*sigh* tumblr why do you always have to make my photos so blurry?

tb to some study sessions i’ve had earlier this semester! first one is from last autumn(i wish i still could draw like that) when i skimmed through my history book right before the exam. the other one is from a few weeks ago when i was utterly lost with math! luckily i’m back on track again🍀

Remember, your art is to recreate YOUR vision, not somebody else’s image of perfection. Even a bullet journal. Especially a bullet journal.

I‘ve gone through many things lately and that, surprisingly, affected my style of journaling A LOT. I came back to my original handwriting, started printing quotes and using movie screencaps so it would me more “me”.

That was the moment when I decided to pursue my own style instead of trying to perfect my imitation of what many people do with much less effort.

I tried to imitate cute header fonts and tiny handwriting. I tried to incorporate more colors in every spread. I spent money on stickers and washi tapes. I tried doodling without any noticeable success and that actually made me very upset.

I did all that just to realize that I prefer my own handwriting, black liners, a couple of dark brown and grey markers, pieces of lined paper and makeup ad brochures over everything I’ve mentioned above.

Okay, I decided to come back with a spread dedicated to a movie that was a true discovery for me. ‘A Single Man’ by Tom Ford is one of the few movies that I seriously call a masterpiece. It helped me to discover what true love is, how the pain of loss can feel like, what a palette of emotions can a human being express is just twenty four hours. I have so many feelings towards this movie (and the book as well), so I’ll make a separate post about it with some other spread.

Anyway, I’m very glad to be back with inspiration, new ideas and new style, my own style. You’ll get to know me a lot more!

P.S. about the cute handwriting, stickers etc. - it’s perfect if that’s what you really like and what you love putting in your journal, so it wasn’t meant to offend anyone who prefers such a style! I just figured out that it’s what most studyblrs do (and I did so myself, to be entirely honest) and it took me almost a year to realize that it’s not particularly my technique and I can’t force myself to do it anymore.

LONG TIME NO SEE TUMBLR!!

yes, your Daria’s back! I’m 20 now, I’ve taken so many exams my eyes nearly popped out and my head nearly exploded, I traveled to Russia for summer holidays and I’m getting back to journaling!

these few months were really tough so I had no time nor strength to come back and sort everything out… BUT I’m finally here so I will queue your post, message you, have fun with you and enjoy the rest of my holidays! how are you doing lately?

hey guys, gals and non-binary pals,

just wanted to let you know that i did a small change because i do a lot more journalling and i not so many notes these days, so i don’t see myself as much of a studyblr material anymore?? idk

all my tags are the same and i’ll be tracking #nocturnalstudyblr and reblogging studyblr content, it’s just that i won’t post much of it myself

anyway, the nocturnaljournal url was already taken so i mixed it up a bit and here we are! not much of a change, but a little something that suits me better

GUESS WHO’S BACK

Oh yeah, that’s nocturnalstudyblr again and I’M PRETTY MUCH ALIVE!

My fifth semester has kicked off recently and I got back to journaling!! I’m going to post more (HOPEFULLY) so I decided a redesign wouldn’t hurt...

That’s pretty much a basic one not to distract you from my posts and whatevs!! I became a lot more minimalistic when it comes to clothing, making notes and journaling so I want my blog to resemble the style. Hope you enjoy it anyway!!

Ofc there are many studyblrs I missed (hey @einstetic I’m still alive haha!!) and I’m planning to stay active in the community with a slight shift from study notes to bujo spreads.
