Nikolai Astrup (August 30, 1880 - 1928) was a Norwegian painter who primarily depicted the landscapes of his birthplace - the West Country tracts - often his own elaborate gardens.
He trained at the Norwegian Royal Academy in Oslo (then Kristiania), but did not enjoy the school. Instead he took private lessons in Norway and later with Christian Krohg at the Académie Colarossi in Paris.
Astrup had lung issues his whole life - asthma, tuberculosis, and finally pneumonia which killed him after a reckless journey by open car.

Harald V of Norway
Physique: Average Build Height: 6′ 2″ (1.88 m)
Harald V (born 21 February 1937 -) is King of Norway. He succeeded to the throne on 17 January 1991 following his father's death. Harald was the third child and only son of King Olav V of Norway and Princess Märtha of Sweden. In 1940, as a result of the German occupation during World War II, the royal family went into exile. Harald spent part of his childhood in Sweden and the United States. He returned to Norway in 1945, and subsequently studied for periods at the University of Oslo, the Norwegian Military Academy, and Balliol College, Oxford.
Very handsome when he was young, but even though he's aged, doesn't mean I wouldn't have taken him to bed on a very regular basis. A keen sportsman, he represented Norway in sailing at the 1964, 1968, and 1972 Olympic Games, and later became patron of World Sailing.
Harald married Sonja Haraldsen in 1968, their relationship having initially been controversial due to her status as a commoner. They have two children, Märtha Louise and Haakon.

A Daydreamer's Holiday Movie Marathon: Klaus
Now, I didn't exactly grow up with this film, but ever since Klaus came out in 2019 on Netflix, it instantly became something special to me and so many people. The Royal Postmaster is growing tired of his son, Jesper's poor job in the Royal postman training academy so he sends him away to far away town called, Smeerenburg to establish a post office and have 60,000 letters posted within a year or else he'll be completely cut off from the family's fortune! Smeerenburg is divided by two familial clans in a constant feud with each other made of The Ellingboes & The Krums. There's also a man in the woods named, Klaus who makes handmade toys in a house all alone. After Klaus makes Jesper deliver a toy gift to the house of one of The Krums children, word starts to spread with the children that they'll get a toy if they write a letter to this mysterious gift giver. This eventually has the children going back to school so they can read and write to send more letters much the surprise of former teacher, Alva who grows a connection with Jesper. A little girl named, Margu who can't write or speak Norwegian motivates Jesper to help her write a letter to Klaus about a sled she really wants with Alva's help. He even develops a friendship with Klaus as they continuously work together. As Jesper spends more time in Smeerenburg making it a better place, it gets harder for him on wanting to leave since he initially didn't want this task. Not to mention, some members of the feuding clans were not happy with these sudden changes to the town.
I feel like at the time, we all needed a film like this. It's been YEARS since we've seen a 2D/Hand-Drawn animated film in a decade where 3D and CGI has taken over animation completely! This film is GORGEOUS from start to finish! Look at the character designs! Look at the backgrounds! Look at the flow of the animation! It's amazing! Heck, it even got nominated for Best Animated Feature Film in 2020 and it got a HANDFUL of Annie Awards as well! This is such a fun take on the origins of Santa Claus while even changing the name and having Jesper grow as a character throughout the film. I highly HIGHLY recommend you give it a watch if you have Netflix installed! You'll be blown away!

hey jess, just wanted to say that my birthday is on December 10th. So every year I know I'll see tiaras and gowns on my birthday. But if I married into the Swedish or Norwegian royal family, it would be cool to have the noble prize every year to attend to, especially the Swedish one with gowns and tiaras, but kinda annoying as well. So I'll try my best not to marry into the family, I promise!
Well I don’t want to burst your bubble but Estelle’s 11 so unless you are far too young to be on here you probably won’t marry one of them and get the tiara birthday. You could marry one of the members of the Swedish Academy and just buy yourself a tiara hahaha.

Hamas admitted that the rocket was not Israeli. Intercepted conversation of terrorists published
A leading specialist in the field of aviation and military technologies of the British "brain trust" RUSI analyzed video and photos from the scene of the explosion at the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip and confirmed that
"There are no craters or apparent fragmentation of the standard bombs of the JDAM/Mk80 series used by the Israeli Air Force… with such damage, an airstrike is less likely than a missile failure that caused an explosion and fuel ignition.
The scale of the explosion visible on the video indicates that it is most likely a rocket fuel ignition, and not a high-explosive bomb detonation," said Justin Bronk, a professor at the Royal Norwegian Air Force Academy.
In the comments, he explains that the explosions of aerial bombs have a conical shape, and not as seen in the video.
God points the guilty to their place and to their mistakes.

"Christian Skredsvig (12 March 1854 – 19 January 1924) was a Norwegian painter and writer. He employed an artistic style reflecting naturalism. He is especially well known for his picturesque and lyrical depictions of the landscape. He was born and grew up on the Skredsvig farm in the parish of Modum in Buskerud, Norway.
When he was 15 years old he became a pupil at the drawing and paint school of Johan Fredrik Eckersberg in Christiania. After Eckersberg's death in 1870 he studied with Julius Middelthun at Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (Den kgl. Tegneskole) in Kristiania (now Oslo). He followed with four years of apprenticeship (1870–1874) in Copenhagen under the supervision of landscape painter Vilhelm Kyhn at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
After several years in Paris he moved back to Norway in 1886 and settled at the Fleskum farm in Bærum. His new home became a gathering place for painters, poets and musicians. Eilif Peterssen, Kitty Kielland, Harriet Backer and Erik Werenskiold all made trips to the farm. Skredsvig's famous neo-romantic painting Seljefløiten (1889) was painted by the Lake Dælivannet in Bærum. He also conducted study trips, to Corsica in 1888 and to southern France in 1891.
In 1894, he moved to Eggedal in Sigdal municipality where he built his home Hagan. In the natural landscape of Eggedal, Skredsvig found inspiration and motives to paint".

OTHER NOTABLE REMARKS
—————————————————————
• As stated in the Team Chaosmos log, that team and Team Postmythic are in a alliance, which was confirmed by Kioo, alongside Chaomos’ leaders; Aaron Praan and Lance Psychí
• Kioo originally grew up as close friends with C Lumikha, another member of Team Chaomos. Both originally lived in a village that eventually got destroyed during their childhood, leading to Kioo losing their mom in the aftermath
• Both Dezobis & Ágnostos have zero knowledge of who their biological parents are, and have spent a majority of their lives traveling the country, and eventually met each other in the process whilst Canzone was performing a song for a crowd of people in a remote village
• In that same village, a horde of entities attacked it. Which lead to Dezobis & Ágnostos helping to defend the village from destruction, managing to salvage a good amount of the village itself and its denizens. Both of them have also stated that they learned about Arcana Academy through the suggestion of a villager.
• Págos & Nar were solely taught in a private school for students that descended from mythical creatures and humanoids. Said school has great ties with Arcana Academy
• Krǔv is one of many vampires that attend Arcana Academy. If by any chance a vampire hunter enters academy premises, they will be immediately ushered away and reported to city authorities
• Magie’s parents do not condone her identity as a transgender female and her enrolment in Arcana Academy. If by chance do they arrive to take her back, Academy faculty will escort them off premises
• Despite Allende being a classified as a human, she has stated in an interview that her bloodline has a deep connection with the stars, and supposedly drew power from the constellations.
• Seda also comes from a bloodline with close ties to the paranormal, and while she does inherit an obsession with paranormal activity, hacking seems to be her favourite hobby
• Uisce and Amaré both originate from underwater villages and have little to no knowledge about culture from the surface world. Faculty will take caution with explaining certain topics to the both of them, especially considering how both have exhibited symptoms of homesickness.
• Reanimar has actually attended Arcana Academy in the past before their father took them out of the Academy due to what happened involving the deaths of 2 academy students. He was only in the start of his first year when he was forced to leave, so they’re essentially restarting education here.
• NHP agents that are biologically related to Reanimar are on the look out for them to take them back into their custody. If they do end up entering Academy premises, they will be immediately escorted out and reported to city authorities

How many languages can you speak (besides Spanish which is your native tongue)? I'm asking because I saw your post where you talk about teaching yourself Swedish
What language learning methods do you use which are working for you?
I can only speak Spanish and English. I can understand portuguese, which is like a given if you're a native Spanish speaker simply because they're so similar, but I can't speak portuguese. I understand it when I read it or hear it.
I've been trying to learn a 3rd language for theee longest time though. I did like 5 months of German in 2012 or 2013, but then quit because it was half online and I didn't really like online classes.
In 2011 my family and I were host family to a girl from Iceland who came to Argentina as part of a cultural exchange program and she stayed with us for half a year, so I got familiar with Icelandic. Then, in 2016 I watched skam and realized it was very similar to Icelandic (which is really easy btw), so I started doing Norwegian lessons on duolingo, and it was really fine, I did well. I was in a groupchat with people from Norway and other Scandinavian countries where we'd have easy, starter-level conversations in Norwegian. But then the skam hype died down and so did the group, and even though I kept up with my duolingo lessons, I didn't really have anyone to practice Norwegian with, so I forgot it.
I just started Swedish lessons last week after watching young royals because while watching I realized I could understand some phrases since Swedish is so similar to Norwegian and Icelandic. And that's it for now!
Duolingo worked for me with Norwegian, and so far it's working for Swedish as well. But tbh Scandinavian languages are sort of simple in their grammar and sintaxis. They're not as complex as English or Spanish. So duolingo works for these two, but I don't know if it'd work for more intricate languages.
I'm hoping Swedish will be the one that I'll finally stick with though, and I'm thinking of looking up like an actual academy here in my city where I could attend real classes once I get my finances in order. I've always been interested in languages and the ways learning a new one develops the brain, so I've really wanted to learn another one for the longest time.
