QOTD: Who were your most read authors in high school? I was in high school from 2008-2012 and it was during that period I really became a giant bookworm (I didn't have many friends so reading was what I did on breaks). Some of the authors I read a lot of then are still favourites today (though I will admit I've fallen behind with a lot of their newer books): Ally Carter, Maggie Steifvater, Juliet Marillier, Kate Forsyth, Julie Kagawa, Veronica Roth, Richelle Mead, Suzanne Collins, Kiersten White, Jennifer Lynne Barnes, Terri Farley, Rachel Vincent, Kelley Armstrong. Just to naem a few. Unfortunately I borrowed most books from the library during this time so I don't actually own many to take photos of them 😢 I'm slowly working on expanding my nostalgia collection. //CHALLENGES// #AmpersandJan21 - Stack Saturday #bookquotesjan21 - “All the time in the world is worth nothing if I don't get to spend it with you.” (The Shadows Between Us): books you will love forever #stacksaturday #LMSJanuary2021 - Recommend #MyFandomObsessionsJan21 - Wobbly-headed doll caper: #stacksaturday #RFABJan21 - Stack Saturday #GracelingJan2021 - Death Or Life: Self Discovery //HASHTAGS// #allycarter #gallaghergirls #yabooks #mgbooks #nostalgiabooks #childhoodbooks #heistsociety #ausyabloggers #bookworm #bibliophile #bookstack https://www.instagram.com/p/CKYju6Ng4gM/?igshid=awfgyxz696v8

This week @csecooney reminded me of my love for Trixie Belden. When I was a kid, it seemed like everyone was either into Nancy Drew or The Hardy Boys. I went straight from Cam Jensen to Trixie Belden and read every single one. I got most of them at the library, but whatever few battered copies I had were lost to the sands of time (parental garage sales). Every once in a while, though, I find a nice vintage copy and can’t resist picking one up. I’ve tried to get my kids to read these but failed so far. I should attempt a reread, but I’m afraid they won’t hold up. . Have you ever read Trixie? Who was your favorite kid sleuth growing up? . . #trixiebelden #juliecampbell #booksfromchildhood #nostalgiabooks https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx1_UPhAb5r/?igshid=1ohhurz4eliqh
