LAST LEGACY DUMP WHILE IM ABLE BEFORE MOVISTAR DECIDES TO BAN TUMBLR AGAIN
1-2. Nyacromancy my beloved. I slightly switched the timeline for Last Legacy so my MC, Noel (They/Them) would've actually have stayed in Astraea for on the very least 2 months. So this is definitely a canon ocurrence for me except Noel immediately caved in when Felix asked for cuddles IMMEDIATELY because they're down BAD
3. Noel's final design!! their hair was recently dyed when they interloped so their hair would slowly grow back to its brown roots after a while. This outfit (and some others) were DEFINITELY bought by Felix. Did he buy them out of Guilt? Pining? Unabashed hornyness? who knows...
4. I NEED A KISS OPTION FOR THIS NIX HYDRA. WHY CANT I KISS HIM MORE OFTEN. I WANT TO PEPPER THIS MAN WITH KISSES. LET ME KISS HIM NOW.
5-6. Look, all I'm saying is that necromancy and its possible uses is a VERY gray issue and it cannot be answered easily AND i will give felix the benefit of the doubt over how he deals with his research. BUT he needs to have set limits. All im saying we shouldve had a neutral option because Y'ALL... THIS IS TOO COMPLEX
7-8. haha.... what if Rime's taunts in ch5 actually worked because you've been secretly pining for this wizard whiom you don't even know likes you back or is capable to and feel really insecure about essentially ruining your crush's chance at a happy life with their og lover... haha.... jk.... unless..... 👀
9. Noel with their dye washing out as well as a Teuta Matoshi dress! They're the S/O of a very rich man and gets along well with (most) of his family of course they're going to be spoiled rotten with pretty dresses to wear 😤😤
This aint even all of my doodles i had to pick and choose which to add
Noel's shared between Roadkill and Last Legacy which function with 3 splintering timelines
so yeah uhm yeah

1. More outfits... I'm still not sure if the post ch.11 one will be final but i'm getting there!
2. C'mon.... we all were thinking it at nyacromancy.... we all were
3-4. Damn Felix you literally were just trying to revive your past lover 5mins ago and now you're getting flustered over the first pretty person u see?? get a grip.
5. Look I'm not saying its them for the first few weeks Noel was in Astraea but... its them. Noel was very enthusiastic about learning magic in their first few days and would 100% love to hear about how death and necromancy interact and affect Astraea's culture. LET ME INDULGE ON FELIX'S HOBBIES ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE NOEL'S (and mine) TOO!! NOEL LISTENING EXCITEDLY ABOUT FELIX'S WORK WITH SPIRITS, FELIX GETTING FLUSTERED ABOUT RAMBLING TOO MUCH BUT WHEN HE LOOKS BACK AT NOEL THEIR EYES ARE ALL SHINY AND MESMERIZED BCS THEY ARE SO INTERESTED ON WHAT FELIX IS TALKING ABT AND WANT HIM TO GO ON... FELIX ASKING ABT NOEL AND THEM BEING LIKE "oh yeah lmao there was this zombie apocalypse once..." AND BOTH OF THEM NERDING OUT ABT HOW ZOMBIES WORK DIFFERENTLY IN THEIR RESPECTIVE DIMENTIONS.... NOEL TALKING TO HIM ABOUT DIFF DEATH AND MOURNING TRADITIONS IN LATIN AMERICA... I AM SOFT PLS LET ME DO THIS IN-GAME AND STOP CALLING HIM CREEPY AND WEIRD
6-7. Haha... what if noel had a breakdown because they were homesick even before coming to astraea and now they don't even have the internet to ground them whilst being in a foreign land.... and they cry in front of felix and it only makes him feel guiltier about the ritual.... ahha.... hahahaha...... ;^)

Noel's LL outfits! (So far)
Noel is only on Felix's route but im making some small pre-route fics that explore their relationship with each of the starsworn, hence why they have fits labled as Sage and Anisa respectively.
The one labeled Anisa is actually Anisa's spare clothes! She lent them some before felix bought them what we know now as their basic fit👌
Also yes. Their astrolabe transfotms into a baseball bat as a reference to their main weapon in Roadkill

Much Ado About Choices (1/5)
Summary: After being given the choice between all three members of the Starsworn, Noel has yet to truly decide who they want to be their guardian for the time they'll be staying in Astraea.
Fictif Stories: Last Legacy, Roadkill (Referenced)
Characters: Noel Villamil, Felix Iskandar Escellun, Sage Lesath, Anisa Anka
Timeline: In-Between Prologue and Felix's Route Ch1
The sun had set in Mournfall; ripples of orange, dim light filled the office where now Noel was settled. Alongside what was left of the Starsworn order.
“You don’t have to decide right now, Noel,” Anisa put a hand on the cosplayer’s shoulder, smoothing the pleats on their cape, which was now regrettably in shambles after the events that unraveled at the Saucy Gull. “You should pick someone you feel a connection to.”
Noel took a deep breath, instinctively reaching for the back of their hair for a lock to twiddle with- or, well, their remaining hair… what once was a bushy, chest-length curly mane had now been reduced to something barely longer than a pixie cut. Their hands only reaching at ghosts of what once was there.
“Oh- yeah. Sorry about that.” The figure behind them speaks up- Sage- the responsible for the impromptu haircut. It was necessary, they knew that- after all, it was the easiest option to get Noel out of danger as one of the patrons had tried to drag them by the hair lord knows where. If Sage hadn't done what he'd done… it was best not to think about that, though.
Despite their clear discomfort, Noel turns their head slightly to catch the man’s gaze, forcing a smile. “It 's fine, really.”
“Heh. Well, if it makes you feel any better, I like this short hair look better. Gives you a certain…”
Noel's smile grows slightly more uncomfortable as their brows pinch. “Please don’t say ‘Je ne sais quois’,”
“Don't know what that means, but if it works for you, works for me.” Sage shrugs noncommittally, wearing a wide grin despite the uneasy wag of his tail. “Don’cha have a potion for hair growth or something?” He shifts to Felix, which had retreated to a corner of the room, his eyes glued to a book whilst muttering something in a language Noel couldn’t quite recognize.
“What?! Magic doesn’t- It just doesn’t work like that, Sage. I just don’t have a potion or spell for everything your minuscule brain may come up with." He sighs loudly, making a show of adjusting his hair and glasses. "... And I’m sure our dear barista here wouldn’t appreciate their hair reaching tantamount lengths in less than a minute, no?” The necromancer lifts up his face, flashing a smile that Noel can’t quite figure out to be friendly or sarcastic; But those smiles seemed to be common from the wizard, as Sage shrugged and laced his fingers to the back of his neck.
“I don’t mind short hair, Sage." To make a point, Noel let down the half-pony they sported and brushed the sides and back to their hair, letting their curls relax and settle. But to their surprise, two long sideburns stood out and framed their face- apparently being spared the cut by virtue of being responsible for holding the hairstyle together. "... Oh."
As if on queue, all three Starsworn looked back at Noel, which had now started twirling both strands self-consciously. Biting the bottom of their lip. "I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Anisa takes a step forward, but before she can put her arm on Noel's shoulder, they take a step back.
"...Very sure. Could I get some air?"
Anisa purses her lips but nods slightly, turning to the side and gesturing to the office's entrance. "There's a balcony to the right of this corridor. I'll escort you the-"
"There's no need! I'll be back in a minute." They rushed to the door, pulling on their sideburns tight as they felt their face getting redder by the second. They must look ridiculous. As they turned the knob, Noel snuck a last glance at the group, all of which looked at them worriedly. Even Felix, who had made a great effort to avoid their gaze for the last few hours, had now his eyes glued on them. “... Just a minute.”
Leaving the office behind them, Noel's heels clacked under the polished stone floor of Mournfall tower, trying to keep a confident stride despite the thoughts that weighed upon them. As they reached the aforementioned balcony, they finally got rid of the confidence facade they’ve tried to put on all day and slumped over the railing, sighing loudly.
They should be happy, right? They’ve just been transported to not only a video-game world, but their favorite video-game world!
So why… Why did they feel their stomach empty with fear whenever they took a step forward?
They touched the nape of their neck, closing their eyes. Usually, in stories, a ‘chosen one’ would be the person who would be taking their place. They weren’t a ‘chosen one’.
Sure, they had survived a zombie apocalypse back on earth, but to be entirely honest, Noel had always thought they were only able to thanks to their friends… and a very conveniently placed weapons shed at one of her friends’ houses. And… it’s not like they were a genius of any kind when it came to their major. Throughout their career, they’d seen much more talented artists. So why them?
It didn’t make sense.
Noel carefully brushed the two tufts of long hair that framed their face now and trailed all the way back to the nape of their neck, rubbing it softly. Memories of what'd happened at the Saucy Gull flooded their brain.
They remembered trying to evade the drunken patrons, barely missing the punches and kicks thrown at everyone and no one at that point. They then remembered the forceful pull at their hair- just as they were about to reach a back door. The rest was a bit of a blur. Before they knew it, Sage had already come to the rescue, unfortunately at the cost of their freshly done dye job. But they couldn't really complain.
Noel's lips pursed as they tapped their fingers on the railing. Looking over the town. Could they have done better at the Saucy Gull? If they couldn't, maybe next time the cost of their escape could be greater than just a couple inches of hair. Would their friends be disappointed in them, meeting such a stupid fate?
"Ahem-"
Their train of thought derailed as someone cleared their throat behind them, Noel turning sharply to face them.
Felix.
“Oh. Uhm, Hi.” Feeling suddenly self conscious, Noel straightened the pleats of their skirt. “Sorry, did I take too long?”
The wizard shook his head before tapping at the book in his right hand. “There’s no need to apologize. I just thought you may want to see this;” Felix beckoned with his free hand to come, a proud smirk on his face. Noel cautiously leaned close, taking a peek inside the book.
“... Felix, what language is this?”
“Oh! My apologies…” He trailed off again, muttering to himself once more in an unknown dialect before stopping and looking back at Noel. “... Well, anyways. Sage’s comment actually reminded me, there’s this spell I’ve read once. It may be experimental, but I’m sure that if done correctly it may aid you with growing your hair back to its original lengt-”
Noel let out a startled chuckle, which rapidly evolved into a fit of giggles. “Felix, I’m fine. Really.” They tried their best to calm themselves down for the wizard’s sake, which now had turned red as a beet in embarrassment. Despite that, Felix’s reaction was much too endearing to not smile at. “I think I have much more serious worries than just a bad haircut.”
“A- a-....” He coughed awkwardly, composing himself despite the blush already having reached his ears. “Are you sure? If you're worried about my earlier remark, I can assure you it was just in jest. Your hair wouldn’t just grow uncontrollably if the spell was applied… err, correctly, that is.”
They put a hand over Felix’s shoulder, giving them a restrained smile- still fighting laughter. “It’s okay. If I had it grow out with a spell then I’d have wasted my money on the whole dye job thing. And, I don’t mind giving Ramona Flowers realness for a while.” They gave a playful wink; only deepening the red that peppered his cheeks. Absolutely adorable.
“Wh-...Sorry, what is a Ramona Flowers?”
“Oh, right.” Now it was Noel’s turn to blush. Pursing their lips and clasping their hands together to rest above their lips. “She’s just… Well, she’s a character from this comic series… I mean, it’s just an earth thing.”
“...Well, if this ‘Ramona Flowers’ is as ravishing as you are, then I suppose there is no room for complaint.”
Oh.
Oh.
He did not just flirt with them, did he?
Noel opened their mouth to speak, but thought better of it and closed it; Instead they gave him an incredulous smirk despite the furious red of their cheeks. "At least I don't have seven evil exes you have to fight with?"
Before Felix could say anything else, they lightly tapped his shoulder and walked out and back into the building. "Let's not keep Anisa and Sage waiting, shall we?"
The wizard just nodded and moved on, following close behind.
"... If I may ask, if this is not your original hair color, then which is it?" Felix's question echoed through the halls of the tower.
"Oh? It's just brown. Nothing special, really. I suppose pink hair's natural here, then?"
Felix breathed sharply at the question, snapping his book shut. "I… Yes. I've seen hair colored all shades of the rainbow. Though it's most common in Ileptha… Sage's species, that is."
"That must be nice. I wouldn't need to spend half my paycheck on dye jobs."
"... right."
Whatever Noel said must've deflated Felix's mood, as his voice now had an uncharacteristic sadness to it. One they'd only heard once at the ritual site.
Before they could even ask about it though, the door of Anisa's office slammed open.
"Noel! Perfect. Felix has come fetch you already."
The pair silently entered the premises. Nothing much was different other than a couple extra chairs that Noel assumed Anisa'd brought in while they were on the balcony.
"So, I do not wish to rush you, but have you made a decision?" The knight gently ushered Noel to the plush armchair by the fireplace, now positioned at the head of the office's table. Each of the starsworn taking a seat around them.
"... I think I've made one, or as much as one I can make right now."
The air seemed to be sucked out for a second. All eyes suddenly in Noel again, waiting for their answer. They took a deep breath, hoping their choice wouldn't anger any of the people in front of them.
"... Well, Anisa's words got me thinking, and I-.. well, I thought given both my situation and your apparent schedules, I'd thought… maybe, it'd be best if we split the workload."
The trio in front of them leaned slightly closer. Even Sage, whom had been sprawled over a chair had straightened up.
Oh gosh, let's hope this wouldn't annoy anyone.
"Today's saturday, right…? So, uhm. Since I don't know any of you well enough to really make an informed decision- I'd thought this week could be some sort of trial period? You know, to make sure I know what could be the best… What could be the best way to arrange time."
Anisa nodded slowly and leaned her chin on her palms. "That sounds prudent enough. How would this trial period work, exactly?"
"So… what I'm thinking is that we could divide the rest of the week by threes. So I could spend Sunday and Monday with one, Tuesday and Wednesday with another and Thursday and Friday with the remainder of the three. You can decide which days of the week work best for all of you; and then you'd have 4 days free to work on whatever you guys do without me butting in."
"Call dibs for Tuesday and Wednesday!" Sage immediately chimed in.
"Sage! We're supposed to decide what works best for all of us! Not just you." Anisa elbowed him slightly, Felix barely restraining a chuckle from his side of the table. "Anyways, I think that's a great idea. I may be busy during the week, but I think I could take any turn available."
"Then I'll take Thursdays and Fridays-" Felix offered in return. "That way Annie can take tomorrow and monday. Or do they make you work weekends as well?"
Anisa shuffled in her chair, letting herself relax a bit. "They don't. Or at least, they wouldn't… I just…" Her cheeks gained a soft shade of pink. "I just prefer to plan ahead."
"That's just Annie for you, Noel. Always working, always busy." Sage leans back on his chair and puts his arms on his neck, yawning a bit. "So prepare to be up bright and bleeding early tomorrow morning."
"Can't wait. I don't think I'd get much sleep anyways."
"Oho?" Sage's ears perked as his grin widened, but before he could tell what Noel could only assume would be an obscene joke, Anisa cut him off.
"Actually, I may need you to be here tomorrow morning too. I believe that, even if we split the workload throughout the week of taking care of Noel, we should prioritize finding a reversal spell as soon as possible. Felix-" The wizard jumped in response, his glasses sliding off his face. "What spell did you exactly perform to bring Noel here again?"
"Ah! Uh. Well, you see, it's quite complex-... I... I actually spent years trying to perfect it and as you can see- er," Felix's face turned a shade of red Noel was quite sure they'd never seen before— and his eyes were now desperately avoiding Anisa's, which were pinned right on him.
He was stalling.
Noel closed their eyes, remembering briefly the events of their first meeting. Felix's bright and crooked smile despite the tears staining his cheeks, the unrestrained joy and warmth of his hug, the words he said… that kiss he oh so gently pressed on their hand.
And then… the disappointment once he'd noticed he'd failed. The way he held himself in sheer sadness and despair. How, even after putting on a show of strength and maturity, his eyes no longer shined as brightly as they did when he first laid eyes on them.
Whomever Felix was trying to bring back that night, whoever he was trying to revive…
…
Deep in their heart, they knew they just couldn’t let anyone now. Whether that be to protect Felix’s feelings or his reputation for practicing illegal magic, they didn’t know just yet.
"... Anisa, sorry. But could we wait for that conversation tomorrow? I think we all deserve some time to unwind after the events of today. Especially after being such a pain on the neck for all of you."
As Anisa’s eyes softened, Noel let out a small sigh. They’d bought him a little time, on the very least.
“You’re not a pain, Noel. But-”
“But they’re right, you know? The night’s young and it’s been a long day. You more than anyone deserves a break Annie." Sage pointed at Anisa, her only slumping in return.
"...Very well. Let's stop for today. But tomorrow I want answers! No more distractions." She wagged an accusatory finger at Felix, who was sweating buckets on his seat. Looking as if he wished it'd swallow him.
Sage shrugs in response. "Sounds good to me. Now, about what we'll be doing during that break…" his eyes shifted to Noel, flashing a wolfish grin. "What d'you have planned? As long as there's booze, I'm in."
Noel rested their chin on the back of their palms and pursed their lips. Giving themselves a second to listen to the crackling of the fire behind them. "Well, if I'm gonna trust you all blindly, I might as well start trying to get to know you guys better-" As soon as they felt the obvious innuendo joke rise from Sage's chest, they immediately corrected themselves "As in conversation! Y'know, talk about… stuff."
"Of course. I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities." Anisa leaned back forward and straightened herself.
Noel nodded, though they still could feel the apprehension on Felix, which'd barely uttered a word. "Great, thanks. Uhm…" they pursed their lips. Trying to find anything that could be said to lighten the mood. "You know, you can also ask about me and about earth too. Or whatever, really."
That caught Felix's attention, which had finally gotten his nose out of the tome he was using to shield himself from Anisa's eyes.
"So… ask away?"
Sage opened his mouth, but before he could even make a sound, Anisa had already pounced at the oportunity.
"What is earth like? I suppose it mustn't be so different from Astraea since we manage to share at least a language, right? What places have you been? How's the food?"
The woman's eyes had now gained a childish wonder Noel thought they'd never seen before. Her composed knight persona had completely peeled off.
"Well, it's difficult to really explain earth… first of all, magic is almost extinct there- so there's oughta be some big differences.
From what I've seen so far… I think that the biggest difference is the architecture, the clothes and… well, everything about Mournfall is just… I can't really explain it."
"Come on Annie, the question you'd asked has too big of a scope. Let's start with something simpler, shall we?" Felix said as he started to relax as well. "Where were you when you before you landed in Astraea?"
"Oh! Right. We've been so busy with everything I never even told you all. Well, I was in FanExpo FantasyCon, it's a convention that is being held in Miami this year… that's close to Orlando, by the way-"
As Noel started, the group huddled closer together. And as stories started being shared and wine started being poured, their worries about what their fate would be inside this strange video game world started to melt away for the night.

Much Ado About Choices (2/5) - Anisa
Summary: After being given the choice between all three members of the Starsworn, Noel has yet to truly decide who they want to be their guardian for the time they'll be staying in Astraea.
Fictif Stories: Last Legacy, Roadkill (Referenced)
Characters: Noel Villamil, Felix Iskandar Escellun, Sage Lesath, Anisa Anka
Timeline: In-Between Prologue and Felix's Route Ch1
"...We should spread out and look for him. I love a good manhunt!"
Noel looked at the girl beside them. Blue eyes, blonde hair cut in a cute bob, and freckles that really put the angel in 'angel's kisses'. Her enthusiasm was contagious, but the worry in Noel's stomach had already overwhelmed their budding crush.
"Whoa, whoa. I signed up for a shared ride to Beverly Hills, not Call Of The Wind."
On their other side, there was Poe. Noel's best friend ever since they arrived in New York a year ago, with barely any money to rent a room– much less afford the outrageous tuition of the College they both attended. Despite his overt pessimism, Noel couldn't help but smile at his reference. He'd always been a little pretentious like that, and they loved him for it. Maybe a little bit too much.
"Hey, can we cool it with the literary references?" The girl snapped back – Tess.
Right, this was no time for joking; After all, one of their roadtrip partners had disappeared without a trace.
"Sorry, that was our thing in boarding school."
"Please, let's focus. We can't just leave Douglas out here." Noel finally chimed in. As fun as it was to see them bicker, the sun was coming down, and fast.
"Seems he wanted to be left." Poe shrugs, but Noel elbows him harshly.
"Colestead!"
"Ow-! What was that for?!"
"Didn't you see the bathroom? There was blood there. What if he's hurt or something?"
"I know. But we're losing light here, Noel. And if you think this place is creepy during the day…"
"So what's the plan then?" Tess spoke up, folding her arms tight.
Both of Noel's remaining partners looked at them. It seemed now they'd be calling the shots.
"...Poe, I know you don't like him…"
"Dislike is an understatement, actually."
"But there's no bars here. I refuse to go without him. We can drop him at the nearest hospital if you want."
"So?" Tess threw her hands at the rapidly darkening sky. "Losing time here!"
"So, We split up and look for him. Our phones have flashlights… once the sun sets, we meet back here."
Tess' face brightened. "Thank goodness one of us has a fighting spirit."
"I'll check behind the gas station. Tess, check the road. And Poe–"
Before Noel could complete their sentence, Poe cut them off. "And I'll search the inside of the van. With the doors locked."
Noel sighed in defeat. They knew there was no arguing with Poe. After all, He was a bit too much of a coward for that.
They then proceeded to round the gas station.
The trail of blood that the group found in the bathroom continued to and into the forest.
Slowly, Noel took a few steps forward, peering into the dark woods. There, they felt something – someone – was watching them.
….
As they feel the chill of a gaze fixed on them, Noel jolts awake, almost falling from the sofa at Anisa's office.
Right.
It was just a bad dream.
It was just a bad dream.
They take a second to get used to their surroundings. The fireplace had been put out- only ashes and charred wood inside of it. The bookshelves that framed it were as pristine as they remembered. And, in front of them, by one of the arms of the chair, was Anisa herself, looking at them with utter bewilderment.
"I'm sorry Noel. Did I startle you?"
Honestly, they weren't quite sure this wasn't a dream either.
"No, no. Sorry, I'm just a light sleeper. I suppose it's time to get ready, right?"
Anisa gave them a tentative nod, slowly walking to their side. "There's no rush today, though. So don't worry about time. Do you need anything?"
"Er… yes, actually. Some soap and a towel. Do you know where I can take a shower here? I usually like doing so in the mornings."
"... What's a shower?"
"Er- a bath, then! I need to take a bath."
The woman crouched down and picked up a handful of pillows that’d fallen from the sofa. Putting them back on their place as Noel stood up and straightened themselves. “Do you need any clothes? I may have some of my old outfits in here if you need.”
“Oh! No, no. I brought a change here on my backpack. Uhm, but…” Noel eyed their cosplay, gently smoothing out the tears. "Could I… maybe get a sewing kit? I'm sure I can salvage most of this."
"Of course. Let me lead you to the bathrooms first."
Anisa turned around and started walking, barely giving Noel any time to put on some shoes and pick up their backpack. "... If you don't mind me asking; what is all this?" They gestured at the hall they were now walking through. Decorated with flags which resembled the concept illustrations featured in the Last Legacy artbook.
"This is one of the many headquarters of the Sunstone order. The most prestigious and respected organization this side of Suhail. I'm just a knight lieutenant, but…"
Hearing her voice falter, Noel quickly chimed in. "You know, usually the military and police are really corrupt where I come from. But you seem to be trying your best to do good by everyone… I think no matter what your rank is, you seem to be doing a pretty good job. Or at least way better than the people back home."
Anisa slowed down for a minute. A subtle pink painting her cheeks. "Thank you Noel. You're always so sweet."
"I'm only stating the obvious. You shouldn't be so harsh on yourself, you know."
The two finished their walk to the bathrooms quietly. Noel's gaze sometimes getting lost in the intricate marble carvings of the pillars or the delicate embroidery of the banners. Before they knew it, they were in front of a heavy wooden door.
"Well. Here we are!" The knight used both her hands to push the door open, releasing the steam from the insides of the room. "Rounding the corner you'll find the private bath. Go make yourself comfortable, I'll leave the towels and soap at the door." With a soft pat to their back, Anisa stepped forward and headed directly to one of the many closets the room was equipped with. If Noel didn't know any better, they'd think this looked more like the fancy locker room of one of the boujee gyms Poe frequented back in LA.
They weren't in LA anymore, though.
They were in Astraea.
With a tired groan, they let themselves into the private bath Anisa had offered them
“Uhm, Anisa? How do I get warm water?” They shouted as they took off their clothes and left them aside.
“Oh- right. It’s the left handle! There’s also some oils in there if you want to relax- my favorite’s lavender.”
“Thank you!”
As per her suggestion, Noel browsed through the selection of oils and settled for a citrus-scented one, dropping a bit of the strong-smelling liquid into the small tub as it slowly filled with water.
After all that'd happened yesterday, maybe they did deserve a bit of a break from the chaos.
…
Wait, no.
They really shouldn't keep Anisa and the others waiting.
After a quick bath, Noel dressed themselves in the change of clothes they'd thankfully packed for the con; A loose sleeveless shirt and distressed denim shorts, all topped off by an olive green cardigan. They breathed in the familiar scent of detergent and fabric softener— it will be a long time coming before they'd be able to smell that particular blend of smells again, they thought.
They took a second to take in the comfort of their clothes. Their left hand softly brushing the worn out yarn of their coat — already a stark contrast from the fancy but restrictive shirt they'd tailored for their knight cosplay.
It felt like home.
Yet… their relief would be short-lived as they stepped out of the bathroom and were confronted with their own reflection in one of the hall’s windows.
Sure, they looked normal. But in a place like this, their own brand of normal was anything but odd.
“Noel?”
Anisa’s voice echoed down the path. Despite the rational part of their brain telling them she wouldn't mind how they looked, they just couldn't let anyone see them like this.
"Err-... just a minute!!"
They hastily went back to the room and took a dry towel, wrapping themselves tight with it as a sort of makeshift cloak. This should be enough for now.
“... are you chilly, Noel? I have a coat you may be able to borrow.” Anisa leaned by the door, cautiously fiddling with the handkerchief at her belt. “I fear a towel may not be able to keep you warm.”
“Oh.” They felt their cheeks burn at the comment. Their ears even ringing in what Noel could only describe to be the melody of their utter embarrassment. “It’s not… that. Well-”
The knight only cocked her head in confusion and, upon seeing there would be no good way to exactly explain their predicament, Noel let the towel fall to the ground to reveal their ensemble.
…
….
…
“It’s bad, ain’t it?”
Noel never thought they’d ever be able to fluster a hardened knight like Anisa, but there she was; her mouth agape and eyes wide open like plates. Her tight curls had now fluffed up and her hands had now moved from her belt to her chest; As if Noel had just insulted her entire bloodline.
“I-It’s not bad, it’s just…”
“Too weird? Too revealing? Too garish? Extremely tacky? Anisa, please. We both know it so give it to me straight. Earth clothes are simply not fit for Astraea.”
The woman sighed and shook her head, smoothing out the fluff off her hair. “It’s… definitely not something I’d personally use, but that does not mean you do not look good. It’s just… different.”
“It 's weird.” Noel’s shoulders slumped as they exhaled loudly. “It’s okay Anisa… I honestly was too caught up with everything I completely forgot Miami chic may be way too far off from Mournfall fashion.”
“I’m so sorry, Noel. I didn’t mean to insult-”
“I’m not insulted, it’s to be expected. I’m just a little worried… How bad is it? I know of course I wouldn’t be able to waltz into town with… this on. But is there any way I could wear any of these… separately? or find a way to integrate them somewhere. with any other kinds of clothes.”
“To be entirely honest… Well, the shorts are of a material I’ve never seen before, but… I believe the shirt and um.. coat? are good for lounging at home. They seem very… breezy.”
The woman’s eyes darted to the small sliver of exposed skin in-between the shirt and shorts.
“... Okay, I could use them as PJs then while I’m here… I’ll see what I can do with the other stuff I have.” Noel pulled the Cardigan tight. Crossing their arms subconsciously.
“You know, the offer still stands. About my old clothes, I mean… I’d completely understand If you do not feel comfortable with using old clothes.”
“Oh. No, no! I’m used to thrifting and I’d actually appreciate it a ton, though…” Noel’s eyes scanned Anisa’s body for a second. Eventually settling back to her face. “I don’t know if they’ll fit. I’m quite tiny.” They let out an awkward chuckle, opening their arms to make a point of their small stature and petite frame.
“I do not mind you making any adjustments to my clothes. Actually, I think they may be in better hands judging by how accurately you tailored you… ah, what did you call it? knight cosplay.”
“Ah, well.. It really wasn’t much… But I’ll see what I can do with that sewing kit you promised.”
“Of course. Let’s get going then.”
The walk back to Anisa's office was much more silent. Despite Anisa’s assurance, Noel could still feel her eyes shifting towards them every so often. Before they could open their mouth to ask her what was wrong, they had already reached their destination.
“Have Felix and Sage arrived yet?”
“No. Actually, we may not be expecting them soon.” Anisa sighed and opened the office doors, letting Noel in first. “They are supposed to be here, but Sage tends to slack off often and Felix… prefers to be fashionably late.”
“Oh. Okay, then.. that’ll give me some time to… change I guess.” Noel gestured at their odd ensemble before sitting back down at the sofa.
The two settled into a comfortable silence as Noel started working on mending the various rips and tears from their Starsworn cape; Carefully switching between different colored threads for the embroidered parts. Despite Anisa's offer to bring them any extra clothes, though, the knight seemed to have completely forgotten about it as she continued to work back on her desk.
“Anisa, could you please-”
The door banged open as Sage entered the room; dragging Felix by the collar.
"Top of the morning, Noel! Did you miss us?"
"Please," Anisa scoffed as she looked up from her desk and put down her quill. "I wouldn't be so sure about that sentiment after what you did last night."
"What?? I didn't undress completely." He flashed a wolfish grin, turning his gaze to the sofa Noel was settled in. "And I'm sure they enjoyed the view."
"I'm sure they didn't." Felix chimed in, who had managed to wriggle out of Sage's grasp. "Speaking of, I didn't expect them to be such a heavy sleeper."
“Heavy sleeper? But I would’ve sworn I heard them speak just a while-...” Anisa stood up and slowly approached the sofa, where a vaguely human shaped lump of blankets stood.
“... Noel? Are you asleep?”
“Yes!!” Noel's hand emerged from the blanket cocoon and pointed up. "Or- well, whatever. I'm supposed to be asleep! Shoo!"
“My, I didn’t know one could speak so fluently while asleep. Fascinating, isn’t it, Sage?” Despite the sheets above their head muffling their voices, Noel could still discern the teasing tone on Felix’s voice. “I wonder what other odd features our earth friend has, hm?”
“Oh? Oooh, Felix you cheeky little… but, of course, I’d be more than happy to help investigate~”
“Stop it!!” They could only let out a choked protest as they felt their cheeks burn brighter. Bundling themselves tighter into the sheets. Though, to their relief, they felt Anisa's boots click towards them and stop by their side.
"You are acting awfully chummy today. Did anything happen at the Saucy Gull?"
Despite the comment warranting a bark of laughter from Sage, Felix only let out an incomprehensible barrage of flustered and indignant sounds. "O- Of course not! What are you even- Annie!!"
"Can't take a spoonful of your own medicine? Stop pestering Noel. In the situation they are in right now, I'm sure being teased is the thing they need the least."
Noel peaked their head out of the blanket slightly. Just enough to uncover their eyes. The scene in front of them, though slightly endearing, made them stifle a small laugh; Sage and Felix with their heads hanging low, Sage's tail tucked between his legs like a sad puppy.
"... My apologies, Noel. Annie is right. We shouldn't be making your life more difficult." Felix spoke first, his eyes darting from one corner of the room to the other. "Even if it is just teasing, I wouldn't want to make you more uncomfortable than what you already must be."
"Yeah… sorry, Noel. I guess I forgot you're not used to Astraea's sense of humor just yet."
"... Thank you. Both of you." They uncovered their face completely, revealing a soft smile. "I was just a bit flustered, no harm done."
"Very well then." Anisa clapped her hands enthusiastically and sharply turned to the desk at the other side of the room. "Now that you're here, we may as well start. Felix; you were going to explain to us the spell that caused Noel to be transported here, right?"
"Ah! W-well, uhm…"
"W-wait, Anisa! Sorry to interrupt, but would it be okay if I changed before you guys started? I'd like to contribute as well."
"O-Oh! Of course. Follow me, I'll show you what I have and you can choose from there."
Noel nodded and pulled the blanket tightly- using one of the safety pins in the sewing kit to fashion it as an impromptu cloak.
"We'll be back shortly. Don't get into any trouble while I'm gone."
Despite the smile on Anisa's face, her tone left no room for complaints.
Once more, the two of them were alone. Noel noticed how Anisa's long brown hair seemed to have a life of its own… Like a cat of sorts.
"... About what you said earlier, on how knights on earth are corrupt… What made you say that, exactly?"
"Hm?"
This time, Anisa was the one to break the silence. Slowing her walk to match Noel's. "I don't mean to pry if that's too personal, though."
"Oh, psh." Noel waved their hand dismissively. "It's alright, really…" They started. "I mean, it's an open secret at this point? All cops are pigs."
"... pigs??" Anisa's eyes opened up at the comment, which made her companion laugh in response.
"Sorry, was that too brash? I need to remind myself that maybe you guys talk way more formally than what I'm used to." They sighed and straightened up, their expression getting more serious. "Honestly, the less said about them the better. Let's just leave it at that."
The knight pursed her lips as her hand reached to the hilt of her sword. "I'm sorry you've had to endure the incompetence of such a force, Noel. I'm honored you've chosen to trust me."
They shrugged in response, letting out another chuckle. "It's fine. I guess I'm holding out hope that there's at least some good knight force or army or whatever in this dimension. Can't speak about the Sunstone order in its entirety, but you've already made a good first impression, though."
Anisa's face flushed at the comment, her eyes darting to her shoes and then back at the corridor. "Ah… uhm. We're here."
The pair entered a small room; seemingly Anisa's quarters in Mournfall. She gently led Noel through the messy place as she hastily tried to tidy up the place- finally stopping at a small closet. "I'm sorry, I… often don't expect anyone to come here, and well-" Anisa brushed her own hair with her hands. "I'm not the most organized person outside of work. But… feel free to look at the closet and choose whatever you wish. I'll be waiting for you outside."
With that, The woman walked- almost fled- out the room and closed the door behind them, leaving Noel to truly take in their surroundings.
The bed was disheveled and covered in a mountain of sheets and clothes- most of which they assumed to be dirty laundry. The desk had boxes of what looked to be the equivalent of take-out as well as scattered notes, and finally, the floor seemed to be in the same sorry state as everything else.
… At least it was nowhere near as bad as Douglas's room back when they shared an apartment in New York.
They opened the closet doors and examined the few garments that were left there. Judging by the musty smell they must've stayed there for a while, but what caught Noel's attention the most was the exorbitant amount of ruffles, lace and delicate pastel colors that characterized Anisa's old wardrobe. If they didn't know any better, they thought, they would've mistaken it for one of the pastel lolita closet hauls they used to watch back on earth.
Noel's fingers grazed through a couple articles of clothing. A shirt here, a skirt there and a couple more accessories and coats caught their attention. But they figured they may as well not take advantage of Anisa's kindness and took only what they thought would be enough to have a consistent wardrobe through the week. As expected though, when they tried it on they truly realized how much Anisa and themselves differed in size. With a sigh, they did their best to look for a belt to keep everything in place- but upon not finding any, settled for a turquoise ribbon that'd be long enough to look around their waist and some more.
"Are you okay, Noel?" Anisa gently knocked on the door, making them jump.
"A-almost done! Just a second!" Noel finally turned around and looked at themselves at the mirror across the room… Sure, it was… alright, but definitely they still didn't look much like someone from Astraea. With a sigh they turned back around to the closet and searched some more. If only they had their sketchbook on hand, they'd be able to at the very least make up a concept of some fantasy costume akin to what they'd seen the three Starsworn wear.
They rummaged through the closet some more, inspecting each article of clothing as they imagined how they could integrate it to their current ensemble. Alas, they were out of luck.
"... I'm hearing quite a lot back there. Do you need any help?" Anisa knocked once more, this time much softer.
"It's fine… actually, I may need some advice. Could you come in?"
“O-... Of course! Uhm…”
The woman slowly opened the door and got in, making sure to always keep her free hand over her eyes. “What do you need?”
“Pff-” Noel walked over and gently removed Anisa’s hand from her face. “It’s okay. I’m dressed. I just wanted to know your opinion on the clothes I chose.”
Anisa slowly opened her eyes, her cheeks still burning bright red. She eyed Noel up and down, tapping her chin with a gloved finger. "It's nice and simple, but… It's missing something."
"That's what I thought, yeah. Any suggestions?"
"I think I may have something." She walked past them and dove into the closet, tossing various articles of clothes around. "I'm glad you've found some things you like from my old wardrobe… But, I was thinking I could take you tomorrow afternoon to town so we could get you something that may fit you better."
"Oh, no no! I wouldn't want you to waste any money on me. I'll be fine with whatever, really!"
The woman shook her head and straightened up; holding a wide peplum belt in both her hands. "Of course it's not a waste, Noel. Besides, it is coming out of Felix's pocket. His idea, actually…. Here, try this on."
Per her request, Noel took off the ribbon off their waist and tried on the peplum. Despite the extra buttons, it was still too wide to hold itself together without any extra support. "Felix…? I don't know, I think he's been the one I've caused more problems to. Are you sure it's a good idea to use his money?" They tied back the turquoise sash around their waist again over the peplum, turning around themselves and fixing up any oddly folded fabric.
"Felix has more coin than he knows what to do with. He may look to be frugal now, but he's used to extravagance. So don't worry about funds." Anisa walked over to Noel and gave an approving nod. "I think this looks quite good... Here."
Anisa's hands softly reached at the back of Noel's hair; fixing up a half ponytail with a stray piece of blue ribbon.
Once done, Noel gave her a shy smile and looked at the mirror; fiddling with the long bangs Anisa had left to frame their face. "It's perfect. Thank you so much."

7-8. haha.... what if Rime's taunts in ch5 actually worked because you've been secretly pining for this wizard whiom you don't even know likes you back or is capable to and feel really insecure about essentially ruining your crush's chance at a happy life with their og lover... haha.... jk.... unless..... 👀
9. Noel with their dye waching out as well as a Teuta Matoshi dress! They're the SO of a very rich man and gets along well with (most) of his family of course they're going to be spoiled rotten with pretty dresses to wear 😤😤
This aint even all of my doodles i had to pick and choose which to add
Noel's shared between Roadkill and Last Legacy which function with 3 splintering timelines
so yeah uhm yeah

HI I REALLY ADORE UR LL DRAWINGS the way u draw is so :((( cute im so obssessed,, what are ur feelings about rime/thoughts on rime/felix/mc since its such a popular ship rn?
I'm mostly mono so its not my cup of tea personally!! But I DEF love how complex the whole relationship (romantic or platonic or love corner/triangle-y) between felix, MC and Rime.
I feel for each and every one of them and their specific struggles to romance (AT LEAST my iwn interpretation of MC because I sometimes find the LL mc extremely slappable in a non sexy way)
Felix's ritual seemingly failing is a v important point on my own hcs because I think that experiencing loss for the second time is what really allows him to finally grieve properly and let go of his unresolved feelings for Rime; since it put the nail on the coffin on how Rime would really never be back.
For my MC, they immediately caught on that the ritual was to revive Felix's past lover (i thought it was obvious when i first played?? Haha) so Noel feels extremely guilty and unfit to be in Astraea. As they develop a crush on Felix, they start feeling even WORSE because they know all those sweet words and soft glances that made them swoon in the beginning were never meant for them, and as such they feel like a cheap replacement and an intruder in Felix's world; Even after Felix starts showing hints of attraction towards them.
Felix has mentioned time and time again how guilty he feels he stole MC from their life back on earth and has involved them in his own messy family problems, so I imagine he must feel like absolute shit over how much he loves MC, wishing theyd stay with him and abandon earth knowing how selfish that is
I feel for Rime the most I think... and thats why I think I can't bring myself to fully hate him despite how much I want to sock him in the face in his scenes. He was robbed of a peaceful death (which to me, a death lover and extremely death positive person felt like a punch to the gut); then, when he finally got himself through hell to be back with the person he loves, he finds out Felix, the love of his life, has moved on! With the person that usurped his revival ritual no less! I feel its very interesting how in Ch5 Rime mentions how he won't allow us to steal Felix from him, which is weird at first given MC and Felix at that point were kind of sort of flirting but very passively? Kind of like dancing around each other's feelings. If anything, Rime killing us was the catalyst for Felix and MC to get together so imagine the FRUSTRATION he must feel. Esp since after Ch5, Rime must feel like he has no purpose anymore; He was brought back to life BECAUSE Felix is in love with him... so if Felix doesn't love him anymore, what else can he do?
Do I think Felix still loves Rime? 100%. Felix's feelings must be SO complicated and he must feel in between a rock and a hard place with his feelings for two people he feels he owes so much to. Is his love strictly romantic, though? Or has it morphed through time to other kinds of love? That's up to the reader! I myself believe Felix is going through this phase where his romantic feelings for rime ar morphing into smth more platonic and a kinship. Maybe starting to recognize how unhealthy his desire to bring Rime back was? Hm.
Do I think they could work as a polycule? No idea! I am not knowledgeable enough to give my opinions but I def see how it would appeal as a VERY good hurt/comfort kind of ship
I myself, prefer to make my MCs suffer :3c
