Little Thor for Aja

Aja's a fan of Norse Mythology, so I made her this little amigurumi. Making tiny things is kind of a pain in the ass because of all the little bits and pieces and small amounts of yarn of different colors you need. (^_^'). Still. It was worth it because I think it came out well

Also, I don't amigurumi much. So it felt nice to finish one. I meant to make a Loki too and got too lazy.

I was reading "The Witch's Heart" last week and I had to draw Loki as the book described! This is one of the very first scenes and I loved it.🎑

So I had this idea of drawing 3 versions of Loki I liked best. So in this drawing we have Loki from the book, Loki from MCU and Loki/Atreus from GOW 💚

I've also taken a time to paint and experiment with different styles of coloring and loose sketch instead of a proper lineart, what do you think?🧐

I’ve struggle a lot in my life with finding my place in the world, my purpose. When I started my journey through paganism I’ve felt relieved discovering that I hadn’t to feel ashamed for my desires or for my way of being myself. I’ve had a christian upbringing and I’ve always felt uncomfortable with the “repent for your sins” thing or for the feeling of constant shame if you think or act differently.

In the last decade, I’ve noticed that a key word has been a constant in my journey : devotion.

It’s a fascinating word. The willing to devote oneself to someone or something one truly believes in, I think it’s the most powerful and selfless act of love one can do.

Not long ago I’ve had a Human design chart reading and guess what’s the word to describe my purpose? Exactly: devotion.

Now I deeply understand my long lived fascination with the myth of Sigyn and it hit me hard on how I ended up in my atypical love relationship (one kind that people outside of it don’t understand or judge for the many differences we have), on how I feel about it and how I live it.

For the first time I’ve felt seen. I’ve understood that it’s a part of me, of who I am and that’s ok if others don’t understand; it’s just for me to understand it, live it fully and be true to my heart.

So here’s my toast for lady Sigyn:

To the Devotion herself

To the purest of heart,

To the holder of the bowl,

To the loving and grieving mother,

To the wife of the unfairly punished one,

Let me learn how to be true to my heart, to love with my whole being, to be steadfast and loyal.
