Nonope "Nono" Nope (pronounced 'noh-pay') is the cousin of Meiko and A'kihiko from their father Mokoko's side of the family. Her mother is of the Dunesfolk, and so originally they lived in Ul'Dah, where she took an apprentice ship at the Goldsmith's guild. Upon rising int he ranks there, she decided to head to her father's homeland of La Noscea to also study armor and blacksmithing.

Upon learning Nono was in need of real-world experience, Mokoko reached out to his children, who just so happened to have recently opened their own guild. Although the cousins did not know each other, they agreed to chat with Nono to get a feel for her personality. Nono is surprisingly serious for someone from their father's side of the family, but in a very professional way. She is very analytical and inquisitive, although tends to loosen up after a few drinks. Meiko and Hiko were happy to add her on as 'staff' in their guild.

Star Shards and Spriggans – 01/06

Adventure recap and bonus screenshots below the break~

The Draffthouse Barons received their first job of the new year courtesy of an Ossuary contact and regular co-conspirator; Lux Lunseer. According to Lux a meteorite had broken up and scattered pieces of aetherically-active crystal in the Central Shroud. She explained how to find the shards and what to do once they had been found but she didn’t explain why it was she didn’t just go gather them up herself…

 The shards were affecting the local wildlife, namely Spriggans. These normally docile creatures were aggressive towards group but smaller groups of one to two didn’t seem to incur their wrath. After being bum-rushed by soot sprites the Barons decided it would be best to venture into the impact crater in pairs. They would search the area while Lux pinged aether off of the meteorite and relayed the sound to let them know if they were hot or cold on the trail. The sound of pinging aether sounded suspiciously like chocobo kweh’s.

 First to hunt was Shane, who found the star shard guarded by a Spriggan who didn’t want to just hand it over. Rather than fight for it Shane quickly hurried off to find an appropriate replacement and the two traded crystals, resolving the issue without having to draw a weapon.

 Next up went Nonope. Her shard was clutched tightly in the twiggy little claws of a Spriggan who wailed miserably at all who approached it. After some careful investigation Nonope determined that it was lonely. Rather than take the Spriggan’s sole possession Nonope offered a trade of a thaumaturgy focus and her friendship. Overjoyed, the Spriggan immediately followed Nonope and was soon brought into the gang as Yesyes Yes.

 The final shard was sought by Nananomi, Nonope’s brother. As we were beginning to suspect his shard was also guarded by a Spriggan who seemed more interested in wooing the lalafel than trading trinkets. It was interested in a friendship of a /different/ kind. It performed a beautiful mating dance, much to Nananomi’s horror. The lalafell had no choice but to dance in return, performing the Manderville flawlessly. Struck by the beauty of Nomi’s dance the Spriggan offered the shard as a sign of their engagement and Nananomi set a land-speed record sprinting right the hells out of that cavern. He spent the rest of the evening staring into the Void and rocking slowly back and forth.

The mission was a success, with four shards successfully recovered [though only three were turned in for the rewards] and no casualties were suffered. Save for Nananomi’s mental health.

Hello, i heard you were doing the ask thing. Mind if i ask something? Do you like theme parks? And if so what’s the scariest ride for you but you still wanna go on it anyways?

Haven't been to one in soooooooo long. I am kinda scared of waterparks tho like, the scariest ride would be just a waterpark on it's own. I mean it just seems so easy to just hurt yourself, or others, I just see all these doom scenarios when I think of waterparks alssdajasd no nop nope not for me. Same with regular rides I guess that you misuse them and then shit goes wrong aslkjs AAHH nonope nope

Due to a few chance, horribly unfortunate encounters over the course of her career, Nhaji has garnered a hatred for Seedkin. Don’t ask.

Nhaji’s aether is aspected heavily to fire, though it also has a small leaning toward earth.

THREE THINGS THAT YOUR MUSE LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME:

Cooking! Nhaji has gotten pretty good at it, in fact. Her favourite thing to cook is hearty stew.

In the past, Nhaji spent a lot of time learning how to read; she was never taught to read or write the common language, only speak it. Now that she has a decent grasp on it, however, she’s taken to journal-writing!

Exercise. It’s a good opportunity for Nhaji to clear her head, which she’s been finding herself needing to do a lot in recent moons. She’s taken up a more intensive training regime, and sometimes her  pet Nutkin, Walnut pesters her joins in!

SEVEN PEOPLE THAT YOUR MUSE LOVES/LIKES:

Kei Aozora - By far her dearest friend, Nhaji has known Kei for a long time, and attributes much of her growth as a person to the Raen and all she’s done for her.

Shio Maeda - Another long-term friend of hers, Shio has saved Nhaji’s life with her healing more times than she’s really willing to admit. 

Swyreyn Keltiyrn - Though she hasn’t spoken with him very much outside of work, Nhaji trusts Soren to have her back on the field, and makes it known that she has his.

X’mahjo Loha - Nhaji only met Mahjo somewhat recently on a mission to locate and save an old friend. The pair bonded through the trials of that rather rough moon, and Nhaji now considers the Seeker a good friend.

Nonope Nope - While Nhaji has known Nonope since her time in Blue Sky, the two have never really spoken much. She may not entirely trust her, but Nhaji admires her strength and wiles.

Orion Llewelyn - Another friend from her days in Blue Sky, Nhaji recently bumped into Orion on an expedition in the mountains of Yanxia. She always did enjoy his company, but the pair haven’t spoken much in some time!

Yesugei Dotharl - To say that Nhaji likes Yesugei is a little bit of a stretch. The pair were dear friends a lifetime ago, but nowadays they’re constantly at odds with each-other and get into fights over the pettiest of things.

TWO THINGS YOUR MUSE REGRETS:

Not learning to fight sooner. Nhaji has only been an active ‘Adventurer’ for a couple years, but has taken to it like a fish to water. The opportunity to learn to fight was presented to her soon after arriving in Eorzea, but it took her a few years to finally take up that offer.

Not putting more effort into reconnecting with her tribe. Though she is trying to establish ties with it once again, Nhaji has struggled to carve a place for herself in her tribe, and often finds herself at odds with some of its other members.

A PHOBIA YOUR MUSE HAS:

Levin. This can reach out into lightning-aspected aether in general, and generally takes the form of a compulsive aversion to levin in general. Nhaji hates storms and generally steers clear of workshops, going as far as to have her shield outfitted with a non-conductive coating.

Oyuu stared at the bottle that had shoved carelessly into his hands by a passing mail moogle, wondering why an envelope couldn’t suffice. Popping off the cork and shaking out the rolled up paper, he quickly unravelled it and read the contents. All the Xaela could manage throughout reading the letter is sigh, then frown, then frown even more. Especially at the last sentence. So, he was meant to keep this a secret, alright. From her rather terrifying stepfather, okay. Manageable, right? Oyuu would just do his best to avoid him. What could go wrong? The Xaela burnt the letter and uttered a quick thank you to Nonope through the linkpearl, if she even heard it.
