I really am enjoying -parts- of Veilguard, I am. However the overwhelming urge to replay both inquisition and origins is getting really annoying whenever Veilguard sails right past a cool lore/banter/dialogue/interaction/ quest opportunity ..

#this is not really meant to be critical #this game is very pretty to look at #the cc is the best one DA has had so far thats for sure #and i do genuinely like the companions #the story tho... it leaves a touch to be desired!#beggars wont be choosers ofc i cant make a game #and im grateful to be back in thedas of course!#but thus far im sitting here mostly just nostalgic for the other games and its a weird feeling!!#anyway i will continue to be hylerfixated on this very pretty dragon age game #though ill also be lowkey looking over my shoulder at hottie meme about origins and inquisition

Was editing my roadtrip playlist cuz it was only 8 hours and i needed it to be more like 16 hours long and since the theme is "songs im nostalgic about but are still safe to play in the car with children present" there is just the WEIRDEST assortment of stuff. if escape rooms as team building exercises became popular im not sure if id be more excited or terrified

#if it isnt already anyway.. i can see it happening as a school frosh thing. idk if it would catch on as a workplace thing #i kind of find the concept of being locked in with strangers and working to find a way out weirdly exhilarating though #at least compared to icebreakers cause i dont have to spend 10 minutes racking my brain for something to blurt out abt myself #as a bonus u could like. put people into groups and give prizes to whoever escapes first second third etc. apparently they also do themed #escape rooms.. maybe let people pick a theme? or voluntary sign up? actually this would be really fun for smth like a blind friend date #although if i found out i was locked in a room with an online friend id be too excited to actually escape LOL #ive never done an escape room before so sadly i cant speak from experience. its like up there on things i want to try next to rug tufting #workshop and visiting new art exhibits or conventions. i seriously need to get out more if it wasnt for the horrors <- school and anxiety #i was planning to invite cass to a drop-in art workshop in town but neither of us could go bc typography is making us go thru hell and back #AND THEY HAD A BUTTON MACHINE TOO #im nostalgic bc i miss working in groups and not being awkward abt it or worrying abt schedule conflicts #i realized that i learn best in groups and its a little corny but i like sharing ideas and talking through a problem #in elementary i could just sit down with friends for review and come out of it energized *and* more familiar with the material #and i could technically still do it now. but as adults we're more picky abt who we work with on top of being way more busy outside school #maybe im lonely. im shy and grew up not talking to ppl unless i absolutely have to so its hard to make friends on my own i guess #only thing getting me thru it is telling myself that humans like helping and that my cringe is overblown in my head. but its hard #hence the escape rooms. i have been able to talk to 2(!!) people though!! mostly abt school stuff but im glad to be on friendly terms #i dont really know how to be happy these days cause im constantly scaring myself abt my portfolio and finding places to work #not being ambitious is part of not wanting to put energy into something that wont work out while also not having the passion to do literall #anything else.. i should probably talk to my counsellor ugh #yapping

I have never been able to get into the dragon age games for one reason or another but I took a chance on Veilguard and I am having so much fun!!!

#it fixed almost everything that bugged me about the other ones #it’s extremely newcomer friendly too which is great cause I have no clue about anything #I absolutely adore Rook and the level of customization you can add to a mostly linear character #I was worried I’d keep comparing it to bg3 but they’re really not that comparable???#like aside from both being highly customizable fantasy RPGs they both have unique strengths and weaknesses #and I just don’t see the need to put one against the other #so far Lucanis is the standout fav #which surprises me but also doesn’t #I did just meet Emmrich five minutes ago so perhaps the old man will win me over yet #I actually am fond of all of them so far #anyway I don’t see myself getting into this game the way I’m into bg3 #I lack the necessary nostalgic attachment a lot of people have for this world #but it’s an extremely fun game and I do see myself playing it for a long time #I recommend so far 👍#life #Hannah plays veilguard

I know i'm like 7 years late with the realization, but the first time reading the All for the game books left only chaos in my brain, which i haven't revisited since 2016.. until now!

So now rereading The raven king and knowing what will happen, the funny realization is seeing Wymack being the first one to probably guess something happening between Neil and Andrew.

When the whole "Andrew's hand under Neil's t-shirt to gain his trust, while standing in front of other ppl" scene was going on, and Wymack seeing it, and later asking Neil:

It's the "Wymack eyed him" so funny for me, bc he just realized even Neil didn't know. (I think Wymack was facepalming on the inside, thinking 'he really is that stupid'.)

And then at the beginning of The King's men, again:

("A brief, pitying glance." You love to read that! poor Neil lol, he's only confused by what Wymack means)

ajbfjdj it's almost a comedy (and a tragedy, at the same time 🥲)

#aahh rereading it feels so nostalgic #im only at the beginning of the kings men but im already postponing reading it bc i know whats gonna happen.......trauma and angst and pain #but at the same time!!! i missed them! idk why i havent reread it sooner sometime in the past years #but its a funny experience to do so even now #tfc #all for the game #andreil #wymack #neil josten #andrew minyard #i have too many screenshots mostly of andreil slowly happening before they even realize that its so painful and incredible 😭🥲#mine #aftg #the foxhole court
