Cheers to the freaking weekend! I hope all of you wake up this weekend as happy as this kid woke up from his nap today. I love the light in this little guys room. When we were planning Nolan’s room, I quickly got overwhelmed by the bright colors. I knew I would be spending a lot of time in this room, so it only made sense to make it a place that would promote a calm feeling for this already anxious gal. Don’t worry. Nolan’s toys are all still wild and bright colored. I actually feel like they stand out more with the white walls and furniture. Was anyone else kind of overwhelmed when hey found out the sex of their baby? Keep ready to hear how I was. Took our sweet boy to #touchatruck today and he was literally shaking he was so excited. Check out my story to see him dancing to the music coming from the Kona Shaved Ice Truck. When I found out I was having a little boy, I have to admit I was shocked. When I was pregnant,,m everyone I mean everyone was telling me that I was going to have a girl. I was sick as a dog, I guess I should be glad he wasn’t a girl or I would have been one pathetic preggo. But I digress, I was nervous I wouldn’t know what to do with a boy since I’m such a girly girl. I was scared I wouldn’t be able to play and make him happy. Boy oh boy (literally) was I wrong. This little guy has taught me so much. He gravitates to things he likes and it’s pretty easy to entertain him. When I was pregnant (and now still probably) I overthought everything. Nolan has taught me to be more patient with many things but what I didn’t expect is how he would teach me more about myself. It’s not easy. It’s not my first thought, but it is possible somehow. In his eyes I’m the only one who will be his mom (even though he calls me dada 🙄). So mommas, future mommas, step mommas, mother inlaws, dog mommas, whatever kinda momma you are, embrace your sweet kids that may have some very different interests and you’ll be surprised by how much you will learn through these sweet babes.
