Natsume: Hm? Butler-kun, aND… Our Majesty the “Emperor”, hUH. I hate to have to see your face at this hOUR.

Eichi: That’s quite the greeting, Sakasaki-kun. What on earth could you be doing at such a late hour?

Natsume: You don’t need to go through the trouble of askING. You already knOW, don’t yOU? Your ears are the only good part you hAVE.

Eichi: Fufu, it’s an honor that you have that much confidence in my ears.

I’ll meet those expectations and tell you; worried about Tsumugi, perhaps?

Natsume: …You’re kidding mE. It really pisses me off how genuinely freakishly good your ears aRE.

Eichi: I don’t need to listen closely to it to hear about it. It’s only inevitable with all the commotion there is, you know.

Still, I never thought that Tsumugi would end up dismissed from his position as vice president.

I thought that I had warned you to “not let go of that bluebird that’s by your side”, Sakasaki-kun.

Can you really say that in this situation, you are “getting along and living happily ever after together”?[1]

Natsume: Can’t even hold a conversation without provoking the other paRTY, can yOU. What a pOOR, miserable creature you aRE.

I can only imagine you suffer a severe case of having failed to develop communication skILLS.

Eichi: Fufu, the same can be said for you, can’t it?

Sora: Nn, nnn…

Eichi: We’ll wake Harukawa-kun up if we make too much noise, won’t we?

Yuzuru: Eichi-sama. You too, Sakasaki-sama; I’ve brewed some tea, how about we drink this and settle down?

You’ve just returned from work, Eichi-sama. I’m sure you must be tired.

Eichi: Thanks, Yuzuru. I really didn’t want to have such a conversation so soon after returning either.

Natsume: The hell are you trying to sAY? This old geezER, all he knows is how to spit poison every time he opens that mouth of hIS…

Yuzuru: Goodness gracious. It appears you two still have a lot you wish to talk about.

Shall I move the resting Harukawa-sama back to his room? It would be quite the shame if he were to be awoken by your arguing.

Eichi: That is true. I would be fine with that, but I’ll leave it up to Sakasaki-kun to decide.

Sakasaki-kun is his parent, even though it’s nothing more than playing house, no?

Natsume: …Aaand every time you open your moUTH, you make someone uncomfortable without fAIL.

It’d be a great help if you could bring Sora to his rOOM. Don’t wake him uP, got iT, Butler-kun?

Yuzuru: Naturally.

Eichi: You can retire yourself as well once you’ve seen Harukawa-kun off, Yuzuru. Thank you for all your hard work today.

Yuzuru: Understood. Now then, if the both of you would excuse me.

Eichi: Well then, it’s already quite late. Let’s cut the nonsense. Tell me what you suspect of me so that I can get them cleared up.

Natsume: You’re one to tALK. Were you not the one who spoke suspiciously in the first plACE?

Eichi: Fufu, I do admit that I try to look good in front of Tsumugi, but when it’s you I have a habit of becoming more provocative than usual.

I guess it’s become somewhat of a pleasure to see the look of contempt in your eyes?

Natsume: You are just the woRST. Do you want to clear up my suspicions of you or nOT? Pick oNE.

Eichi: Sorry, sorry. I am honest when I say this, I have nothing to do with this. This has been at the sole discretion of the president of NewDi, Mototsugi Arata-kun.

Natsume: Do you expect me to believe that without prOOF? What evidence do you have that you had no involveMENT?

Eichi: So you’re skeptical too, huh. Well, what would I get from Tsumugi’s dismissal in the first place?

I don’t profit whatsoever over who the vice president of NewDi is or isn’t.

Natsume: That’s not necessarily the cASE. It provides you a chance to slip an office employee into the vacant spOT—a spy who can act for StarPro.

Eichi: Fufu, it’s not worth taking a risk of that measure against a puny agency like NewDi, you know?

That being said, it still is more realistic than Tsumugi’s assertion that NewDi’s close relationship with Thunderbolt posed a threat to our growth.

Natsume: …What was thAT? Senpai told you thAT?

Eichi: He did. It’s a rare instance of high self-evaluation from Tsumugi, isn’t it?

You know what Tsumugi told me? He said that his dismissal would halt the growth of his agency.

Isn’t it more like him to say something among the lines of, “Whether I’m there or not wouldn’t matter”?

Natsume: …The truth is Senpai is someone indispensable to NewDi.

The fact that NewDi has managed to remain afloat today is without a doubt by virtue of Senpai.

Eichi: If that’s the case, then I have to say it’s exceptionally ridiculous that someone whose main occupation is an idol is being made to do this work.

It’d be more appropriate for the agency to hire an office worker who does this as work as a profession, wouldn’t it?

Well, NewDi has suffered from a staff shortage from the get-go, so I suppose they had little choice.

At the end of the day, Tsumugi has merely just been filling in the gaps. The assessment of him being indispensable is only an illusion.

If he truly is indispensable, then the agency’s individualization of work is the big problem here.

Natsume: …HmPH. I know that alreadY, you knOW.

That’s not important right nOW. What is important is that you said something I can’t let slIDE, Our Majesty the “Emperor”.

Eichi: Hm? Now what could this “thing you cannot let slide” be?

Natsume: We’ve been looking for Senpai all dAY, yet we were not able to find him in the eND.

And yET, it sounds like you spoke with him directLY, Our Majesty the “Emperor”.

When and where did you talk to Senpai? Where on earth is he right nOW?

Eichi: …I see, I had been wondering why you were up at this hour, but I suppose that answers my question.

But I must apologize, I don’t have the answers you’re looking for. I haven’t seen Tsumugi since we parted ways after karaoke.

Natsume: Wha…? KaraoKE?

Eichi: It seemed like Tsumugi was also shaken up following his sudden dismissal, you see. So I kept him some company to take his mind off it.

Natsume: HuuUUH?! What is that fuzzball up tO?! Abandoning us to enjoy some karaoKE?!

And what’s mORE! With all people to go wITH… YOU?!

Ah, what time we’ve wasted worryING! I don’t care about that guy anymORE! I’m going to bED! He'll just be back tomorrow morning on his own schedULE, won’t hE!

Eichi: Hm. So Tsumugi hasn’t returned yet…

(I was so sure he’d just head straight back to the dorms afterwards, though…)

I know you’re not really into Enstars anymore but around when we became mutuals I managed to pick up the “oioioi” as a vocal stim which would normally be fine I have lots of weird little stims except. I work at a daycare. My class consists entirely of 3 year olds. One of them has started COPYING ME. I will be playing with her and she just looks at me and says “oi” like she’s expecting a response. I don’t know what to do with this. I thought you may find amusement in it

I do find amusement in this. You have to continue her oi!

I used to use oioioi in casual conversation a lot. I have a group of friends. There were five of us. Two of us were into Enstars, one of us would play it sometimes and the others were not in it at all. But they knew about Rei bc of me and thought his oioioi crying noises was funny. We would send each other oioioi messages in our discord server for a while. I would also text some of my other friends “oioioi (crying noises)” when I am being very dramatic over school or a minor inconvenience. It’s also rlly fun to say out loud in the deepest voice you could muster

3. what work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

mmm im proud of a few of my fics for different reasons but this year it has to be my enstars bigbang fic...... its not published or even finished yet (im Almost There tho i might finish it tomorrow if i have time) but ive been working on it for many months now and its been such a journey writing it and im quite proud with the final result!! its turned into my second longest fic to date too, so finishing such a long fic is another reason im proud of it <3

17. your favorite character to write this year?

RITSU!!!! ive written him in almost all my fics this year and i love it!! i love writing him being silly and i love putting him through the horrors i always find it so easy to write him and i love exploring every side of his character my blorboest blorbo

uuu im so bad at picking good lines from my writing alsdkjfk but i really like the piano scene (part 5) from every season is full of memories of you with me especially the beginning so here you have a little excerpt from the first lines:

“Ritsu, please, we’ve been through this before.”

“And that’s exactly why I’m mad; you still don’t get it, Maa-kun.”

Ritsu wasn’t looking at Mao, his gaze instead focused on the piano right before him, his fingers lightly gracing the keys without emitting any sound. He wanted to play it, to play beautiful and sad melodies that reflected the music inside his heart at that moment and to get lost on them. Maybe forever.

“I do! I get it now! But I already apologized; I really didn’t have any other option this time…”

You never do, right?

Ritsu’s fingers tensed and curved over the keys, but still careful not to tap them hard enough to sound.

“But it isn’t just this time. You always do the same Maa-kun, even when you know how much I hate it. You never learn. And you can’t just expect me to forget all about it with just a simple ‘sorry’ every time.” Ritsu was shaking with a mix of anger, sadness and pent-up frustration, his fingers now clenching into fists over the keys. In a whisper, he added, “That only makes it more painful…”

“Ricchan…” Mao muttered. He sounded even a bit desperate, and it was just too much for Ritsu.

His fists fell hard to the piano keys, making a way too loud noise that snapped the tension between them.

“No, don’t ‘Ricchan’ me!” Ritsu couldn’t believe Mao was doing this to him. His fists clenched even tighter, nails digging hard at the skin on his palms. “I thought you had stopped using that name long ago, so don’t you dare bring it back right now.”

His vision blurred and soon he felt a couple of drops falling onto his hands.

Anyway proceed for the rambles™

Edit before posting: I've answered 5 and this is gonna be long, brace yourselves if you're reading this 😭

1. Hm... Leo and I have done so many things together it's hard to say, but maybe when we spent a month together in Italy. We decided it was time for a much needed vacation and ended up dragging the other knights along since they're dating him as well (although I'm platonic with them ♡). We all spent so much time together as well as Leo and I alone and it was lovely

2. Probably being clingy.......... <3 as someone who struggles with trust, clinginess means a lot to me. And even if it's obviously not for everyone, Leo doesn't mean spending ungodly amounts of time with me, in fact he loves it ♡ he's very much clingy as well and we often just spend time doing our own thing and just hanging out together in silence or even with headphones on. I guess we just love each other's company and being there™ with the other

3. I'd say it depends. If we're speaking personality wise, then probably my openness with love? Just the way I'm very open about how much I love him and the fact that I'm not aware to share that with everyone is something that he probably appreciates a lot. As for physical traits hmmmm I'd say he does like my appearance as a whole a lot, but he enjoys drawing constellations on my freckles and playing with my hair (curly hair moment) so maybe that

4. CUDDLING. We cuddle and talk about literally anything. Sometimes it's really meaningful stuff and sometimes extremely stupid and I love both ♡ cuddling and rambling to each other is the way to go for us

5. Composing together!!! I'm an idol in the Enstars universe (not in Yumenosaki) + LOVE making music irl as well ♡ Leo and I compose and jam together all the time and we love it!! I feel like we get each other in a special sort of way, so we're able to make these sessions really enjoyable :3 and for 2 music nerds this is obviously peak pastime

6. Well he calls me puppy since I'm. A dog™ as well as Qiuqiu/Qiu which is just a nicknamed version of my name (amongst many others). I call him uchuu/chuu because he's an alien (so he's from space) and he's my universe :3 anddd chuu sounds like I'm sending him kisses

7. Literally anything he does makes me happy /hj

But I really like it when he rambles about the things he likes or hums to himself or makes any of his weird little noises /aff

8. Oh boy... I'd say both the time he opened up to me about everything that happened during the war and the time I opened up to him about my own trauma. I think both were a turning point for us to fully understand each other and where each one of us wanted to head to in the future as well as together as a couple.

It was definitely tough and I know both of us feared talking about those things, but ultimately it was for the better and I'm glad I trusted him to this day as well as grateful that he was able to trust me.

9. If it's him rambling definitely music or space. He loves rambling about them and I'm more than happy to listen!! As I said before, I love music so that's never a problem and I'm happy to let him ramble and give my own feedback. I think we both like space in very contrasting ways; he likes the mysteries and conspiracy theories surrounding it and I like the facts and science behind it. I love listening to him and trying to piece together objective evidence to support his claims.

As for me? Probably biology, Greek mythology or Pokémon lol. Those are my three special interests and, in general, Leo will listen to anything I have to say. It's easy to feel heard with someone like him

10. Everything ♡ he loves everything about me and he makes sure I'm aware. He's pretty much been telling me ever since we met

14. If I had to make a list, I don't think it would end honestly. Having each other is already more than we could ask for

15. I feel like we're just the perfect match. We understand each other and we brighten each other's lives, we instinctively know what the other needs and what to give at any given time and love each other like it's breathing. And honestly it's easy to love life when we're together

a/n: GUYS IM SORRYYYY i was playing enstars aggressively these last few days (why can i not get a full combo on melody in the dark) anyways take this !! i had to literally get my chem notebooks from last year out to look for a lab we did LMAO

warnings: a lil bit of yelling and chemistry (in more ways than one HAHA there is literally an entire experiment in this fic)

after missing class for a few days because of a sickness, you were stuck in the laboratory after classes had ended. tighnari, ever the sweet friend, offered to help you complete your lab report for your chemistry class.

the way tighnari went about the experiment was much more organized than you could have ever done yourself. each of the materials were lined up in a neat row. the beaker with water was filled as accurately as possible, and even the pens you didn’t use were discarded into a clean line.

“cut about half a centimeter of the solid potassium and set it aside. it should weigh about one gram,” he read aloud, crossing his legs after reading out the instructions. you did as he told, slicing a little bit off of the bigger piece of metal.

“okay, now what?” you asked.

“now, place the metal into into the water and watch the reaction. make sure that your goggles are secure!”

you adjusted your glasses, pulling them over your forehead so tightly that you were sure it would leave a mark later. snapping your pair of gloves once more, you picked up the metal and dropped it into the water.

the reaction was certainly not what you expected. it started off as a small, pink fire consuming the top of the metal. it sparked slightly, specks of fire bouncing off of the glass beaker and falling into the water. as you went to go write down the reaction in your notebook, tighnari spoke up quickly.

“hold on, that’s too much—!” he started before grabbing your arm and pulling you close to his chest. his arms held the back of your head firmly, and your arms clung to his lab-coat. his heart beat was rapidly slamming against the walls of his chest.

before you could even respond, a loud bang! echoed throughout the empty lab and the beaker let out a soft sizzling noise. a minor amount of smoke fogged up the walls of the glass. at the bottom of the container was a bright pink and transparent liquid.

after a deep breath in, your best friend relaxed the tension in his arms. “that was too much potassium!” he scolded, letting you go in favor of placing his hands on his hips. pointing at the remaining potassium, you realized that only the gram of the metal was left. “you dropped nearly ten grams of it into the the beaker. the farther down the periodic table the alkali metals go, the more likely it will cause a violent explosion and ignite when hitting water. my archons, what were you thinking?!”

ducking your head down in red-hot embarrassment, your lips turned downwards. “i’m really sorry, tighnari! i swear i didn’t mean to put in the bigger metal!” you apologized, cheeks burning. “it won’t happen again and i was too careless. i’m sorry!”

after a soft sigh, tighnari stood and wrapped you up into his arms. “no, it’s not your fault. you’re still coming back from that illness after all. i should have offered to put it in for you,” he breathed. his scent of lavender and basil brought you some comfort as you reciprocated the action. “and i’m sorry for yelling at you. i was concerned.”

after a moment, he turned his head and looked away from you. curiously, you tilted your head. “tighnari?” you asked. looking at him, you realized that he had reddened cheeks and a troubled expression. patting his soft ears, you smiled. “aww, are you too proud to admit you worry for my safety? that’s real cute, ‘nari.”

with an even more embarrassed expression, he removed himself from your arms. “no, that’s not it. i was just thinking about how much work it would have been if i had to bring you to the infirmary is all.”

“yeah, yeah, keep saying that!” you laughed. casting a look at the pink liquid, you sheepishly scratched the back of your neck. “i, uh, guess we have to redo this whole thing now.”

shaking his head, he smiled. “no, i won’t make you redo your work. it ends up the same anyways. potassium being stable requires it to give away one more valence electron. oxygen in water can take that electron, and thus, the products are potassium hydroxide and h2 gas. the heat produced from the reaction is so strong that it ignites the flammable h2 gas, and creates an explosion like the one you just caused.”

“none of those words made sense, but i’m just gonna take your word for it!” you shrugged, writing it down in your lab notebook.

“in return of not making you redo this experiment, i have a request,” he spoke up as you wrote away.

“yeah? i’m all ears.”

picking up the pink liquid and preparing for its disposal, he smiled. “well, i get to choose what we have tonight. i wanted to try a new boba place down the street. i think it’s a new branch from a liyue franchise.”

“you know what? i would usually argue about mondstadt hash browns, but boba sounds good,” you replied happily.

“and i also want that mushroom special from the restaurant down the street from here.”

“again?! that’s the fourth time we’ve had something with mushrooms in the last week!”

-I got into enstars purely coincidental I just saw in on qooapp while looking for rythm games and...well we all know how that ended up going

-I originally picked fine because "oh that blue haired guy looks neat he seems like a character" and we all know how that ended up going

-and until month 4 my favourite character was Niki because he's such a funky little guy. Had I ever read any stories with him? No. Had I ever looked at his page on the Wiki? No. But he was my favourite because he was such a funky little guy
