okay I finished the fucking blanket, it’s huge. it’s gonna be so expensive to ship. 155oz of yarn, I can only compact it down to like 1.5′x1.5′x1′. (I have 5oz of yarn left over to make a mini one for jackie since she loved sleeping on it so much.) but we’ll be fine and it’s worth it. and I labeled all the socks with names of recipients (they were just labeled with shoe sizes) and sorted them and I can do as many as I want or as few as 3 pairs (in 2 colors) depending on how many I can fit on twine above one pot of dye and how much energy I have. I’ll be doing that tomorrow since arin’s covering a long shift and won’t be home to suffer the vinegar smell.

then I have one more pair of to-ship and a scrap tube to go with them (recipient isn’t sure if this alpaca yarn I’m using is safe for their wool allergy but would like to test it), and two pairs for arin, and I’d like a pair for me before I forget how to make them for 10 months. and I guess jackie’s scrap blanket will keep me occupied during phone calls for a week or two. and a batch of toffee if I can be assed, and packaging and addressing everything, and maybe christmas cards if I can convince myself it’s worth the energy. and then craftageddon will be over.
