(This was my introduction into transformers, and rereading it now(cough cough my first time was last week) I’m just screaming at all the namedrops THEY DO CHARACTER INTRODUCTION SO WELL)

(Even tho I knew nothing about TF last week I still binged the entire thing) (even tho my uni exams are in a fucking month such bad timing aaaaaaaah)

(it was surprisingly understandable to an outsider and that is SOMETHING)

went through Giovanni's quotes the other day and he has a surprising amount of 'adults know better'\'you are just a kid and therefore stupid' lines, which made me think that he is somewhat sensitive about his age. Not that he misses being young, rather he feels insecure about clear signs of aging. Red called him 'old' once or something and he never recovered.

"When Tim bolted out of the photo booth, I had no idea where he could have gone. Apparently he nearly got sick on someone's shoes before dipping out the back door. "I caught him smoking outside. (He's supposedly trying to quit, but I noticed he'd picked the habit back up again recently) I wanted to scold him about it, ask him what made him fall off the wagon, ask him what was wrong. "But when his head snapped up to glare at me... it sounds silly, but I don't know. It didn't even seem like it was Tim looking back at me. I just left him to it. He seemed like he needed the space."

The first month or so after getting cursed, things would be real rough for not only Tim, but Ratman as well.

When he first shows up, Ratman just sort of has a normal rat brain and doesn't realize how freakishly large he is. As time goes on though, he starts to soak up life experience and gain more human-ish consciousness (because he's got a human-ish brain mixed up in there), but at the beginning, he has regular rodent freak outs about loud sounds, weird smells, and as seen at this infamous New Year's party, flash photography.

He gets better about it eventually, but for the first little while, Tim has no idea what these sudden panic attacks are about. He'll find out soon enough though. :)

my concept of donut is like, he should be on a 1960s white america boyscouts poster but like, goofy about it. do you get what i mean.

like to me donut was basically cooked up in a lab to be a parody of the Good Ol’ Boy Back When Boys Were Real Boys who played outside all day with friends smacking each other with sticks playing space cowboys and aliens, rubbing dirt in all his cuts and knowing big boys repress all their emotions except Boisterousness, always says his yes maams and yes sirs and never questions authority (but also, y’know, boys will be boys so of course they’re up to Mischief when unsupervised, a bit of chaotic and violent rule-breaking fun is all fine and good as long as they’re respectful to authority and just accept their punishment with an “awwww, man! Shucks!” in the end).

a parody because it plays up how someone genuinely like that probably must be pretty stupid/oblivious/gullible to be so pliable to authority and follow dumb norms of “what is a nice polite young man supposed to act like” without any thought into “wait, what makes this something it’s important or nice to do? are there perhaps other things i could focus on doing that would actually be more important or nice to do? do i actually get or care what being nice and doing good is, or do i just like doing whatever i want without having to think about Ethics and then having a very easy set of rules of How To Be Nice to follow”.

and also a parody because he also is like, extremely gay, and he literally just does what he wants and acts how he wants and it’s simultaneously ^that whole Good Ol’ Boy thing and the most flamboyant stereotypically gay mannerisms and hobbies you’ve seen in your life. and he just fully lacks the interest in doing any reflection that would lead him to conclude anyone might see these as rather contradictory or subverting expectations. he’s exposed both to norms of good behaviour coming from conservative places and from progressive places and doesn’t really think about these perhaps being conflicting ethos, he just grabs this random patchwork of “hey this is something someone told me yayyyy :)”. he can enthusiastically follow the letter of many laws rooted in heteronormativity and toxic masculinity and also the letter of laws coming from Progressive Ideals but he fully does not give a shit to consider whether there might be a bigger spirit to any of those laws. dumbitchitis got him immune to internalized homophobia (no he isn’t actually. but he is quite certain that just Not Thinking About It means any negative emotions don’t exist. this is a foundational truth to donut’s understanding of the universe)

what i’m saying is donut should simultaneously give the impression of walking straight off a cheery WWI Join The Troops poster or 1960s boy scouts ad, but also of being absolutely A Pansy of the same era, but also of being the kind of modern queer who says “be gay do crime” not because they’ve given two seconds of thought to prison abolition but because they find doing crime really fun

I've started playing Potion Permit, and so far it's one of my favorite games I've messed around with, but the most big brained move the devs made was giving you a dog on day 1, and then making that dog able to track NPCs and lead you directly to them no matter where they are in the town.

but it's a bit discouraging that lando's only way to fight for the win is to out qualify oscar. so if he has a bad qualy, it means his race will only be damage control even if he has the pace to win. It's probably bc the race is still so fresh and i'm still reeling, but i think the way mclaren works will be lando's downfall… yeah, very dramatic xd

don't be discouraged!!! please don't use this last race to extrapolate to every single race in the future!!!! it's a track specific thing where it was not really possible for cars to follow close and fight, because of dirty air significantly fucking your tires. if he'd tried to fight before the last few laps, and oscar had blocked him, lando could very easily have lost position to george at least, if not ended up off the podium altogether. it's not worth ending up off the podium to risk fucking your tires early!!! then he couldn't fight at the end like he'd hoped, because of the brakes, but that's just how it goes sometimes.

i think lando is a smart, experienced racer who understands that over the course of an entire season, p2 is far, far better than a very risky swing at p1 and ending up p4. people like ollie lower in the field who were fighting didn't have high stakes like that!! there are just some tracks where quali performance is everything. monaco is another example, where track position is everything. sometimes you have to perform on saturday to win on sunday, but there are also many, many tracks, where this is NOT the case. if somehow oscar manages to outqualify lando in japan, you will see lando follow close and pass him, imho <3333

Like when I first designed him, I wanted to make “Six. But human.” And made him look at least similar to my design for Six at the time. But now he. Shares VERY little resemblance to Six at all like.

How did this happen.
