I feel like Nora would be “mad” at Quinn for that hit on Norris

she IMMEDIATELY looks at caroline a scowl on her face,

"turn it off," nora demands,

"nora honey-" caroline tries,

"no daddy mean i dont wanna see,"

Do we think Nora regresses a bit at this time with Quinn away where she can’t sleep in her own bed because she went into Quinn’s once and slept better and was far less out of sorts and now she just has to sleep in his bed and be near him and around him and it’s like her being a baby again and trying to transition them into their own room and sleeping through the night

ok so we know she struggled with potty training this summer because of a certain anaheim duck being the worst

but quinn was finally able to get it to stick

until he starts travelling without her

and it all goes wrong

she starts having nightmares, which leads to wetting the bed and well that means pull ups at night again

its many many nights of struggling to sleep for nora, which means caroline (her nanny) and quinn get little sleep as well

it takes almost 3/4 of the season for her to adjust and the nightmares to stop

Idk if you’ve talked about this lol but how does Quinn deal with Nora’s tantrums??

lots and lots of practice with gentle parenting

it is NOT easy, especially this season with her not travelling with the team

but most of the time its just about difusing her to calm then talking it through so quinn usually holds her, lets her be sad, then talks it through with her

Quinn saying bye to Nora ahead of this long road trip

"im gonna miss you baby," quinn whispers as he holds nora close,

"no go," nora cries into quinns team issued sweatshirt,

"shhhh," quinn hushes, "i left a sleep shirt for you and my blanket ok? ill be home before you know it," nora just clutches to him harder.

her little sniffles and hiccups muffled by his hoodie,

"i love you darling," quinn reassures kissing the top of her head, "so much,"

Toddler Nora wearing a two piece in the summer and her uncles get protective

"what is she wearing?" trevor asks as quinn and hora make there way down the dock. nora holding tightly to her dads hand,

"a swim suit," quinn says as nora beams,

"i picked it out at target trevvy do you like it?" trevor scowls,

"no where are all your clothes?" jack pops up staring at his niece,

"yah quinn," the middle child says, "where are her clothes?" quinn rolls his eyes as he scoops nora up and deposits her on the boat,

"if that is what she wants to wear than that's what shes wearing," quinn says matter a factly.

"if shes wearing what?" luke asks as he comes running with the wakeboard under his arm,

"A BIKINI!" trevor and jack exclaim as luke looks at his niece, eyes narrowing at nora,

"a bikini?" he asks as he turns to quinn,

"she picked it out," the eldest says with a shrug, "what was i supposed to do?" luke narrows his eyes before he shrugs,

"i mean its not like shes surrounded by toddlers," the youngest hughes points out, "its just us, and she does look cute so,"

Jack in pain at the lake house and frustrated with his recovery and gets annoyed by Nora but instantly feels bad when she bursts into tears

"PLEASE UNCLE JACKY!" nora yells, "I WANT TO PLAY!"

"DAMMIT NORA!" jack snaps, "I CAN'T DEAL WITH YOU OK! IM HURT I CAN'T PLAY! I CANT DO FUCKING ANYTHING!" nora flinches moving back from her uncle as she begins to cry hard,

"what the HELL is going on in here?" quinn asks as he runs into the room, scooping his crying daughter into his arms,

"SHES FUCKING ANNOYING ME!" jack yells, "SHE DOESNT GET IT!" quinn puts a hand on noras head as she cries into the crook of his neck,

"dont yell at my daughter because you're in pain jack rowden," quinn hisses, "she is 3 fucking years old and doesn't get it jack. that's how it works,"

quinn never lets anyone to bedtime with nora expect elias because they use to live together when nora was born so if there is anyone quinn trusts the most with his daughter is elias and when elias and brock comes to lake house elias does bedtime with nora and everyone is like WHAT!

"you good giving her a bath?" quinn asks as he passes nora to elias,

"HE GETS TO GIVE HER A BATH?" luke yells,

"YAH WHAT THE HELL QUINN?" jack joins in as he comes running into the room,

"elias has been giving her baths since she was 6 months old," quinn says to his brothers, "and for about 2 months he was the only reason why she slept, so he can give her as many baths as much as he and nora want,"

jack and lukes faces both turn into pouts as nora leans into elias,

"petey bath,"

"go ahead," quinn says as he leans to kiss noras temple, "ill come say goodnight when you're done, ok?"

"mhm," nora hums as petey turns and walks up the stairs,

"this is ludicrous," jack mumbles,

"you don't even know what that means," quinn says as he walks past his brothers and into the kitchen.

quinn peeks his head into his daughters room unable to resist the urge to step inside when he sees her messy head of air peaking out from under all her covers.

as quietly as he can he enters the room and sits on the edge of nora's bed. instinctively the toddler turns towards her dad as she nuzzles further into her pillows.

gently quinn pushes the covers back and scoops nora into his chest,

"hmuggg," nora grumbles out,

"shhhh," quinn coos, "its just daddy baby girl," he reassures rubbing noras back.

nora hums nuzzling into his sweatshirt,

"da," she breaths out before she relaxes again,

"wanna come sleep with me baby?" the dad asks softly, "i missed you honey," nora just hums her hand reaching up to grab onto his sweatshirt.

quinn smiles pushing himself up and off of nora's bed,

"alright honey lets go to daddys room,"

Teenage nora in a bikini, with friends over, and her uncles are like, no, and they see the looks she's getting from guys and are trying to get quinn to do something lol

nora had made friends with all the kids growing up around the lake, and now they were all 15/16/17 years old and the hughes house had turned into the hangout spot.

quinn and layla were the cool young parents, nora was the only one who could get away with taking the boat out, and she had a nice big pool.

so it wasnt a surprise when jack and luke arrive back at the house one day and find that there backyard has been infultrated by teenagers.

"what is going on?" they ask quinn,

"she has some friends over,"

"what is she wearing?" luke says narrowing his eyes,

"i dont know a bathing suit?" quinn says looking at his brothers like they're crazy, "i think she got it with layla," jack scowls,

"and you're letting her wear it?" he screeches. quinn rolls his eyes,

"shes 15 years old get over it,"

Nora barely being able to sleep because its gonna be halloween and hockey time and her uncles are there

"daddy!" nora screams from her room, "I CANT SLEEP!" quinn sighs looking at his mom, dad, and brothers,

"i can go-" jim says moving to push himself off the couch,

"i got it," quinn says beating his dad to the punch, "its my turn and i have a feeling shes just to wired, so im probably going to let her watch a show in my room," he looks at ellen as the mom of three smiles reassuringly,

"jacky used to be the same way," she reassures, "one episode of arthur and he'd fall fast asleep," quinn chuckles shaking his head,

"of course it was,"

"UNCLE JACKY!" nora screams as jack opens the door to the passenger seat,

"hi bugaboo!" jack coos, "how was school?" the uncle asks,

"good!" nora yells, "wheres lukey?" jack chuckles looking back behind him as luke pokes his head over his brothers shoulder,

"right here nor!" the youngest brother exclaims,

"UNCLE LUKEY!" nora yells even louder then when jack had appeared,

"hi nor," luke greets voice soft, "have you had a good day?" nora nods her head enthusiastically,

"i got to bring show and tell today, and i brought your jerseys! cause you come!"

as much as Nora loves her family and her uncles at the lake house. Sometimes she just wants her daddy and 101 time with no one else around. Like at home in Vancouver where they can play just them or cuddle up and watch a movie. But because Nora is so little and still learning to communicate she kind of has a tantrum trying to explain that she just wants her daddy and no one else around for a bit.

"NO!" nora yells pushing luke away from quinn,

"nora wren," quinn snaps, "you do not push," the father chastises,

"NO!" the three year old yells again tears beginning to stream down her face as it turns red,

"nora," quinn coos softly, "honey what's going on?"

"DADDY!" nora cries throwing herself into quinns chest, sniffling as she sobs,

"ok ok," quinn soothes moving to stand as he gently rubs his daughters back, "maybe its time for us to a nap," nora clutch strengthens around him,

"no leave," quinn pulls back so that he can look at his daughter's teary face,

"honey you're tired you have to go to bed in your room," nora's eyes fill with tears as she shakes her head adamant,

"no." she says, "no go," quinn sighs brushing his hand through her hair,

"do you want to nap with my on the coach?" quinn asks,

"no room daddy," nora says. quinn bites his lip,

"ok hon. we can nap in my bed, maybe watch a movie?" nora smiles nodding,

"please daddy," she pleads. quinn kisses her forehead gently,

"ok hon,"

anything with nora and the uncles

"hi uncle lukey," nora whispers as she climbs into her uncles bed,

"hmm," luke hums,

"nappy?" nora asks as she manages to climb under her uncles covers and on top of him,

"sure munchkin," luke mumbles wrapping nora into his arms, "wheres quinny?" he asks as his eyes begin to flutter closed,

"dunno," nora mumbles, "but i sleep,"

and when quinn goes looking for his daughter, who was supposed to be laying in bed, he's thrilled to find her in her uncles arms. both snoring softly.

Nora refusing to be carried because it isn't her lukey and Luke is concerned about her walking with them in the crowds at the game

“NO NO NO!” Nora yells as Quinn scoops her up,

“Nora stop,” he chastises voice soft but stern, “uncle lukey cannot pick you up and I cannot have you getting lost understand?”

Nora blinks at her father before crossing her arms,

“No daddy,” she says defiantly. Quinn sighs tightening his grip on her wiggling body,

“Well you have no choice,”

nora getting sick and being really clingy to quinn

quinn walks into the school office hesitantly,

"hi uh i got a call about nora hughes," the secretary looks up smiling,

"ah yes she is just in their," the woman points to a door with the word 'nurse' on it,

"thank you," quinn mumbles before going over and entering the nurses office.

"you must be mr. hughes," a young lady says a soft smile on her face,

"uh yah,"

"shes asleep just behind that curtain," the nurse says softly, "she threw up so her soiled clothes are in a bag next to her backpack, and shes complaining of an earache and shes got a high fever," quinn feels his heart sink as he nods.

he pushes the curtain open and goes to his daughters side, noticing her pink cheeks and the way shes shivering even in her sleep,

"oh baby," he mutters as he reaches down and runs his hand through nora's sweaty hair,

"daddy," the 8 year old chokes out,

"hi darling," quinn speaks softly, "how are you feeling bug? icky," nora nods wiggling until her arms are free from under the blankets,

"daddy," she cries,

"shhhh," he shushes reaching down and scooping nora into his chest, "daddys here now, lets get you home darling,"

“Hey? Any idea where Lukey is?”

“He’s outside why?”

“I can’t find my child and to find my child means finding Lukey”

Where Lukey goes Nora goes because at the start of her life where Nora went Lukey went

luke loves just holding her

especially once shes 3/4 months old and can hold her head up she loves having her sitting on his lap

luke even goes to some of her doctors appointments with her and quinn. he just worries about her constantly
