Poor quality photo but I moved my queer ancestor altar inside and updated it a bit

Current ideas:

1.) Keep my HRT on the altar so taking it becomes a (more) sacred thing

2.) put pins from queer history on the altar

3. Get pictures of Marsha P Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, Amelio Robles Avila, etc and put them either in frames or in a digital frame on the altar

4. Buy the most dramatic goblet/wine glass I can find to replace the $2 tea cup (I do have a drinking horn but it looked wrong on the altar)

You know what I give Loki a lot of flack for refusing to learn anything from his mistakes but honestly NOTHING my loser failwife did will ever compare to Óðinn motherfucking Borrson basically getting a front-row seat to a cautionary tale about the way that paranoia and distrust will turn those closest to you into strangers and threats in your eyes and ultimately lead to your own downfall - from a man that he raised as a son, no less - and coming out of it going "wow that was fucked up lol, anyways back to imprisoning my bestie's son in a cave somewhere so he doesn't bite my head off like in that one prophesy I saw". I couldn't stop thinking about the quote: the first born daughter is always the female version of her father. Which immediately made me think about Angrboda and Loki's daughters! (At least my versions, sorry Moder maybe next time? Also I realized the twins could've been more interesting if I drew their grown versions)

Anyhow, Hel looking like Loki and Trollkvinna looking like Angrboda! Then I decided I should draw everyone else in the family and their unique features. Because side profiles are so fun to draw when I don't struggle, I hope they're not too weird looking! Don't mind the titles I gave them btw ✨

We imagine Loki's punishment in the mouth of the cave. After all, He is the god of many mouths, Hveðrungr, Gullveig's last stop, and Stitchlip. Why would he not be in the mouth?

Because you don't put out a fire by giving it, O Loptr, fine mountain air, sunlight, or wind.

My Norse kit is finally done after 8 months of work! It includes an underdress, apron dress, forecloth, trefoil brooches, swag beads, three necklaces, wool socks and garters, a shawl, and a tablet woven belt. Most of the kit was hand-sewn and made by me! This is the largest kit I've put together thus far, and while making it, I've really fallen in love with the Viking Age. So, there will definitely be more Norse things to come!

This is a kit meant for a wealthy woman. There are lots of beads, colors, and embroidery. This kit is also rather impractical to wear whilst doing work, signifying that I can get someone else to do it for me! The underdress, apron dress, and forecloth were hand-sewn by me. The swag beads and chunky bead necklaces were made by me. I wove the belt and garters (not pictured). The belt is tablet woven and the garters are heddle woven. The shoes are from Revival Militaria, the shawl is from FleetFarm, the amber necklace was a gift, and the trefoil brooches were a gift from Her Highness at the winter pilgrimage event.
