I killed off all the Connections' researchers.

They were poking around where they weren't supposed to when I wasn't looking, but I knew exactly what they were up to. Probably didn't like having to report to me.

So, I thew them in a cage with some Molded. They shit their pants and begged for their lives. I'm just worried I won't be able to hold back from laughing when I make the report that they met with an unfortunate accident.

Probably a good time now to cut ties with The Connections. I'm the only one who can really make good use of Eveline's mold.

Analysis Report

We've finished analyzing the tissue samples believed to be from Jack Baker.

The cells exhibit an extraordinary resilience to physical and chemical damage; the E-Series mutamycete secretes a telomerase-like enzyme through the cell wall, causing abnormal activation of the ERK pathway to achieve forced cell division-quickly regenerating damaged tissue.

However, the repeated cell division quickly leads to breakdown in the intercellular structure, leading to the sloughing, slurry-like effect we've observed in the collected tissue samples. Our working hypothesis puts this down to the cells reaching their Hayflick limit.

Note that the samples from the other family members (the wife Marguerite, the son Lucas, and the daughter Zoe) do not exhibit the same extreme regenerative properties. The symptoms may differ from subject to subject. Further study required.

how did they get the samples? what are the samples with Lucas and Marguerite its obvious as they're both dead. But what did they get from Zoe just some hair and/or dead skin? probably it had to be something of a size to be able to test how it regenerates and how can they tell what is regenerating? I wonder what else they learn from Zoe after she gets checked up? (did they take samples from Mia and Ethan? probably. I wonder what they found)

A more hopeful ending to Final Fantasy 16. One where Clive survived and returned to Jill where they could finally live the remainder of their lives free of the burdens the world placed on their shoulders.

I finished FF16 and both DLC's and while I wish there was a different ending to it, or one that wasn't so open-ended, it left me hopeful. I'd like to believe that Clive (and even Joshua) somehow survived even if Clive did lose the use of his left hand. I'm just sick of heroes needing to die in these stories when heroes deserve to live a full life with love and happiness. So that's what I'm hoping Clive, Jill and Joshua were able to have.

slay the princess is a horror game about the nature of love! you play as the nameless (at the time) knight who has been asked to do the titular task. Why? She'll end the world of course! Who says so? The Narrator! Who told him to tell you? uh...

you're accompanied by him and the voice of the Hero, who suggests that you take a more merciful route. you're supposed to be the good guy after all.

i won't explain further as seeing the twist for yourself is the best way to experience it imo, but it has gorgeous writing, both of the humorous and sad kind, and the artsyle is really nice. the dlc comes out on Oct 24th, with even more routes you can do (pst, for your first run would recommend turning around and constantly trying to leave. it unlocks something special)

OMG!! ok fun fact I adore slay the princess... I first discovered it when I was just watching longform youtube analysis of various video games. and slay the princess video essay was so captivating i paused the essay halfway through and watched a lets play, which i NEVER do, and then I watched 3 other letsplays and bought the game. I love watching people discuss the themes and mechanics of video games I will never play, but STP hooked me in a whole different way.

LOVE your description of the game!!! if anyone reading this is interested, STP has tons of replayability and works great in lets play format, so if you are on the fence/unsure about spending $20 or whatever, look up a letsplay on youtube (usually 3-4 hrs for a full playthru) and see how u like it!!

I'm not sure if this is quite the right reading, 'cause a lot of details are kind of vague, but I keep thinking about Alan writing the Hiss crisis to help make Jesse a Hero, but the crisis became so large and all consuming that Jesse couldn't be of any help to him in Bright Falls because she ended up trapped in the Oldest House. It's such an interesting to think of in terms of the possible limitations of Alans writing. Like, he can start the crisis rolling with the pieces he has, but once they're rolling, he can't stop them. It just sort of highlights all the things that could go wrong with his stories.

(Also, even through dimension weirdness Jesse can't leave the House while the Hiss are still present as she's the one actively powering the HRAs...)

It also sort of feels like, by leading Jesse to Hartman, (someone strong enough to get rid of him for good), Alan is investing in the future through re-opening the investigations sector and giving the FBC back the resources on Bright Falls they had to leave behind, working with whatever he's got after the original attempt went awry.

Anyway, sorry if this isn't quite coherent, I'm playing AWE again and having thoughts...

why I think Not A Hero is called Not A Hero

this is a ramble and I am sorry

definition (because i second guessed myself and then reading the defnition was amused): In mythology and legend, a man, often of divine ancestry, who is endowed with great courage and strength, celebrated for his bold exploits, and favored by the gods/ .A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life.

so in timeline the events of RE6 happened in 2012/2013 and the events where Chris watching most of his team die (including a 22 year old called Finn), getting post traumatic amnesia, heavy drinking over a extended period of time file “ Upon waking up, Chris had no recollection of who he was or what had occurred, but his mind was wracked by an overwhelming and inexplicable guilt. Chris determined to run away, and he left the hospital before anyone could check in on him... Chris lived as a moody and violent drunk, hoping that he could numb himself to the pain of what happened that fateful day”. Going back into it all with a new team and them dying. Finally watching Piers Nivens get so seriously injured that he saw no other way but to infect himself with the C- Virus (to which there is no cure after they mutate its a death sentence) and made Chris leave as he stayed behind (Piers sacrifice leading Chris to remain with the BSAA) and in Vendetta so 2014 Chris was in another incident involving a mansion where everyone but him died and because of this incident his friend Rebecca Chambers was endangered because she figured out how to make a vaccine and other things happened *coughs* the bad guy dressed her up as his dead wife and it was creepy

and in Not A Hero itself Chris was told to look out for soliders that Lucas had captured and save them. He did not succeed. At the end of the dlc he and Veronica have a conversation the scene is Chris looking at the family photo of the Bakers and the dialogue is this “Chris:... "Think we did any good here?" Veronica: "Not for them, unfortunately, but the mold is contained. Hopefully, they're Evie's last victims." Chris: "Hopefully."

Chris has been doing this for 20 years and has lost a lot of friends and lots of strangers and even returning to a small scale outbreak he wasn’t able to save them. He thought it was over so getting the achievement at the end “you’re the hero now“ you felt that as well (random song rec Victory by two steps from hell)... and then village happened and you lose your mind a bit and it all goes back to hell

and why Chris is working with Blue Umbrella
