This is a story about a book that changed my life.
It's also about how amazing libraries and authors and people who care about sharing cool things with curious kids are. Also, fish (especially fish). It's kind of different than what I usually post but it's been bouncing around in my head basically since I started this blog so here you go, I hope you like it. This is the reason I love coelacanths so much, and why I think everyone should know about how amazing they are.
When I was little, I loved going to the library. My little brother and I would pick out way too many books and the librarians always had to come over to override the 30 book limit at the checkout stand (they pretty much knew us on sight and were ready to override it as soon as we started heading over to check out). After we finished getting our library books, our mom also let us look through the free pile that was in the foyer on the way out. It was mostly old library books that the librarians just needed to clean out, but there were a lot of books that people brought when they cleaned out their personal collections too (especially teachers, and there were a bunch of books with old school library stamps inside). The free pile didn't usually have a lot of things that interested me, but one day when I was poking through it I found a book called Fossil Fish Found Alive: Discovering the Coelacanth, by Sally M. Walker.
I loved it. I had never even heard of coelacanths before, but this book fascinated me. It told the story of an incredible animal, long thought to be extinct, that had somehow survived for millions of years! It was nothing like any fish I had ever learned about before. I already had a casual interest in marine biology that I can thank PBS Kids and Wild Kratts for (particularly their episode on sperm whales and giant squid, I loved that episode), but this book took it to a new level. I wanted to be a marine biologist so I could learn more about coelacanths.
Like a lot of things when you're 7, that was a phase. Unlike a lot of phases, this one I came back to. After taking a break from my dreams of being a marine biologist to experience the hell that is middle school, one day I pulled a book off my shelf. I hadn't read it in a while. When I picked it up again, I remembered how incredible this animal was, and how much it had inspired me when I was younger, and those thoughts of becoming a marine biologist started to return. I'm in college now studying marine science, and I brought the book with me to school, where it sits next to two other science books that have inspired me (My Friends the Wild Chimpanzees by Jane Goodall and The Sea Around Us by Rachel Carson).
Earlier this year, I was thinking about how much this one book had changed my life and I wondered if I could find Ms. Walker and thank her. I knew she had many other science books for younger audiences, and even another book about coelacanths, so I was sure she had a website of some kind, and I was right. So I found her contact page and wrote her an email explaining the impact her book had had on my life, and thanking her for it. And to my surprise, she responded! She was very kind and we sent a few emails back and forth. She gave me some excellent advice and even told me about some of the people she contacted while researching her book, including Marjorie Courtenay-Latimer herself, the person who rediscovered the coelacanth when it was thought to be extinct! I'll never forget how she took the time to respond to me and how encouraging she was.
But Ms. Walker isn't the only one I have to thank for pointing me toward the path I'm on right now. If I hadn't already loved reading, if I hadn't seen any show or video to make me interested in marine biology, if the library didn't have a pile of books for anyone to take home, if I had lost that book during one of our many moves as a kid, I don't know what I'd be doing right now. There were a lot of things that happened to make it so that I found this book, but I'm glad for every single one of them. They led to me learning about an incredible animal and changed the course of my life. And now, I love coelacanths.
#long post#bee talks#my post#coelacanth#i love coelacanths#omg guys its the long awaited ilovecoelacanths backstory post#it came out kinda sappy lmao but whatever im gonna post it even though its so cheesy#ugh i hate being genuine and showing emotion on the internet it makes me feel so cringe. but whatever. cringe is dead so#also wow look at that i actually CAN use real grammar when i want to#not a single smiley face emoticon in this whole post. why did i do that. i like my little guys#here. here's one. :]

You look at me and smell the tangerine (Verkwan)
Verkwan AU
Sadness/fluff/Chubby Seungkwan
This was my first fic, be gentle with me
(Unedited, originally posted on AO3)
It was dark, and the smell of Seungkwan was still there, on his pillowcase. He loved the way Seungkwan smelled, his hair of sweet citrus and his skin of fresh vanilla. Everything about Seungkwan was sweet, his scent, his smile, his personality.. even his laugh. That's one of the reasons Hansol loved to be around him. Boo Seungkwan had been his best friend for three years now, and he wouldn't ask for anyone else to take his space. Seungkwan was a good listener, and always listened to what Hansol had to say, even if he didn't know much about the subject in the first place.
Hansol would give anything up for Seungkwan, he just wanted to keep his best friend safe. He crawled out of bed groggily, rubbing his eyes and letting out a soft yawn. It was already 8:46am, so he knew that Kwannie was already at work. Hansol admired how hard Seungkwan worked, never getting to work late at all. He worked as a music teacher at the local primary school, and the kids absolutely adored him! Hansol adored him too.
Hansol picked up his phone and sent out a message to Seungkwan, just the basic and simple 'Good morning lil dumpling! have a wonderful day!'. He texted Seungkwan goodmorning every morning, he had since they had first become friends. Seungkwan would always giggle at him, telling him that he didn't need to put effort into that every single day. He thought it was plain silly, but Hansol on the other hand, never stopped.
Hansol got dressed the way he did every day, padding out to the kitchen to get breakfast, his smile growing larger at the little stickies his best friend had left all over the small apartment kitchen. Vernon forgot things a lot, so Seungkwan would write a small note to him on a sticky and place it right where he could see it. Some of them said things like, 'Pack a bottle of water and stay hydrated!' or 'Please eat a banana, you need potassium, the bananas will go bad otherwise.' All were embellished with small doodles of whatever had been on his mind. Little clouds and stars littered the small neon notes, keeping the words company.
He grabbed a bottle from the cabinet, turning the sink on to fill the container to the brim with water, just like Seungkwan had said to do. He also grabbed one of the slowly browning bananas from the countertop before heading out of the apartment, locking the door behind him. It was chilly outside, and he really hoped that Seungkwan remembered his jacket before he had left that morning. Despite the fluff on the boys body, Seungkwan still managed to get cold very easily. Not long into their friendship, Hansol had noticed his hoodies and pullovers all went missing. It didn't take him long to find out the culprit had been the tangerine boy himself, snatching all his warm items up because he 'thought they were comfy' and because 'they smelled like apples'. Vernon had no idea why Seungkwan thought he smelled of apples, but he didn't mind the compliment.
He trekked down the street to his office building, smiling brightly at the primary school when he walked by. He waved at the building as if Seungkwan could really see it, which he knew was impossible. He was busy singing little nursery rhymes to the children, laughing as they sang along in their sweet young voices. Thinking about that made Hansol think about Seungkwans' smile, like a perfect crescent. Hansol stopped in his tracks, just to daydream about Seungkwans smile. The way his whole face lit up made Hansols heart sing, his eyes reduced to small bright slivers every time his lips turned up into his perfect bunny smile. Everything about Boo Seungkwan made Hansol so so warm inside.
Hansol began walking again, thoughts of seungkwans smile in his mind. He pushed open the door to his office building, the man at the front desk looking quite concerned. "Mr. Chwe, hello. Its nice to see you so happy today!" he spoke with a small smile.
Hansol returned the smile, "Its an absolutely wonderful day, a bit cold though. Wear a jacket if you choose to go outside, Soonyoung!"
The man at the desk smiled his big smile some more and began to type onto his computer again as Hansol was walking away.
Hansol walked into the elevator and hummed softly to himself, deciding to text Seungkwan that he had gotten to work safely. It was a simple text with a small smiley emoticon tacked onto the end, the one that he found himself only using in his texts to Seungkwan. That's only because Seungkwan made him happy, and he wanted his best friend to know it.
The elevator dinged and let him off, and Hansol pushed his cellphone back into his hind pocket, making his way down the long hallway to his own personal office. Hansols' job wasn't the most exciting thing in the world, in fact it was actually quite boring to say the least. He just sat in his little brightly lit office and answered phonecalls, occasionally even sending out emails. He sat down in the navy blue spinning chair and came face to face with the photo on his desk.
He smiled at the memory, the photo just he and Seungkwan in the middle of New York together. He had brought Seungkwan with him on his trip last year, and it was absolute art to see his squishy little face light up at all of the sights. Of course it was just another big city, but it was the first big city they had ever been to together.
The photo was just a selfie of the two of them standing in Times Square, a smile on both of their faces. Seungkwan was looking up at all the lights, but Hansol seemed to be looking right at Seungkwan. When the boy had asked why he was staring at him, he rolled his eyes and said he was just looking at a Pidgeon in that general direction.
Anyone who knew Hansol knew that it was a lie, but Seungkwan believed it, so he wasn't worried. That was one of the best memories of he and Seungkwan, but it wasn't the only thing Seungkwan related in his office. He had stickies everywhere, just like the ones at home, except they were all white instead of neon 'to fit with the workplace aesthetic' he had said.
Sometimes Seungkwan would come and visit him while he was working and leave silly little motivational notes, or just inside jokes, there was even a sticky that just had a picture of a butt on it. They were all scattered around his office, and he had been told if he took them down he would have his head shaved in the middle of the night.
Hansol would never take them down anyway. They brought color to the office, metaphorically of course. He just worked now, smiling to himself, eating some of his half browned banana while he sent out all of his important emails and doodled on MS Paint, falling asleep an hour or so into the day.
He woke up soon after snoozing, working the rest of the day with no complaints. He finished off his last phonecall and his last MS paint drawing of a cat before getting his things together to go home. After he had taken his short nap, the day went by in grey, he didn't even want to take a lunch break.
Hansol skulked out of the office building, not bothering to say a goodbye to Soonyoung as he started on his way home. Something caught his eye as he was walking, and he stopped dead in his tracks. Across the street was a little cart selling different colors of carnations, and what kind of person would Hansol be if he didn't buy one of those for his best friend?
He carefully made his way across the street, purchasing a dozen pink ones from the boy at the stand who flashed him an angelic smile, he thanked the gardener politely before resuming his walk home. By now the sky was darkening, and all the streetlights were on. Hansol remembered a lot of things, like how once he took a stroll with Seungkwan on this very street once, at this time of evening.
They held hands, Seungkwan wrapped up tight in Vernons coat, snow fluttering softly to the ground. Little flakes danced in the wind as if they were trained to do so, some landing on seungkwans pink nose and cheeks, some even settling down atop his eyelashes. He remembered the conversation they had.
"Noni.. Why is it so cold. Why did you bring me out here in the cold. I'm not a fan of the cold, nor am I a fan of you at this very moment!" Seungkwan had asked in a huff, his face contorted into a pout that looked more cute than actually upsetting in any way.
Vernon had rolled his eyes, squeezing his hand tighter. "I thought maybe if I took someone as warm hearted as you out here, all the snow would melt and spring would come. I suppose I mistook you for someone else, though, because you're just as bitter as the wind."
It had been that point that Seungkwan had demanded they go inside, and Hansol happily obliged, making his friend the warmest hot chocolate he could, trying but failing to make it as sweet as the boy himself.
Vernon was so lost in thought, he almost missed his turn. Almost. He took a left across the road and continued walking until his feet hit the grass. This isn't where he meant to go, but its where his feet were leading him. He almost didn't realize what he was doing until he took a seat in the grass. "Hi, How are you?" He didn't wait for a response before speaking again, "I brought you these flowers, the carnations are your favorites right? And also this." He slid off his jacket, wrapping it around Seungkwan comfortingly. "Its a bit cold, you really should wear a jacket out here you know."
He looked at seungkwans face, the boy smiling back at him like he always did. He reached up and ran his fingertips across the glass of the picture frame, he would have to replace it soon. "I'm just glad it isn't snowing yet, although I'm sure your heart will keep you warm. With you spring is always here. Did you get my goodmorning text by the way? I really hope you did.."
His voice wasn't as bright anymore, not now. "I thought about you all day. I know you wouldn't want me to cry over you, and I swear I don't mean to.." Hansol sniffed softly. "I really love you. I love you so much that sometimes it keeps me up at night. I wish I would have told you that more, I wish I would have bought you more flowers."
He trailed off, standing up, he gently placed the flowers and half the banana onto the ground as if they were glass. As if they were fragile.
Hansol felt so fragile.
He wrapped the coat tighter around the headstone that read the worst name it could, Boo Seungkwan. "Thank you for listening. You always listen. Goodnight, Seungkwan. I hope you rest well.. Please enjoy your flowers."
And with that, Hansol turned away from the headstone littered with dozens of flowers and most of Hansols hoodies and pullovers. Seungkwan had always said that they were comfy and smelled like apples. He never understood how he smelled like apples, but he took the compliment anyways.
He made his way back to their apartment, trudging up the stairs to the place he called home. He numbly walked past the couch where they had shared their first kiss. He walked into the bathroom, where he had first told Seungkwan he was beautiful, even though he had a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth and his hair was all wet. Hansol took a quick shower, getting out almost as soon as he had gotten in. He wasn't worried about that now.
He walked into their bedroom, slipping on some clothes, eyeballing the stickies on the bedroom mirror that said bright things such as 'you look great today' or 'I like that shirt!' all kept company by the usual little doodles on them. The notes were like little doodles of clouds and stars on the empty home, little neon pieces of company for Hansol. They kept him going somehow.
He let out a sigh before sitting on his bed, attaching his phone to its charger. He rested his head on the pillows and let out a choked sob, it was dark, and the smell of Seungkwan was still there, on his pillowcase. He loved the way Seungkwan smelled.

Yoongi Scenario: Cherry Blossom Girl.
Request: Artist oc and photographer yoongi(both are famous on instagram) in which oc liked on one of yoongis pic and yoongi started to stalk on oc's instagram then he just start spamming on oc's instagram post with likes because he thought it was very nice. Oc then dm yoongi and they started talking and stuff?
Genre: Fluff.
-Who is that?-
Yoongi felt his heart stopping and he clutched the phone to his chest glaring at the individual that had just interrupted him in his everyday ritual, to not say stalking session.
-Oh the cherry blossom girl- Hoseok answered to himself which made Yoongi glare harder.
-Why do you ask then?- he barked relaxing his posture. His flatmate sat beside him with phone in hand as well. Yoongi resumed what he was doing, staring down at your recent instagram posts.
He had found your instagram a few months ago in someone’s likes or in recommendations, he couldn't be too sure. He usually didn’t follow pages like yours, a mix of classic dance photographs with the life style that job required, you were both a dancer and a model and he could agree in the undeniable artistry of your work, it wasn’t just the thing he’d browse on the internet.
But as he had very randomly looked at a few pictures of yours he realized there was something that caught his eye. At first the cohesive way you displayed your photos, the high quality of your pictures. Then he started to realize it was your eyes that had caught him, bright and somehow flirty even if you didn’t look directly to the camera, in other pictures it was your smile, full of that something that just made people turn their heads to stare at. Your instagram id was DanceNBloom, not so much about cherry blossoms, but as you had several photos with or of cherry blossoms trees Yoongi had that secret nickname for you, and of course his little shit of a flatmate knew. Just yesterday you had posted a picture of you drinking coffee on a cup with cherry blossoms design, it had to mean something to you and that intrigued him as well as everything else.
He wasn’t a people photographer but he sometimes found himself wanting to photograph you, sometimes and more often than not he wondered who was your photographer.
-She is pretty cute- Hoseok continued making Yoongi turn to him to realize the little shit was also scrolling your instagram.
-What the fuck?- Yoongi smacked him and Hoseok laughed loudly.
-Calm down, I'm just checking out her posts-
-Don't-
Hoseok laughed again, somewhat amused of his friend outburst of jealousy, Yoongi was a cold person in general so seeing him like that wasn’t an everyday thing. -Easy, I'm not doing anything, but, I got to ask when will you?-
-When will I what?-
-Do something-
Yoongi sighed. He would be lying if he said he had not thought about getting to know you, but knowing himself he didn’t think how that could be possible. -Like what?-
Hoseok cleared his throat which made Yoongi roll his eyes, he was seriously taking advice over this?
-I'd say like a couple pictures of her, that way she knows you are interested in her, then you DM her-
-Bah- Yoongi sighed going to the balcony to light a cigarette. He decided to check out his own posts, his recent photograph was of an old door he had found in the outskirts of the city and it was receiving a lot of attention. He was recently a bit obsessed with doors which was both weird and cool at the same time. That’s when he realized you were there, in his activity. Yoongi almost dropped the cigarette and he saw your user name as you had given a like to his recent post.
It didn’t mean anything, thousands of people left likes on his photos, but Yoongi felt prouder about this one now. In some kind of rush he tapped the screen to go to your profile again, he felt a bit unsure but muttering a what the hell he tapped twice on a picture of you surrounded by flowers. He really liked that one as the shades of pink made perfect contrast with your black dress, you stared at the camera dreamily and Yoongi couldn’t help but think to capture that with his own len. He tapped on the next one as he scrolled down, to then give like to another in which the sun created a perfect shadow of your profile while you did a ballet posture. You had an eye for pictures, that was to not say he had his eye on you, a thing that was hard to deny when he came to realize he had just spammed you with likes.
-Shit- he cursed throwing the rest of the cigarette away to catch Hoseok staring at him. -What?-
-Are you ok?-
-Yeah- he lied, he felt like he had screwed up somehow.
-It will go well if you do it like I told you, just… don’t be creepy, no offense hyung but I know you can be a little bit creepy sometimes-
Yoongi scoffed not looking at Hoseok but the sight of the city before him, that warning came a little too late.
It was night, after a whole day of editing Yoongi laid down on his bed to find himself on instagram again, your instagram. He was thinking if he should really do this and if so what he could say, would you have something to talk about? did you want that? It was too frustrating thinking, but then you seemed to be into photography, that could be a start. Yoongi cursed and thought the words, just a greeting and then see how it went from there, it shouldn’t have to be a big deal, if you didn’t like it then to hell, he’d move on, it wasn’t a big deal.
Then he saw the new notifications and for a moment he thought he had sent the message without even realizing it. But no, it was your name written there, you had talked to him. You had actually DM him first.
DanceNBloom: Hey, you have a nice page too
Yoongi’s heart started to go faster and he recriminated at himself for it, why was he being so nervous over this? he felt like a freaking boy with a crush. Yoongi inhaled and stared at the message thinking what to answer, like the man he was.
MYGVision: Hey, you have nice taste
He stared at it, waiting. And then he panicked, maybe you thought he was referring to his own instagram when he was talking about your posts. -Shit- now you were going to think he was arrogant, which wasn't entirely a lie but still.
MYGVision I mean your pics, really nice
You bit your lip as you re read the conversation, or what you had sent so far. You had been a little nervous to actually talk to him but it was all going good. He thought it was nice, but just nice?
You rolled in bed and thought about what to respond. He was such a professional and recognized photographer, what could you say to him?
You had been following Yoongi’s page for quite some time, and in that time you had realized you weren’t just a fan of his fine work, but you actually found him hot. He almost never posted a photo of himself but he had some, you had scrolled down his whole instagram and then went on to his website to check out his work, and that face. Yoongi had a cool expression in the few photos of him you had seen, almost serious, he looked like the type who smiled only when he truly meant it and that made him seem twice attractive to you. So much you had actually talked to him.
-But he started it- you told yourself smiling at the thought of the shower of likes he had given you, almost lost in all the other notifications you received, but you had seen it.
DanceNBloom Thanks, I like your posts too, specially the work you do with shadows, kind of obsessed with them recently.
Yoongi chuckled reading, so you had recent obsessions just like him. He licked his lips and tipped his answer
MYGVision Shadows are quite interesting, not always easy to come accurate in photo, depending of the effect you want… But I see you have done several, they are good
You beamed at his answer, for some reason prouder of your posts, so much you went to check them out, like you wanted to see for yourself what he saw.
DanceNBloom Thanks, should I call you sunbae? lol
MYGVision Nah call me Yoongi, just Yoongi is ok
-Just Yoongi- you repeated out loud. This was going better than expected but now you didn’t know what to say. What were you doing talking to this guy like this? You wanted to keep talking but you felt shy all of the sudden. So after a bit of thought you sent him a smiley emoticon and waited, if he kept talking it meant he was interested, if not then you should just leave it.
Yoongi waited for your answer, he was growing frustrated and nervous seeing you didn’t say anything, and then you just sent an emoticon. What that meant? Shouldn’t you be saying if he could call you by your name? Or something else? With that he thought you didn’t want to keep talking. But Yoongi wasn’t good with that. -Shit-
He wasn’t the best at getting to know people but he believed he could put himself out there for a change. So he was going to do something and if you answered the same way he’d leave it.
MYGVision Should I call you hoobae?
You jumped out of the bed out of emotion and nerves when he answered, and then you wanted to face palm, you hadn't said your introduction or anything. That’s why you were single, you were subtle and smooth with your dance moves, not so much at flirting or talking to a guy.
DanceNBloom You don’t have to lol sorry I’m a bit awkward sometimes, call me Y/N, just Y/N ;)
Yoongi smiled, the relief he felt was bigger than expected.
MYGVision Alright, nice to meet you. I take you live here in Seoul
DanceNBloom I do, so do you, right?
MYGVision Right, Y/N, I want to keep talking to you, is it ok to ask for your number?
Yoongi bit his lip and left the phone aside feeling way too nervous for what it was. It wasn’t the first time he flirted with a girl or asked for a number but he was feeling quite like it. He was regretting his decision at sending you that too fast but then he saw your number on the screen followed by something that got him too giddy, he thanked heaven he was alone of Hoseok would pester him for his huge smile for weeks.
DanceNBloom Add me, now you can give me all those photographs tips.
Yoongi added you and this time talked to your whatsapp, feeling that giddiness too big in him, you were smiling to the camera in your profile picture, the cherry blossoms adorning the background, like enhancing your beauty. Or maybe Yoongi just found you too gorgeous and he was being cheesy as fuck.
MYGVision Giving my tips would require coffee, or a few drinks if you want the extended advice.
DanceNBloom I agree, couldn’t it be any other way
Yoongi counted himself a victory after reading that. He was going to meet you, the girl he was crushing so hard to the point of giddy smiles and nervous talk, his cherry blossom girl.

‘Tis the season to Be Jolly, Falalalala and Give Away!!
Hello, lovelies!
Guess what day it is? It’s GIVE AWAY DAYYYY! (well yes obviously because already stated) (but also) It is my BIRTHDAYYYY! And what’s more fun to do on your birthday than give shit away to the people who enrich your life? NOTHING!
Alright, here we go, here are the things you could get your hands on if you reblog or like this post. Yes, that’s right, both options are... optional.
So I’m planning to do this Give Away by hand. That’s is right - by hand. Meaning I shall write down each and every one of you on a piece of paper and put you in a bag and twirl you around and draw names out of that bag.
Simple Rules:
Heart this post --> I write your name once and it goes in the bag on one piece of paper
Reblog --> I write your name three times and your name goes in the bag on three separate pieces of paper
(yes, if you heart this post AND reblog that means your name goes on four separate pieces of paper)
Pay It Forward
If you spot something you think someone you love (or have a secret crush on and you want to tell them using colourful things and your SPN obsession) would absolutely adore, if you’re selected the winner I’ll give you the option to Pay it Forward and your loved one (or secret crush) might find themselves the sudden owner of Awesome Shiny New Things. (aw yiss) More details on the bottom of this post, my peeps!
Ready for the things you could get your (or someone you love or have a secret crush on’s) lovely hands on? Here we go!
1. Dean Lean Fighting Machine (with the biggest heart)
Items one journal (Things I Can’t Say Out Loud) (this journal will make you dig down deep) (only an option for those ready for this) (you’re ready for it) (it’s awesome) (because you get to fill the Wild West themed journal with your thoughts and emotions using an awesome horse pencil). There’s also a Go Fish card game because, you know, Dean secretly harbours a yearning to go fish. The Wizard of Oz ref speaks for itself, right? (somewhere over the rainbow) (and all that) ;)
2. Multi-Coloured Survival Kit
If you want to go through life without unicorns, I’m not going to judge, but they make everything better, so I would seriously consider hitting the reblog button simply for this option. Colouring book (with loads of amazing quotes btw), tote bag in a bag, lip balm (LIP BALM with a UNICORN on it) and playing cards for those quiet moments in the shared motel room. What more could you ask for? (Misha riding a unicorn with Jensen behind him?) (well I’ve seen that gif so...)
3. Make Things Write
Are you an angel? Were you an angel in a past life? Well then, here’s the perfect writing kit for you! A lovely silver hardback notebook with angels on the front and the Heavenly light shining on two figures waiting to be let into their mutual forever, accompanied by a crimson red feather pen with a gilt tip. That’s right. A gilt tip, y’all!
4. Wish for This?
The lovely Rachel Miner did her awesome Be the Clarence You Want to See in the World campaign in the summer and if you missed it, here’s your chance to get your sweet paws on some lovely and supportive merc. This T-shirt is a size M. There’s also a bracelet from Misha Collins’ I Wish For This campaign and never forget about the Pay It Forward option! (I will ship to anywhere in the woooooorld!) (free of charge of course)
5. GISHWHES ME, BABY
Or Misha Me, Baby -- whichever you prefer. A lovely GISHWHES traveling case and an I Wish For This bracelet. This case is bigger than it looks and perfectly awesome. (yes I bought one for myself as well)
6. Do You Believe In Magic?
If not (you should) this Unicorn Quotes Booklet will entice you to believe and gallop around your neeeeeigh-bourhood (okay I’m worried now) (but if you do - please send pictures). There is also one of those fabulous I Wish For This bracelets. (yeah I fell in love with them)
7. Guess the Episode!
Okay, so I would have loved for you to name the scene when Dean digs around in a Hello Kitty bag, because it is so damn fantastic, but I’m not going to do that. Bonus if you CAN name it, though! This is totally related to an episode anyway, and there’s a small surprise inside. (it’s a tiny wooden Knots-and-Crosses game) (it has yellow flowers) (and red hearts) (shhhhhh)
8. Merchandiiiiiiiise
So this lovely Supernatural merc was brought over from the States by the wonderful @tinkdw (thank you, my dear) and it’s a gorgeous choker necklace and a kickass keychain and yah, you want it? Come and get it! :P
9. I Like Emoticons
Okay, so this book doesn’t actually literally pertain to Cas because this yellow smiley isn’t technically an emoticon - it’s an emoji - but I couldn’t resist it with that pink background. Hot pink. Dean pink. And rainbow markers because we all need rainbows in our lives and especially to mark things. In rainbow. :)
10. Colour Me Happy
You know you want to. You know you want to go to town on this Supernatural colouring book. Go to town in all the colours of the universe and, as you frantically fill them boys in with all the hope, you think: Live, Be Happy, Breathe, Feel Content, There Is Peace - For You Are Done! (too final?) (sorry!) --> you’ll think encouragingly Carry On My Wayward Sons!!
And that’s all that’s on offer, folks!
Winners
Will be drawn and announced on January 4th, 2018
Will be selected by Old School Draw Out of Bag By Hand
It’s First Drawn, First Serve
100 names will be drawn for the 10 prizes. 10 names per prize. (if I generate that much interest...) (*screaming ghost face emoji*)
The winner has 24 hours to Claim Their Prize or the chance to Claim a Prize will be passed to the next name on the Winner List for that specific prize
Pay It Forward
If you win and you absolutely do not win what you’d like to have for yourself, but you do win a prize that you feel would brighten up the day and be a perfect fit for someone you know, you can put into motion the Pay It Forward option. All you have to do is give me your friend’s or family member’s address (or secret crush’s address) and I shall mail the gift there for you with a note to explain what the heck it is an why they’re getting it. :P
And let me restate: if you win I will send you the items free of charge. Of course!
To every single one of my Followers: I love you, you are awesome, and I would make this exclusively for you if I believed in coercing people into following me by dangling bait in front of their eyes. But I don’t. This Give Away is open to all. Like and reblog - that’s it. But if you follow my blog, know that you’re the reason I am even doing this at all. You inspire me to stay on tumblr. You make me want to write meta and post it. You lovelies are what makes this whole experience so amazing and worth while and fun and engaging. I love you!! Happy Holidays!
And to all - a good night. ;)
PLEASE NOTE: This GiveAway is from Christmas of 2017 and is closed. 😊❤️
