sixteen, and though Jake gave him independence and a new type of love Rich had never thought would be directed his way (it couldn’t be romantic, Jake was straight, but there was this glowing adoration in Jake’s eyes whenever he looked in Rich’s direction that made Rich forget about the SQUIP and fire), he couldn’t offer the same familial love Michael’s household could.
So, no more than once a month, Rich would spend the night at Michael’s. It wasn’t the same as it had been before—Rich was a guest this time around rather than a resident—but Michael’s parents still lit up at the sight of him and spent the entire night feeding him and playing board games in the living room. They asked about school, girls, boys—all the things Jake subconsciously knew and didn’t need to ask about. Rich, grinning, would happily answer all their questions while Michael (sometimes with Jeremy, sometimes alone) would do something or other in the background, completely unentertained.
Rich looked forward to those nights. Jake knew he looked forward to those nights. Which was probably why he decided not to tell Rich he had a 101.8 degree fucking fever.
“Since when?!” he whisper-yelled into his phone speaker, holding it close to his mouth to keep as quiet as possible. He was hiding in Michael’s bathroom, sitting on the edge of the bathtub while Michael and his family ate dinner. He was supposed to be with them, but Brooke had been texting him non-stop for the past ten minutes, and considering their friendship mostly consisted of group events and choosing each other for group projects in classes they had together, he decided it was probably urgent enough to sneak away from dinner to see what the hell was going on.
“I don’t know!!” Brooke whisper-yelled back, mimicking Rich even though she had no reason to keep quiet, “He was complaining about having a headache earlier?”
Rich ran a stressed hand through his hair. He could hear his heel tapping against the tile floor, though he was completely unaware of the motion. He wasn’t—he wasn’t that overprotective, okay? He knew Jake could handle himself in almost any situation. But he also knew Jake was probably the most independent person he’d ever met, and if he texted Brooke asking for help (technically he’d asked for, quote, ‘love and affection’, but for him, that was practically the same thing), then he was probably on the verge of death. So yes. He was stressed. Not panic-attack-break-down kind of stress, but reaching not-abiding-to-speed-limits-on-the-way-home levels.
“Is he gonna be okay on his own?” he asked, knowing full well that whether or not Brooke said no, he’d probably still end up going home anyway. He thought mournfully back to the wonderful meal Michael’s parents had prepared for him. Honestly, with the image of Jake all alone at home, it suddenly didn’t seem that appetizing.
“I don’t know, probably. He said he threw up.”
“Fuck. Okay. You don’t need to go over, it’s fine. I’ll be there in twenty.”
“Are you sure? I can probably—”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m sure. He’ll probably be embarrassed as fuck if he finds out you had to come over and take care of him.”
“He literally asked me to.”
“He’s not mentally stable right now, it doesn’t count,” Rich replied, already getting up and opening the bathroom door.
“Fair point. Don’t tell him I told you, by the way, he doesn’t want you to know.”
“Seriously?! That ass—” he glanced down the hall to see Mrs. Mell looking at him curiously. “ —jerk,” he amended.
“Shut up. He was being nice, wanted you to enjoy Michael’s house and all.”
“Of course. I hate him. I’m gonna go now, I’ll text you when I get there. Bye.”
“B—” her voice cut off before she could finish. By the time she’d realized he’d hung up, his phone was already in his pocket as he walked back into the dining room.
Mrs. Mell was giving him an innocently hurt expression, clearly confused as to why he left dinner just to take a phone call in the bathroom. Rich felt guilt well up in his throat—-this house was quite possibly the closest thing he had to a real family—but Jake. Jake took priority over every other thing on this planet, no matter how loving or kind.
“I’m really sorry,” Rich said, walking back to his seat only to stand behind his chair rather than sit down. “Jake’s got a fever and I can’t—I gotta go make sure he’s okay.”
Mrs. Mell #2 (not Rich’s least favorite, just the second one he was introduced to) frowned.
“Aww, sweetie,” she said, “Are you sure you have to go?”
“Yeahh,” Michael said, voice drawn out by the excesses of weed he’d done before Rich arrived (Jeremy had been over, Rich didn’t want to know what they’d been doing in that basement), “Are you sureee?”
Rich was positive Michael’s parents didn’t notice his sarcasm.
“Yeah, I know, it’s terrible,” Rich said, deadpan just to piss Michael off, before turning to his parents. “Seriously, I would love to stay, but he’s a total mess. Can we reschedule for next weekend?”
Even as he said it, even as they were offering to let him take leftovers home with him, Rich was drifting towards the door, mind already focused completely on Jake. He slipped his shoes on as quickly as he could and left, offering goodbye smiles and adult-leaving-an-adult-party waves (since moving in with Jake, a lot of the things he did seemed a lot more adult now. Small talk with strangers, paying bills, going grocery shopping—growing up wasn’t nearly as life-changing as he thought it was going to be. Most of the time, it just consisted of snuggling with Jake on the couch as they did homework together).
He didn’t let his fake smile falter until he was pulling out of their driveway messily, hitting the brakes too hard when he realized he was going too fast and forgetting to switch on his turn signal until he was already rounding the corner out of their neighborhood. He considered texting Jake, but he didn’t find the time to pick up his phone between buying cold medicine from CVS and searching the isles for Jake’s favorite snacks and an herbal tea that was advertised to reduce congestion. With no update as to how Jake was doing, he ran a few red lights and ignored a few laws that were probably important for the safety of everyone on the roads on the way home.
“Jake?” he called the second he opened the door. The whole house reeked of sickness, the blinds pulled down, the lights off, and the kitchen messy. There was a pot on the stove with ramen still in it, a half-eaten pop tart on the island, and a couple of bowls on the counter. Rich cringed. Jake was a neat freak. Not a good sign.
Rich dropped his bag of stuff on the counter and cast a glance at the living room as he passed, just in case Jake was on the couch. He wasn’t.
“Jakey?” he called again, this time a bit gentler. He knocked on Jake’s bedroom door, not waiting for an answer before opening it.
Empty. Jake’s bed was a mess, the covers pulled off and all the pillows gone, but there was no Jake. Rich went as far as to check the floor on the far side of the bedroom, but that was as spotless as it had been this morning.
Okay. That was fine. This was totally fine. Stress level: phone-in-hand-to-call-the-police. Slowly reaching the-love-of-my-life-died-and-I’m-going-to-spend-the-rest-of-my-life-mourning.
“Jakey? Where are you, bro?”
The bro felt heavy in his mouth, mixed dangerously with the pure, soft, obviously romantic concern.
“R’ch?” Jake called, voice so hoarse it gave up on the ‘i’ in Rich’s name and slipped right into the ‘ch’ that sounded more like a ‘k’. Rich, previously unaware that one person could sound so completely helpless, stumbled from Jake’s room and into his own, drawn to Jake’s voice like a fucking cliche, metaphorical magnet.
“Jesus Christ,” Rich breathed. Jake was on his side, piled under both Rich’s comforter and his own. He was shivering, his face both pale and flushed with sickness. Alone. The fact he hadn’t called Rich—he’d just planned on staying here by himself—
Rich, who’d dedicated months to undoing all the damage Jake’s parents had done, sent up a curse directed both at himself for failing to notice Jake was sick earlier and Jake’s parents for leading him to believe he couldn’t ask for help when he was like this.
At least Jake had found comfort in Rich’s clothes, apparently. Four of Rich’s shirts were strewn across the bed and one of his favorite hoodies was being used as a pillow. Another was being used as a stuffed animal, Jake snuggling it with his mouth and nose burrowed in the fabric. Rich, for the life of him, could not figure out why Jake would do such a thing, considering he could hear his rattling breathing from here.
“‘M not feelin’ good,” Jake said, muffled by the shirt. Rich laughed incredulously as he knelt next to the bed and pressed the back of his hand against Jake’s forehead.
“Yeah, buddy, I can tell. What’re you doing in my bed? You trying to get me sick too?”
For some reason, that seemed to upset Jake. His breathing quickened without deepening, and Rich could practically hear Jake’s snot leaking onto Rich’s hoodie. Disgusting.
“No,” Jake whispered, his voice cracking, “No, Richie, I’d never, I swear, I—”
“I know, I know, it was a joke,” he replied quietly, making a small ‘shh’ing sound to try and soothe him.
Rich could see Jake frowning even behind his sweatshirt. As gently as he could, he reached for the fabric to take it away from Jake’s mouth, hoping it could help him breathe easier. The second he tried, though, Jake made a whining sound and shuffled away, hugging it closer and letting out a tiny sob.
“No.”
“No? Okay, that’s okay. But don’t you think moving it will help you breathe?”
Jake shook his head ‘no.’ Rich frowned. Okay, different approach then.
“You’re getting snot all over my sweatshirt,” he said, plain and simple if not a bit accusatory. He sounded so much more apathetic than he felt. He was playing this ‘straight boy who doesn’t care that you look so small and helpless and oh my god I want to kiss you,  wait, no I don’t, I’m straight’ character really well.
That, unsurprisingly, got Jake to let go of it long enough for Rich to pull the sweatshirt away and add it to his growing pile of laundry. There was shuffling behind him as Jake tried to sit up.
“Do you need anything?” Rich asked, turning back to Jake, “Soup? Medicine? A… Jake?”
Jake was upright and crying. Straight-up tears pouring down his face, eyes red and lips pursed pathetically. He was clenching the comforter against his chest and trying to hide his face behind it without getting snot on it as Rich had previously complained about.
‘What’s—holy shit, what’s wrong?”
Rich shot across the room, searching Jake for some injury that could cause him to fucking—
Rich had never seen Jake cry before. He didn’t know what to do. He wanted to run and hide, to protect himself from such an unholy sight, but he couldn’t bring himself to leave Jake here. Alone.
“‘M sorry,” Jake sobbed, collapsing forward onto Rich’s shoulder. Rich could feel Jake’s fever through his shirt and, not caring if he got sick, wrapped his arms around Jake and pulled him closer. “I didn’t wanna—I just missed you so much, and you were so so far away and you’re so tiny—”
Instinctively, in a desperate attempt to return some normalcy, Rich squeaked out, “I’m not that short!!”
Jake shook his head and cried harder. Rich ran a soothing hand through his hair.
“You’re so short your stupid sweatshirt doesn’t fit—”
Rich paused.
“I’m—what?”
“You—” Jake rasped through tears, “—you always wear my stupid sweatshirt when you’re sad and… and I thought it might make me happy if I could smell you, or pretend you’re here and not at stupid Michael’s, but—but you’re so small it doesn’t fit, and I tried to hug it but it wasn’t enough because I was cold and you’re warm and if you were with me I would never ever be cold, so—so I came here and I didn’t mean to mess up your clothes ‘nd make you angry.”
If Jake continued like this, Rich’s heart was going to erode away into nothing but Jake Jake Jake. He was going to get a false sense of hope that nothing could break. The world was already more golden than it had been before, already so much brighter despite the fact Jake was crying.
“I’m not angry, idiot. I just wanted you to be able to breathe.”
Jake’s sobbing ceased. Nuzzling deeper against Rich, he whispered, sounding childish, “Are you sure?”
“Of course. Of course, dumbass.”
Jake tried to laugh with relief, but all that came out was a coarse groan and unhappy sigh. Rich kissed Jake’s forehead as he untangled himself and laid Jake back down on the bed, ignoring Jake’s protests.
“I’m not letting myself get sick, but I promise you, you can have my entire closet until you're better, yeah?” Rich said, unable to stop his giddy smile.
Jake gave him a sleepy but content sound of agreement.
“I wan' that stupid shirt with the nerdy science pun on it," Jake breathed, already drifting off to sleep.
If any other sick person in the universe was asking, Rich would flip them off and tell them it was his favorite shirt and no one could touch it. No one was even allowed to eat spaghetti at the same table as him while he was wearing it.
But it was pretty, smart, perfect Jake, so Rich took it off its hanger and gave it to the poor guy to snuggle with for the next three days.
(And if, while Jake was still delirious with fever and sound asleep, Rich snuck from the house and to Target just to get a sweatshirt for himself in Jake’s size, then no one needed to know. If he had to hide his smile behind his hand when he walked into their apartment a week and a half later to find Jake cooking dinner in that same sweatshirt, then only God was his witness. If he was so overwhelmed at the sight that he grabbed the drawstrings and dragged Jake down to his height to kiss him, then that was between him and Jake.
And everyone else. Because Jake, apparently, felt the immediate need to brag about getting ‘Rich fucking Goranski, like the hottest guy fucking EVER to kiss me, Jenna, he kissed me. Me!!')

Dark Regressor!Jeremy Heere Headcanons
(From my Ao3 account StarLite_StarBrite. This is mainly a sideblog/more age regression centric part of my first/main blog, 2ndStar_ontheright. We're the same person, it's just this blog is gonna be more focused on age regression/writing regarding it and nostalgic stuff that I'm too embarrassed to post to my main one xD)
TW for PTSD, nightmares, abuse, and coping with trauma. These are darker than my usual headcanons, but there'll be some more wholesome stuff later on!
Jeremy didn’t really know what regression was until about a month before he got the Squip, but the first time he recognized himself doing it was right after his parents divorced. (Usually involuntary and triggered by panic attacks/nightmares, though.)
He knows his dad loves him, but after his mom left, the roles were reversed. For the better half of his life, he had to play the dad and take care of himself. Left to pick up the pieces when all he wanted, needed, was his father, but despite all his wishing, it didn’t come until it was almost too late.
Doesn’t have a regression age because 1. He refuses to acknowledge it and 2. He suppresses it so much to the point that he ends up an anxious mess in the middle of the night.
He’s become a master at hiding it, but God, is it exhausting.
Pre-Squip, he would ignore it and shrug it off. But, during and after, it happens much more frequently.
Has bad memories/angry feelings towards it. Especially because he’d get “punished’ (electric-shocked) by the Squip whenever he had the slightest thought about regressing.
As much as he resents and has flashbacks/trauma from his Squip, a small part of him misses and often longs for the kind of figure he played in his life. He played that strong male figure to him that he wished his father had been. He’s ashamed to admit it, but it felt..nice. Having him in control, guiding him, paying attention to him, even though all of that was just the mask for his abuse.
No one knows about it except for his dad, and surprisingly, Rich.
Rich, having understood what Jeremy went through, is genuinely concerned for him.
He knows about his triggers (taking pills on their own, glitch-y screen/design effects, yelling, fighting…) and relates to him in that aspect.
He may not completely understand the regression thing, he tries his best. Especially when it’s related to the Squip.
And as much as he loves Michael, he has no idea how he’d explain it to him or how he’d react. He doesn’t want to risk losing their friendship over it and even though he does care about him and knows Michael’s a good friend, he just knows Michael would tease him about it.
Even though his dad’s stepped in and started to do better, it doesn’t make the years of loneliness and isolation he had go away. He helps out the best he can though even if he doesn’t know the extent of his regression. Jeremy does still feel alone however, and sometimes it feels like it doesn’t get any better. He’s still ashamed that he does it, but at least he’s not completely on his own.

jeremy heere
I can always count on you ily
Headcanon A:  realistic - Jeremy still carries remnants of the Squip. Even if it's completely disabled, damage has been done. Also he cries very easily.
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious - Jeremy sucks absolute ASS at video games. He never wins. He's terrible, genuinely awful, he plays all the time but he's oh so bad at them. Michael annihilates his ass
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends - Jeremy probably smells bad and has overall bad hygiene and self care. His depression and parental neglect led to this, he rarely showers, never eats enough, doesn't wash his clothes or clean his room or change his sheets. Nothing. He sits in his own mess and rots. It'll take him a while to learn how to actually take care of himself. He's not clean. (Another reason he's never had many friends) he's used to being alone, invisible and uncared for so when he does befriend people and has hangouts with them, he doesn't know what to do? He just stands around. He doesn't request anything, he just exists. He says he requires little effort and that he's stress free but in reality he's just used to not living and surviving on things that get him through.
Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own. - Jeremy's favorite color is pink. He'll never admit it. He also likes wearing skirts since they feel freeing and he almost feels pretty in them :) (I'm not saying he's a trans girl, though he could be thats not my intention with this hc, he's just a guy with a feminine side)

Y'all were so amazing about my random "Be More Chill" poll (thank you so much for voting it was so lovely seeing all the responses it got) that I've decided to share some headcanons about the "Be More Chill" Genderbent AU I made up quite a long time ago on my Instagram. These are all specifically related to Genderbent Michael:
Micha (yes, I named her Micha, yes that is a name that can be used for girls) is secretly insecure about herself since people, except for Jamie (Genderbent Jeremy), only see her as “one of the guys” because she likes rolling skating, video games, and other activities like that. It got to the point that she grew out her hair to seem more feminine. This may or may not be exacerbated by her being transgender, but I haven't decided if I want her to be trans or not. Her long hair is actually the only thing the Squip liked about Micha, so during “Michael (Micha) in the Bathroom” she cuts it off due to mourning her friendship with Jamie and to take control against the Squip.
Micha's secretly jealous of Christian (Genderbent Christine), who she thinks is super self-assured and comfortable in his own skin; however, Jamie is jealous of Micha because to her Micha is the self-assured, comfortable one. Micha is also secretly jealous of Jamie for trying to get into the popular crowd and succeeding for that brief period of time. Yes, this is kind of canon, but I wanted to mention it anyway, while we're on the subject of jealousy.
The only time she feels confident in herself is when she’s playing video games with Jamie since she’s Player One and more skilled at them than she is. Since Jamie doesn’t just see her as “one of the guys” (for obvious reasons) she feels comfortable enough to put her hair up in a ponytail around Jamie. This only happens when they’re alone, though.
She used to be pretty close with Rachel (Genderbent Rich) during Freshman year, and their relationship could be a whole post on its own. However, Rachel stopped talking to her after getting a Squip and becoming popular. Micha remains the only person who remembers Rachel (now Rach) from Freshman year.

God I love getting back into a hyperfixation/special interest after going through some character development. I just binged the be more chill musical and now all I can think about is the idea of the SQUIP alone in Jeremy's brain, its access taken, unable to feel or see or hear, but still alive, still aware that Jeremy is living, triumphing, while it is forced to rust in isolation.
Anyway someone please ask me about my theories and headcanons if you do I will be in love with you forever /lh /p

Fairy for Squip // Dragon for Jonah Magnus // Poison for The Distortion
Monotype Teams! || ACCEPTING
Squip -  Fairy
Tumblr media
Because Squip as an entity originated in Japan, tried to keep it to Pokes that could be found in those regions and Unova for the fact it came to the U.S.  ( Obviously this included friends introduced in Kalos that then could be found in Hoenn in OR/AS )
Jonah -  Dragon
Tumblr media
By contrast, since Jonah is from England, I stuck only with Pokes found in Galar!  Jonah isn’t one for battling, but this team is the equivalent of Brutal Pipe Murder.  Duraludon is just a very blatant reference to the Panopticon.  Dragonair is lowkey here just to look pretty; he’s a vain man.  He’d never let it evolve.
Distortion -  Poison
Tumblr media
Similarly stuck with folks from the Galar Pokedex.  Not much to say except that I did do a Poison Monotype run in Sword ( no expansions ) and that team is so fucking brutal.  It is so mean.  I think I still need to finish post-game stuff on that run lmao.

Any more villain x reader stuff in the pipelines? Anything dark?
That's very vague XDD 'Villain' stuff is literally all I do here. I have so much 'villain x reader stuff' haha XDD I could show you screencaps of my draft folders (Yes plural) man, oof.
But as for DARK stuff- I have the following... which is still quite a bit. Oops.
Creepypasta:
Drabbles:
♤ Offenderman x SexSlave!Soulmate!Reader- The only way Offender could win his soulmate over was through blackmail // You don't realise that all this, all of what you've been put through by him, was for nothing. No, he keeps that little tid-bit for the moment you finally give in to him, truly. Until then he just stays silent, and smirks.
♣︎ Slenderman x Captive!Reader- The only one that can set his blind furies at bay, or make him relax at all, is kept in a bunker under the mansion.
♥︎ Teacher!Splenderman x HornyHighschoolStudent(18 Yrs)!Reader- Splender has lived a long, long life and generally he has been able to handle whatever has been thrown at him with grace- but right now he's in a dark place, and so you get just what you want. What he knows he should not give.
♢ Trenderman x Reader- You're Trender's inspiration, his muse! You, and your beautiful, introverted innocence, are the cause of one Trender's greatest lines- but what happens when you start to branch out? Come out of your shell a bit? Try new things? Trender not having it, that's what.
Disney Villains:
Drabbles:
Charles Muntz x Assistant!Reader- Your punishment for letting the creature escape.
Human!Chick Hicks x King’s(OfAge)Offspring!Reader- An old rival of your Dad’s turns up for your parents anniversary party and immediately, inappropriately, sets his sights on you. You’re into it, weirdly.
Human!Yandere!Lots-O-Huggin’ Bear x NewToy!Reader- Classic Yandere sets his sights on you immediately and makes you uncomfortable with how close he wants you all the time without making his obsession totally clear.
Randall Boggs x Sully’sRomanticInterest!Reader- Randall has a bit of an obsession with one upping Mike and Sully, and Celia doesn't like him much at all, so... He’s set his sights on you.
Oneshots:
(Jim Starling) / Negaduck x Reader: Veteran actor Jim Starling comes to give you some acting tips!- and is super sleazy, while he's at it.
Ursula x Fem!Reader: Good old yandere smut.
The Evil Queen x Fem!Reader: She is using you for a spell and its going to be really difficult for you, so she finds away to distract you. (Its consensual but there are QUITE a few triggers involved with this one. Its gonna be full on)
Gotham:
Drabbles
Dwight Pollard x Jerome’sS/O!Reader x Jerome Valeska- You were Jerome’s consort before he died so, of course, when Dwight ‘becomes’ Jerome, he has you kidnapped and brought to him as well. Then Jerome comes back.
Mad Hatter / Jervis Tetch x New’Alice’!JimGordonsDaughter!Reader- Jervis decides that you are his new Alice and the next thing you know, you’re in her dress tied to a chair and this psycho wants to have a tea party. Will you father get to you in time?
(Riddler) / Edward Nygma x Ed’sS/O!Reader- After the darker side of Eddie, or the ‘Riddler’ fully takes over the body, he reveals an infatuation with you and forces you to stay with him despite your heartbreak. One day, you walk in on your Ed back. For only a little bit.
Headcanons:
Jervis Tetch x Fem!Reader: Basically you growing up with Jervis and Alice and Jervis trying to assimilate you into his little made up family has his wife, with Alice as your child.
Horror Villains:
Drabbles:
Musical Theatre!Horror Villains x Reader, including the following-
-BigBadWolf!Freddy Krueger- (Human Freddy. Post highschool so Loretta has sorta cleaned his reputation but pre arrest) You trust him, of course you do! Its just Freddy! He lives down the street from you and he goes to the same stupid, neighbourhood barbecues as you. But... you still shouldn't be in his house, alone with him.
- SQUIP!Patrick Bateman: Your SQUIP is really helpful! He even teaches you how to please a man- but are his intentions totally pure? Or has he done the calculations and realised you're better off with him?
- Scar!Sheriff Hoyt/Charlie Hewitt: The Madness of King Scar scene of-bloody-course. Hoyt's just become Hoyt; He's feeling top of the world, successful for once, powerful- the only thing he's missing... is... a family of his own (Of his own loins at least). And it just so happens that you, Thomas' mate, are the only viable vagina within a hundred mile radius. Uh, congrats?
Headcanons:
Horror Villains (Including: Billy Loomis, Bubba Sawyer, Mayor Buckman, Carrie White, Chop Top Sawyer, Chucky / Charles Lee Ray, Drayton Sawyer, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Jennifer Check, Sheriff Hoyt / Charlie Hewitt, Michael Myers, Patrick Bateman, Pennywise OG, Stu Macher and Thomas Hewitt.): What fighting with them is like, as their S/O/ (Plus Make-Up, which is not so dark XD)
Oneshots:
Poly!Frason x Fem!Reader: Now this one is more SOFT darkness but only because Jason and Freddy ARENT the ones hurting reader. Basically, reader (F and J's hostage/mate) gets sexually assaulted by a victim and you need their combined efforts in order to feel safe again.
Freddy Krueger x FinalGirl!Reader: Years after you defeated Freddy the first time, you think you're safe again and its weird but suddenly you're starting to feel something for your awkward neighbour Toby who isn't really awkward anymore and is actually a lot of fun to be around- but what you don't know is that it may not be Toby, there... (Inspired by that line in 'Halloween' by Aqua: 'She'll never kiss the boy next door')
The Clown (DBD) x Reader: You are having an affair with one of the men that tortures you every day. You're saying its 'a morbid curiosity'.
Patrick Bateman x Reader: Inappropriate Boss/Assistant relationship gets WAY worse when you get pregnant.
MultiVillains:
Drabble Sets:
(Including Inkubus, Jerry Dandridge, Kahmunrah, Offenderman, Patrick Bateman, and The Riddler.): You’re a ‘Lady of the night’ and you’ve been promised, or sold, to (Villain) permanently… but you’ve fallen in love with another man. (Villain), in a jealous act, orders you to reject the one you love, and break his heart. (Inspired by 'El Tango De Roxanne' from Moulin Rouge)

The possibly spicy take/HC of Jeremy somewhat unintentionally isolating himself from those who care about him/he cares about after everything with the squip because he feels an immense amount of guilt from the damage he caused to those around him and he doesn't know how to fix it and in an irrational moment he decides he's better off alone than risking hurting those he cares about
This headcanon does in fact reject the canon ending of BMC because I personally find it unrealistic and rushed+I don't love the definitive manner it implies that everything is immediately fine and good again.
Hey um fucking ouch

okay ive been wanting to make a post like this for a while but i wanted to make it an essay and i dont know if i can really organize my thoughts in that way yet, so here’s a chronological bullet-pointed dump to explain my very important thesis:
be more chill is about internalized ableism, and jeremy, michael, and christine are all highly autistic coded. this is going to be very long and detailed but only because there’s a lot of details that work very well under this lens.
there’s probably even stuff i missed but this is already extremely long so it basically just functions as a way for me to collect a bunch of details that i can piece together later in a more coherent manner.
“more than survive” in the context of jeremy being autistic works so much. the theme of wanting to be just socially acceptable enough to not burn out or be harassed is so relatable, and it visually establishes very early how jeremy is isolated from his peers due to his own awkward behavior and hypersensitivity. it’s coupled with his very obvious anxiety disorder, but the social aspect just screams autistic coding to me. i take this song to basically be “not having a meltdown is basically my goal but i would love to be neurotypical enough so i can heighten my standards and actually enjoy my social life.” some choice segments:
“if i’m not feeling weird or super strange, my life would be in utter disarray, cuz freaking out is my okay”
jeremy’s house being a mess is partly due to his dad’s serious depression, yeah, but i believe the other aspect is that jeremy’s executive dysfunction makes it just as hard to clean up in his place
he gets super anxious at the prospect of his expected routine being shaken up and having to make the decision on his own of how to get to school
“so i follow my own rules and i use them as my tools to stay alive” honestly sounds like a euphemism for autism to me
jeremy not really realizing that he’s staring at chloe
“avoiding any eye contact at all” explains itself
michael’s introduction, oh my god, every time i watch this part i just adore it. i could talk a lot more about michael’s autism later but this whole segment sells it especially.
first off, michael keeping his hood up and headphones on in a deliberate attempt to avoid social interaction and stay in his own space is such an autistic mood. even before this scene he’s constantly moving in the background to his music a la stimming. in the later performances he spends a lot more time playing with his hoodie strings and even chews on them!!
the fact he doesn’t talk to or even really look at jeremy until his song is done playing also feels very autistic to me! and the way he dances so confidently and basically pretends even his best friend isn’t there for the time being because he’s engrossed in his own passions.
michael is a great friend but it’s clear that he doesn’t really understand that his coping mechanism doesn’t really work for jeremy, and that even though michael feels confident reclaiming his identity as a ‘loser,’ jeremy doesn’t really feel any better about it. i think a lot of autistic folks, or at least i do, have this tendency to assume what works for us works for everyone around us at first due to our struggles with empathy. michael tries his best but struggles to see outside his point of view. it’s mind-blindness in action and jeremy can’t communicate why it upsets him any better than michael can pick up on it not working for him.
near the end of the song, they have a brief moment where all the ensemble crowds in around jeremy and the lights start flashing, which i interpret as a visual representation of sensory overload.
we’ll talk more about her soon, but outside of jeremy’s fantasies about her, christine also avoids social interaction during this number, constantly hiding her face in a book and avoiding eye contact just as much as jeremy. people forget that she’s not comfortable with unexpected social interaction, and that really informs my headcanon for her which brings us to....
“i love play rehearsal” is an autistic anthem. it also works, possibly even better due to in-text evidence, as an adhd anthem, but combined with the above it makes so much sense for her to be comorbid autism/adhd. i did a breakdown of the song in this context before, but i’ll sum it up here
the song showcases what having a special interest/hyperfixation is like. christine is singing to jeremy, yes, but she really seems so caught up in her own passion without much regard for how jeremy is following it, and even cuts him off from responding to her once or twice because she’s just so hyped up on her own feelings. she also basically implies her happiness is reliant on her special interest which is very relatable.
lines like “you follow a script so you know what comes next” also really sell the interpretation that christine isn’t good in unpredictable situations, and has so many identity issues and likes having something to look to where things are laid out for her. i think that stability is what a lot of autistic people look for, especially teenagers.
also with that in mind, look at how upset she gets watching a play she loves about get rewritten into something weird and new that she doesn’t know.
also gotta love how she still self-isolates before this song by focusing on her book, until she has a reason to infodump to jeremy. and then feels guilty afterwards and goes right back into her book while apologizing for getting “carried away”....biiiig mood there
the whole intro scene showcases both of their awkwardness so much. jeremy gets completely thrown off by her sarcastic comment about the swim team and almost believes it, which implies that he can’t read tone very well. and then christine’s “you’re a virgin” comment comes across like she really didn’t think about how that would sound to jeremy before saying it since she only made the clarification after he was ready to panic about it. she has a habit of speaking before she thinks, i think, the self-harm comment is also very awkward considering she barely knows jeremy.
after that scene we get “more than survive reprise” where jeremy admits to routinely having such bad breakdowns that he needs to step out and go to the nurse which works for both the anxiety disorder and the autism interpretation.
i’m not quite sure whether i see rich as autistic (i see him with a lot of mental issues for sure though) so i can’t say much on “the squip song” but there’s definitely something to describing a confused autistic kid as “almost helpless.” rich definitely has a habit of giving too much information though, i’ll say that.
“two player game” is just jeremy and michael being autistic solidarity: the song. i guess this is a good place to say that jeremy and michael work well as a contrast b/w two sides of autistic community, the side that struggles to function and desperately wants a change bc they’re afraid of being alone forever, and the side that tries to love all their symptoms and embrace their autistic pride. and as coincidental icing on the cake, jeremy wears blue (associated with the derogatory views from autism speaks) and michael wears red (associated with combating said views through autistic pride).
btw you could probably attribute michael’s ability to casually down a long-expired crystal pepsi as a sort of weird sensory quirk. and his fixation w/ that sort of memorabilia honestly feels like a special interest in its own right!
both “nice sideburns....wolverine, right” and “like in x-men????” using fiction as a reference point for real life always gives me autistic vibes (esp the first point where he awkwardly uses it to start conversation). can we assume x-men is a special interest? :3
jake referring to jeremy as a ‘freak’ when the squip turns on is really sad in this context but it also does make so much sense
now we get to the squip.....and what do you know, it uses tactics from abusive therapy used on autistic children. dare i say that “be more chill” as a song isn’t just an abuser’s song, but an ableist’s abuser’s song.
first off, the “spinal stimulation.” here’s a not so fun fact: electroshock therapy has been used to discourage autistic behavior in very recent years. (content warning in link for graphic description of ableist torture)
then the lyrics, in which the squip mostly focuses on jeremy’s posture and physically punishes him for disobeying. jeremy is shown to really struggle to stand up straight and pose himself in a normal, confident way, and i think that tendency to be unaware of what our body is doing is a pretty autistic thing?
the fact the squip singles out stammering and refers to jeremy’s “tics and fidgets” brings attention to two more autistic traits of jeremy’s
the squip basically punishes jeremy for responding “incorrectly” to social situations like rejecting brooke, even if they aren’t objectively wrong. it eventually just starts speaking for jeremy because jeremy seems incapable of acting natural. the squip is an abusive autism parent.
“sync up” demonstrates jeremy’s weird relationship with empathy. he wants to be nice to everyone- will has even called him “deeply empathetic”- but he’s initially really bad at seeing other people’s point of view, which is why he positions himself as sort of against the world, seeing everyone as better than him or trying to set up these barriers of Coolness where everyone else must be perfect compared to him. he’s so surprised to learn that the popular kids also hurt because of his strict idea of the social structure. it’s a combination of low self esteem and a black-and-white viewpoint.
let’s go back to christine. the squip, already established as ableist abuser, finds her “highly unusual” for acting in a way that disregards everyone who views her. she has very strange and specific visions in her head, and it seems very natural for her even if jeremy struggles to follow along.
in later performances, she chews on her sleeve and spins around during AGTIKBI. that’s stimming, babes. also gotta acknowledge “i don’t always relate to other people my age, except when i’m on the stage”
i’m gonna use this section to talk about jake and christine. christineis a bit unsure when interacting with jake, until he validates her interest- her acting is what really touches him. but jake, while good-hearted, has trouble being self-centered and thus not fully aware of christine’s own needs and space. so christine is always a little uncomfortable around him, especially in public, and not always willing to socialize. he is right about her being kind of stuck in her comfort zone, though, not doing anything off of her stage. and he is genuinely nice to her, it’s just a matter of their social strategies clashing.
the fact that the squip blocks out michael...i’ve had a lot of times in my life where i was told that socializing with other “weird” people would be counterproductive for my social development and it was part of why i was stuck with so few friends. so i really feel the idea that blocking out the person who helps you feel confident in your atypicality is framed as a good thing so you can act more socially adept, and that doing otherwise would just drag you both down.
hot DAMN does “loser geek whatever” make so much sense for an autistic kid with internalized ableism.
“it’s not only school that’s rough, being lonely’s stupid tough” makes it pretty clear this isn’t about the school social scene as muc as it is the entire social scene of the world. we may not see it, but it’s just (not) interacting with people in general that jeremy can’t stand.
“michael says that weird is rad but feeling weird just makes me sad” as stated above, makes a Lot More Sense with the idea that michael is both a more confident autistic and really bad at addressing jeremy’s own internalized ableism and desire to make connections outside his small friend group.
everything about jeremy boiling down all his problems to his “instincts” sucking and needing to basically be told what to do really highlights how autistic kids can feel broken because of their inability to fit into the social norm, to the point where we repress every behavior that actually makes us feel comfortable and unique.
not to mention the line about him being seen as a “normal handsome guy” since autistic people tend to be infantilized and never seen as desirable (will roland also implied this line has trans coding which is another discussion altogether but i feel i should acknowledge that here)
all of those terms that jeremy calls himself near the end- namely weirdo, misfit, oddball, freak, failure- all of this sounds like the shit people throw at autistic kids. like this goes beyond anxiety alone, this is jeremy being outcasted and oppressed by the general public due to his behavior. especially the “please don’t speak” part, considering how often autistic kids are mocked for misunderstanding when to speak, how to speak, and what to talk about. jeremy needs some freaking love. :(
“michael in the bathroom” is a panic attack, related to severe anxiety, but i do see a lot of aspects that play into autism as well. the little nervous stimmy movements of foot-bouncing and picking at grout, the explosive sensory overload during the “knock knock” section of the bridge, the whole concept of losing the only person you ever managed to connect to without sacrificing who you are, dealing with this massive change to your sense of philosophy and reality where you pinned everything on one person to ground yourself, and thus you’re now completely lost trying to isolate yourself from this big overwhelming social gathering...neurodivergent anthem all around.
jeremy and christine’s couch interactions during halloween give me such autistic positivity. christine basically echolales jeremy’s weird noise and they both have so much fun vocal stimming that they forget there’s another person in the room. it’s such a sweet moment until jeremy ruins it by realizing that asking her out right after a breakup is Not Really Good For Her.
christine’s reaction to the fire demonstrates a clear case of hyperempathy to me. it isn’t discussed as much as a complete lack of empathy, but autistic folks are prone to feeling way too much especially when it comes to others’ pain. christine talking about how she hates that everyone’s hurting and desperately wants to help but doesn’t know how, and how we’ve already seen how much she struggles to connect with others like jake....it’s a very relatable, very specific autistic mood.
going back to the theme of jeremy and empathy, christine’s above hyperempathy kind of breaks this mold, and while jeremy always does feel for the other kids, by this point he feels so strongly- particularly for christine, who he also saw as a perfect confident being until now- that the squip can manipulate him into “fixing” everyone the same way the squip was supposed to “fix” him. and he never considers that christine doesn’t need to be fixed because he just projects his own insecurity that strongly onto everyone else who seems “weird” in the same kind of way- hence why he assumes michael is jealous of him back in MITB. it’s likely a result of the squip’s manipulation but i feel like mind-blindness is a factor, even if jeremy switches between struggling to process others’ emotions and being extremely empathetic.
michael’s special interest saves the day!!! :D
the whole fight b/w jeremy and michael, assuming it comes from a genuine place of repressed bitterness, has a lot of added subtext with them both being autistic. jeremy accusing michael of “giving up” on social interaction, michael envies jeremy for trying bc michael is clearly Not comfortable in most large social settings, jeremy envies michael for his pride, it just hits home for me i guess
rich calling michael “antisocial headphones kid” honestly how is michael not canon autistic
in the off-bway version michael briefly speaks too loud forgetting that jeremy’s head still hurts which is a relatable Forgot About Boundaries thing. plus him smacking rich playfully forgetting that rich is Still In Pain
“voices in my head” works nice as a fuck-societal-norms-and-just-be-happy song. “embrace the traits that make you so odd” in particular :’)
jeremy remembering christine’s infodump about her obscure bowling alley performance art idea and bringing it up to her again!!!
the squip doesn’t go away because ableism and the anxiety it brings and all the upsetting symptoms of autism don’t go away, but with the right support and confidence you can live with them!!! good message for mental disorders in general and works very well in this context!!!
so in conclusion.....be more chill is autistic pride!!!

Spicy Bis Headcanon(s)
It all starts after Jeremy is discharged from the hospital.
Jeremy decides to visit the hospital every few days to see Rich. He starts seeing him because he feels bad that Rich has to stay in his room alone once Jer is gone. At first, everything is a little awkward.
Jeremy doesn’t know how to act around the “real Richard Goranski”, and it’s hard adjusting to Rich’s new, genuine personality. Jeremy’s almost off-put by Rich’s kindness, but eventually he starts to understand and actually really starts to enjoy seeing Rich.
Before Jeremy was discharged from the hospital, Rich went on an hour long rant about how he was so sick of hospital food, and after hanging out for a while, Jeremy then made it his mission to come back with fast food at least once a week.
Rich would never admit it, but the first time Jeremy showed up with food, he just about sobbed with joy.
After a few visits, Michael starts tagging along as well. At first, he feels really awkward and still doesn’t know how to talk to Rich. Both because of Rich’s previous behavior because of his squip, but also because Michael doesn’t know where they stand personally. Obviously they spoke a few words here and there when Michael had been visiting Jeremy, but they never had any substantial conversations together.
Michael and Rich have an easy reconciliation by bonding over 90’s music, and drag out a joke about Smash Mouth for almost too long.
Eventually, Michael gets used to being around Rich, and all three of them end up having some really good times together.
Once Rich is healed and they’re both in school, Rich is actually the first one to approach Jeremy.
Jeremy, who had been getting used to school life again, has a moment where he convinces himself that Rich wouldn’t actually want to hang out with him.
Jeremy starts avoiding Rich for a few days, thinking that maybe Rich wouldn’t want to see him. He rationalizes this idea by saying: “The hospital was different. Rich wouldn’t want to be seen at school with a loser like me.”
Rich has to be the one to step forward. He approaches with a wide smile, and opens up with some dumb line like: “Hey tall asth, where’ve you been?”
Jeremy is nervous, but after a few minutes of easy conversation, he lightens up.
They both laugh and talk the same way they did at the hospital, and Jeremy gets the courage to ask Rich where they stand in their friendship.
Rich reassures him that he enjoys Jeremy’s company, and they end up making plans to hang out.
Being back at school causes Rich to confront the fact that a lot of kids are still spreading rumors about him, and some start to judge him for his scars.
Rich reacquaints himself with his friends as his new un-squipped self. They easily accept him, after all, he’s still the same short, meme-worthy guy they’ve always known.
Unfortunately, some of Rich’s friends, such as Jake, make jokes at Rich’s expense, trying to lighten the mood. They aren’t meant to be hurtful, but with everything going on, it sends Rich over the edge and he ends up needing to leave class to calm down.
Rich decides to hide out in the bathroom.
He comes close to crying before Jeremy shows up and finds him there. Rich ends up confiding in Jeremy as Jeremy calms him down. Rich talks about the fire and what lead him to do it, his scars, and even his lisp.
Jeremy tells Rich that he’s fine the way he is, lisp and all, and that his scars look, quote, “badass”.
They end up hugging it out.
Jeremy is a big factor in Rich being able to adjust and cope with being back at school, and dealing with his self-confidence.
After dealing with his feelings, Rich confronts Jake and the others about how he feels, and after a rough conversation and several shared apologies, they reconcile. Rich and Jake both mutually apologize for not realizing how bad everything had affected the other, and quickly fall back into old habits and good humor.
Rich goes back to Jeremy and thanks him for everything. Jeremy and Rich start spending more time together. They start hanging out before school, walking to classes together, finding excuses to say hi to each other in the halls...
It’s Jeremy who realizes his feelings first.
Jeremy, being shy and having anxiety, starts finding it harder to talk to Rich without stuttering.
Rich eventually realizes what’s troubling Jeremey, and end ups realizing his own feelings as well. Jake is the first person he tells about it.
After a moment of stunned, but supportive conversation, Jake encourages him to go for it. Rich ends up asking Michael what he should do to impress Jeremy.
Michael is skeptical at first, convinced that it’s some sort of weird, elaborate prank. His doubts are immediately erased after he asks Rich why he would want to ask Jeremy out, and Rich has literal heart-eyes when he says Jeremy’s name.
Michael ends up agreeing to help out.
Rich takes a notebook full of notes.
Rich is bold, yet slightly awkward when he asks Jeremy on a date. “So uh, hey. I’ve been thinking. Ya knowww, since I’m like, totally Bi and all, and we’ve been spending a lot of time together or whatever, I was thinking, pshh, I don’t know, would you... uh,”
- both speaking at the same time -
“Are you asking me on a date?/Would you wanna go on a date”?
Jeremy takes a second to freak out because “omg is Rich Goranski actually asking me on a date?”
Jeremy manages stutter out an ecstatic yes.
They end up going to a retro arcade due to Michael’s promise that Jeremy would love it. He did. Rich, to his surprise, also had a really good time playing games.
During their date, Rich is very non-verbally affectionate. Rich just finds reasons to touch Jeremy’s arms, or lean against his side, or press their knees together... anything to show that he’s interested and comfortable.
Rich also does everything he can to try and win Jeremy a prize, but he’s not as good at the machines as Jer. Jeremy is actually the one who ends up winning Rich a prize. Rich cherishes his weird arcade alien plushie forever.
After having such a good time, and both having gone home to their own houses, they both freak out over their relationship, trying to figure out if they’re official or not.
It’s soon, but they’re both eager and giddy.
That night, Jeremy is practicing what he would say to Rich in his mirror, and Rich is pacing his room. Jeremy ends up deciding to frantically call Rich before he loses his nerve. Saying something like: “So like- I don’t know what this is but like I had a good time and I just um, was thinking that maybeweshouldlikeactuallydate. ...like officially.”
After a few weeks, they decide to announce themselves as official.
Rich is very excited and vocal about their relationship. When they first decide to announce that they’re official, Rich can’t help himself from going overboard and goes throughout the day finding excuses to mention “his boyfriend Jeremy”. He’s also not shy about PDA and finds himself smacking Jeremy’s ass when he sees him.
Once Jeremy asks Rich to “maybe dial it down” on the PDA, Rich listens, but still can’t help but to make excuses to talk about Jeremy to all of his friends.
After about a week to adjust, Rich calms down and doesn’t bring Jeremy up as much. But if he ever needs to tell a story that involves Jeremy he makes sure to STRESS “his BOYFRIEND Jeremy said this or did that”
Don’t take it the wrong way either. Jeremy ISNT shy about their relationship. He just has no idea how the hell to bring it up or really explain that they’re together. Jeremy takes the same week as Rich to just figure out what he’s doing.
Jeremy somehow finds the most awkward ways to say that he’s with Rich, and even tries practicing a few lines on Michael. One day while he’s practicing in his head, he blurts out a line in the middle of a conversation:
“I like Rich and Rich likes me, I like my friends and my friends like me.”
Michael: “Jeremy, what the fuck.”
Despite being very touchy, it actually takes them a while to have their first kiss.
It happens when they’re spending time at Jeremy’s house.
They had just gone out on a chill movie date, and had gone to Jeremy’s to unwind. Jeremy convinces Rich to start playing video games and it ends up getting pretty competitive. Rich ends up quitting the game.
Jeremy’s amused, but that only makes Rich more frustrated. Jeremy stands and suggests they play something different or find something else to do, but Rich isn’t having it.
“No no no, not happening. We’re gonna do this. You’re justh afraid I’ll win!”
Rich stands up and paces around Jeremy’s room, hyping himself up. Jeremy leans against his bedroom wall, giving Rich space as he continues talking.
“I’m gonna totally beat you at thisth, you have no idea whatsth comin”
Jeremy looks down at Rich. “W-wow, you may be short, but you’re intimidating when you’re motivated”
“I’m not short, you’re just tall. Tall assth” Rich walks to Jeremy and looks up at him.
Jeremy leans down slightly, “You’re also kind of cute when you’re all worked up”
“I- uh..” Rich falters, his face flushed.
“Oh uh... sorry, did I go too fa-“ Jeremy is cut off as Rich curls a hand in Jer’s shirt, pulling him down to kiss him.
“W-woah...”
“Yeah. that’sth what you get for calling me cute, tall assth.”
“Was that supposed to be a threat?”
“J-justh shut up and play the stupid game”
The next few weeks after that, they were in danger of never separating each time they kissed.
Weeks pass, and Jeremy and Rich get much more comfortable with each other. Butterflies start fading, and they start to get more serious.
Both Rich and Jer develop a much deeper emotional and physical understanding of each other. They both become much more comfortable with quiet touch. They often spend afternoons just cuddling in bed, sometimes not saying a word.
They’re also much more capable of helping the other with their emotions, especially regarding their trauma with their SQUIPS.
Jeremy can’t fathom the idea having a SQUIP as long as Rich did, and his heart sometimes breaks thinking of how hard it must’ve been on Rich.
The boys often talk a lot about what they went through, and help each other cope.
Like Mtn Dew. Jeremy doesn’t touch the stuff, but Rich chugs Mtn Dew Red. He also has frequent obsessive periods where it’s all he can drink. Jeremy always ends up getting too worried and has to talk Rich through it. It most normally leads with crying from Rich, which causes crying from Jeremy, and ends with cuddling and soothing hair pets from Jeremy as well.
There will be times where Jeremy will trace the scars on Rich’s body with feather-light touches and small kisses. Jeremy does it to reassure Rich that his scars really are perfect. There are times where Jeremy will simply get lost in conversation because he’s focusing on how much he loves Rich’s lisp.
Rich feigns being annoyed at him, and sometimes get embarrassed, but he always feels appreciated thanks to Jer.
Rich also returns the gesture by reminding Jeremy of how funny he is, and how smart, and perfect, and important he is. Rich is always reassuring Jeremy that his stutter is okay and reminding him that his anxiety will never be able to stop someone as amazing as him. Jeremy learns how to have just little bit more confidence each day, and always knows where he can go on his rough days.

Unprovoked Spicy Bis headcanons? Under my read more?
It’s more likely than you think.
The two started dating about two years after the squip incident.
Jeremy and Rich were a bit hesitant on asking the other out - since Rich is still new to asking out guys, and Jeremy was dating Christine for half a year after being released from the hospital - but they were pretty much inseparable when they finally started dating
For their first year anniversary, Jeremy (with help from his dad, of course) make up a room for Rich so he can officially cut ties with his abusive father
Rich just sobs at this and pulls his boyfriend into a hug, and, within seconds, Jeremy is crying with him
Did the two make out for hours afterwards? You bet your ass they did
Rich is very touch-starved due to his Squip isolating him from physical contact for so many years, and he absolutely loves it whenever Jeremy hugs him, fiddles with his hair, or even just holding his hand
Jeremy is happily to oblige and has a VERY enjoyable time running his fingers up and down Rich’s sides to tease him and/or just make him laugh when they’re alone
Speaking of which...
Rich is EXTREMELY ticklish
Like, Jeremy just has to look at him the right way and Rich is a giggling pile on the floor. Jeremy LOVES to exploit this and has tickled Rich on numerous just to see him smile/hear his laugh
Despite being the shorter of the two, Rich is strong enough to lift Jeremy off his feet and carry him bridal-style
Jeremy squeaks every time Rich does this and always complains that he doesn’t like being picked up like that
Spoiler Alert: Jeremy’s a huge fucking liar and Rich knows he loves it
Jeremy is the better cook out of the two
Rich tries his best in the kitchen but, since the Heere’s have a gas stove, can’t stay in the room for too long due to the open-flame
THAT BEING SAID
Rich has a major passion for baking
In fact, he’s always trying out new recipes for things like cookies, brownies, cakes, and pretty much any other sweet you can think of
Jeremy LOVES this because he has a monstrous sweet-tooth
Even if Rich is certain the recipe he tried was shit, Jeremy would always be there chowing down on his creation and saying how this desert was the best thing he’s made yet
