Of course! I'm happy to share.

So I am professionally recognized as a system per say. Basically meaning a therapist I had who specialized in dissocative disorders said "Yes, I believe you have a system." That was around 3 years ago. 2 therapists later and now I have our current therapist, Melissa. We came out to her as a system, explained our experiences and what it meant to us and she wholeheartedly believed us, which was great!

She offered to reach out to a colleague of hers to get some more information on DID and dissociative disorders as a whole, without violating HIPPA of course. In turn, we ended up filling out the MID assessment (resource linked here). This 200+ question assessment definitely had its weird questions, but it seemed thorough none the less. Melissa sent this to her coworker to help her decipher it. I received an email today stating this!

"I looked through your client's assessment and according to the scoring manual, almost certainly meets criteria for DID."

Woo hoo! Party! My therapist will be talking and going over what the specific graphs of these results mean and will give me the notes she took when we meet this Wednesday. Overall, she's been very supportive through my journey and has been delighted to learn more about this disorder and others as well. If anyone has any well mannered questions for me on my journey through this, or about the test, or anything at all, please don't hesitate to reblog or reach out! ^^

Sharing our joy today as we recieved word from our therapist that we meet the criteria for DID and we will be going over more info on diagnosis on wednesday! You're one of our favorite blogs so we just wanted to spread our joy!
