LY HÔN! Tôi từng có một cuộc tranh cãi nảy lửa và dai dẳng với một đồng nghiệp nam về tư tưởng "không cần đăng ký kết hôn". Và tôi là người cho rằng đăng ký kết hôn hoàn toàn là điều không cần thiết. Khi ấy tôi chưa kết hôn và đã sống chung cùng bạn trai, cũng là chồng tôi bây giờ, được nửa năm. Chúng tôi yêu xa, rồi tôi trở về sống chung cùng anh nửa năm, rồi lại rời xa anh đi làm ở nước ngoài. Anh đồng nghiệp tranh cãi cùng tôi là người Malay, làm cùng tôi ở Sing. Tôi cho rằng đăng ký kết hôn là sợi dây ràng buộc không cần thiết, nó chính là thứ khiến người ta sinh ra câu "hôn nhân là nấm mồ của tình yêu", mà tờ giấy đăng ký kết hôn chính là sợi dây treo cổ của Tình Yêu. Sợi dây thòng lọng vô tình choàng vào cổ hai người khi họ đặt bút ký tá. Nó chẳng khiến người ta thấy yêu nhau hơn, hay khiến tình yêu thêm lãng mạn. Nó chỉ đơn thuần là hai chữ "trách nhiệm", thứ mà tôi cho rằng nếu phải ký giấy mới có thì vốn dĩ đã là sai lầm. Tự tình yêu, nếu đủ đậm sâu và đúng ý nghĩa, nó đã mang sẵn trách nhiệm. Một tờ giấy không giúp chúng ta có trách nhiệm hơn mà lại khiến ta muốn tránh né nó bằng mọi cách khi phát huy tác dụng. Sự thực là tờ giấy kết hôn chỉ phát huy tác dụng khi bạn...ly hôn. Bạn lại sẽ phải ký một tá giấy tờ khác để huỷ đi hiệu lực của cái tờ giấy lẽ ra là khởi nguồn của một cuộc sống màu hồng, nay thì chính là lúc nó trở thành màu đen. Anh đồng nghiệp tôi khăng khăng rằng, tờ giấy đăng ký kết hôn sẽ bảo vệ mình nếu trong trường hợp ly hôn. Nhưng ai cần một tờ giấy bảo vệ khi chính người mình tin tưởng sẽ bảo vệ mình cả cuộc đời nay không còn muốn bảo vệ mình nữa? Cho đến hôm nay thì tôi lại càng có cớ để tin rằng điều mình tin tưởng là thật. Bởi hôm nay tôi chứng kiến một vụ ly hôn mà ý nghĩa của nó lại chính là minh chứng của tình yêu cao cả nhất tôi từng biết đến. Người vợ đang vướng vòng lao lý, toà án đang trong thời gian xét xử. Hôm nay chị lên báo với thông tin "đã ly hôn, một mình nuôi hai con nhỏ", tôi tức tốc tìm hiểu thì biết chắc chị đã ly hôn và chuyển khỏi khu nhà cao cấp để ra sống ở một khu nhà tạm bợ rất xa. Tôi không thể tin được người đàn ông tôi chứng kiến hàng ngày trông con, nấu cơm, chăm sóc chị vì lo chị yếu ớt, mong manh, lại có thể bỏ rơi chị trong lúc này. Nhưng khi hiểu ra từ những suy đoán khác, tôi hiểu rằng họ ký giấy ly hôn để tránh những tổn thất về tài sản và cũng để là tình tiết giảm nhẹ cho chị ấy, thì tôi hiểu rằng tờ giấy kết hôn khi ấy chẳng còn bảo vệ được cho ai nữa, ngược lại lại là mối đe doạ đến an nguy của cả gia đình. Tôi tin là khi anh chị ấy làm thủ tục ly hôn, họ hướng về nhau với tất cả tình yêu và tin tưởng điều mình đang làm là điều tốt nhất cho người kia. Và vì thế tôi vẫn cứ tin, tình yêu lớn nhất là tình yêu không ký giấy bảo đảm. Bởi tự những người yêu nhau đã có những ký kết ngầm, không giấy bút nào có thể siết chặt hay chia cắt được thứ cam kết ngầm ấy. Và tôi nghĩ, tôi đã ký một cam kết ấy trong tim mình, rất lâu rồi.

 Meeting Jason Dy is a dream come true to the people who really look up to him. But being known and being friends with him is sure to be a lifetime achievement. 

And today, a Dyfender is celebrating his anniversary of making his dream of meeting Jason Dy to reality. Let us be inspired by the story of Jepot Mendoza as he narrates his journey. 

​”FEBRUARY is “DY” greatest month for me not only because it is the month of Love but because this is the month when I finally met my idol. I’ve met so many of my idols, but the one person that left me speechless is the most down to earth, Jason Dy. November 9, 2014 – The time when Jason Dy’s auditioned moment was aired on the National Television. I was so dumbfounded with his voice, falcetto and appeal. It was then I realized to support the man. [Feel ko na talaga na siya ‘yung mananalo] From then on, I cancelled all my plans and outdoor activities ‘pag ipapalabas na ulit si Jason Dy sa The Voice. I almost memorized Lea Salonga’s, Bamboo’s, Apl’s and Sarah’s commentaries from blinds, to battles, to knockouts, to live show, up until finale. From November 2014 until February 12, 2015, my classmates and relatives knew how early I was to see my idol up until… February 13, 2015 – His mallshow in Lucky China Town. This is “DY” day when I finally say I am an official Dyfender!!! Here’s the back story:

October to November, it was the months where I was too busy looking for a company for my internship program. I tried to pass my resume online to a big network where Jason Dy works. Luckily, I pass all the interviews and examinations. My first objective is to see him flesh on my same building. Months had passed yet luck and time didn’t permit me to see him so I was impatiently stalking his facebook account, twitter account, Instagram account where I can see him. I finished my internship program of 400 hours on that network yet I failed to see him personally. I chatted one anonymous man (I saw a photo of him and Jason, he is one of the admins of his fans club) on facebook and he encouraged me to join him on a mallshow for Jason Dy. So to cut the story short, I finally met Jason Dy!!!

But here’s the catch, it was not the end. I am now part of a new family called, “Dyfenders”. I was a graduating student then. I made him as my inspiration of both my life and feeling-magaling-ako-kumanta life. Because Jason Dy is both a singer and a songwriter, I auditioned on our Graduation Song Contest. 

Unpredictably, I won together with my team – #NoStringAttached. We sung our batch’s graduation song.” 

Lastly, Jepot Mendoza left us with these words, “WORK UNTIL YOUR IDOL BECOMES YOUR FRIEND.”

Jason Dy’s impact to his fans is not just for fun but most importantly for inspiration; an inspiration to honing our talents, discovery of oneself and most definitely to work hard to achieve our life goals.
