This is a rant. It has spoilers. Read if you dare.

This is Normantis.

Normantis is a mage who was one of the victims of the Nexus war, when Malygos and the blue dragonflight based in Northrend declared war on mortal magic users because they felt that mortals could not be responsible with magic. Normantis suffered the loss of friends, colleagues, comrades.

And he blames the entire blue dragonflight for it. Hates them.

An entire race.

So what does he do? He harms the whelps of the Azurewing branch of the blue dragonflight.

The Azurewing blues were living in the Broken Isles, and had nothing to do with the Nexus war. The whelps are only infants. They couldn’t have done anything to hurt anyone yet, because they were only too recently born. The oldest of them would be the equivalent of a toddler. They are innocent.

Ladies and gentleman, let Normantis the Deposed serve as an example, that it is not okay to hold an entire race at fault for what one group did years ago, and it is especially not okay to harm children for it.

That being said, I have no problem killing this despicable character every time this world quest is up. There’s a special spot in my heart for people who harm children. It resembles the deepest pit of suffering in hell.
